Abstract

 簡易で低コストな構成によって乗員の荷重の検出精度を向上させる荷重検知装置を提供するため、車両シート用パッド部材の着座側表面に当接して該パッド部材への荷重を検出する少なくとも3個の検知部と、検知部を連結する連結部を備えたフィルム状の荷重検知装置であって、少なくとも3個の検知部によって囲繞されるセンシング領域S内で連結部に連接され、センシング領域内で下方に屈曲してシート用パッド部材の着座面から下方に延在し、下端に検知部により検出された荷重信号を導出する導出部を有したテール部を備えた。

Description

荷重検知装置
 本発明は、車両のシートに設置して乗員の着座状態を検知する荷重検知装置に関する。
 従来、自動車に装備されたシートベルトやエアバッグ等の各種安全装置の性能を向上させるため、車両シートに乗員が着座している状態を検知してこれらの安全装置をコントロールする技術がある。そして、このような乗員の着座状態を検知するのに適する荷重検知装置として、薄くて可撓性があるフィルム状のメンブレンスイッチがある。
 例えば特許文献1に開示する従来技術によれば、メンブレンスイッチを構成する、荷重を検知する6個の感圧部11aが、乗員が着座したときに車両シートの着座面上で乗員の臀部と当接するよう、即ち、乗員の体重による荷重を好適に検出するよう配置されている。そして6個の感圧部11aによって囲繞されたセンシング範囲から接続部11cが前方に向って配設され、乗員の体重の影響をあまり受けない位置で配線12と接続されている。配線12は車両シートのパッドを下方に向って貫通する貫通孔に挿通される。そして配線12はパッドの裏面に配設され、車両側のコネクタと車両シートの下方で連結されて制御部に電気的に接続されている。

 このように構成された着座センサでは、接続部11cが乗員の体重を受けるセンシング範囲と乗員の体重の影響をあまり受けない配線12との間に配設される。このため、センシング範囲ではパッドが沈み込むが、配線12との接続位置ではパッドの沈み込みがあまり発生しないので、両者の間には段差が発生し、これにより、接続部11cは該段差の影響をうけて変形され、出力値の精度に影響が及ぼされる虞がある。
 本発明は上記課題に鑑みてなされたものであり、簡易で低コストな構成によって乗員の荷重の検出精度を向上させる荷重検知装置を提供することを目的とする。
 上記の課題を解決するため、請求項1に係る荷重検知装置の発明は、車両シート用パッド部材の着座側表面に当接して該パッド部材への荷重を検出する少なくとも3個の検知部と、前記検知部を連結する連結部と、を備えたフィルム状の荷重検知装置であって、前記少なくとも3個の検知部によって囲繞されるセンシング領域内で前記連結部に連接され、前記センシング領域内で下方に屈曲して前記シート用パッド部材の着座面から下方に延在し、下端に前記検知部により検出された荷重信号を導出する導出部を有したテール部を備えた。
 請求項2に係る荷重検知装置の発明は、請求項1において、前記センシング領域内において前記連結部に連接される前記テール部の根元部にR状の切り欠きが設けられている。
 請求項3に係る荷重検知装置の発明は、請求項1または請求項2において、前記フィルム状の荷重検知装置は4個の前記検知部を備え、前記連結部は前記4個の前記検知部のうち2個の検知部を連結する第1連結部および残り2個の検知部を連結する第2連結部と、前記第1連結部と前記第2連結部とを互いの中央部で連結する第3連結部とを備え、前記テール部は前記第3連結部の中央部に連接されている。
 請求項4に係る荷重検知装置の発明は、請求項3において、前記第1連結部および前記第2連結部と連結する前記第3連結部の根元部にR状の切り欠きが設けられている。
 請求項5に係る荷重検知装置の発明は、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項において、前記テール部は導出部で、ソケットを備えたハーネスに接続される。
 請求項6に係る荷重検知装置の発明は、請求項5において、前記ハーネスおよび前記ソケットは、前記車両シート用パッド部材の前記着座面の中央部を貫通して該パッド部材の裏面に貫通する貫通孔に挿通され、前記ハーネスが前記車両シート用パッド部材の前記裏面に配策され、前記ソケットが車両側コネクタと連結される。
