- Fig. 1 is a flowchart of an advertisement delivery method according to Embodiment 1 of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the method includes:
- Step 101 After receiving the advertisement placement request, the advertisement client or the service server selects advertisement information to be placed according to the advertisement placement request.
- the advertisement placement request may come from a business client (Ad ⁇ ) on the terminal, and when the audience user runs a game program or opens a certain webpage, the business client sends an advertisement placement request, where the advertisement placement request may carry a user identification
- advertising parameters such as service provider identifier or advertising client identifier, terminal information (such as model, etc.), context data, advertising provider, advertising slot identifier, advertising size, and advertising size.
- selecting the advertisement information to be delivered according to the advertisement delivery request may specifically be: the advertisement client or the service server performs advertisement selection in the local cache, and if the advertisement information is not found in the local cache, it may send to the advertisement server An advertisement selection request, thereby receiving the advertisement information selected by the advertisement server.
- the advertisement information may be selected according to one or more of the advertisement parameters carried in the advertisement placement request.
- Step 102 Judging the validity of the advertisement information according to the advertisement metadata generated by the advertisement server associated with the selected advertisement information.
- step 102 can be divided into two situations. One is that the validity judgment is completed by the advertising client or the service server, and the other is that the validity judgment is completed by the advertising server. Before the validity of the advertisement information, it is possible to judge whether the advertisement information needs to be checked for validity according to the validity indication information in the advertisement metadata. Describe the effectiveness of advertising information.
- the advertiser limits the overall budget or daily budget, the total amount of advertisements, and/or the exposure frequency limit, and other advertisement delivery strategy information for the advertisement delivery activities.
- the validity check instruction information can be formulated by the advertising server and preset in the advertising client or service server, or it can be the advertising client (compared to Such as user) or business server set by themselves.
- the setting method is not particularly limited. For example, it can be sent through a message, or it can also be formulated at the time of service ordering. According to the instruction content of the validity check instruction information, it can be judged whether the validity check is required.
- Advertisement metadata may include one or more of the following: advertisement identification, advertisement slot information, Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) type, MIME version, advertisement storage location, advertisement size , Advertisement interaction type, advertisement interaction universal resource identifier (Uniform Resource Identifier, URI for short), advertisement width, advertisement height, advertisement length, advertisement keywords, displayable time, validity period, frequency information, priority, etc.
- MIME Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions
- URI Uniform Resource Identifier
- advertisement server needs to perform macroscopic control, and the stored advertisement metadata information will be richer, and it may also include information such as total exposure frequency limit, total advertisement placement, advertisement placement strategy and/or measurement data collection strategy.
- the advertisement to be delivered is selected from the local cache of the advertisement client or business server, it is necessary to send a validity request or advertisement metadata request to the advertisement server or directly based on the cached advertisement metadata. judge. If the advertisement to be delivered is requested from the advertisement server, the advertisement server completes the validity judgment, and sends the validity instruction to the advertisement client or the service server.
- Step 103 Determine whether to place the advertisement information according to the validity of the advertisement information. Specifically, when the advertisement information is valid, the advertisement information is delivered immediately; when the advertisement information is temporarily invalid, the advertisement information is delayed; when the advertisement information is completely invalid, the advertisement information is deleted and Do not serve it.
- the specific content can refer to the following description.
- step 102 and step 103 may specifically include the following steps, step 102 may include steps 102A and 102B, and step 103 may include steps 103A, 103B, and 103C.
- Step 102A It is determined whether the advertisement information meets any deletion condition, and when it is determined that the advertisement information does not satisfy any of the deletion conditions, it indicates that the advertisement information may be valid, and then step 102B is continued; otherwise, it indicates If the advertisement information is completely invalid, step 103A is executed.
- the deletion conditions may include: the advertisement information has exceeded the validity period; the total number of exposures of the advertisement information has been reached; the overall budget of the advertisement information has been reached; and the advertisement information has been cancelled. Specifically as follows:
- the process of judging the validity period is: judging whether the current time exceeds the start time (Val idS tar t ime) and the end time (Val idEndT ime) of the validity period in the advertisement metadata, if it exceeds this time, it is invalid, if it is in the validity period Within, it is valid.
- the process of judging the total number of exposures is: the advertising server collects in advance the metering data reported by the advertising client or the business server, including the number of exposures (ie the number of "impresions" or the number of clicks), and the advertising server compares the preset number (ie the number of advertising).
- the preset number ie the number of advertising
- the total number of exposures purchased by the master and the total number of exposures currently collected determine whether the number of existing exposures exceeds the preset value, if it exceeds, the advertisement needs to be placed too much, and the advertisement needs to be invalidated, if it does not exceed, then the placement is insufficient. Need to continue to run, the advertisement is effective.
