That is, the heat dissipation effect can be improved by diffusing heat in the longitudinal direction with a large area. Further, the temperature of the housing 10 can be made uniform. Furthermore, when the mobile terminal device is dropped, a large impact is applied in the longitudinal direction of the mobile terminal device, but the strength in the longitudinal direction of the housing 10 can be improved by aligning the carbon fibers in the longitudinal direction. It is possible to improve resistance to impact at times.
- carbon fibers may be provided in a direction intersecting the longitudinal direction of the housing 10 (typically, an orthogonal direction). At this time, for the above reason, it is preferable that the amount of carbon fiber provided in the longitudinal direction of the housing 10 is larger than the amount of carbon fiber provided in the direction intersecting with the longitudinal direction of the housing 10. . Note that the amount of carbon fiber provided in the longitudinal direction of the housing 10 and the amount of carbon fiber provided in the direction intersecting the longitudinal direction of the housing 10 take into account the thermal diffusion and strength of the housing 10. Can be changed as appropriate.

- the housing 10 is configured to include a carbon composite material that is stronger than resin.
- the frame member 40 to which the battery 20 and the substrate 30 are fixed is fixed to the housing 10. Therefore, the plastic deformation of the frame member 40 can be suppressed by the restoring force of the strong casing 10.
- the rigidity of the mobile terminal device can be ensured at a portion where the housing 10 and the frame member 40 are integrated. Therefore, the strength of the mobile terminal device can be maintained even when the housing 10 is thinned.
- substrate 30 are being fixed to the housing
- an impact applied to the housing 10 when the mobile terminal device is dropped is not directly transmitted to the battery 20 or the substrate 30, but is transmitted from the housing 10 to the frame member 40, and then the frame member. Since the electric power is transmitted from the battery 40 to the battery 20 and the substrate 30, the impact transmitted to the battery 20 and the substrate 30 can be reduced.

Examples of the material used for the frame member 140 include magnesium alloy, aluminum, and stainless steel. In view of reducing the weight of the mobile terminal device 2, it is preferable to use a magnesium alloy. Further, the frame member 140 may be formed using a resin material as long as strength can be ensured.
- the frame member 140 has an opening 141 at a position corresponding to a position where the battery 120 is attached. That is, the frame member 140 has an opening (first opening) 141 at a position facing the upper surface (first surface) of the battery 120.
- the opening 141 By providing the opening 141 in this manner, as shown in the cross-sectional view of FIG. 12, a part of the battery 140 can be provided inside the frame member 140, and the space inside the housing can be effectively used. it can.
- the battery 120 may be fixed so that the upper surface of the battery 120 protrudes from the upper surface of the frame member 140, and the battery 120 is mounted so that the upper surface of the battery 120 and the upper surface of the frame member 140 are flush with each other. It may be fixed.
- the interference between the display unit 150 (that is, the touch panel 151 and the display panel 152) and the battery 120 is reduced, and the thickness can be reduced. Further, when the upper surface of the battery 120 and the upper surface of the frame member 140 are the same surface, and the same surface and the display unit 150 (that is, the touch panel 151 or the display panel 152) are in close contact with each other, the thickness is further reduced. And the strength of the entire terminal can be improved.
- the frame member 140 has a plurality of attachment holes 144 for fixing the battery 120 to the frame member 140 using screws or the like at positions corresponding to the attachment holes 123 of the battery 120.
- four attachment holes 144 for attaching the battery 120 to the frame member 140 are formed.
- the battery 140 is fixed to the frame member 140 from the side where the housing 110 is provided using screws or the like.
- the frame member 140 has openings (second openings) 142 and 143 at positions corresponding to the circuit elements 131 and 132 provided on the substrate 130.
- second openings second openings
- the frame member 140 and the circuit elements 131 and 132 interfere with each other even when the circuit elements 131 and 132 provided on the substrate 130 are high. Can be suppressed.
- the frame member 140 has a plurality of attachment holes 145 for fixing the substrate 130 to the frame member 140 with screws or the like at positions corresponding to the attachment holes 133 of the substrate 130.
- three attachment holes 145 for attaching the substrate 130 to the frame member 140 are formed.
- the substrate 130 is fixed to the frame member 140 from the side where the housing 110 is provided using screws or the like.
- the frame member 140 has a plurality of mounting holes 146 for fixing the frame member 140 to the housing 110 using screws or the like at positions corresponding to the fixing portion 11 of the housing 10. In the example shown in FIG. 9, a total of twelve attachment holes 146 are provided in the frame member 140.
- the housing 110 is configured to accommodate the battery 120, the substrate 130, and the frame member 140 inside the housing 110.
- the housing 110 is provided with a camera hole 115.
- a plurality of fixing portions 111 for fixing the frame member 140 are provided on the inner wall of the housing 110.
- the fixing portion 111 is provided at a position corresponding to the fixing position (attachment hole 146) of the frame member 140 so as to protrude inward from the outer peripheral portion.
- a fixing portion 114 for fixing the frame member 140 is also provided inside the housing 110.