 請求項7に係る荷重検知装置の発明は、請求項6において、前記貫通孔は、前記テール部が挿通されたときに前記テール部の屈曲角度が鈍角になるよう穿設されている。
 請求項8に係る荷重検知装置の発明は、請求項6または請求項7において、前記車両シート用パッド部材の前記着座面側における前記貫通孔の入口部は、前記貫通孔の対向する両側面が接近して塞ぐように形成されている。
 請求項9に係る荷重検知装置の発明は、請求項6乃至請求項8のいずれか1項において、前記車両シート用パッド部材の前記着座側表面の1部には、前記第3連結部を横切るように凹溝が陥没形成され、前記凹溝の底部に前記貫通孔が穿設され、前記第3連結部の少なくとも一部を曲成形成した曲成部が前記凹溝内に挿入され、前記テール部が屈曲して前記貫通孔に挿通される。
 上記のように構成した請求項1に係る発明によれば、荷重検知装置は、少なくとも3個の検知部によって囲繞されたセンシング領域内でテール部が屈曲され下方に配設される。このため、乗員がシートのパッド部材の着座面上のセンシング領域に着座したときには、センシング領域とセンシング領域内に位置するテール部とは同時に同量だけ沈み込む。これにより、テール部の着座面上に配置される部分にはパッド沈み込みによる段差が発生しないので、段差による変形が生じることがなく出力値の精度が低下する虞はない。また、センシング領域内でテール部が屈曲され下方に配設されるので、センサを小型化できコスト低減できる。
 請求項2に係る発明によれば、センシング領域内において、連結部に連接されるテール部の根元部にR状の切り欠きが設けられているので、テール部の屈曲位置を連結部に接近させても、テール部の根元部にしわやよれ等が発生することなく良好に屈曲でき、精度のよい出力を確保できる。
 請求項3に係る発明によれば、荷重検知装置は4個の検知部を備え、2個の検知部を連結する第1連結部と残り2個の検知部を連結する第2連結部とが、互いの中央部において第3連結部で連結されている。そして第3連結部の中央部にテール部が連接されている。このように検知部、各連結部およびテール部を配設することによってテール部の下方への屈曲位置をセンシング領域内に容易に配置することができる。
 請求項4に係る発明によれば、第1連結部および第2連結部を連結する第3連結部の根元部にはR状の切り欠きが設けられている。これにより、第3連結部の根元部近傍を屈曲させて車両シートに配設する場合が生じても、第3連結部の根元部にしわやよれ等が発生することが防止でき、良好に屈曲でき精度のよい出力を確保できる。
 請求項5に係る発明によれば、テール部は、導出部でソケットを備えたハーネスに接続される。これにより、ハーネスの引き出し方向を変化させることによってソケットの位置が自在に設定できるので、車両シートの様々な機種に対応できる。
 請求項6に係る発明によれば、ハーネスが車両シート用パッド部材の裏面に貫通孔を介して配策され、ソケットが車両側コネクタと連結される。これにより、ハーネスをパッド部材の後方まで回り込ませてからパッド部材の裏面に配策して車両側コネクタと連結する必要がないので、ハーネスを短くできコスト低減が図れる。
 請求項7に係る発明によれば、貫通孔は、テール部が挿通されたときにテール部の屈曲角度が鈍角になるよう穿設されている。これにより、テール部の屈曲部分では断線の虞が軽減されるとともに、屈曲角度を調整することによりテール部長さおよびハーネス長さが調整できて、様々なシートに対応できるので荷重検知装置の共通化を図ることができる。
 請求項8に係る発明によれば、車両シート用パッド部材の着座面側における貫通孔の入口部は貫通孔の対向する両側面が接近して塞ぐように形成されている。これにより、乗員が着座したときに臀部が貫通孔に当接しても異物感を感じる虞がない。
 請求項9に係る発明によれば、第3連結部の少なくとも一部を曲成形成した曲成部が凹溝内に挿入され、テール部が屈曲して凹溝底部に形成された貫通孔に挿通される。このようにすることで、凹溝が設けられ、凹溝を横切るよう構成された荷重検知装置においても、凹溝を有さない場合と同様の効果が得られる。

 以下、本発明に係る車両シート用の荷重検知装置(以後、着座センサと称す)を車両シート2に適用した第1の実施形態について図面を参照して説明する。なお、本明細書中において使用する「前後、左右、上下」の方向は車両のそれを基準として記述している。
