Abstract

金型における成型部の耐久性を確保しつつ簡単な構成で成型部を加熱することができる成型装置および同成型装置による成型方法を提供する。 成型装置100は、成型対象とるなる製品PRを成型加工する第1金型110と第2金型120とを備えている。第1金型110および第2金型120は、互いに対向する面の中央部に第1成型部111および第2成型部121が形成されている。第1成型部111および第2成型部121は、製品PRの表面形状に対応する3次元形状がそれぞれ形成されている。第1金型110および第2金型120における第1成型部111および第2成型部121の各周囲には、断熱絶縁体113,124が設けられている。また、第1金型110および第2金型120は、入出力電極132,133を介して給電装置136が接続されているとともに、連結電極134,135によって電気的に接続または切断可能に連結されている。

Description

成型装置および同成型装置による成型方法
 本発明は、成型の対象となる製品の表面形状に対応した3次元形状に形成された一対の金型内に、可塑性または流動性を有する被成型材料を配置(射出を含む)して製品を成型する成型装置および同成型装置による成型方法に関する。
 従来から、可塑性または流動性を有する被成型材料、例えば、樹脂材料や金属材料を一対の金型内に配置して成型加工を行う成型装置がある。このような成型装置においては、被成型材料を成型する前に金型における被成型材料を成型する成型部を予め加熱することにより、被成型材料の可塑性または流動性の低下を抑えて精度良く成型加工できることが知られている。
 この場合、金型を予備加熱する方法としては、例えば、下記各特許文献1~5に示されるように、金型の周囲または金型の成型部にインダクタを配置して金型または成型部を誘導加熱する誘導加熱方式(下記特許文献1,2参照)、金型内部に電熱線や加熱した流体を通す流路を設けて金型または成型部を加熱する熱源埋設方式(下記特許文献3,4参照)、金型の成型部に対して発熱体(例えば、電熱線や赤外線ランプなど)を配置または加熱した流体を供給することにより金型または成型部を加熱する外部熱源方式(下記特許文献5,6参照)、および金型表面に絶縁層を介して導電層を設けてこの導電層に通電することにより金型を加熱する表層通電方式(下記特許文献7)など知られている。これらのうち、表層通電方式は、他の方式に比べて、被成型材料を投入して製品を成型し終えるまでのサイクルタイムが短いとともに金型や成型部を加熱するための構成が簡単であるという利点を有している。

 しかしながら、表層通電方式においては、金型の表層に絶縁層および導電層をそれぞれ形成する必要があり、これらの絶縁層および導電層の形成工程が煩雑であるという問題がある。特に、金型の成形工程においては、複数回の成型部の修正、すなわち型修正が行なわれるため、その都度、絶縁層および導電層の形成を行なわなければならない。また、絶縁層および導電層が形成された金型は、数回ないし数十回の成型工程によって薄膜である導電層が損傷するため金型の耐久性が低いとともに金型のメンテナンス作業が煩雑であるという問題もあった。
 本発明は上記問題に対処するためなされたもので、その目的は、金型における成型部の耐久性を確保しつつ簡単な構成で成型部を加熱することができる成型装置および同成型装置による成型方法を提供することにある。
 上記目的を達成するため、請求項1に係る本発明の特徴は、成型対象となる製品の表面の一部に対応する3次元形状に形成された第1成型部を有する第1金型と、製品の表面の他の一部に対応する3次元形状に形成された第2成型部を有して第1金型に対向配置される第2金型とを備え、第1成型部と第2成型部との間に被成型材料を配置して製品を成型する成型装置において、第1金型および第2金型のうちの少なくとも一方に電気を流すための金型通電手段を備え、第1金型および/または第2金型は、前記通電される第1成型部および/または第2成型部の肉厚が同第1成型部および/または第2成型部の周囲に形成されて同第1成型部および/または同第2成型部を支持する外周部の肉厚より薄肉に形成されていることにある。
 このように構成した請求項1に係る本発明の特徴によれば、成型装置は、製品の表面を形成するための第1成型部および第2成型部の少なくとも一方の第1金型および/または第2金型に対して通電する金型通電手段を備えている。そして、金型通電手段によって通電される第1成型部および/または第2成型部の肉厚は、同第1成型部および第2成型部の周囲に形成された金型外周部の肉厚より薄肉に形成されている。すなわち、加熱対象部分である第1成型部および/または第2成型部の断面積が小さくなるとともに同部分の抵抗値が大きくなる。このため、第1金型および/または第2金型に直流または交流電流を通電した場合においては、第1成型部および/または第2成型部が金型外周部と一様な肉厚で形成されている場合に比べて、少ない電力量で早期に加熱することができる。また、この場合、第1成型部および/または第2成型部は、従来技術における導電層や絶縁層が不要なため金型の製作およびメンテナンス工数が低減される。すなわち、本発明に係る成型装置においては、金型における成型部の耐久性を確保しつつ簡単な構成で加熱することができる。
 また、請求項2に係る本発明の他の特徴は、前記成型装置において、第1金型および/または第2金型は、薄肉に形成された第1成型部および/または第2成型部の裏側に第1成型部および/または第2成型部に沿って空洞部が形成されていることにある。
 このように構成した請求項2に係る本発明の他の特徴によれば、成型装置は、第1金型および/または第2金型における第1成型部および/または第2成型部の裏側に、第1成型部および/または第2成型部に沿って空洞部が形成されている。この場合、第1成型部および第2成型部の裏側とは、第1成型部および第2成型部が被成型材料を成型する面とは反対側を意味する。これにより、第1金型および/または第2金型に通電した際、供給した電気が第1金型および/または第2金型内における中央部分を流れることを防止して第1成型部および/または第2成型部に通電させることができる。すなわち、第1金型および/または第2金型内を最短経路で流れようとする電流を第1成型部および/または第2成型部に導くことができ、第1金型および/または第2金型内を効率的に加熱することができる。また、第1金型および/または第2金型に形成された空洞部により成型装置の軽量化を図ることができるとともに、第1金型および/または第2金型に形成された空洞部に成型装置を構成する他の部材、部品または機構などを収容することができ、成型装置の構成をより小型化することができる。
 また、請求項3に係る本発明の他の特徴は、前記成型装置において、さらに、空洞部に、第1成型部および/または第2成型部に対して冷却用流体を供給する冷却流体供給手段を設けたことにある。
 このように構成した請求項3に係る本発明の他の特徴によれば、成型装置は、空洞部に、第1成型部および/または第2成型部に対して冷却用流体を供給する冷却流体供給手段が設けられている。この場合、冷却用流体としては、水、油、液体窒素、水蒸気または空気などの各種液体および気体を用いることができる。これにより、冷却流体供給手段が設けられた第1金型および/または第2金型は、加熱状態にある第1成型部および/または第2成型部を早期に冷却することができる。また、この場合、第1成型部および/または第2成型部の肉厚が薄く形成されているため、より早期に冷却できるとともにより早期に再加熱することができる。
