Abstract

L'invention concerne essentiellement un démarreur (1 ) pour moteur thermique de véhicule automobile comportant un pignon d'entraînement (13) mobile en translation sur un arbre d'entraînement (15), et un contacteur commandant le déplacement du pignon d'entraînement via un levier de commande (27), le contacteur comportant un ressort (291 ) dit ressort dent- contre-dent. Un système d'accouplement (30) comportant un empilement de disques de friction est installé entre le pignon d'entraînement (13) et l'arbre d'entraînement (15). Une butée (51 ), contre laquelle prend appui le pignon d'entraînement (13), est positionnée de sorte que, lorsque le pignon d'entraînement (13) entre en contact avec la butée (51 ), le ressort dent contre dent (291 ) est comprimé par rapport à son état de compression initial de manière à exercer un effort en direction du pignon d'entraînement (13) pour faciliter une activation du système d'accouplement.