 図1に示すように、車両シート2は、クッション部4、フィルム状の着座センサ8及びシートバック部6を備えている。クッション部4は、図2、図3に示すように、ウレタン等から構成されるパッド部材10とパッド部材10の着座側表面である上面を覆うように装着される布製(またはビニールレザーや皮革製等)の表皮部材12とを備えている。クッション部4のパッド部材10の上面には、図2に示すように、楕円状に配設される凹溝14が陥没形成されている。凹溝14は両側壁14a、14aと底面14bとを有している(図4参照)。
 パッド部材10内であって凹溝14の底面14bの下方には、図4に示すように、金属製の線材である係留部材16が凹溝14に沿って埋設されている。ただし、係留部材16は、凹溝14に沿って埋設されずとも、クッション部4の幅方向(左右方向)に埋設され、所定の位置で凹溝14と交差するようにしてもよい。
 そして、図2、図4に示すように表皮部材12において係止部材20が嵌装された部分を、凹溝14内における係留部材16が埋設されている所定の位置(本実施形態においては断面視IV-IVで示す4箇所)に挿入し、図4に示すように露出部52において係留部材16と係止部材20とを固定環18により連結して表皮部材12をパッド部材10の表面に沿って固定する。このように凹溝14は、表皮部材12を吊るために形成された溝(吊溝)である。なお、図2に示す係留部材16の固定位置は一例であるので、どのような位置で固定するかは任意である。
 図1乃至図3に示すように、着座センサ8(荷重検知装置)はメンブレンスイッチでありパッド部材10と、パッド部材10を覆う表皮部材12との間に配置されている。着座センサ8は、図5の平面図に示すように、パッド部材10の着座側表面に裏面が当接してパッド部材10への荷重を検知する4つの検知部である接点A~Dを有し、接点A~Dによって囲繞されたセンシング領域S(2点鎖線部)を形成している。また、着座センサ8は、4個の接点(検知部)のうち2個の接点A、Bを連結した第1連結部24および残りの2個の接点C、Dを連結した第2連結部26と、第1連結部24および第2連結部26の互いの中央部と両端で連結する第3連結部28を有している。また、着座センサ8は、第3連結部28の中央に連接されセンシング領域S内で下方に屈曲してパッド部材10の着座面から下方に延在し、下端に接点A~D(検知部)により検出された荷重信号を導出する導出部29を有したテール部30と、導出部29に連結され端部にソケット32を備えたハーネス31とを有する。なお、以降、着座センサ8においてパッド部材10の着座側表面に当接する側を裏面と称し、表皮部材12と当接する側を表面と称す。
 上述したように、検知部としての4個の接点A~Dは、それぞれ所定の位置に矩形に配置されてセンシング領域Sを形成している。このときセンシング領域Sのクッション部4の着座面上における配置位置は、図2に示すように、クッション部4の着座面の略中央部に該当し、乗員が着座したときに、乗員の臀部が当接し、乗員の体重による荷重が付与される位置となっている。このように、着座面の中央部とは、乗員が着座したときに、乗員の臀部が当接し荷重を付与する範囲の中央部をいうものとする。
 第3連結部28の中央部に連接されるテール部30の根元部にはR状の切り欠き30a、30aが設けられている。これにより、テール部30の屈曲位置を第3連結部に接近させても、テール部30の根元部にしわやよれ等が発生することなく良好に屈曲でき、精度のよい出力を確保できる。また、第1連結部24および第2連結部26の互いの中央部に連結される第3連結部28の根元部にもそれぞれR状の切り欠き28bが4個設けられている。ただし、R状の切り欠き30a、30aおよび4個のR状の切り欠き28bは、それぞれ必ずしも設けられている必要はなく、これらのうちの一方または両方を省略してもよい。
 ハーネス31は、テール部30が有する導出部29に電気的に接続され端部にソケット32を備えている。導出部29は検知部(接点A~D)と、ハーネス31とを電気接続するための接続端子である。ソケット32は、検知部(接点A~D)で検出された荷重を出力するものであり出力電極(図示しない)が形成されている。このソケット32はクッション部4の下方空間における前方で車両側の図示しないコネクタと接続される。コネクタは、乗員の着座状態を判断する図略のECU(Electronic Control Unit)に接続される。