 また、請求項4に係る本発明の他の特徴は、前記成型装置において、さらに、空洞部に、第1成型部および/または第2成型部を支えるリブを設けたことにある。
 このように構成した請求項4に係る本発明の他の特徴によれば、成型装置は、空洞部に、第1成型部および/または第2成型部を支えるリブが設けられている。これにより、第1成型部および/または第2成型部の剛性を確保しつつ薄肉化を図ることができ、より効率的に第1成型部および/または第2成型部を加熱することができる。
 また、請求項5に係る本発明の他の特徴は、前記成型装置において、さらに、空洞部に、第1成型部および/または第2成型部の温度を測定するための温度測定センサを設けたことにある。
 このように構成した請求項5に係る本発明の他の特徴によれば、成型装置は、空洞部に、第1成型部および/または第2成型部の温度を測定するための温度測定センサが設けられている。これにより、第1成型部および/または第2成型部の温度状況を把握することができるため、第1成型部および/または第2成型部の温度を適切に制御することができ、より効率的かつ高精度に成型物を成型することができる。
 また、請求項6に係る本発明の他の特徴は、前記成型装置において、金型通電手段は、第1金型と第2金型とを電気的に接続および切断する電気接続部を備えることにある。
 このように構成した請求項6に係る本発明の他の特徴によれば、成型装置は、金型通電手段が第1金型と第2金型とを電気的に接続および切断する電気接続部を備えている。これにより、金型通電手段は、電気接続部を介することにより一つの電源装置により第1金型と第2金型とに通電することができ、成型装置の構成を簡単にすることができる。
 また、請求項7に係る本発明の他の特徴は、前記成型装置において、第1金型と第2金型との間における外周部に絶縁体を設けたことにある。
 このように構成した請求項7に係る本発明の他の特徴によれば、成型装置は、第1金型と第2金型との間における外周部に絶縁体が設けられている。このため、第1金型と第2金型とを密着させた閉じた状態で通電させることができる。これにより、第1金型および第2金型のうちの一方に通電して加熱することにより、他方の第2金型または第1金型を熱伝導により加熱することができる。また、第1金型と第2金型とを閉じた状態で加熱できるため、第1成型部および第2成型部からに熱の発散を防止して効率的に加熱することができる。さらには、第1金型と第2金型とを閉じた状態で加熱できるため、被成型材料の成型加工中においても第1成型部および第2成型部を加熱することができ、成型加工精度を向上させることができる。
 また、本発明は、成型装置として実施できるばかりでなく、同成型装置を用いた成型方法の発明としても実施できるものである。
 具体的には、請求項8に係る本発明の特徴は、成型対象となる製品の表面の一部に対応する3次元形状に形成された第1成型部を有する第1金型と、製品の表面の他の一部に対応する3次元形状に形成された第2成型部を有して第1金型に対向配置される第2金型とを備え、第1成型部と第2成型部との間に被成型材料を配置して製品を成型する成型方法において、第1成型部および第2成型部のうちの少なくとも一方の肉厚を同第1成型部および/または第2成型部の周囲に形成されて同第1成型部および/または同第2成型部を支持する外周部の肉厚より薄肉に形成しておき、前記薄肉に形成した第1成型部および/または第2成型部が形成された第1金型および/または第2金型に電気を流すことにより第1成型部および/または第2成型部を加熱し、前記加熱された第1成型部および/または第2成型部によって被成型素材を製品に成型することにある。
 また、この場合、請求項9に示すように、前記成型方法において、第1金型および/または第2金型における第1成型部および/または第2成型部の裏側に、第1成型部および/または第2成型部に沿って空洞部を形成しておくとともに、同空洞部に対向して第1成型部および/または第2成型部に対して冷却用流体を供給する冷却流体供給手段を設けておき、被成型材料の成型後に、冷却流体供給手段から冷却用流体を第1成型部および/または第2成型部に対して供給して第1成型部および/または第2成型部を冷却するようにするとよい。
 このように構成した請求項8および請求項9に係る本発明の特徴によれば、前記成型装置と同様の作用効果を得ることができる。

 以下、本発明に係る成型装置の一実施形態について図面を参照しながら説明する。図1は、本発明に係る成型装置100の主要部の構成の概略を模式的に示す断面図である。図2は、成型装置100の作動を制御する制御システムのブロック図である。なお、本明細書において参照する各図は、本発明の理解を容易にするために一部の構成要素を誇張して表わすなど模式的に表している。このため、各構成要素間の寸法や比率などは異なっていることがある。この成型装置100は、熱可塑性樹脂シートと繊維シートとを積層した被成型材料を加熱しながら圧縮して成型することによりFRP(繊維強化プラスチック)製の製品PRを製造する加工機である。この場合、製品PRとしては、二輪または四輪の自動車両、船舶および航空機を構成する各種部品や、これらを駆動するための駆動系を構成する各種部品が相当する。
(成型装置100の構成)
 成型装置100は、第1金型110および第2金型120を備えている。第1金型110および第2金型120は、互いに協働して被成型材料の成型加工を行う鋼製の型であり、互いに対向する面の中央部に第1成型部111および第2成型部121がそれぞれ形成されている。第1成型部111および第2成型部121は、実際に被成型材料に熱および圧縮力を加えて成型加工を行う部分であり、製品PRの表面形状に対応する3次元形状、より具体的には、製品PRの表面の3次元形状を反転させた3次元形状にそれぞれ形成されている。
 本実施形態において第1成型部111は、製品PRにおける図示下側表面の凹形状に対応して図示上側に向かって凸状に突出した形状に形成された所謂コアによって構成されている。この第1金型110における第1成型部111は、第1金型110の第1外周部110aの肉厚(図示上下方向の肉厚)より薄い肉厚(図示上下方向の肉厚)で形成されている。第1外周部110aは、第1金型110における第1成型部111の周囲に平面状に形成された部分であり、第2金型120における第2外周部120aに対向する第2金型120との分割面でもある。すなわち、第1成型部111は、この第1外周部110aの内側に形成されている。この第1外周部110aは、第1金型110が第2金型120からの押圧力を受ける際に、第1成型部111の変形を抑えることができる肉厚で形成されている。本実施形態においては、第1金型110の第1外周部110aの肉厚が約150mmに形成されており、第1成型部111の肉厚が約20mmに形成されている。
 また、第1金型110における第1成型部111の反対側には、凹状に窪んだ形状の第1空洞部112が形成されている。第1空洞部112は、第1成型部111の凸形状に沿った凹形状に形成されている。より具体的には、第1空洞部112は、第1成型部111に沿って形成されるとともに、第1成型部111に対向する内壁面が同第1成型部111に形状に対応する形状、すなわち、第1成型部111の肉厚を第2外周部110aの肉厚より薄い肉厚に維持する形状に形成されている。
