- a shoe upper 1 according to the present embodiment shown in FIG. 1 is obtained by knitting an upper upper part and an upper bottom part integrally without sewing in accordance with a special knitting procedure, and is entirely formed of a knitted structure. .
- the fact that the shoe upper 1 is knitted by a special knitting procedure is understood from the fact that the shoe upper 1 is divided into a heel cover portion 2 and a body portion 3 which are distinguished by the direction of the stitches.
- the knitting structure which comprises the shoe upper 1 is not specifically limited, For example, a tentacle structure, a mesh structure, a rib structure, or these mixed structures may be sufficient.
- the heel cover portion 2 of the shoe upper 1 is a portion from the upper end to the lower end of the upper upper portion at a position corresponding to the region from the wearer's Achilles tendon to the heel in the upper upper portion.
- the heel cover portion 2 has a predetermined width, for example, a knitting width of 3 stitches or more, and the direction of the stitches of the knitting structure constituting the heel cover portion 2 is directed to the height direction (downward) of the shoe upper. (See the enlarged circle on the top).
- the body part 3 of the shoe upper 1 is composed of a part of the upper part excluding the heel cover part 2 and an upper bottom part.
- the heel is located at the side L1 disposed in the upper bottom region (region corresponding to the upper bottom) of the shoe upper 1.
- the start end portion of the body portion 3 in the wale direction is connected to the end portion of the cover portion 2 in the wale direction.
- the start end portion in the wale direction of the body portion 3 is connected to the end portion (side end) in the knitting width direction of the heel cover portion 2.
- the direction of the stitches of the heel cover portion 2 is directed to the height direction of the shoe upper 1, whereas the direction of the stitches of the body portion 3 is directed to the length direction (forward direction) of the shoe upper 1 (lower side). (See the enlarged circled view).
- the heel cover portion 2 and the body portion 3 are connected to each other at the positions of the sides L2 and L3 by connecting the end portion in the knitting width direction of the heel cover portion 2 and the end portion in the wale direction of the body portion 3. Are three-dimensionally connected.
- a slit 50 extending from the reinforcing edge portion 4 toward the toe is formed in the upper portion of the body portion 3 (that is, the upper portion of the upper portion), so that it is easy to insert a foot from the wearing mouth 40. Yes. Further, an eyelet hole 60 for attaching an eyelet through which the shoelace passes is formed at a position sandwiching the slit 50 in the body portion 3.
- the shoe upper 1 of the present embodiment is provided with a reinforcing edge 4.
- the reinforcing edge 4 is a knitted structure provided at the edge near the mouth 40 of the shoe upper 1, that is, the upper edge of the upper upper part, and is connected to the body 3 and the heel cover 2 without sewing. ing.
- the reinforcing edge 4 mainly has a function of stabilizing the contour shape of the upper upper edge in the vicinity of the mouth 40, and as a result, the shoe upper 1 in which a foot can be easily inserted from the mouth 40 can be obtained.
- the direction of the stitches of the reinforcing edge portion 4 is the same as that of the stitches of the heel cover portion 2 reflecting a knitting process described later.
- the shoe upper 1 is produced by knitting the right side portion of the shoe upper 1 with one needle bed of the flat knitting machine and the left side portion with the other needle bed using a knitting yarn containing a thermoplastic resin or the like. Can do.
- FIG. 2 is a knitting image diagram schematically showing the knitting procedure of the right side portion of the shoe upper 1.
- the left side portion of the shoe upper 1 may be considered to be disposed on the back side of the paper surface of FIG. 2, and the right side portion and the left side portion of the shoe upper 1 are connected on the right side of the paper surface. Since the left part of the shoe upper 1 is knitted by the same knitting as the right part, the description thereof is omitted. Needless to say, since the shape of the foot is asymmetrical, it is preferable to change the knitting width of the right and left portions of the shoe upper 1 according to the shape of the foot.
- the shoe upper 1 is knitted by dividing it into five regions: a reinforcing edge region ⁇ , a heel region ⁇ , a main body rear region ⁇ , a main body front region ⁇ , and a toe region ⁇ .
- the region ⁇ corresponds to the reinforcing edge portion 4
- the region ⁇ corresponds to the heel cover portion 2
- the regions ⁇ to ⁇ correspond to the body portion 3.
- Each region ⁇ to ⁇ is basically knitted by C-shaped knitting or cylindrical knitting (the arrow with an arrow head on both ends is a C-shaped knitting, and the arrow with an arrow head only on one side is a cylindrical knitting. Showing).
- the long dotted line in FIG. 2 represents the boundary between the upper upper portion and the upper bottom portion
- the short dotted line represents the portion where the reduction is made
- the alternate long and short dash line represents the boundary between the above regions ⁇ to ⁇ .
- the lower case alphabets a to l are attached to the positions that are important points.
- the two-dot chain line will be described in a modified embodiment to be described later.
- the heel cover portion 2 is constituted by the plurality of stitch rows.
