Description

A method of improving useful parameters of the objects which are provided with transparent combined elements, and an electronic system intended to use this method.
The subject-matter of this invention is a method of improving usefull parameters of the objects with transparent combined elements, in particular those of cars, aircrafts and buildings provided with combined windows, and an electronic system to use this method. Known from Polish Norm PN-B- 13079: 1997 is a combined window which is a unit composed of at least two panes of glass which are separated from each other on their whole /circumferential/ circuit by a distance element and are joined together by means of various sealing processes employed onto their borders, having air-tight sealed spaces between the panes of glass which panes have absorbers of moisture, air or other gases. The windows are made as one or more chamber ones depending on the number of the transparent elements which have different colour shades with various coefficients of refraction of light, the windows with blue, brown, green or graphite shades being usually in use.
The so made combined windows have many advantages because they can protect a given object against the loss of heat, prevent its becoming excessively heated or against the noise, and they are known as heat absorbing, sun proof and sound absorbing windows. Known from the Polish patent description No. 184220 is a transparent building element composed of at least two panes of transparent material situated parallel to one another to create an intermediate space, having at least one plate and/or a mat from the fibre reinforced aero-gel.
From the Polish patent application No. 179736 is also known the method of assembling combined windows, consisting in that is pre- prepared a glass unit composed of one glass pane with a spacer sticking to it and provided with a sealant and an elastic element, to both of which another pane of glass is sticking to define a between-pane space about which the spacer is sticking. From the so pre-prepared unit the air is removed out of the between-pane space and afterward a gaz with a lesser thermal conductivity than the thermal conductivity of air is brought into it and after, the panes of glass are the compressed together to seal the between-pane space.
Also from the specification of the Polish patent application no. 354376 are known transparent thermal insulations with a high thermal resistance, in particular combined windows are meant whose medium, which fills the insulations, is an invisible amorphous means whose all ingredients have a similar coefficient of refraction and dispersion of light. The medium is a two-phase polymer-fluid system composed of a polimer-spongy skeleton filled with transparent fluid of weak thermal conductivity, the both medias having similar coefficients of refraction and dispersion of light.
Further is known from the specification of the Polish patent application no. 312835 a colouring compound containing a colouring means and a transorber of ultraviolet radiation, which colouring means is able to change the colour when the absorber is subjected to the action of this ultraviolet radiation, the transober absorbing the ultraviolet radiation and reacting with the colouring means to change its colour irreversibly. The above qualities of the windows /panes of glass/ gile rise to a diverse use of the windows among other things as car windscreens, panoramic and futuramic windows and in the building industry especially as building sight partitions or as solar batteries.
But the combined windows made this way and provided with the transparent elements do not come to all the expectations of the users of cars and aircrafts and glazed building constructions when variable atmospheric conditions caused in particular by fog, snow-storms, snow and rainfalls take place about these objects and reduce the visible ( electromagnetic ) radiation at the same time. The aim of the invention is to develop a method of filling with a coloured agent or coloured agents the between-pane space or between- pane spaces in the combined windows having transparent elements, and changing their colour or colours at the time of changing atmospheric conditions of the air surrounding an object equipped with such combined windows and thereby reducing visibility and maintaining hitherto existing useful qualities, especially visible radiation, of these windows in the changing atmospheric conditions, considerably improving useful parameters of these objects, heat absorption and sun- proomess included, at the time of the atmospheric conditions occurring. An additional aim of this invention is to develop an electronic system to make it possible to obtain an optimally uniform colour of the agent or agents to be brought into the space between the panes of glass and to control the process of changing its or their colours to be adapted to the changing atmospheric conditions round an object having a combined window.
