Description

移動通信システム、ユーザ端末、及びプロセッサ
 本発明は、下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送をサポートする移動通信システム、ユーザ端末、及びプロセッサに関する。
 移動通信システムの標準化プロジェクトである3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project)で仕様が策定されているLTEシステムは、下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送をサポートする(例えば、非特許文献1参照)。
 下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送をFDD方式で実現するために、ユーザ端末は、プリコーダ行列を示すプリコーダ行列情報とランクを示すランク情報との組み合わせを基地局にフィードバックする。ここで、プリコーダ行列は、送信指向性を定めるものであり、ランクは、信号系列数(レイヤ数)を定めるものである。
 基地局は、ユーザ端末毎にフィードバックされるフィードバック情報(プリコーダ行列情報及びランク情報の組み合わせ)に基づくプリコーダ行列及びランクを適用して、下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送を行う。
3GPP技術仕様 「TS 36.300 V11.3.0」 (2012-9)
 現行の仕様では、対象周波数帯(下りリンク全帯域又はサブバンド)についてのフィードバック情報として、特定の種別のプリコーダ行列情報を固定的にフィードバックする旨が規定されている。しかしながら、このようなフィードバック方法では、下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送を適切に実施することが困難である。
 そこで、本発明は、下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送を適切に実施可能とする移動通信システム、ユーザ端末、及びプロセッサを提供する。
 一実施形態によれば、下りリンクの送信指向性を定めるプリコーダ行列を適用して基地局が下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送を行う移動通信システムは、前記基地局にフィードバックするプリコーダ行列情報として、第1のプリコーダ行列情報及び第2のプリコーダ行列情報のうち何れか一方を選択する第1のユーザ端末を有する。前記プリコーダ行列情報は、前記基地局において、当該基地局との接続を確立する第2のユーザ端末への送信に適用する前記プリコーダ行列を決定する際に参照される。前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報は、前記第1のユーザ端末にとって好ましい前記プリコーダ行列を示す。前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報は、前記第1のユーザ端末にとって好ましくない前記プリコーダ行列を示す。

 [実施形態の概要]
 実施形態に係る移動通信システムは、下りリンクの送信指向性を定めるプリコーダ行列を適用して基地局が下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送を行う。移動通信システムは、前記基地局にフィードバックするプリコーダ行列情報として、第1のプリコーダ行列情報及び第2のプリコーダ行列情報のうち何れか一方を選択する第1のユーザ端末を有する。前記プリコーダ行列情報は、前記基地局において、当該基地局との接続を確立する第2のユーザ端末への送信に適用する前記プリコーダ行列を決定する際に参照される。前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報は、前記第1のユーザ端末にとって好ましい前記プリコーダ行列を示す。前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報は、前記第1のユーザ端末にとって好ましくない前記プリコーダ行列を示す。なお、第1のユーザ端末にとって好ましいプリコーダ行列とは、第1のユーザ端末への干渉が小さいプリコーダ行列(すなわち、第1のユーザ端末にヌルが向くプリコーダ行列)である。これに対し、第1のユーザ端末にとって好ましくないプリコーダ行列とは、第1のユーザ端末への干渉が大きいプリコーダ行列(すなわち、第1のユーザ端末にビームが向くプリコーダ行列)である。