 一方、本実施形態において第2成型部122は、製品PRにおける図示上側表面の凸形状に対応して図示下側に向かって凹状に凹んだ形状に形成された所謂キャビティによって構成されている。この第2金型120における第2成型部121は、第2金型120の第2外周部120aの肉厚より薄い肉厚で形成されている。この場合、第2外周部120aは、前記第1外周部110aと同様に、第2金型120における第2成型部121の周囲に平面状に形成された部分であり、第1金型110における第1外周部110aに対向する第1金型110との分割面である。すなわち、第2成型部121は、この第2外周部120aの内側に形成されている。この第2外周部120aは、第2金型110が第1金型110を押圧する際の第1金型110からの反力を受ける際に、第2成型部121の変形を抑えることができる肉厚で形成されている。本実施形態においては、第2金型120の第2外周部120aの肉厚が約150mmに形成されており、第2成型部121の肉厚が約20mmに形成されている。
 また、第2金型120における第2成型部121の反対側には、凹状に窪んだ形状の第2空洞部122が形成されている。第2空洞部122は、第2成型部121における最深部の図示水平部分に沿った凹形状に形成されている。より具体的には、第2空洞部122は、第2成型部121に沿って形成されるとともに、第2成型部121に対向する内壁面が同第2成型部121に形状に対応する形状、すなわち、第2成型部121の肉厚を第2外周部120aの肉厚より薄い肉厚に維持する形状に形成されている。そして、この第2空洞部122には、最深部の図示水平部分に連通した状態で排水穴123が形成されている。
 排水穴123は、第2空洞部122内に溜まった冷却水を第2金型120の外部に排水するための管状に延びる穴であり、一方の端部が第2空洞部122に連通するとともに、他方の端部が第2金型120の図示左側側面部に開口して形成されている。この排水穴123は、第2金型120の図示左側側面部に開口する他方の端部が図示しない排水管に接続されている。
 また、第1金型110および第2金型120における第1外周部110aおよび第2外周部120aには、断熱絶縁体113,124がそれぞれ設けられている。断熱絶縁体113,124は、第1金型110と第2金型120とが閉じた成型領域の外部に対する断熱、気密保持および第1金型110と第2金型120とを電気的に絶縁するための部材である。この断熱絶縁体113,124は、図3に示すように、第1金型110および第2金型120における第1外周部110aおよび第2外周部120a上において、第1成型部111および第2成型部121の周囲を囲んだ環状でかつ互いに対向する位置にそれそれぞれ固定的に設けられている。本実施形態においては、断熱絶縁体113,124は、ガラス繊維をリン酸塩をバインダーとして断面形状凹状の帯状に固めた基部113a,124aと、同基部113a,124aにおける凹状に凹んだ部分内に埋め込んだシリコンゴムからなるシール部113b,124bとで構成されている。したがって、断熱絶縁体113,124は、互いのシール部113bとシール部124bとが互いに押し付け合って弾性形変形して密着することにより前記断熱、気密および絶縁状態を形成する。なお、断熱絶縁体113,124は、1つの断熱絶縁体113(または断熱絶縁体124)を第1金型110および第2金型120のどちらか一方にのみ設けるようにすることもできる。
 第1金型110の図示下面には、第1空洞部112を覆う状態で第1受け板114が設けられている。第1受け板114は、第2金型120からの押圧力を受ける第1金型110を背面から支持するための鋼製の板部材であり、第1金型110における図示下面に図示しないボルトを介して固定的に取り付けられている。そして、この場合、第1受け板114は、第1金型110に形成された第1空洞部112を液密的に塞いだ状態で取り付けられる。この第1受け板114の内部には、給水穴115および排水穴117がそれぞれ形成されている。
 給水穴115は、第1金型110の第1空洞部112の一部を形成する第1成型部111に冷却水を供給するために管状に延びた穴であり、一方の端部が第1受け板114の図示右側側面部に開口するとともに、他方の端部が第1空洞部112の一部を形成する第1成型部111の図示右側端部付近まで延びて形成されている。この給水穴115は、第1成型部111の図示奥行方向における形成方向に沿って複数の給水穴115が並んで形成されている。これら複数の給水穴115は、第1受け板114の図示右側側面部に開口する一方の端部が給水穴115に冷却水を供給する図示しない給水配管の一方の端部に接続されている。
 そして、これらの各給水穴115には、第1空洞部112を形成する第1成型部111に向って噴水パイプ116が第1成型部111の図示左右方向における形成方向に沿って複数(本実施形態においては2つ)設けられている。噴水パイプ116は、給水穴115から供給される冷却水を第1成型部111の内側壁面に向って噴射するための鋼製のパイプ部材であり、第1空洞部112を形成する第1成型部111の壁面近傍まで延びて形成されている。
 一方、排水穴117は、第1金型110の第1空洞部112内に溜まった冷却水を第1金型110の外部に排水するための管状に延びる穴であり、一方の端部が第1空洞部112を塞ぐ第1受け板114の上面に開口するとともに、他方の端部が第1受け板114の図示左側側面部に開口して形成されている。この排水穴117は、第1受け板114の図示左側側面部に開口する他方の端部が図示しない排水管に接続されている。
 この第1受け板114が一体的に組み付けられた第1金型110は、断熱絶縁ベース118を介して第1取付板119に図示しないボルトを介して取り付けられている。断熱絶縁ベース118は、第1受け板114と第1取付板119との間で断熱および電気的な絶縁をするための板状部材である。本実施形態においては、断熱絶縁ベース118は、ガラス繊維をリン酸塩をバインダーとして固めたものを第1受け板114に対応する形状の板状体に形成して構成されている。第1取付板119は、第1金型110を成型装置100における図示しない固定盤に取り付けるための鋼製の板状体である。すなわち、第1金型110は、成型装置100に固定的に設けられた固定盤上に取り付けられた所謂下型(固定型)である。
 一方、第2金型120の図示上面には、第2空洞部122を覆う状態で第2受け板125が設けられている。第2受け板125は、第1金型110から反力を受ける第2金型120を背面から支持するための鋼製の板部材であり、第2金型120における図示上面に図示しないボルトを介して固定的に取り付けられている。そして、この場合、第2受け板125は、第2金型120に形成された第2空洞部122を液密的に塞いだ状態で取り付けられる。この第2受け板125の内部には、前記給水穴115と同様の給水穴126が形成されている。
 給水穴126は、第2金型120の第2空洞部122の一部を形成する第2成型部121に冷却水を供給するために管状に延びた穴であり、一方の端部が第2受け板125の図示右側側面部に開口するとともに、他方の端部が第2空洞部122の一部を形成する第1成型部121の図示右側端部付近まで延びて形成されている。この給水穴126は、第2成型部121の図示奥行方向における形成方向に沿って複数の給水穴126が並んで形成されている。これら複数の給水穴126は、第2受け板125の図示右側側面部に開口する一方の端部が給水穴126に冷却水を供給する図示しない前記給水配管の一方の端部に接続されている。