- the process of judging the overall budget is: Calculate the cost based on the collected measurement data. If the spent cost is less than the budget, it needs to continue to be delivered and the advertisement is effective; if the spent cost exceeds the budget, it is no longer delivered and the advertisement is invalid.
- the process of judging the cancellation of advertising information is that if the advertiser decides to withdraw the advertisement (such as insufficient funds) or the advertisement server (such as the operator's operating strategy determines that the advertisement needs to be cancelled), the advertisement server will mark or delete the cancelled advertisement.
- Step 102B Determine whether the advertisement information meets any of the pause conditions; when it is determined that the advertisement information does not meet any of the pause conditions, it indicates that the advertisement information is valid, and step 103C is performed; otherwise, it indicates that the advertisement information is temporarily If it is invalid, go to step 1 03B.
- the suspension condition may include: the daily budget of the advertisement information has been reached, and/or the frequency limit of the advertisement information for an audience of users has been reached.
- the specific description is as follows:
- the judgment process of the daily budget is similar to the judgment process of the overall budget, except that statistics and judgments are only made for each day. Because sometimes, advertisers will request budgets and arrangements for each day. Advertisers do not want ads to be placed too intensively or too evacuated.
- the judgment process of the frequency limit for a single user is similar to the judgment process of the total frequency, except that statistics and judgments are only performed for a single user. Because sometimes, advertisers will request placement arrangements for individual users. Advertisers do not want to place too many or too few times on a single user, and the effect of such advertisements will not be very good.
- Step 103A When any one of the deletion conditions is met, indicating that the advertisement information is completely invalid, the advertisement information is deleted, and the advertisement information is not delivered;
- Step 103B When any one of the pause conditions is met, it indicates that the advertisement information is temporarily invalid, and then the advertisement information is postponed;
- the relaunch time after the delay can be set according to conditions such as exposure frequency restrictions. For example, based on the collection and statistics of metering data, the ad server can postpone the ad to the next day or the next day if an ad is delivered too many times and exceeds the frequency limit of the day. It will be launched every week to achieve a better delivery effect.
- the specific delay time depends on the strategy defined by the ad server or advertiser.
- Step 103C When any one of the deletion conditions is not satisfied and any one of the suspension conditions is not satisfied, it indicates that the advertisement information is valid, and the advertisement information is immediately delivered.
- the advertisement targeting conditions may include the targeting of the user and the targeting of the content and/or service that bears the advertisement. If the user meets the advertisement targeting conditions, but the business does not, the advertisement cannot be placed this time, but next time It may be available for delivery, so the advertisement metadata needs to be updated. If the two targeting conditions are not met, even if the metadata is updated, the advertisement will not be selected in the local cache. At this time, the maintenance mechanism of the local cache library can delete the advertisement.
- the existence of the advertisement information is determined according to the advertisement metadata associated with the selected advertisement information and updated by the advertisement server. Therefore, it solves the problem that the locally cached advertisement metadata is not synchronized with the advertisement metadata registered by the advertiser on the advertisement server, so that the total exposure frequency limit on the terminal side and the network side can be accurately and controllably realized, so that the advertising platform It can avoid invalid advertising, reduce the cost of advertisers, and improve the return on investment of advertising.
- the advertisement can be directly delivered when the predetermined number of advertisement exposures has not been reached, without the need to determine the advertisement information. Effectiveness.
- Fig. 3 is a flowchart of the advertisement delivery method according to the second embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the method includes:
- Step 301 After receiving the advertisement placement request, the advertisement client or the service server selects the advertisement information to be placed according to the advertisement placement request.
- step 101 shown in FIG. 1 the validity judgment of the advertisement information is completed by the advertisement server, and specifically includes the following steps 302-304.
- Step 302 The advertisement client or service server sends a validity check request to the advertisement server, so that the advertisement server judges the validity of the advertisement information according to the updated advertisement metadata stored by itself.
- the validity check request may carry advertisement parameters such as the advertisement identification (ID) and/or the audience user identification (ID) of the advertisement information to be checked, so that the advertisement server knows which advertisement information needs to be checked for validity.
- the specific advertising metadata update process is: the advertising server collects the metering data from the advertising client and the business server, and modifies the frequency limit (FrequencyCap information); based on the internal strategy of the advertising server or the advertiser’s requirements, the validity period and priority are modified And displayable time, etc.
- Step 303 The advertisement client or service server receives the advertisement server according to the Advertisement delivery instruction message sent based on the validity of the advertisement information.
