むだ時間を有する無定位系の制御装置
 本発明は、むだ時間(dead time)を有する無定位系を制御する技術に関する。
 例えば、特許文献1に開示されたようなタイヤの走行試験装置では、一対のドラム間に架け渡されたベルトが、タイヤ試験中に蛇行したり、適切な位置からずれたりすることがある。そのため、この走行試験装置では、ベルト位置を実測した上でドラムの揺動量を可変とすることにより、ベルト位置の制御を行っている。
 この走行試験装置に代表される制御系は、その動特性にむだ時間、積分特性を備えていて「むだ時間を有する無定位系」と考えることができる。
 このような「むだ時間を有する無定位系」に対して補償を行う制御手法として、スミス補償が有名である。
 例えば、特許文献2には、むだ時間を有する制御対象の出力をフィードバックし、目標値との偏差に基づいてPI制御またはPID制御を行う、制御装置のむだ時間を補償するむだ時間補償制御装置が開示されている。このむだ時間補償制御装置は、上記制御対象におけるむだ時間をむだ時間スミス補償法によるスミス補償器で補償すると共に、制御装置モデル手段と制御装置むだ時間モデル手段とを有する制御装置むだ時間補償器により、上記制御装置の内部のむだ時間を補償する。

 特許文献2に示したように、スミス補償は多くの制御系の補償に用いられている。しかしながら、一方で、スミス補償は、積分が含まれる無定位系に対して、むだ時間の補償系に含まれる積分特性が影響し(言い換えれば、モデルと実機との積分値の差が影響し)、オフセット誤差が発生するため、制御性能が悪化することが知見されている。
 図1は、むだ時間と積分特性を有する無定位系、及びこの無定位系を制御する制御系の一例を示す。積分特性を有する制御対象に対しては、制御1、制御2のようにカスケード状に制御器を接続するカスケード制御が一般的とされている。
 特許文献1に示すタイヤの走行試験装置(図10参照)をモデル化した場合も、図1に示すような制御ブロック図となる。図1の制御1(第1制御器)、制御2(第2制御器)は、図10の制御部内に設けられている。
 図2には、図1に示した制御系でのステップ入力時の制御結果が示されている。この制御では、第1制御器としてP制御を、第2制御器としてPI制御が行なわれる(P-PI制御のカスケード制御)。図2から明らかなように、図1の制御系の場合、むだ時間の影響により制御ゲインを上げられず、応答が遅い。制御ゲインを必要以上に上げるとハンチングが発生するため、単純なカスケード制御ではこれ以上の高応答化を図ることができない。
 一方、図3には、図1の制御系にスミス補償系(スミス補償ループ)を追加し、むだ時間を補償した例が示されている。
 図4には、図3の制御系での制御の結果が示されている。図4から明らかなように、スミス補償により、むだ時間の影響を受けることなくステップ応答の高応答化が図られている。30秒の時点で外乱dが印加され積分誤差が発生すると、スミス補償がない場合には、ゆっくりではあるが目標値1に近づいて行く。しかしながら、スミス補償がある場合には、スミス補償系の積分値と実機での積分値との積分誤差により、誤差が収束せずオフセット誤差Doffが発生してしまう。
 図5に示すように、オフセット誤差Doffの発生を防止するため、スミス補償の出力にハイパス特性(ハイパスフィルタ)を追加し、低周波に発生する積分誤差を遮断することで積分誤差の影響を抑制する手法も知見されている。
 図6には、図5の制御系での制御の結果が示されている。制御条件は図4の場合と同じである。図6からわかるように、スミス補償の出力にハイパス特性を追加したことにより、積分誤差によるオフセット誤差は改善されている。しかしながら、この場合には逆に、ステップ応答時(応答初期)に大きなオーバーシュートが発生し(図6のA部分)、目標値応答が大きく悪化してしまう。
 以上まとめれば、
(1)むだ時間と積分特性を含む無定位系の制御では、スミス補償などのむだ時間補償なしにはゲインアップが不可能である。
(2)しかしながら、無定位系にスミス補償を適用すると、積分誤差の影響でオフセット誤差が発生し、問題となる場合がある。
(3)このオフセット誤差を抑制するため、低周波領域で発生するスミス補償の積分誤差成分をハイパス特性(低周波遮断特性)にて遮断する方法が知られている。しかしながら、低周波に存在する積分誤差以外の有用な情報も遮断されるため、ステップ入力時などの目標値応答が大きくオーバーシュートするなど、問題が発生することが知見されている。
 上記問題点を鑑み、本発明は、むだ時間を有する無定位系に対し、積分誤差に起因するオフセット誤差を抑制しつつゲインアップによる高応答化を図ることができる制御装置を提供することを目的とする。