 そして、これらの各給水穴126には、第2空洞部122を形成する第2成型部121に向って噴水パイプ127が第2成型部121の図示左右方向における形成方向に沿って複数(本実施形態においては4つ)設けられている。噴水パイプ127は、給水穴126から供給される冷却水を第2成型部121の内側壁面に向って噴射するための鋼製のパイプ部材であり、第2空洞部122を形成する第2成型部121の壁面近傍まで延びて形成されている。
 この第2受け板125が一体的に組み付けられた第2金型120は、断熱絶縁ベース128を介して第2取付板129に図示しないボルトを介して取り付けられている。断熱絶縁ベース128は、前記断熱絶縁ベース118と同様に、第2受け板125と第2取付板129との間で断熱および電気的な絶縁をするための板状部材である。本実施形態においては、断熱絶縁ベース128は、ガラス繊維をリン酸塩をバインダーとして固めたものを第2受け板125に対応する形状の板状体に形成して構成されている。第2取付板129は、第2金型120を成型装置100における図示しない可動盤に取り付けるための鋼製の板状体である。すなわち、第2金型120は、成型装置100に図示上下方向に沿って可動的に設けられた可動盤上に取り付けられた所謂上型(可動型)である。
 また、第1受け板114および第2受け板125の各給水穴115,126に冷却水を供給する吸水配管(図示せず)には、他方の端部が水道管に接続されるとともに、給水穴115,126と水道管との各間の部分に給水弁131が設けられている。給水弁131は、後述する制御装置140に作動が制御されて水道管と給水穴115,126とを連通状態または非連通状態(遮断)にする。すなわち、給水弁131は、水道管から供給される冷却水(水道水)を給水穴115,126へ流通または遮断する。
 また、第1金型110および第2金型120には、第1成型部111および第2成型部121を介して互いに対向する側面部に入出力電極132,133および連結電極134,135が設けられている。入出力電極132,133は、第1金型110と第2金型120とに電流を流すための銅製の電極である。この入出力電極132,133は、第1金型110および第2金型120の図示左側側面部における図示奥行方向に沿って延びる板状に形成されている。
 一方、連結電極134,135は、第1金型110と第2金型120とを電気的に接続または切断するための銅製の電極である。これらの連結電極134,135のうち、連結電極134は、第1金型110の図示左側側面部における図示奥行方向に沿って延びる板状に形成されている。この連結電極134には、図示上下方向に貫通する円筒形の貫通孔134aが図示奥行方向の形成方向に沿って複数形成されている。一方、連結電極135は、第2金型120の図示左側側面部における図示奥行方向に沿って延びる板状に形成されている。この連結電極135には、前記連結電極134に形成された貫通孔134aに嵌合する軸状のピンジャック135aが貫通孔134aに対応する位置および形状で設けられている。このピンジャック135aの表面には銀メッキが施されている。
 入出力電極132,133には、給電装置136が接続されている。給電装置136は、第1金型110と第2金型120とに流す電流を供給するための電源装置である。この給電装置136は、制御装置140に制御されて入出力電極132,133を介して第1金型110および第2金型120に対して交流電流を供給する。本実施形態においては、給電装置136は、電圧が約40V、電流が約5000A、周波数が50kHzの交流電流を入出力電極132,133に出力可能に構成されている。なお。この給電装置136が出力する交流電流は、被成型材料WKの成型加工条件に応じて適宜設定されるものであることは当然である。
 成型装置100は、制御装置140を備えている。制御装置140は、CPU、ROM、RAMなどからなるマイクロコンピュータによって構成されており、操作パネル141を介した被施術者からの指示に従って、ROMなどの記憶装置に予め記憶された制御プログラムを実行することにより、成型装置100の各種作動を制御する。具体的には、この制御装置140は、主として、給水弁131、給電装置136、金型駆動装置151およびバキューム装置152の各作動をそれぞれ制御する。
 この場合、操作パネル141は、成型装置100の作動を制御する制御装置140に指示を与えるとともに、成型装置100(制御装置140)からの情報を表示するためのユーザインターフェースである。また、金型駆動装置151は、前記第2金型120を保持する可動盤(図示せず)を第1金型110に対して近接または離隔させる方向に変位させるための電動式の駆動装置である。なお、金型駆動装置151は、電動式以外、例えば、油圧式などであっても良いことは当然である。また、バキューム装置152は、第1金型110と第2金型120とを閉じた際に、第1金型110と第2金型120との間の成型領域から空気を吸引する機械装置である。また、この成型装置100には、成型した製品PRを第1金型110から取り出すためのエジェクタピン(図示せず)など備えているが、これらに関しては本発明に直接関わらないため、その説明は省略する。
(成型装置100の作動)
 次に、このように構成した成型装置100の作動について説明する。まず、作業者は、図4に示すように、製品PRの原料となる被成型材料WKを用意する。本実施形態においては、2枚の熱可塑性樹脂製シート(例えば、ポリエチレン樹脂製シート)と1枚の繊維シート(例えば、ガラス繊維シート、炭素繊維シートまたは金属繊維シートなど)とをそれぞれ用意する。次に、作業者は、成型装置100を起動させる。具体的には、作業者は、成型装置100の操作パネル141を操作して成型装置100の電源を入れる。これにより、成型装置100の制御装置140は、図示しない所定の制御プログラムを実行することにより作業者からの指令の入力を待つ待機状態となる。
 次に、作業者は、第1金型110および第2金型120をそれぞれ予熱する。具体的には、作業者は、操作パネル141を操作することにより、制御装置140に対して金型の型締めおよび通電開始を指示する。この指示に応答して制御装置140は、金型駆動装置151の作動を制御して第2金型120を第1金型110側(図示下方)に変位させることにより第2金型120を第1金型110に密着させた後、給電装置136の作動を制御して第1金型110および第2金型120に対して通電を開始する。この場合、第1金型110と第2金型120とは、断熱絶縁体113,124を介して電気的に絶縁された状態で密着するとともに、連結電極135のピンジャック135aが連結電極134の貫通孔134aに嵌合することにより電気的に接続された状態となる。
 そして、第1金型110および第2金型120は、給電装置136による給電により発熱を開始する。具体的には、給電装置136から出力された電流は、入出力電極132(または入出力電極133)を介して第1金型110(または第2金型120)内に供給されるとともに連結電極134(または連結電極135)および連結電極135(または連結電極134)を介して第2金型120(または第1金型110)内を流通した後、入出力電極133(または入出力電極132)を介して給電装置136に戻る。すなわち、連結電極134,135が、本発明に係る電気接続部に相当し、これらの入出力電極132,133、連結電極134,135および給電装置136が、本発明に係る金型通電手段に相当する。