 着座センサ8は、いずれも図略の、対になった上部フィルムと下部フィルムとを絶縁スペーサを介して重合することによりフィルム状に形成される。上部フィルム及び下部フィルムは、例えばポリエチレンナフタレート(PEN)等の樹脂材からなる薄肉状のフィルムで、接点A~D及び各連結部24、26、28および導出部29を除くテール部30の外形をなしている。絶縁スペーサは、例えばポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)等の樹脂からなり、上部フィルム及び下部フィルムの形状に略沿う外形をなし、接点に対応する位置には円形の開口部が設けられている。
 そして、各接点A~Dにおいて、上部フィルムに配された円形状の上部電極(図略)と、下部フィルムに配された円形状の下部電極(図略)とが、開口部を挟んで同心で対向するように設けられている。接点部において設定値以上の荷重が厚み方向に加わると、上部電極と下部電極とが接触してオンされ電流が流れて設定値以上の荷重の入力が検出される。各接点A~Dの電極は、各連結部24、26、28、テール部30およびハーネス31によってソケット32の電極に接続されている。なお、本実施形態においては、接点Aと接点B、若しくは接点Cと接点Dとが同時にオンとなった場合に荷重の入力を検出するよう構成してある。ただし、この態様に限らず、接点Aと接点D、若しくは接点Bと接点Cとが同時にオンとなった場合や、各接点A、B、C、Dがそれぞれ単独でオンとなった場合に荷重の入力を検出するよう構成してもよい。
 着座センサ8を、パッド部材10の着座側表面に固定するためには、着座センサ8の裏面に両面テープ(図示しない)が貼付されたり、粘着剤(接着剤)が塗布されたりしている。両面テープ34は、本実施形態においては接点A~Dの裏面には貼り付けられておらず、主に各連結部24、26、28の裏面に貼り付けられている。これにより、各連結部24、26、28が両面テープの接着によりパッド部材10の着座側表面に確実に固定され、着座センサ8とパッド部材10とのずれにより生じる着座違和感を抑制する。またテール部30には両面テープが設けられていないので、クッション部4のパッド部材10が沈み込んでも後述する貫通孔43内において上下方向に移動(摺動)可能である。なお、本実施形態においては両面テープを接点A~Dの裏面には貼り付けていないが、接点A~Dの裏面に貼り付けてもよい。これによっても接点A~Dの入力荷重の検出感度は十分確保される。
 次に、パッド部材10の着座面から裏面に貫通して穿設される貫通孔43について図2、図3および図6のVI-VI断面図に基づき説明する。なお、図6および以後、説明する図7乃至図13については、表皮部材12を図中には示しておらず省略してあることを前もって断っておく。貫通孔43は、図2、図3に示すようにパッド部材10の着座面の略中央部、かつ着座センサ8のセンシング領域S内においてパッド部材10の着座面から裏面に貫通して穿設されている。貫通孔43は、着座センサ8をパッド部材10の着座面に配設する際に、ソケット32、ハーネス31、およびテール部30(導出部29を含む)を着座面からパッド部材10の裏面に向って挿通させる孔である。そしてこれらが挿通された状態においては、導出部29は貫通孔43の途中に位置し、ハーネス31がパッド部材10の裏面に突出し、裏面で配策されるようになっている。これによってパッド部材10の裏面においては、ハーネス31が自在に配策でき、様々に設けられている車両側のコネクタと自在に結合することができる。