- a mounting hole 112 is formed in each of the fixing portions 111 and 114. In the example shown in FIG. 9, twelve fixing portions 111 and 114 are provided in the housing 110.
- a fixing surface 113 for fixing the display unit 150 is provided on the outer periphery of the housing 110.
- the fixing portion 111 is provided at a position inside the outer peripheral portion of the housing 110 and lower than the fixing surface 113.
- the frame member 140 is supported on the upper surface of the fixing unit 111 of the housing 110 and is fixed to the fixing unit 111 from the display unit 150 side using screws 148.
- the display unit 150 is fixed to the fixed surface 113 of the housing 110.
- the display unit 150 can be fixed to the fixing surface 113 of the housing 110 using an adhesive.
- the attachment position of the frame member 140 can be separated from the display portion 150. For example, when the mobile terminal device is dropped, the display portion is removed from the battery. The impact transmitted to 150 can be reduced.
- the housing 110 includes a carbon composite material (carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP: Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics)).
- CFRP Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics
- the carbon composite material is a composite material containing 50% by volume or more of carbon and containing an inorganic binder such as silica and alumina, a fiber, and the like. Carbon composite material has both high strength and lightness. Carbon composite materials have higher thermal conductivity than resin materials (plastic materials).
- the case 110 of the portable terminal device has a portion formed using a carbon composite material and a portion formed using a resin material.
- the back surface of the housing 110 may be formed of a carbon composite material, and the periphery (portion having a curvature) of the housing 110 may be formed using a resin material (see the periphery 118 in FIG. 14).
- the housing 110 is easily processed by forming the portion having a curvature using a resin material.
- the housing 110 having the carbon composite material and the resin material can be formed, for example, by placing the carbon composite material at a predetermined location on the mold of the housing 110 and performing injection molding.
- the carbon composite material includes carbon fiber.
- Carbon fiber has the properties of high thermal conductivity and high strength along the direction of the carbon fiber. Therefore, the heat generated from the battery 120 or the substrate 130 can be diffused in the longitudinal direction of the housing 110 by providing the carbon fiber on the back surface of the housing 110 so as to be in the longitudinal direction of the housing 110. . That is, the heat dissipation effect can be improved by diffusing heat in the longitudinal direction with a large area. Further, the temperature of the housing 110 can be made uniform. Furthermore, when the mobile terminal device is dropped, a large impact is applied in the longitudinal direction of the mobile terminal device, but the strength in the longitudinal direction of the housing 110 can be improved by aligning the carbon fibers in the longitudinal direction, and the mobile terminal device is dropped. It is possible to improve resistance to impact at times.
- carbon fibers may be provided in a direction (typically, an orthogonal direction) that intersects the longitudinal direction of the housing 110. At this time, for the reason described above, it is preferable that the amount of carbon fiber provided in the longitudinal direction of the housing 110 is larger than the amount of carbon fiber provided in the direction intersecting the longitudinal direction of the housing 110. . Note that the amount of carbon fiber provided in the longitudinal direction of the housing 110 and the amount of carbon fiber provided in a direction intersecting the longitudinal direction of the housing 110 take into account the thermal diffusion and strength of the housing 110. Can be changed as appropriate.
- the carbon fiber direction of the carbon fiber layer disposed on the innermost side of the housing 110 among the plurality of carbon fiber layers may be the longitudinal direction of the housing 110.
- the thermal conductivity in the fiber direction of the carbon fibers is about 20 to 30 times the thermal conductivity in the lamination direction of the carbon fibers. Therefore, by doing in this way, the heat generated from the battery 120 and the board 130 provided in the housing 110 is diffused in the longitudinal direction of the housing 110 before diffusing to the outside of the housing 110. Can do.
- FIG. 14 is a rear perspective view of the portable terminal device 2 according to the present embodiment. As shown in FIG. 14, the portions 116 and 117 where the antenna is provided in the housing 110 are formed using an insulating material such as a resin material, thereby suppressing radio waves received by the antenna from being shielded. can do.
- a space can be provided at the longitudinal end in the casing, and an impact at the longitudinal end is achieved. Can be absorbed.
- impact absorption at the longitudinal end can be improved by forming the longitudinal end using a resin material that is softer than the carbon composite material.
- the longitudinal end portion using a resin material, and further forming the longitudinal end portion of the mobile terminal device so as to have a curvature, the impact received by the mobile terminal device at the time of dropping is reduced using the resin material.
- the vertex of the portion having the curvature is a portion that easily collides when dropped, it is preferable to form the casing using the resin material so as to include the vertex of the portion having the curvature.
- FIG. 10 is an exploded perspective view showing an example of the display unit 150 of the mobile terminal device 2 according to the present embodiment.
- the display unit 150 includes a display panel 152, a bezel 153 provided so as to surround the display panel 152, and a touch panel 151 provided on the surface side of the display panel 152.
- a panel formed of glass or plastic that does not have a touch panel function may be provided on the surface side of the display panel 152 instead of the touch panel 151.