 この場合、第1金型110および第2金型120の中央部は第1空洞部112および第2空洞部122によって空洞に形成されているため、第1金型110および第2金型120に流された電流は第1成型部111および第2成型部121に流れる。そして、これらの第1成型部111および第2成型部121は、第1外周部110aおよび第2外周部120aの肉厚より薄く形成、すなわち、断面積が小さく形成されているため、加熱の対象となる部分の体積が小さい。また、第1金型110および第2金型120に交流電流(高周波電流)を流した際の表皮効果により、第1成型部111および第2成型部121における表面部に電流が集中する。これらにより、第1金型110および第2金型120における第1成型部111および第2成型部121は、早期かつ効率的に加熱される。また、この場合、エッジ効果により、第1金型110および第2金型120における凸部に電流が偏って流れるため、第1成型部111および第2成型部121における凸部(図1において破線円で示した部分)が他の部分よりも加熱される。
 なお、この第1金型110および第2金型120の予備加熱工程においては、第1金型110と第2金型120とを断熱絶縁体113,124を介して電気的に絶縁された状態で密着した。しかし、この予備加熱工程は、第1金型110および第2金型120に通電可能であれば良いため、必ずしも第1金型110と第2金型120とを密着させる必要はない。すなわち、連結電極134と連結電極135とが通電可能な程度に接触した状態であれば、第1金型110と第2金型120とが互いに接触し合わない離隔した状態であってもよい。
 次に、作業者は、第1金型110および第2金型120を所定時間の通電により加熱した後、金型の型開きを行って被成型材料WKをセットする。具体的には、作業者は、第1成型部111および第2成型部121の温度が概ね200℃に達する時間の経過後、操作パネル141を操作することにより、制御装置140に対して金型の型開きおよび通電停止を指示する。なお、第1金型110および第2金型120に通電する時間は、被成型材料WKの種類、大きさおよび通電する電力量に応じて適宜決定されることは当然である。この指示に応答して制御装置140は、金型駆動装置151の作動を制御して第2金型120を第1金型110から離隔する方向(図示上方)に変位させることにより第2金型120を第1金型110から離隔させた後、給電装置136の作動を制御して第1金型110および第2金型120に対する通電を停止する。
 そして、作業者は、図4に示すように、型開きされた第1金型110における第1成型部上111上に被成型材料WKをセットする。本実施形態においては、繊維シートの両側面に熱可塑性樹脂シートを配置した被成型材料WKを第1金型110における第1成型部上111上に配置する。
 次に、作業者は、操作パネル141を操作することにより、制御装置140に対して金型の型締めを指示するとともに金型内のエア抜き処理を指示する。この指示に応答して制御装置140は、前記と同様にして、金型駆動装置151の作動を制御して第2金型120を第1金型110側(図示下方)に変位させることにより第2金型120を第1金型110に密着させる。この場合、第2金型120における第2成型部121は、被成型材料WKを圧縮変形させながら第1金型110側に変位する。そして、この場合、第1成型部111および第2成型部121における前記凸部(図1において破線円)は、前記エッジ効果により他の部分より高温となっているため、被成型素材WKを効果的に変形させることができる。
 また、制御装置140は、第2金型120を第1金型110に密着させた後、バキューム装置152の作動を制御して型締めされた第1金型110と第2金型120との間の成型領域内の空気の吸引を開始する。この場合、被成型材料WKが配置された第1金型110と第2金型120との間の成型領域は、第1成型部111および第2成型部121の周囲に配置された断熱絶縁体113,124によって気密性が確保されているため、精度良くエア抜きが行なわれる。
 次に、作業者は、操作パネル141を操作することにより、制御装置140に対して被成型材料WKの成型加工を指示する。この指示に応答して制御装置140は、再度、給電装置136の作動を制御して第1金型110および第2金型120に対して通電を開始する。これにより、第1金型110および第2金型120における第1成型部111および第2成型部121は、前記と同様にして交流電流が流れることによりそれぞれ加熱される。この場合、制御装置140は、給電装置136の作動を制御して第1成型部111および第2成型部121の温度を被成型材料WKの熱可塑性樹脂シートが溶融する温度まで加熱するとともに同温度状態を所定時間維持する。本実施形態においては、制御装置140は、第1成型部111および第2成型部121の温度を概ね250℃~300℃の温度に加熱して同温度に維持する。これにより、第1成型部111と第2成型部121との間に配置されている被成型材料WKの2つの熱可塑性樹脂シートが溶融して繊維シート内にそれぞれ含浸する。
 従来、FRP(繊維強化プラスチック)は、熱硬化性樹脂と繊維シートとで成型されることが一般的であった。これは、熱硬化性樹脂が熱可塑性樹脂に比べて成型加工工程における流動性を確保し易いことに起因している。しかし、本発明に係る成型装置100によれば、被成型材料WKの成型加工工程において第1金型110および第2金型120に通電して被成型材料WKを加熱できるため、熱可塑性樹脂の流動性を確保し易く熱可塑性樹脂によるFRPを容易かつ短時間(短サイクルタイム)で製造することができる。
 次に、作業者は、被成型材料WKにおける熱可塑性樹脂シートが繊維シートに含浸するに必要な時間の経過後、操作パネル141を操作することにより制御装置140に対して冷却処理を指示する。この指示に応答して、制御装置140は、給電装置136の作動を制御して第1金型110および第2金型120に対する通電を停止するとともに、給水弁131の作動を制御することにより同給水弁131を開いて給水穴115,126内に冷却水を導入する。これにより、給水穴115,126に設けられた噴水パイプ116,127から冷却水が第1成型部111および第2成型部121に向けて噴射されて同第1成型部111および第2成型部121が冷却される(図1において破線矢印参照)。
 この場合、噴射パイプ116,127は、第1空洞部112および第2空洞部122をそれぞれ形成する第1成型部111の壁面および第2成型部121の壁面の各近傍までそれぞれ延びて形成されているため、第1成型部111および第2成型部121を効果的に冷却することができる。すなわち、給水穴115,126、噴水パイプ116,127および給水弁131が、本発明に係る冷却流体供給手段に相当する。
 これにより、第1成型部112と第2成型部122との間に配置されて成型された被成型素材WKが急速に冷却されて固化する。また、第1成型部111および第2成型部121を冷却した冷却水は、第1受け板114に形成された排水穴117および第2金型120に形成された排水穴123を介して第1金型110および第2金型120の外部に排出される(図1において破線矢印参照)。第1成型部112と第2成型部122との間に配置された被成型素材WKが固化した場合には、作業者は、固化した被成型素材WK、すなわち、製品PRを取り出す。具体的には、作業者は、操作パネル141を操作することにより、制御装置140に対して冷却処理の中断および金型の型開き指示する。