 上述の目的を達成するため、本発明においては以下の技術的手段を講じた。
 本発明に係るむだ時間を有する無定位系の制御装置は、動特性にむだ時間と積分特性が含まれる「むだ時間を有する無定位系」からなる制御対象を制御する制御装置であって、前記制御対象の動特性に基づいて、当該制御対象でのむだ時間を補償する「むだ時間補償系」と、前記むだ時間補償系に起因する積分誤差を補償する「積分誤差補償系」と、を有し、前記積分誤差補償系は、外乱が入力されない状態での前記制御対象の動特性をモデル化した理想応答器と、前記理想応答器の出力と制御対象の出力との比較値が入力され、入力された比較値を補正した後で前記制御対象へ入力する補正器と、を有することを特徴とする。
 好ましくは、前記制御対象が、一対のドラム間に架け渡された無端のベルトを有すると共に、当該ベルト上を試験用のタイヤが転動するように構成されたタイヤの走行試験装置であり、前記ドラムの揺動パラメータが制御対象の入力であり、前記ベルトの位置が制御対象の出力であってもよい。
 本発明の制御装置によれば、むだ時間を有する無定位系に対し、積分誤差に起因するオフセット誤差を抑制しつつゲインアップによる高応答化を図ることができる。

 以下、本発明に係る、むだ時間を有する無定位系の制御装置の実施の形態を、図をもとに説明する。
 まず、各実施形態の制御装置1を説明する前に、むだ時間を有する無定位系2について説明を行う。
 むだ時間を有する無定位系2の代表的な例としては、特許文献1(日本国特開2010-122006号公報)に開示されたタイヤTの走行試験装置が挙げられる。図10は、タイヤTの走行試験装置50を示す。
 この走行試験装置50は、駆動モータ51に連結されて正逆に回転自在とされた駆動ドラム52と、駆動ドラム52に対して距離をあけて軸心同士が互いに平行となるように設けられた従動ドラム53と、駆動ドラム52と従動ドラム53との間に架け渡された無端のベルト54と、を有している。ベルト54の平坦面に形成された路面(試験路面)に、試験用のタイヤTが接地している。走行試験装置50は、ベルト54上の試験路面にタイヤTを接地・転動させてタイヤTの走行特性を評価できるように構成されている。
 さらに、この走行試験装置50には、ベルト蛇行防止装置55が備えられている。ベルト蛇行防止装置55は、走行試験装置50に設けられた駆動ドラム52と従動ドラム53とのうち、従動ドラム53を駆動ドラム52に対して揺動させることで、ベルト54の蛇行、位置ずれを修正している。
 ベルト蛇行防止装置55は、駆動ドラム52に対して従動ドラム53を上下方向に沿った揺動軸回りに揺動させるドラム揺動手段56と、このドラム揺動手段56を制御する制御部57と、を備えている。ドラム揺動手段56は、その揺動量θ、揺動速度θ’、揺動力などの揺動パラメータに応じて、ベルト54の位置を可変とする。ベルト蛇行防止装置55は、ベルト位置をセンサ58などで実測した上で、ドラムの揺動量の積分値を用いてベルト位置の制御を行っている。
 この走行試験装置50に代表される系は、むだ時間、積分特性を備えていて「むだ時間を有する無定位系2」と考えることができる。
[第1実施形態]
 図7は、本発明の第1実施形態を示したものであって、走行試験装置50の特性を表現した制御系、すなわちむだ時間を有する無定位系2、及びこの無定位系2を制御する制御装置1をブロック図で示したものである。
 むだ時間を有する無定位系2(以下、単に無定位系2と表記することもある)は、走行試験装置50の動特性に起因するP(s)、むだ時間を表現するe-Ls、積分器1/sから構成されている。積分器1/sの入力側には外乱dが入力されるものとなっている。
 このような無定位系2の入力部分には、無定位系2を制御するための第1制御器3(図では制御1と表記)、第2制御器4(図では制御2と表記)が設けられている。第1制御器3、第2制御器4としては、P制御やI制御を採用することができる。目標入力値は、第1制御器3、第2制御器4を介した上で無定位系2へ入力され、これにより無定位系2が制御されることとなる。
 また、本実施形態の制御装置1は、この無定位系2に対して、スミス補償系5(むだ時間補償系)を備えている。