 貫通孔43は、対向する壁面43a、43a(本発明の両側面に該当する)と、壁面43a、43aと直交する壁面43b、43bとによって上面視が矩形で形成されている。図7に示すように、壁面43a、43aの着座面側の上部では、壁面43a、43aがそれぞれ凸部43aa、43abを有し、凸部43aa、43abが相互に接近して交差し貫通孔43の入口部を塞ぐように形成されている。そして該交差部の隙間部分にテール部30が挿通されている。なお、ソケット32、ハーネス31および導出部29を含むテール部30を凸部43aaおよび43abの間に挿通させるときには、凸部43aa、43abを手によって押し広げた後、凸部43aa、43ab間に先頭のソケット32を押込みながら徐々に挿入していくものとする。これにより、貫通孔43は上面から見たときに大きな隙間を有さないので、乗員が着座したときにも異物感を感じることがない。なお、本実施形態においては貫通孔43の壁面43a、43aの断面形状を図7に示す形状としたが、これに限らず、図8(変形例1)、図9(変形例2)に示すような形状によって、貫通孔43の対向する両壁面43a、43a(両側面)を接近させて貫通孔43の入口部を塞ぐようにしてもよい。これによっても同様の効果が期待できる。
 次に本発明に係る着座センサ8の取付けの作用について説明する。乗員がパッド部材10の上面に表皮部材12を介して着座すると、乗員の臀部が当接するパッド部材10の着座面の中央部である着座センサ8が配設される部位は沈み込み、着座センサ8は乗員の体重による荷重信号を良好に取得する。このとき着座センサ8のテール部30(ソケット32とハーネス31とを含む)は、パッド部材10の着座面の中央部、かつセンシング領域S内で屈曲され、下方に向ってパッド部材10の裏面に貫通して穿設されている貫通孔43に挿通されている。これによってテール部30(およびソケット32とハーネス31)はセンシング領域S内で各接点A~D(検知部)および各連結部24、26、28と同様に同量だけ沈み込む。このため、パッド部材10の着座面上におけるセンシング領域Sとテール部30との間には沈み込み量の違いによる段差が発生しない。これにより、着座センサ8のいずれかの部位に段差が発生して、引っ張り、しわ及びよれ等による変形が生じることがないので、着座センサ8は精度よく各接点A~D(検知部)の検出信号を出力することができる。
 そして着座センサ8は、乗員が車両シート2の着座面に着座すると、接点Aと接点B、または接点Cと接点Dのいずれか1つ以上がオンとなって、着座センサ8が構成する回路に電流が流れ、この電流による着座検知信号によって、ECUがシートクッション部4上に人が着座している(規定以上の荷重負荷がある)と判断する。これによって、例えばエアバック装置の作動を可能にしたり、シートベルトが非装着である旨の警告を発したりする。
 上述の説明から明らかな様に、第1の実施形態によれば、着座センサ8(荷重検知装置)は、4個の検知部A~Dによって囲繞されたセンシング領域S内でテール部30が屈曲され下方に配設される。このため、乗員が車両シート2のパッド部材10の着座面上に着座したときには、センシング領域Sと、テール部30の屈曲部分とは同時に略同量だけ沈み込む。よって、センシング領域Sと、テール部30との間ではパッド部材10の沈み込み量の違いによる段差は発生しないので、テール部30が変形されて出力値の精度が低下する虞はない。また、センシング領域S内でテール部30が屈曲され下方に配設されるので、着座センサ8(荷重検知装置)が小型化できるとともに、テール部30の長さを短くでき、これらによってコスト低減できる。
 また、第1の実施形態によれば、センシング領域S内において第3連結部に連接されるテール部30の根元部にR状の切り欠き30a、30aが設けられているので、着座センサ8を小型化するためにテール部30の屈曲位置を第3連結部28に接近させても、テール部30の根元部にしわやよれ等が発生することなく良好に屈曲でき、精度のよい出力が得られる。
 また、第1の実施形態によれば、着座センサ8が4個の検知部を備え、2個の検知部A、Bを連結する第1連結部24および残り2個の検知部C、Dを連結する第2連結部26の互いの中央部で第3連結部28が連結されている。そして第3連結部28の中央部にテール部30が連接されている。このように検知部A~Dおよび各連結部24、26、28をH状に配設することによってテール部30の下方への屈曲位置を容易にセンシング領S域内に配置することができる。
 また、第1の実施形態によれば、テール部30は導出部29で、ソケット32を備えたハーネス31に接続される。これにより、パッド部材10の裏面では、ハーネス31によって配策ができるので、ハーネス31の引き出し方向によってソケット32の位置が自在に設定でき、様々な機種の車両シートに対応できる。