- knitting a multi-stage stitch row knitting the stitch row of the heel cover portion 2 by 1 to 3 steps, and transferring the knitted stitch row to the side (right side) away from the reinforcing edge 4; And repeat.
- a new stitch row is knitted continuously in the wale direction of the stitch row that has been transferred, hooks are formed at the end in the knitting width direction of the new stitch row. That is, in the figure, the hooks are arranged on the line ce.
- the knitting needles on the needle bed are in a state where the a-c stitches, the c-e stitches, and the ef stitches are locked.
- the a-c stitches are stitches at the end of the wale direction of the reinforcing edge 4
- the c-e stitches are the stitches at the knitting width direction end of the heel cover 2 (corresponding to the side L2 in FIG. 1)
- ef This stitch is the stitch at the end of the heel cover 2 in the wale direction (corresponding to the right side of the side L1 in FIG. 1).
- the heel cover 2 is preferably knitted using reinforcing knitting yarn.
- the heel cover portion 2 may be knitted with a reinforcing knitting yarn obtained by twisting a high-tension knitting yarn and a thermoplastic resin knitting yarn.
- the heel cover portion 2 can be kept in a plate shape by heat-treating the shoe upper 1.
- the heel cover portion 2 retained in a plate shape serves as a heel counter provided in a general shoe.
- the heel cover portion 2 may be knitted so that the knitting width becomes wider from the upper end of the upper portion toward the lower end. That is, the heel cover portion 2 is knitted while increasing the knitting width by increasing the split so that the width of ef is wider than the width of cb.
- the upper bottom part side part of the heel cover part 2 shown in FIG. 1 bulges behind the shoe upper 1, and it can be set as the shoe upper 1 along the shape from a wearer's Achilles tendon to a heel. This configuration is particularly effective when the strength of the heel cover portion 2 is increased by the reinforcing knitting yarn.
- the size of the mouth 40 of the shoe upper 1 shown in FIG. 1 is adjusted to the size of the ankle. If the heel is a cramped shoe upper 1 and the size of the upper bottom is adjusted to the size of the heel, the mouth 40 will be too large for the ankle. On the other hand, if the heel cover portion 2 has an increased knitting width from the upper end to the lower end, the above problem does not occur.
- the wale direction start end part of the upper bottom region of the body part 3 is formed continuously to the wale direction end part of the heel cover part 2, and in the side L2 and L3, the knitting width direction of the heel cover part 2 is formed.
- the wale direction start end portion of the upper upper region of the body portion 2 is formed following the hook formed on the end portion. That is, at the sides L2 and L3, the knitting direction of the heel cover part 2 and the knitting direction of the body part 3 are substantially orthogonal, and the heel cover part 2 and the body part 3 are three-dimensionally connected.
- the knitting width of the stitch row is increased after the knitting width of the stitch row is reduced.
- the portion of the reinforcing edge 4 corresponding to the wearer's heel is curved to the upper bottom side so as to avoid the heel (also including gh in FIG. 2). reference).
- the curved shape is formed by increasing / decreasing the number of stitches in the knitting width direction of the body portion 3 at the position on the side of the mouth (the position gh in FIG. 2). Therefore, the stitches constituting the body portion 3 are aligned straight from the heel cover portion 2 toward the toe portion. If the stitches are increased or decreased within the knitting width of the body portion, the direction of the stitches may become uneven, and the appearance of the shoe upper 1 may be impaired.
- the increase or decrease of the stitches in the main body rear region ⁇ is preferably made different between the right side portion and the left side portion of the shoe upper 1 (the same applies to the main body front region ⁇ and the toe region ⁇ described later).
- the shape of the right side portion and the left side portion is changed in consideration of the three-dimensional shape of the foot, such as making the height of the thumb side portion of the shoe upper 1 higher than that of the little finger side.
- the stitch row that becomes the main body front region ⁇ of the body part 3 is knitted in a plurality of stages following the wale direction of the ad (h) -i stitch.
- the main body front region ⁇ can be tapered along the shape of the foot by reducing the knitting width of the stitch row at the position of the short dotted line toward the toe region ⁇ .
- the eyelet hole 60 is formed at a position near the slit 50 (see FIG. 1) when the main body front region ⁇ is knitted.
- the eyelet hole 60 can be formed by a known mesh knitting, miss knitting, or the like.
- the tip of the shoe upper 1 can have a tapered shape along the shape of the foot.
- the direction of the stitches in the tip region ⁇ can be neatly aligned, and the appearance of the shoe upper 1 can be improved.
- a tongue (not shown) is attached to the inside of the upper slit 50 and an outer sole (not shown) is joined to the bottom of the upper.
- an eyelet (not shown) is attached to the eyelet hole 60, and the shoe is completed through a shoelace on the eyelet.