 スミス補償系5の構成としては、図11に示す様々なものが採用可能であるが、本実施形態では、図7の構成、言い換えれば、図11(a)の構成が採用されている。すなわち、無定位系2への入力値(第2制御器4の出力)が、分岐され、スミス補償系5を構成するP(s)へ入力される。スミス補償系5でのP(s)の出力は、2つに分岐し、1つはそのまま積分器へ入力される。もう一つは、むだ時間e-Lsへ入力された後、e-Lsの出力のマイナス値が積分器へと入力される。スミス補償系5の積分器の出力は、無定位系2の出力に加算された上で、第1制御器3の入力へネガティブフィードバックされる。併せて、スミス補償系5の積分器の出力と無定位系2の出力との加算値は、微分された上で、第2制御器4の入力へネガティブフィードバックされる。
 上記した制御はカスケード制御であり、第1制御器3へのフィードバック値は無定位系2の出力そのものであるので、走行試験装置50における位置制御ループ(揺動量θの制御ループ)に対応すると考えられる。第2制御器4へのフィードバック値は無定位系2の出力の微分値であるので、走行試験装置50における速度制御ループ(揺動速度θ’の制御ループ)に対応すると考えられる。
 さらに、図7に示すように、本実施形態の場合、無定位系2に対する外乱dの入力時などに発生する積分誤差を抑制する積分誤差補償系6(積分誤差補償ループ)が設けられている。
 この積分誤差補償系6は、スミス補償実施時であって、外乱や積分誤差がない理想状態での入力から出力までの制御応答特性を有する理想応答器7(理想の制御応答特性)を有している。積分誤差補償系6においては、第1制御器3への入力値が、分岐され、理想応答器7へと入力される。その一方で、無定位系2からの出力は、積分誤差補償系6へフィードバックされ、理想応答器7の出力との差(比較値)が算出される。この比較値は、積分誤差補償系6に備えられた補正器8へ入力され、補正器8の出力は、第2制御器4の入力へ加算されるようになる。補正器8は、入力値に所定のゲイン(ゲイン=1でもよい)を乗算し出力する。なお、補正器8の出力を第1制御器3の入力値に戻す構成を採用することも可能であり、補正器8の出力を第2制御器4の出力値に戻す構成を採用することも可能である。
 ここで、理想応答器7の特性は、式(1)で与えられる。

 ここで、P(s)は、制御対象の積分特性とむだ時間を除いた動特性を示し、C1(s)は第1制御器3の動特性、C2(s)は第2制御器4の動特性を示している。
 図8には、補正器8の出力を第2制御器4の入力へ加算する、本実施形態の制御装置(実施例)を用いた制御結果が示されている。なお、制御条件は、図6の場合と同じである。
 図8から明らかなように、本実施形態の制御装置によれば、スミス補償系5(ハイパスフィルタあり)の制御手法に比して、応答初期におけるオーバーシュートがなくなっていることがわかる。これにより、高応答なステップ応答を実現することが可能となる。加えて、本実施形態の制御装置によれば、問題であった外乱dが印加されたときの積分誤差の影響、つまり図4に示されているようなオフセット誤差Doffも早期になくなり、短時間でほぼゼロとなることがわかる。
 以上述べたように、第1実施形態の制御装置1によれば、スミス補償によるむだ時間の補償系5を設けることで、ゲインアップによる高応答化を実現することができる。その際、スミス補償系5で発生する積分誤差によるオフセット誤差は、別途、積分誤差補償系6を設けることで抑制されるので、外乱などの影響も可及的速やかに抑制することができるようになる。なお、積分誤差補償系6は、スミス補償時の理想的な制御応答特性での出力と実際の出力との差に応じて制御を行う。これにより、スミス補償の後段にハイパスフィルタなどを設ける必要なく、外乱によるオフセット誤差の発生を抑制することが可能となった。
[第2実施形態]
 図9は、本発明の第2実施形態を示したものである。
 図9に示す第2実施形態の制御装置1’と、第1実施形態の制御装置1とは、その制御対象が「むだ時間を有する無定位系」である点が同じである。また、この無定位系2に対して、スミス補償系5が設けられている点も同じである。加えて、無定位系2に対する外乱dの入力時などに発生する積分誤差を抑制する積分誤差補償系6が設けられている点も同じである。この積分誤差補償系6が、理想応答器7、補正器8を有している点も同じである。
 しかしながら、図9に示す第2実施形態の制御装置1’は、制御器を一つしか有さない点で、第1実施形態の制御装置1と大きく異なっている。
 すなわち、第2実施形態の制御装置1’において、無定位系2への入力は制御器9を介して入力される。無定位系2の出力は、スミス補償系5の出力と加算された上で、制御器9の入力へネガティブフィードバックされる。つまり、第2実施形態の制御系は、非カスケード制御系であり、制御器9へのフィードバック値は無定位系2の出力であるので、例えば、モータを制御する制御系などが該当するものとなっている。