 また、第1の実施形態によれば、ハーネス31が、パッド部材10の裏面に貫通孔43を介して配策され、ソケット32が車両側コネクタ(図示しない)と連結される。これにより、ハーネス31をパッド部材10の後方まで回り込ませてからパッド部材10の裏面に配策して車両側コネクタと連結する必要がないので、ハーネス31を短くできコスト低減が図れる。
 また、第1の実施形態によれば、パッド部材10の着座面側における貫通孔43の入口部は貫通孔43の対向する両側面43a、43aが接近して塞ぐように形成されている。これにより、乗員が着座したときに臀部に異物感を感じる虞がない。
 次に第2の実施形態について説明する。第2の実施形態においては、クッション部4のパッド部材10の上面の一部に、図10に示すように、幅方向に配設される凹溝64が陥没形成されている。凹溝64の作用は第1の実施形態で説明した凹溝14と同じ(吊り溝)であるので、詳細な説明は省略する。
 第2の実施形態に係る凹溝64は着座センサ8の第3連結部28を横切るよう配設されている。凹溝64は凹溝14の内周部において、パッド部材10の幅方向で凹溝14を横断して形成されている。また凹溝64はパッド部材10の着座面の前後方向において略中央部に配設され、乗員着座時に乗員の臀部が当接し、乗員の体重が付与される位置と略一致している。その他については、第1の実施形態と同様であるので説明を省略し、変更点のみ説明する。また、同様の部品には同じ符号を付して説明する。
 図10に示す様に、着座センサ8の第3連結部28は、凹溝64を横切って前後方向に延在するよう配置される。また、図11の断面図に示すように、第3導通部28の一部を湾曲させることで構成した曲成部28aが、凹溝64の底部64aに当接するよう挿入される。このとき、曲成部28aを底部64aへ導入するようパッド部材10にはテーパ部10aが設けられている。なお、凹溝64の底部64aには第3導通部28に連接されるテール部30の裏面も同時に当接されるよう曲成部28aの長手方向における位置が調整される。
 着座センサ8の第1連結部24および第2連結部26に連結される第3連結部28の根元部にはR状の切り欠き28bが4箇所設けられている(図5および図10参照)。これにより、第3連結部28の根元部近傍を屈曲させ、湾曲させることで構成した曲成部28aを凹溝64内に挿入しても第3連結部28の根元部にしわやよれ等によって変形が生じることなく良好に屈曲でき、精度のよい出力が得られる。
 このとき、凹溝64の底部64aには、第1の実施形態と同様、上面視においてパッド部材10の着座面の中央部、かつセンシング領域S内で貫通孔73が穿設されパッド部材10の裏面に貫通されている(図11参照)。そして貫通孔73にはテール部30(ソケット32とハーネス31とを含む)が挿通される。これによってテール部30(ソケット32と、ハーネス31とを含む)は、乗員がシートクッション4の着座面上に着座するとセンシング領域S内で各接点A~D(検知部)および各連結部24、26、28と若干の違いはあるものの、同様に略同量だけ沈み込む。このため、凹溝64の底部64a上においてテール部30が配置される部分には段差が発生することはないので、テール部30にも変形が生じることはなく、よって精度よく各接点A~D(検知部)の検出信号を出力することができる。
 なお、第2の実施形態においては、凹溝64がパッド部材10の幅方向に延在するよう配置したが、これに限らず、図12に示すように凹溝84を前後方向に延在するよう配置してもよい。このときも着座センサ8は、第3連結部28が凹溝84を横切るよう配設し、凹溝84の底部84aには、第2の実施形態と同様、上面視においてパッド部材10の着座面の中央部、かつセンシング領域S内で貫通孔93が穿設されパッド部材10の裏面に貫通されている。そして貫通孔93にはテール部30(ソケット32とハーネス31とを含む)が挿通される。これによっても、同様の効果が期待できる。
 上述の説明から明らかな様に、第2の実施形態においては着座センサ8の第3連結部28が凹溝64、84を横切るよう配置され、第3連結部28の一部を湾曲させることで構成した曲成部28aが凹溝64、84内に挿入される。また、テール部30も凹溝64、84内に挿入され、凹溝64、84の底部64a、84aに穿設された貫通孔73、93に挿通されている。このように、構成された着座センサ8においても、第1の実施形態と同様の効果が期待できる。