- the tongue can also be formed integrally with the shoe upper 1 by a flat knitting machine. In that case, a set-up portion may be knitted when the vicinity of the cut end 51 is knitted, and a tongue may be knitted following the set-up portion. Further, if a shoe to be used indoors is produced, the outer sole may not be attached to the shoe upper 1. In that case, the upper bottom may be a thick knitted structure.
- the shoe upper 1 of the present embodiment is excellent in productivity because it is obtained by knitting the upper upper portion and the upper bottom portion integrally without sewing. Further, when the outer sole is connected to the shoe upper 1, the shoe upper 1 made of knitted fabric is already held in a three-dimensional shape, so that the upper bottom of the shoe upper 1 and the outer sole are aligned. Since it is easy and the shoe upper 1 is not easily deformed, the mounting operation itself is also easy. Furthermore, since the stitches of the heel cover portion 2 of the shoe upper 1 are oriented in the height direction of the shoe upper 1 and the stitches of the body portion 3 are oriented in the length direction of the shoe upper 1, the appearance of the shoe upper 1 is good. In particular, the appearance of the shoe upper 1 can be further improved by aligning the direction of the stitches in the body portion 3.
- the knitting is started from the reinforcing edge portion 4, the heel cover portion 2 is knitted, and then the body portion 3 is knitted from the main body rear region ⁇ to the toe region ⁇ following the heel cover portion 3.
- the heel cover portion 2 is knitted following the body portion 3, and finally the reinforcing edge portion 4 is knitted. good.
- the shoe upper 1 may be knitted according to a procedure such that FIG. Specifically, it is as follows.
- a set-up portion is formed on the needle bed, and a toe region ⁇ is knitted following the set-up portion.
- the portion that becomes the cut end 51 is subjected to the bind-off process, and the main body region ⁇ that follows the other portion is knitted.
- the body portion 3 is completed by repeatedly knitting the stitch row of the main body rear region ⁇ following the hj of the main body front region ⁇ and moving the knitted stitch row to the right side of the drawing.
- the knitting of the main body rear region ⁇ when a new stitch row is knitted following the stitch row brought closer to the right side of the drawing, hooks are formed at the ends of the stitch rows in the knitting width direction.
- the stitches are arranged on the line hg, and the stitch row can be formed following the end in the knitting width direction of the rear body region ⁇ .
- the hg line can be curved by appropriately increasing or decreasing the knitting width in the knitting of the main body rear region ⁇ . Similar to the first embodiment, the curved line is formed so that the body portion 3 does not interfere with the wearer's heel.
- the needle bed When knitting of the body rear region ⁇ is finished, the needle bed has jh stitches (stitches at the end of the wale direction of the body front region ⁇ ) and hg stitches (ends in the knitting width direction of the body rear region ⁇ ). Ge) (the stitches at the end of the wale direction of the body rear region ⁇ ). Of these stitches, the ge stitch corresponds to the side L2, and the ef stitch corresponds to the right side portion of the side L1. Therefore, the heel cover portion 2 is knitted following the waling direction of the side L1, and the knitting at the end portion in the knitting width direction of the heel cover portion 2 is joined to the knitting of the body portion 3 of the eg.
- the wale direction end portion of the upper bottom region of the body portion 3 is connected to the start portion of the heel direction of the heel cover portion 2 at the position of the side L1, and the upper upper region of the body portion 3 is positioned at the positions of the sides L2 and L3.
- the wale direction end portion and the knitting width direction end portion (side end) of the heel cover portion 2 are connected.
- the heel cover portion 2 and the body portion 3 are three-dimensionally connected.
- the stitches of jhc (g) -b are locked on one needle bed, so that the reinforcing edge portion follows the wale direction of these stitches. 4 is organized.
- the direction of the stitches of the heel cover portion 2 and the reinforcing edge portion 4 is directed in the height direction (upward) of the shoe upper 1, and the direction of the stitches of the body portion 3 is the length of the shoe upper 1.
- the three-dimensional shoe upper 1 facing in the vertical direction (backward) can be knitted without sewing.
- the heel counter knitted with the reinforcing knitting yarn may be extended to a part of the body portion 3 (for example, a portion indicated by a two-dot chain line in FIG. 1).
- a part of the body portion 3 for example, a portion indicated by a two-dot chain line in FIG. 1.
- Intarsia knitting is performed so that the reinforcing knitting yarn is knitted into a triangular portion surrounded by ek-g.
- the heel counter with the above shape has the same shape as the heel counter formed on sports shoes, etc., and the heel counter with such a shape is formed on the shoe upper to improve the comfort of shoes. Can do.
- a shoelace type shoe upper having shoelaces has been described, but a step-in type shoe upper having no shoelaces may be used.
- the slit 50 extending from the reinforcing edge portion 4 to the toe may not be formed.
- the reinforcing edge 4 may not be knitted. In that case, after the shoe upper 1 without the reinforcing edge 4 is completed, a reinforcing material made of resin or the like may be attached to the edge of the shoe mouth 40, or the reinforcing edge 4 knitted separately from the shoe upper 1 may be joined. preferable.

Abstract
