  • a shroud 42 made of pliable material extends from back frame member 36 over to an edge frame member 44.
  • Edge frame member 44 is removably coupled to base 32 and upper bracket 40, as will be explained in more detail below. Since shroud 42 is made of a pliable material, it is preferably stretched taut when edge frame member 44 is coupled to base 32 and upper bracket 40 to give shroud 42 a flat and neat, unwrinkled appearance. The pliability of the shroud material also allows the shroud 42 to absorb direct minor impact by flexing.
  • Shroud 42 can be made of any suitable material including, but not limited to, a natural material or a synthetic fabric material, a plastic sheeting, and various layers and/or combinations thereof.

  • the ability of edge frame member 44 to break away in such a manner when a force exceeding a threshold magnitude is applied may be enhanced by providing anchor 60 with a tapered upper surface 64 (FIG. 7).

Abstract

La présente invention concerne une porte à enroulement latéral (10) équipée d'un rideau à enroulement latéral horizontal (12) et comprenant un rouleau vertical (18) protégé par un écran souple (42). Cet écran (42) est soutenu par un châssis comprenant un dispositif de dégagement et/ou des éléments de châssis se remplaçant facilement (44, 46). Pour avoir accès au rouleau (18) pour des opérations d'entretien, les éléments de châssis permettent de déplacer sélectivement l'écran (42) entre une position installée et une position repliée. Dans certains cas, le dispositif de dégagement permet à l'écran (42) de se dégager dans certains sens plus commodes que d'autres. De façon facultative, l'écran (42) comporte un joint qui touche le rideau quand l'écran (42) est en position installée.
