  • the present invention relates to a temperature measuring device for measuring the temperature of the surface of a slab in a secondary cooling zone of a continuous casting machine.
  • a continuous casting machine that manufactures a slab has a mold and a secondary cooling zone that is disposed downstream of the mold and cools the slab drawn from the mold while being conveyed in the drawing direction (casting direction). .

  • the roll provided in the secondary cooling zone may have a plurality of rolls integrated with a roll segment or may not use a roll segment. In the secondary cooling zone described above, it is important to cool the slab to solidify, and it is also important to prevent quality defects such as cracking of the slab due to overcooling. Therefore, it is important to measure the temperature of the slab surface.
  • the temperature measurement on the surface of the slab is not limited to a single temperature measurement, and recently, a steady temperature measurement has been started as a quality control index. • Patent Document 2 describes a method of suppressing the influence of water vapor or the like when measuring the surface temperature of a slab by enclosing a measurement portion with a hood and air purging the inside of the hood.
  • Cited Document 1 the temperature measurement of the slab is performed in a place where water vapor is adversely affected unless spraying of the secondary cooling water is interrupted. • a thermometer is installed at an upper position on one side in the width direction of the slab, and the temperature measurement of the slab surface is performed obliquely above the slab (a position different from the upper part of the slab surface). Therefore, it becomes difficult to distinguish the edge portion of the slab located on the side opposite to the thermometer installation position and the surrounding environment. Therefore, the width of the slab cannot be accurately determined, and the position of the edge portion of the slab cannot be specified. Therefore, it becomes difficult to measure the temperature of the edge portion, and accurate temperature measurement cannot be performed.
  • thermometer In the method described in Patent Document 2, it is necessary to install the hood at a position close to the slab. Therefore, the thermometer needs to be structurally integrated with the roll segment. Therefore, if the thermometer fails during operation of the continuous casting machine, the thermometer cannot be removed from the roll segment, and the thermometer cannot be repaired. Moreover, it is necessary to install in the roll segment a device that performs an air purge toward the hood or slab. For this reason, for example, when the roll segment is replaced, it is necessary to remove and attach each time, and a production loss of the slab is generated due to the extension of the replacement time. In addition, if the hood installed at the part where the slab temperature is measured falls from the fixed part for some reason, the hood and the slab may come into contact with each other, causing oysters on the slab. .