It has been stated unexpectedly that introduction into the space or spaces between the panes of glass, of a carrier or carriers with the suitable colour or colours and obtainment from them, in these spaces or this space, of a uniform colour adapted to the atmospheric conditions of
80 the air surrounding a car equipped with the combined windows, resulted in obtainment of the normal visibility at the time of a big fog, snowstorms and rain-and snow- falls and in the case of a normal sunny weather and of a considerable decrease of solar heating inside a car. The essence of the method of improving useful parameters of the
85 objects equipped with transparent combined elements in particular with combined windows according to the invention consists in the fact that the values of the parameters of the illumination and of the air surrounding the combined window of an object are being measured and then, depending on the results obtained, into the empty space or spaces
90 between the panes of glass of this window is brought in, using a programmed control method, the carrier of a colour or such colours which after their additive mixing together, will give rise to an optimal uniform colour in the spaces between the panes of glass, the colour being adapted to actual atmospheric conditions of the air surrounding
95 this object. It is advantageous if the carriers of the colours which fill the spacer between the panes of glass have their coefficients of refraction of light close to one another and if the fluid, gaz or coloured light are used as carriers of colours. It is also advantageous if the colours / dyes/ placed in the space or spaces between the panes of glass have colours
100 contained in "colour circle ' .
The essence of the electronic system intended for the method according to this invention consists in that it is composed of a light meter whose outlet is connected to the input of the controller equipped with a programmer having a processor whose outlet is connected to the
105 input of a check- valve- pump which is leakproof check- valve coupled to the dispenser of the set of the carriers of the colours and to the space or spaces between the panes of glass of the combined windows. The carrier of the colours which are to be found in the dispenser of the set is fluid or gaz or coloured light and the colours in this set have colours
110 contained in ,,colour circle".
The essence of the method of improving the useful parameters of the objects equipped with transparent combined elements especially with the combined windows combined according to the invention, using a manual method, consists in that the user of a given object chooses
115 himself, using a visual method, a suitable colour or colours and brings it or them manually, using a carrier, into the empty space or empty spaces between the panes of glass of the combined windows and these colours, after having been additively mixed together, give rise to an optimal uniform colour in the space or spaces of this object.
120 The electronic system to be used for the above described method is composed of a micro-processor, preferably of an analog-digital one, whose outlet is connected to the input of a check-valve pump which is leakproof check valve coupled to the dispenser of the set of the carriers of the colours and to the space or spaces between the panes of glass of
125 the combined windows.
The solution according to the invention consisting in filling the space between the panes of glass of the combined windows by means of a medium having the colour changing according to the parameters of the atmospheric air surrounding a given object, which object is equipped
130 with such windows, has many economic and usefull /practical/ advantages. Among these advantages has to be included, in particular, the maintaining of the visibility at the time of changing weather conditions of the atmospheric air, especially in the case of a fog, snowstorms, rain-falls, which is a matter of the greatest importance to the
135 cars and aircrafts being in motion in such weather conditions as far as safety of driving, and flying to be improved are concerned.
Among the advantages of the solution of the technical problem by means of the method according to the invention have to be included the protection of objects of all kinds equipped with the combined windows
140 having the medium with changing colour against excessive heating of their rooms and the possibility to heat their rooms in case of low temperatures because this leads to a reduction of costs of cooling and heating thereof. Among the advantages of the solution according to the invention can also be included the possibility of having decorative
145 compositions on the objects with the combined windows by changing the colour of the medium intended for the spaces between the panes of glass of these windows to be filled with it.
The subject matter of the invention is specified in detail in the drawings using an example of an embodiment, where Fig.1 illustrates
150 the electronic unit system intended to improve useful parameters of the object provided with a combined window with one space between the panes of glass which is commonly used on cars, Fig.2 illustrates the electronic unit system intended to improve useful parameters of the object provided with transparent combined elements with two spaces
155 between the panes of glass, which transparent combined elements are used in building objects as glazed partitions, and Fig. 3 illustrates a manually controlled electronic unit system intended to improve useful parameters of the object provided with transparent combined elements with two spaces between the panes of glass, which transparent
160 combined elements are used in architectural objects as glazed partitions.