 この指示に応答して、制御装置140は、給水弁131の作動を制御することにより同給水弁131を閉じて給水穴115,126内への冷却水の供給を中断させるとともに、金型駆動装置151の作動を制御して第2金型120を第1金型110から離隔する方向(図示上方)に変位させることにより第2金型120を第1金型110から離隔させる。そして、作業者は、操作パネル141を操作することにより、制御装置140に対して第1金型110に設けられた図示しないエジェクタピンの駆動を指示する。この指示に応答して、制御装置140は、第1金型110に設けられたエジェクタピンが駆動する。これにより、第1成型部111に密着した製品PRがエジェクタピンによって押し出されるため、作業者は同押し出された製品PRを第1金型110から取り除くことができる。
 次いで、作業者は、製品PRの製造を続けて行なう場合には、再度、第1金型110および第2金型120の予熱工程から作業を開始する。一方、製品PRの製造を終了する場合には、作業者は、操作パネル141を操作して成型装置100の電源を切る。これにより、成型装置100による製品PRの製造作業が終了する。
 上記作動説明からも理解できるように、上記実施形態によれば、成型装置100は、製品PRの表面を形成するための第1成型部111および第2成型部121の第1金型110および第2金型120に対して通電する給電装置136を備えている。そして、給電装置136によって通電される第1成型部111および第2成型部121の肉厚は、同第1成型部111および第2成型部121の周囲に形成された第1外周部110aおよび第2外周部120aの肉厚より薄肉に形成されている。すなわち、加熱対象部分である第1成型部111および第2成型部121の断面積が小さくなっている。このため、第1金型110および第2金型120に交流電流を通電した場合においては、第1成型部111および第2成型部121が第1外周部110aおよび第2外周部120aと一様な肉厚で形成されている場合に比べて、少ない電力量で早期に加熱することができる。また、この場合、第1成型部111および第2成型部121は、従来技術における導電層や絶縁層が不要なため金型の製作およびメンテナンス工数が低減される。すなわち、本発明に係る成型装置100においては、金型における成型部の耐久性を確保しつつ簡単な構成で加熱することができる。
 さらに、本発明の実施にあたっては、上記実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の目的を逸脱しない限りにおいて種々の変更が可能である。なお、下記各変形例を示す図5~7においては、上記実施形態における成型装置100の構成部分に対応する部分に同じ符号を付して、これらの説明は適宜省略する。
 例えば、上記実施形態においては、第1金型110および第2金型120に対して通電することにより第1成型部111および第2成型部121を加熱するように構成した。しかし、第1金型110および第2金型120に対する通電は、第1金型110および第2金型120のうちの少なくとも一方でもよい。例えば、第1金型110にのみ通電した場合、第2金型120は通電により熱せられた第1金型110に近接配置または絶縁体を介した密着配置により間接的に熱することができる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、第1金型110および第2金型120によって被成型材料WKを成型加工する前に第1金型110および第2金型120を予備加熱した。しかし、被成型材料WKを成型加工する際に第1金型110および第2金型120を加熱することを前提とすれば、必ずしも第1金型110および第2金型120の予備加熱は必要ではない。すなわち、第1金型110および第2金型120に通電しながら被成型材料WKを圧縮成型加工する場合には、第1金型110および第2金型120の予備加熱を省略することもできる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、第1金型110および第2金型120における第1成型部111および第2成型部121の各裏面側に第1空洞部112および第2空洞部122を形成した。これにより、第1金型110および第2金型120に通電した際、供給した電気が第1金型110および第2金型120内における中央部分を流れることを防止して第1成型部111および第2成型部121に通電させることができる。すなわち、第1金型110および第2金型120内を最短経路で流れようとする電流を第1成型部111および第2成型部121に導くことができ、第1金型110および第2金型120内を効率的に加熱することができる。また、第1金型110および第2金型120に形成された第1空洞部112および第2空洞部122により成型装置100の軽量化を図ることができる。また、第1空洞部112および第2空洞部122内に第1成型部111および第2成型部121を冷却するための冷却流体供給手段などを配置することもできる。しかし、第1空洞部112および第2空洞部121は、必ずしも必要ではなくこれらを省略して第1金型および第2金型を形成した場合であっても第1成型部111および第2成型部121に電気を流すことはできる。また、この場合、第1受け板114および第2受け板125に第1空洞部112および第2空洞部121に相当する形状を形成することもできる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、給水穴115,126、噴水パイプ116,127および給水弁131からなる冷却流体供給手段により、第1成型部111および第2成型部121を水によって冷却するように構成した。しかし、冷却流体供給手段は、水流を直接第1成型部111および第2成型部121に供給する他に、シャワー状または霧状にして供給するようにしても良いし、水以外の冷却媒体、例えば、油や空気などの各種液体または気体からなる流動体を用いて第1成型部111および第2成型部121を冷却するように構成することもできる。また、噴水パイプ116,127においても、吐出口を絞って冷却水をより勢い良く噴射させるようにしてもよい。また、第1成型部111および第2成型部121を急冷する必要がない場合には、冷却流体供給手段を省略することもできる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、第1成型部111および第2成型部121は、肉厚が約20mmに形成されている。しかし、第1成型部111および第2成型部121の肉厚は、第1外周部110aおよび第2外周部120aの肉厚未満の厚さの範囲において被成型材料WKや製品PRの種類、形状、大きさ、加工条件によって適宜決定されるものである。そして、この場合、例えば、図5に示すように、第1空洞部112および第2空洞部122内において、第1成型部111および第2成型部121に対して補強のためのリブ161を設けることができる。これにより、第1成型部111および第2成型部121の剛性を確保しつつ薄肉化を図ることができる。なお、図5においては、第1成型部111および第2成型部121に各一つずつのリブ161を設けたが、リブ161の形成数や形状は第1成型部111および第2成型部121を支持可能な範囲で適宜決定されるものである。
