Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Teilchenstrahl-Therapieanlage (2) mit einer Beschleunigereinrichtung (4) zur Bereitstellung eines Strahls geladener Teilchen, mit einer Strahlführungseinheit (10, 10a, 10b; 10b*), welche den Strahl ausgehend von der Beschleunigereinrichtung (4) einem Behandlungsort (18) zuführt, mit wenigstens einem entlang des Strahlwegs (6) angeordneten Strahleigenschafts-Monitor (28; 28*), und mit einer mit dem Strahleigenschafts-Monitor (28; 28*) und der Strahlführungseinheit (10, 10a, 10b; 10b*) kommunizierenden Kontrolleinheit, welche Abweichungen der Isteigenschaften von den Solleigenschaften des Strahls ermittelt und an Hand der Abweichungen Stellsignale zur Anpassung der Strahleigenschaften an die Strahlführungseinheit (10, 10a, 10b; 10b*) übermittelt. Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zu Grunde, eine Teilchenstrahl-Therapieanlage anzugeben, mit welcher eine präzise Strahlführung auch während eines Behandlungsvorgangs, insbesondere während der Durchführung eines Teilchenstrahl-Therapieverfahrens, gewährleistet werden kann. Gelöst wird die Aufgabe dadurch, dass der Strahleigenschafts-Monitor (28; 28*) derart an der zum Strahlweg (6) senkrechten Peripherie des Strahls angeordnet ist, dass die Strahleigenschaften durch unmittelbare Wechselwirkung mit Teilchen des Strahls im Halobereich (36) und/oder mittelbar durch elektromagnetische Wechselwirkung erfasst werden. Die Erfindung betrifft weiterhin ein Verfahren zum Führen eines Strahls geladener Teilchen in einer Teilchenstrahl-Therapieanlage.