The method of improving useful parameters of the objects equipped with transparent combined elements in the form of the combined windows consists in the fact that in their surroundings, using known methods, measurements are taken of the values of parameters of
165 illumination and those of the atmospheric air especially such like dispersion, absorption, visible radiation, ambient temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity, fog, precipitations, visibility, electrical discharges. Then, depending on the measuring results obtained, in the empty space or spaces between the panes of glass of these windows is
170 being brought the carrier of the colour or colours to be defined by a micro-processor and the software of the controller which colours after their additive mixing give rise to an optimal uniform colour in the space or spaces between the panes of glass, the colour having been adapted to factual atmospheric conditions of the air surrounding this object. The
175 carriers of the colours intended to fill the space or spaces between the panes of glass have similar coefficients of refraction of light, the fluid, gaz and coloured light as well having been used as carriers of the colours. In addition, these colours have been chosen from the ,,colour circle".
180 The electronic system intended to realize the method according to the invention is composed of a light meter I whose outlet WyI is connected to the input WeI of the controller 2 which is equipped with a programmer having a processor, the outlet Wy2 of which is connected to the input We2 of a check valve pump 3_ to be leakproof check valve
185 coupled to the dispenser of the set 4 of colours and to the space 5 or to spaces between the panes of glass 6 and 7 of the combined windows 8 and 9 . The carrier of the colours in the dispenser of the set 4 is fluid, and in other embodiments of the system - gaz or coloured light, these colours having colours included in the ,,colour circle" and their
190 coefficients of refraction of light being similar.
The principle of operation of the electronic system which makes it possible to realize the above described method consists in that, using a light meter 1_, the parameters of illumination and of the atmospheric air surrounding the combined 8 window with one space 5_ between the
195 panes of glass have been measured and the same parameters of illumination and of the atmospheric air surrounding the combined 9 window with two spacer 6, and 7 5 between the panes of glass have been measured. The results of the measurement obtained have been transmitted by the light meter i to the controller 2 , which is connected
200 to it, whose microprocessor, by means of a suitable software, has chosen the colour and colours intended to fill the space 5_ between the panes of glass of the combined window 8 and the spaces 6 and 7 between the panes of glass of the combined window £. Then, this information is transmitted by the controller 2_to the check valve pump
205 3 which is check valve connected to the dispenser of the set 4 containing twelve colours which make the „ colour circle" and are dissolved in water constituting their carrier from which carrier the pump, according to the information transmitted by the controller 2, has chosen a carrier with yellow colour K) and has forced it through in the
210 space 5 between the panes of glass of the combined window 8^ Concerning the combined_window 9 with two spaces 6_and 7. the check valve pump 3 has chosen, according to the information transmitted by the controller 2χ the carrier with yellow colourJU) and the carrier with blue colour_ϋ and has forced them into these spaces. Following the
215 additive mixing of the yellow colour K) and blue colourJJ, we obtain uniform green colour adapted to the factual conditions of illumination and of the atmospheric air surrounding the combined window 9.
Based on the second example of the embodiment, the method of improving the useful parameters of the objects provided with
220 transparent combined elements in the form of the combined windows consists in that the user of a given object makes himself, using the visual method, a choice among the colours to have a suitable colour or suitable colours and manually brings it or them, using a carrier, into the empty space or empty spaces between the panes of glass, which
225 colours, after their additive mixing, give rise to an optimal uniform colour in the space or spaces between the panes of glass of this object.
The electronic system intended for the above described method according to the invention to be manually realized is composed of a micro-computer JL2, preferably the analog-digital one, the outlet of
230 which is connected to the jnput of the check-valve pump 3 which is leakproof check- valve coupled to the dispenser of the set 4 of the carrier of the colours and to the spaces 6_and 7 between the panes of glass of the combined windows 9.
The principle of operation of this system consists in that the user of
235 an object provided with the combined windows 8 and 9 introduces manually in its empty spaces 5 or 6 and 7 into the micro-computer Yl , using its key-board, a suitable code or codes or possibly the name of the chosen colour or colours of the dyes placed in the dispenser of their set 4 and after this micro-computer transmits this information to the check-
240 valve pump 3 being in co-operation with it and check-valve coupled to this dispenser containing twelve colours dissolved in a gaseous medium which is their carrier, from which dispenser this pump, according to the information transmitted by the micro-computer 12, has selected the carrier with yellow colour 10 and the carrier with blue colour JJL and
245 has forced them through into the spaces 6 and 7. A green colour as required has been achieved as a result of the additive mixing of these colours.