 また、上記実施形態においては、第1金型110および第2金型120における第1空洞部112および第2空洞部122内に第1成型部111および第2成型部121を冷却するための冷却流体供給手段を配置した。しかし、第1空洞部112および第2空洞部122内には、冷却流体供給手段に代えて、または加えて、第1成型部111および第2成型部121の温度を測定するための温度センサを設けることもできる。この場合、温度センサによって検出された温度は、操作パネル141に表示させるようにしても良いし、制御装置140による第1金型110および第2金型120の加熱制御および冷却制御に用いることもできる。これによれば、作業者および制御装置140は、第1成型部111および第2成型部121の温度状況を把握することができるため、第1成型部111および第2成型部121の温度を適切に制御することができ、より効率的かつ高精度に成型物を成型することができる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、第1金型110および第2金型120における第1外周部110aおよび第2外周部120aに断熱絶縁体113,124をそれぞれ配置した。これらの断熱絶縁体113,124は、第1金型110と第2金型120とが閉じた成型領域の外部に対する断熱、気密保持および第1金型110と第2金型120とを電気的に絶縁するためのものである。しかし、断熱絶縁体113,124は、断熱、気密保持および電気的絶縁のうちの少なくとも1つの機能を発揮させる目的で設けるようにしてもよい。例えば、第1金型110と第2金型120とを閉じた状態で通電、換言すれば、被成型材料WKの成型加工中に通電する必要がない場合には、断熱絶縁体113,124は電気的な絶縁機能を有する必要はない。また、断熱絶縁体113,124は、樹脂以外の素材、例えば、セラミックやコンクリートなどで構成することもできる。なお、断熱絶縁ベース118,128についても同様である。
 また、上記実施形態においては、連結電極134,135は、連結電極134に形成した貫通孔134aに連結電極135から突出する棒状のピンジャック135aが嵌合する構成とした。これにより、第1金型110と第2金型120とを密着させることなく第1金型110と第2金型120とに通電させることができる。しかし、連結電極134,135は、第1金型110と第2金型120とに通電させることができる構成であれば、上記実施形態に限定されるものではない。例えば、連結電極134を第2金型120側に伸縮するパンタグラフ機構で構成するとともに、連結電極135を前記パンタグラフ機構における頂部に接触する電極で構成することができる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、給電装置136は、第1金型110および第2金型120に対して交流電流を供給するように構成した。しかし、給電装置136は、第1金型110および第2金型120に対して直流電流を供給するように構成しても良い。これによれば、第1成型部111および第2成型部121が第1外周部110aおよび第2外周部120aの肉厚より薄く形成、すなわち、断面積が小さく形成されているため、電気抵抗が第1外周部110aおよび第2外周部120aより大きいとともに加熱の対象となる体積が小さい。これにより、第1成型部111および第2成型部121は、早期かつ効率的に加熱される。なお、給電装置136が出力する電気量は、被成型材料の種類、大きさまたは成型精度に応じて適宜設定されるものであり、上記実施形態に限定されるものではない。
 また、上記実施形態においては、1つの給電装置136と連結電極134,135によって第1金型110と第2金型120とに電気を流すように構成した。しかし、1つの給電装置136から第1金型110および第2金型120にそれぞれ個別に給電するように構成しても良いし、第1金型110および第2金型120にそれぞれ給電するための給電装置136をそれぞれ個別に用意することもできる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、被成型材料WKとしてポリエチレン樹脂を用いた。しかし、被成型材料WKは、製品PRの仕様に応じて適宜選定されるものであり、他の熱可塑性樹脂であっても良いことは当然である。例えば、ポリプロピレン樹脂、ポリスチレン樹脂、ポリ塩化ビニル樹脂、ポリメタクリル酸メチル樹脂、アクリロニトリル・ブタジェン・スチレン共重体(所謂ABS樹脂)、ポリエチレンテレフタレート樹脂、ポリカーボネート樹脂、ポリアセタール樹脂、ポリブチレンテフタレート樹脂、ポリアミド樹脂、ポリエーテルイミド樹脂、ポリエーテルサルフォン樹脂、ポリフェニレンサルファイド樹脂、ポリスルフォン樹脂またはポリエーテルエーテルケトン樹脂などを被成型材料WKとして用いることができる。
 また、上記実施形態においては、被成型材料WKを熱可塑性樹脂シートと繊維シートとで構成した。しかし、被成型材料WKは、製品PRの仕様に応じて適宜選定されるものである。したがって、被成型材料WKは、熱可塑性樹脂シートのみで構成されていても良いし、熱可塑性樹脂シートより厚さが厚い熱可塑性樹脂板で構成されていてもよい。また、さらには、被成型材料WKは、熱可塑性樹脂を熱した流動体であってもよい。すなわち、本発明における成型装置100は、射出成型機としても実施できるものである。
 具体的には、例えば、図6に示すように、射出成型機としての成型装置100は、第1金型110の中央部に被成型材料WKの流路を構成するスプル162が形成されている。このような射出成型機で構成された成型装置100によれば、被成型材料WKの注入の前に第1金型110および第2金型120を予熱しておくことにより、射出成型時の成型不良である所謂ウエルド不良や所謂ヒケ不良を効果的に防止できるとともに、製品PRをより薄肉化することができる。また、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン樹脂のような高融点材料を精度良く射出成型加工することもできる。なお、図6に示した射出成型機としての成型装置100は、第1金型110が図示しない可動盤上に取り付けられた可動型で構成されるとともに、第2金型120が図示しない固定盤上に取り付けられた固定型で構成されており、この固定された第2金型120に対して第1金型110が近接または離隔する方向に変位する。
 また、このような射出成型機で構成された成型装置100においては、被成型材料WKとして熱可塑性樹脂の他に、熱硬化性樹脂、例えば、フェノール樹脂、メラミン樹脂、ユリア樹脂、ポリウレタン樹脂、エポキシ樹脂または不飽和ポリエステル樹脂を用いることもできる。また、これらの熱可塑性樹脂や熱硬化性樹脂に炭素繊維、ガラス繊維、金属繊維、金属粉末または各種鉱物粉末を混ぜ合わせたものを用いて射出成型することができる。
 なお、射出成型機で構成された成型装置100においては、例えば、以下の工程1~6によって製品PRを成型加工することができる。すなわち、
工程1:第1金型110と第2金型120とを密着させる型締め工程
工程2:第1金型110および第2金型120に通電して加熱する予備加熱工程
工程3:溶融樹脂をスプル162を介して金型内に注入する注入工程(この場合、通電しても非通電であってもともに可)
工程4:第1金型110および第2金型120に冷却水を供給して冷却する冷却工程
工程5:第1金型110と第2金型120とを離隔させる型開き工程
工程6:エジェクタピンを駆動して製品PRを第1金型110から取り出す取出し工程