 なお、第1および第2の実施形態においては、貫通孔43、73、93は着座面に対して略直交するよう穿設した。しかしこの態様に限らず、図13に示す貫通孔の変形例3に示すように、テール部30が貫通孔に挿通されたときに、テール部30の屈曲角度が鈍角となるよう貫通孔103を設けてもよい(図13参照)。これによってテール部30の屈曲部分における断線の虞を低減できる。またテール部30の屈曲角度が鈍角となるように構成することによって、テール部30からソケット32までの長さを調節できる。これにより、様々な位置に配設される車両側のコネクタに対して良好な取り回し長さに調整することができるので、多様な車両シートに対応でき着座センサの共通化を図ることができる。
 また、第1、第2の実施形態において着座センサ8(着座検知装置)は、検知部としての4個の接点A~Dを矩形に配置するものとしたが、これに限定されず、例えば、検知部である3個の接点A~Cを3角形に並べて連結部で連結し、センシング領域S内に配置された点でテール部が連接するようにしてもよい。また、検知部を5個以上配置してもよい。この場合もセンシング領域S内に配置された点でテール部が連結部と連接するようにすればよい。これらによっても同様の効果が期待できる。
 本発明に係る荷重検知装置は、車両用シートのクッション部に乗員が着座したことを検出するのに適している。

Claims (9)

  1.  車両シート用パッド部材の着座側表面に当接して該パッド部材への荷重を検出する少なくとも3個の検知部と、
     前記検知部を連結する連結部と、
     を備えたフィルム状の荷重検知装置であって、
     前記少なくとも3個の検知部によって囲繞されるセンシング領域内で前記連結部に連接され、前記センシング領域内で下方に屈曲して前記シート用パッド部材の着座面から下方に延在し、下端に前記検知部により検出された荷重信号を導出する導出部を有したテール部を備えた荷重検知装置。
  2.  請求項1において、
     前記センシング領域内において前記連結部に連接される前記テール部の根元部にR状の切り欠きが設けられている荷重検知装置。
  3.  請求項1または請求項2において、
     前記フィルム状の荷重検知装置は4個の前記検知部を備え、
     前記連結部は前記4個の前記検知部のうち2個の検知部を連結する第1連結部および残り2個の検知部を連結する第2連結部と、
     前記第1連結部と前記第2連結部とを互いの中央部で連結する第3連結部とを備え、
     前記テール部は前記第3連結部の中央部に連接されている荷重検知装置。
  4.  請求項3において、
     前記第1連結部および前記第2連結部と連結する前記第3連結部の根元部にR状の切り欠きが設けられている荷重検知装置。
  5.  請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項において、
     前記テール部は導出部で、ソケットを備えたハーネスに接続される荷重検知装置。
  6.  請求項5において、
     前記ハーネスおよび前記ソケットは、前記車両シート用パッド部材の前記着座面の中央部を貫通して該パッド部材の裏面に貫通する貫通孔に挿通され、前記ハーネスが前記車両シート用パッド部材の前記裏面に配策され、前記ソケットが車両側コネクタと連結される荷重検知装置。
  7.  請求項6において、
     前記貫通孔は、前記テール部が挿通されたときに前記テール部の屈曲角度が鈍角になるよう穿設されている荷重検知装置。
  8.  請求項6または請求項7において、
     前記車両シート用パッド部材の前記着座面側における前記貫通孔の入口部は、前記貫通孔の対向する両側面が接近して塞ぐように形成されている荷重検知装置。
  9.  請求項6乃至請求項8のいずれか1項において、
     前記車両シート用パッド部材の前記着座側表面の1部には、前記第3連結部を横切るように凹溝が陥没形成され、前記凹溝の底部に前記貫通孔が穿設され、
     前記第3連結部の少なくとも一部を曲成形成した曲成部が前記凹溝内に挿入され、前記テール部が屈曲して前記貫通孔に挿通される荷重検知装置。