- the touch panel 151 includes a panel 161, an electrode portion 162 provided on the surface of the panel 161, and a wiring 163. Since the touch panel 151 detects a position touched by a user's finger using capacitance, the detection signal is weak. Therefore, it is preferable that a portion where the wiring 163 of the touch panel 151 is taken out is arranged so as to overlap the substrate 130 in a direction perpendicular to the main surface (front surface) of the touch panel 151. By arranging the touch panel 151 and the substrate 130 in this manner, the length of the wiring 163 of the touch panel 151 can be shortened, and noise can be prevented from being mixed into the detection signal.
- the display panel 152 is, for example, a liquid crystal panel or an organic EL panel.
- Flexible cables 172 and 174 for supplying image signals and the like to the display panel body 171 are connected to the display panel body 171 at end portions 173 and 175 of the display panel body 171.
- the display panel main body 171 is held by a bezel 153.
- the bezel 153 has a side wall 181 that covers the side surface of the display panel body 171 and a bottom surface 182 that covers a part of the back surface of the display panel body 171.
- An opening 183 is formed in a part of the bottom surface of the bezel 153 to reduce the weight.
- the bezel 153 is provided to prevent the display panel body 171 from being distorted by its own weight when the size of the display panel body 171 is large. For example, if the size of the display panel main body 171 is about 4 inches, the display panel main body 171 is less distorted by its own weight. However, when the size of the display panel main body 171 is 7 inches or more, distortion due to its own weight increases, and the bezel 153 is required. The reason for leaving the corners of the bezel 153 is to ensure the strength of the bezel 153.
- the bezel 153 is preferably formed using a metal material such as stainless steel because a certain level of strength is required.
- the bezel 153 is formed so that the thickness of a portion 184 corresponding to a portion (end portions 173 and 175) where the flexible cables 172 and 174 are connected to the display panel main body 171 is reduced. Accordingly, interference between the bezel 153 and the flexible cables 172 and 175 can be suppressed, and the thickness including the display panel 152 and the bezel 153 can be reduced.
- FIG. 11 is a bottom view of the display unit 150 of the mobile terminal device 2 according to the present embodiment.
- FIG. 11 is a diagram for comparing the sizes of the touch panel 151, the display panel 152, and the frame member 140 (the bezel 153 is omitted).
- the frame member 140 is provided inside the touch panel 151
- the display panel 152 is further provided inside the frame member 140.
- the size of the touch panel 151 corresponds to the size of the housing 110, and the outer peripheral portion of the touch panel 151 is fixed to a fixing surface 113 provided on the outer peripheral portion of the housing 110.
- FIG. 15 is an exploded perspective view showing another example of the portable terminal device according to the present embodiment.
- 16 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line XVI-XVI of the mobile terminal device shown in FIG.
- the spacer 190 is provided between the fixing surface 113 of the casing 110 and the touch panel 151.
- the spacer 190 is provided so as to cover the fixing surface 113 of the housing 110. At this time, as shown in the cross-sectional view of FIG.
- the spacer 190 covers the outer peripheral side surface of the touch panel 151, and a step 118 is provided on the fixed surface 113 of the housing 110, so that the touch panel 151 has an in-plane direction. Even when stress is applied, the touch panel 151 can be prevented from being displaced from the housing 110. In addition, by providing the spacer 190, positioning when the touch panel 151 is fixed to the fixing surface 113 of the housing 110 can be facilitated.
- the mobile terminal device includes the frame member 140 to which the battery 120 and the substrate 130 are fixed, the casing 110 to which the frame member 140 is fixed and including the carbon composite material, and the frame. And a display unit 150 fixed to the housing 110 on the side where the member 140 is fixed.
- the housing 110 is configured to include a carbon composite material that is stronger than the resin.
- the frame member 140 to which the battery 120 and the substrate 130 are fixed is fixed to the housing 110. Therefore, plastic deformation of the frame member 140 can be suppressed by the restoring force of the strong casing 110.
- the rigidity of the mobile terminal device can be ensured at a portion where the casing 110 and the frame member 140 are integrated. Therefore, the strength of the mobile terminal device can be maintained even when the housing 110 is thinned.
- substrate 30 are being fixed to the housing
- the impact applied to the casing 110 when the mobile terminal device is dropped is not transmitted directly to the battery 120 or the substrate 130 but is transmitted from the casing 110 to the frame member 140, and then the frame member 140 is transmitted to the battery 120 and the substrate 130, the impact transmitted to the battery 120 and the substrate 130 can be reduced.
- the display unit 150 is fixed to the fixing surface 113 of the casing 110, and the frame member 140 is It is fixed to the fixing part 111. That is, the display unit 150 and the frame member 140 are fixed independently at different locations of the housing 110. Therefore, a space can be provided between the periphery of the bezel 153 and the frame member 140 (see FIGS. 12 and 16).
- the battery 120, the substrate 130, and the frame member 140 are connected to the display unit. The impact transmitted to 50 can be reduced.
- the invention according to this embodiment can provide a mobile terminal device capable of realizing a reduction in thickness and an improvement in impact resistance.