 また、被成型材料WKとして、樹脂以外の材料、例えば、各種鋼材、チタン材、アルミニウム材またはマグネシウム材などの各種金属材料を用いることもできる。すなわち、本発明における成型装置100は、金属材料による射出成型機やプレス機としても実施できるものである。この場合、金属材料のプレス加工においては、従来、被成型材料WKを塑性変形させ易くするために被成型材料WKをプレス機に配置する前に予め加熱処理することが一般的に行われていた。しかし、本発明における成型装置100をプレス機に採用した場合においては、第1金型110および第2金型120に配置した被成型材料WKを加熱することができるため、被成型材料WKをプレス機に配置する前に予め加熱する必要がなく、加工工程における作業負担を軽減することができるとともに、塑性変形し難い鋼材、具体的には、高抗張力鋼のプレス成型加工を精度良く効率的に行なうことができる。
 また、チタン材、アルミニウム材またはマグネシウム材などの比較的塑性変形し易い材料をプレス加工する場合においては、例えば、図7に示すように、第1金型110と第2金型120との間に、成型加工時における被成型材料WKを押えてクランプするためのダイフェース163を設けるとよい。ダイフェース163は、第1金型110を貫通して成型装置100における図示しない支持部に図示上下方向に摺動自在に支持された鋼板部材である。このダイフェース163は、第2金型120の第1金型110側への変位に従って同第2金型120の外周部120aに押されて第1金型110上の被成型材料WKをクランプする。これにより、チタン材、アルミニウム材またはマグネシウム材などの比較的塑性変形し易い材料にシワを生じさせることなく塑性変位させることができる。
 なお、プレス機で構成された成型装置100においては、例えば、以下の工程1~6によって製品PRを成型加工することができる。すなわち、
工程1:第1金型110および第2金型120に通電して加熱する予備加熱工程
工程2:第1金型110と第2金型120とを離隔させた型開き状態で被成型材料WKをセットする材料配置工程
工程3:第1金型110と第2金型120とを密着させた型締め状態で加圧する加圧工程(非通電)

工程5:第1金型110と第2金型120とを離隔させる型開き工程
工程6:エジェクタピンを駆動して製品PRを第1金型110から取り出す取出し工程

Claims (9)

  1.  成型対象となる製品の表面の一部に対応する3次元形状に形成された第1成型部を有する第1金型と、
     前記製品の表面の他の一部に対応する3次元形状に形成された第2成型部を有して前記第1金型に対向配置される第2金型とを備え、
     前記第1成型部と前記第2成型部との間に被成型材料を配置して前記製品を成型する成型装置において、
     前記第1金型および前記第2金型のうちの少なくとも一方に電気を流すための金型通電手段を備え、
     前記第1金型および/または前記第2金型は、
     前記通電される前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部の肉厚が同第1成型部および/または第2成型部の周囲に形成されて同第1成型部および/または同第2成型部を支持する外周部の肉厚より薄肉に形成されていることを特徴とする成型装置。
  2.  請求項1に記載した成型装置において、
     前記第1金型および/または前記第2金型は、
     前記薄肉に形成された前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部の裏側に前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部に沿って空洞部が形成されていることを特徴とする成型装置。
  3.  請求項2に記載した成型装置において、さらに、
     前記空洞部に、前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部に対して冷却用流体を供給する冷却流体供給手段を設けたことを特徴とする成型装置。
  4.  請求項2または請求項3に記載した成型装置において、さらに、
     前記空洞部に、前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部を支えるリブを設けたことを特徴とする成型装置。
  5.  請求項2ないし請求項4のうちのいずれか1つに記載した成型装置において、さらに、
     前記空洞部に、前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部の温度を測定するための温度測定センサを設けたことを特徴とする成型装置。
  6.  請求項1ないし請求項5のうちのいずれか1つに記載した成型装置において、
     前記金型通電手段は、
     前記第1金型と前記第2金型とを電気的に接続および切断する電気接続部を備えることを特徴とする成型装置。
  7.  請求項1ないし請求項6のうちのいずれか1つに記載した成型装置において、
     前記第1金型と前記第2金型との間における前記外周部に絶縁体を設けたことを特徴とする成型装置。
  8.  成型対象となる製品の表面の一部に対応する3次元形状に形成された第1成型部を有する第1金型と、
     前記製品の表面の他の一部に対応する3次元形状に形成された第2成型部を有して前記第1金型に対向配置される第2金型とを備え、
     前記第1成型部と前記第2成型部との間に被成型材料を配置して前記製品を成型する成型方法において、
     前記第1成型部および前記第2成型部のうちの少なくとも一方の肉厚を同第1成型部および/または第2成型部の周囲に形成されて同第1成型部および/または同第2成型部を支持する外周部の肉厚より薄肉に形成しておき、
     前記薄肉に形成した前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部が形成された前記第1金型および/または前記第2金型に電気を流すことにより前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部を加熱し、
     前記加熱された前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部によって前記被成型素材を前記製品に成型することを特徴とする成型方法。
  9.  請求項8に記載した成型方法において、
     前記第1金型および/または前記第2金型における前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部の裏側に、前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部に沿って空洞部を形成しておくとともに、同空洞部に対向して前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部に対して冷却用流体を供給する冷却流体供給手段を設けておき、
     前記被成型材料の成型後に、前記冷却流体供給手段から前記冷却用流体を前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部に対して供給して前記第1成型部および/または前記第2成型部を冷却することを特徴とする成型方法。