- the advertisement placement instruction message is made by the advertisement server according to the validity of the advertisement information, that is, after the advertisement server determines the effectiveness of the advertisement information, it will send an advertisement placement instruction message to the advertisement client or the service server .
- the advertisement delivery instruction message may include advertisement processing instruction information, which is used to instruct the business server or the advertisement client how to process the locally cached advertisement information, for example, may include immediate advertisement information, deletion advertisement information, or delayed advertisement information, etc. .
- Step 304 The advertisement client or service server determines whether to place the advertisement information according to the advertisement placement instruction message.

步驟 103A , 当满足任一所述删除条件时, 表明该广告信息完全无效, 则删除所述广告信息, 且不对其进行投放;
步驟 103B , 当满足任一所述暂停条件时, 表明该广告信息暂时无效, 则延时投放所述广告信息;
401: 广告客户端或业务服务器接收广告投放请求, 该步骤具体可以参 考上述实施例的相关部分的描述;
402: 根据所述广告投放请求在本地緩存中选择待投放的广告信息, 即选 择符合所述广告参数的广告信息;
403:本地緩存中是否有被请求的广告信息,若有,则选择成功,转向 404; 否则, 转向 403a;
403a: 向广告服务器(Ad server )发送广告选择请求;
403b:广告服务器根据该广告选择请求选择所需的广告信息返回给广告客 户端或业务服务器;
404: 判断选择到的广告信息是否需要进行有效性检验(Check ) , 若是, 则转向 404b; 否则, 转向 404a;
404b: 向广告服务器发送有效性检验请求;
405: 广告服务器根据该广告服务器中保存的所述更新后的广告元数据, 判断所述广告信息的有效性, 具体的判断该广告信息是否符合删除条件或暂 停条件可以参考上述实施例的相关描述, 在此不再赘述;
406: 广告服务器根据判断出的所述广告信息的有效性向所述广告客户端 或业务服务器发送广告投放指示消息;
407: 广告客户端或业务服务器根据广告投放指示消息判断是否允许投放 广告信息, 若允许立即投放, 则转向 407a; 否则根据广告投放指示消息对广 告信息进行相应处理, 如删除或延时投放, 可以转向 402重新选择被请求的广 告信息或者延时投放所述广告信息;
<placement-decision>
<adid>XX</adid>
<decision>Y</decision>
<action>keep</ action>
</placement-decision>
<placement-decision>
<adid>XX</adid>
<decision>Y</decision>
<action>update</ action>
<AdContentData>XXX</AdContentData>
</p1acement-decision>
<placement-decision>
<adid>XX</adid>
<decision>N</decision>
<action>delete</action>
</placement-decision>
<placement-decision>
<adid>XX</adid>
<decision>N</decision>
<action>keep</ action>
<renew-start-time>2009.7.1</renew-start-time>
<renew-end-time>2009.7.5</renew-end-time>
</placement-decision>
<placement-decision>
<adid>XX</adid>
<decision>N</decision>
<action>update</ action>
<AdContentData>XXX</AdContentData>
601至 603b 用于进行广告信息的选择, 具体过程可参考图 4中所示的 401 至 403b;
则转向 604b; 否则, 转向 604a , 其中判断是否要进行有效性检验的具体过程 可以参考上述各个实施例的相关描述, 在此不再赘述;
604a:直接投放选择到的广告信息,流程结束;
604b: 向广告服务器发送元数据更新请求;
605: 广告服务器根据所述元数据检验请求选择更新后的广告元数据; 606: 广告服务器返回更新后的广告元数据;
607: 所述广告客户端或业务服务器根据本地緩存的更新后的广告元数据 判断所述广告信息的有效性, 以决定是否允许投放, 若允许立即投放, 则转 向 607a; 否则, 才艮据判断出的有效性对广告信息进行相应处理, 如删除或延 时等, 则可以转向 602重新选择被请求的广告信息或者延时投放所述广告信 息;
<AdEngineMetadataRequest>
<AdID>XX</AdID>
<UserID>YY</UserID>
</AdEngineMetadataRequest>
<AdEngineMetadataResponse>
<AdID>XX</AdID>
<UserID>YY</UserID>
<AdMetadata>
<ValidStartTime>2009-7-7<A^alidStartTime>
<Va1idEndTime>2009-7-10<A^a1idEndTime>
<FrequencyCap>2</FrequencyCap>
</AdMetadata>
<AdEngineAdResponse>
<AdContentData AdId="XX">Ad Content Data</AdContentData> <DeletedAdId>AdId_Example</DeletedAdId>
</AdEngineAdResponse>
<AdServerPushNotification>
<NotificationType>Ad Deletion</NotificationType>
<AdId> AdId_Example</AdId>
</AdServerPushNotification>