 第2実施形態の積分誤差補償系6においては、制御器9への入力値が分岐され、理想応答器7へと入力される。その一方で、無定位系2からの出力は、積分誤差補償系6へフィードバックされ、理想応答器7の出力との差(比較値)が算出される。この比較値は、積分誤差補償系6に備えられた補正器8(ゲイン=1でもよい)へ入力され、補正器8の出力は、制御器9の出力へ加算されるようになる。
 ここで、理想応答器7の特性は、式(2)で与えられる。

 ここで、P(s)は、制御対象の積分器とむだ時間を除いた動特性を示し、C(s)は制御器9の動特性を示している。
 第2実施形態の制御装置1’であっても、むだ時間を有する無定位系2に対し、積分誤差に起因するオフセット誤差を抑制しつつゲインアップによる高応答化を図ることができるようになる。
[変形例]
 ところで、第1実施形態及び第2実施形態で述べたスミス補償系5の具体的な構成は一つに限定されない。
 図11には、スミス補償系5(スミス補償ループ)の様々な構成が示されている。上記した第1実施形態及び第2実施形態では、スミス補償系5として図11(a)の構成を採用したが、図11(b)~図11(e)の構成を採用してもよい。
 例えば、図11(b)は、図11(a)に対して、動特性P(s)とむだ時間e-Lsと積分器1/sの順番を入れ替えたものであり、入力側から、積分器1/s、動特性P(s)、むだ時間e-Lsの順に信号が伝達される。
 図11(c)、図11(e)は、図11(a)を並列型としたものである。つまり、図11(c)においては、信号の伝達経路が2系列あり、一つの系列には、動特性P(s)、むだ時間e-Ls、積分器1/sが配備され、伝達されてきた信号は出力側にマイナス値とされた上で加算される(すなわち減算される)。また、もう一つの系列には、動特性P(s)、積分器1/sが配備され、伝達されてきた信号は出力側にプラス値で加算される。なお、図11(e)は、出力側への加減算の順番においてのみ、図11(c)と異なる。
 図11(d)は、図11(a)に対し、動特性P(s)を並列型としたものである。つまり、図11(d)では、入力信号を分岐させ、一つの系列には、動特性P(s)、むだ時間e-Lsが配備され、もう一つの系列には、動特性P(s)と積分器1/sが配備されるものとなっている。上記した一つの系列におけるむだ時間e-Lsの出力は、もう一つの系列の積分器1/sの入力側でマイナス値とされ合流し(すなわち減算され)、積分器1/sの出力はスミス補償系5の出力となる。
 以上述べた図11(a)~図11(e)のいずれのスミス補償系5を用いたとしても、本発明の奏する作用効果を発現させることができる。
 なお、今回開示された実施形態はすべての点で例示であって制限的なものではないと考えられるべきである。特に、今回開示された実施形態において、明示的に開示されていない事項、例えば、運転条件や操業条件、各種パラメータ、構成物の寸法、重量、体積などは、当業者が通常実施する範囲を逸脱するものではなく、通常の当業者であれば、容易に想定することが可能な値を採用している。
 例えば、本発明の制御技術は、タイヤTの走行試験装置50向けに限定されるものではなく、むだ時間を有する無定位系2で表されるシステムであれば、いずれにも適用可能である。
 本出願は2012年10月17日出願の日本特許出願(特願2012-229924)に基づくものであり、その内容はここに参照として取り込まれる。

Claims (2)

  1.  動特性にむだ時間と積分特性が含まれる、むだ時間を有する無定位系からなる制御対象を制御する制御装置であって、
     前記制御対象の動特性に基づいて、当該制御対象でのむだ時間を補償する、むだ時間補償系と、
     前記むだ時間補償系に起因する積分誤差を補償する、積分誤差補償系と、を有し、
     前記積分誤差補償系は、
     外乱が入力されない状態での前記制御対象の動特性をモデル化した理想応答器と、
     前記理想応答器の出力と前記制御対象の出力との比較値が入力され、入力された比較値を補正した後で前記制御対象へ入力する補正器と、
     を有することを特徴とするむだ時間を有する無定位系の制御装置。
  2.  前記制御対象が、一対のドラム間に架け渡された無端のベルトを有すると共に、当該ベルト上を試験用のタイヤが転動するように構成されたタイヤの走行試験装置であり、
     前記ドラムの揺動量又は揺動力が前記制御対象の入力であり、前記ベルトの位置が前記制御対象の出力であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のむだ時間を有する無定位系の制御装置。