 前記第1のユーザ端末は、前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報を前記基地局に複数フィードバックしており、且つ、当該第1のプリコーダ行列情報の数が閾値以上である場合に、前記基地局にフィードバックする前記プリコーダ行列情報を前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報に切り替える。
 ここで、第1のプリコーダ行列情報の数が閾値以上である場合(すなわち、好ましいプリコーダ行列を多数通知する状況)においては、好ましくないプリコーダ行列は逆に少なくなる。よって、そのような状況下では、フィードバックするプリコーダ行列情報を第2のプリコーダ行列情報に切り替える(すなわち、好ましくないプリコーダ行列を通知するよう切り替える)ことにより、フィードバックすべき情報量を少なくすることができる。
 前記第1のユーザ端末は、前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報を前記基地局に複数フィードバックしており、且つ、当該第2のプリコーダ行列情報の数が閾値以上である場合に、前記基地局にフィードバックする前記プリコーダ行列情報を前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報に切り替える。
 ここで、第2のプリコーダ行列情報の数が閾値以上である場合(すなわち、好ましくないプリコーダ行列を多数通知する状況)においては、好ましいプリコーダ行列は逆に少なくなる。よって、そのような状況下では、フィードバックするプリコーダ行列情報を第1のプリコーダ行列情報に切り替える(すなわち、好ましいプリコーダ行列を通知するよう切り替える)ことにより、フィードバックすべき情報量を少なくすることができる。
 前記第1のユーザ端末は、前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報を選択した場合に、前記基地局にフィードバックする前記プリコーダ行列情報が前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報であることを示す第1の識別情報を当該第1のプリコーダ行列情報に付加して前記基地局にフィードバックする。
 これにより、基地局は、フィードバックされたプリコーダ行列情報が第1のプリコーダ行列情報であることを認識できる。
 前記第1のユーザ端末は、前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報を選択した場合に、前記基地局にフィードバックする前記プリコーダ行列情報が前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報であることを示す第2の識別情報を当該第2のプリコーダ行列情報に付加して前記基地局にフィードバックする。
 これにより、基地局は、フィードバックされたプリコーダ行列情報が第1のプリコーダ行列情報であることを認識できる。
 前記基地局は、下りリンクの信号系列数を定めるランクをさらに適用して前記下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送を行う。前記第1のユーザ端末は、複数のランク情報のそれぞれについて、前記基地局にフィードバックする前記プリコーダ行列情報として、前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報及び前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報のうち何れか一方を選択してもよい。
 これにより、第1のプリコーダ行列情報と第2のプリコーダ行列情報とをランク情報毎に使い分けることができる。
 前記第1のユーザ端末が前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報を選択してフィードバックする場合に、前記基地局は、前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報と一致するプリコーダ行列情報をフィードバックする前記第2のユーザ端末に対して、前記第1のユーザ端末と同一の無線リソースを割り当てて、前記一致するプリコーダ行列情報に従って前記第2のユーザ端末への送信を行う。
 これにより、第1のユーザ端末への干渉を抑圧しつつ、第2のユーザ端末への送信を良好に行うことができる。
 前記第1のユーザ端末が前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報を選択してフィードバックする場合に、前記基地局は、前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報と一致しないプリコーダ行列情報をフィードバックする前記第2のユーザ端末に対して、前記第1のユーザ端末と同一の無線リソースを割り当てて、前記一致しないプリコーダ行列情報に従って前記第2のユーザ端末への送信を行う。

 実施形態に係るプロセッサは、下りリンクの送信指向性を定めるプリコーダ行列を適用して基地局が下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送を行う移動通信システムにおけるユーザ端末に備えられる。前記プロセッサは、前記基地局にフィードバックするプリコーダ行列情報として、第1のプリコーダ行列情報及び第2のプリコーダ行列情報のうち何れか一方を選択する。前記プリコーダ行列情報は、前記基地局において、当該基地局との接続を確立する他のユーザ端末への送信に適用する前記プリコーダ行列を決定する際に参照される。前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報は、前記ユーザ端末にとって好ましい前記プリコーダ行列を示す。前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報は、前記ユーザ端末にとって好ましくない前記プリコーダ行列を示す。
 [第1実施形態]
 以下、図面を参照して、3GPP規格に準拠して構成される移動通信システム(LTEシステム)に本発明を適用する場合の一実施形態を説明する。
 (LTEシステム)
 図1は、本実施形態に係るLTEシステムの構成図である。
 図1に示すように、LTEシステムは、複数のUE(User Equipment)100と、E-UTRAN(Evolved-UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network)10と、EPC(Evolved Packet Core)20と、を含む。E-UTRAN10は無線アクセスネットワークに相当し、EPC20はコアネットワークに相当する。
 UE100は、移動型の無線通信装置であり、接続を確立したセル(サービングセル)との無線通信を行う。UE100はユーザ端末に相当する。
 E-UTRAN10は、複数のeNB200(evolved Node-B)を含む。eNB200は基地局に相当する。eNB200は、セルを構成しており、自セルとの接続を確立したUE100との無線通信を行う。
 なお、「セル」は、無線通信エリアの最小単位を示す用語として使用される他に、UE100との無線通信を行う機能を示す用語としても使用される。
 eNB200は、例えば、無線リソース管理(RRM)機能と、ユーザデータのルーティング機能と、モビリティ制御及びスケジューリングのための測定制御機能と、を有する。
 EPC20は、MME(Mobility Management Entity)/S-GW(Serving-Gateway)300と、OAM400(Operation and Maintenance)と、を含む。
 MMEは、UE100に対する各種モビリティ制御等を行うネットワークノードであり、制御局に相当する。S-GWは、ユーザデータの転送制御を行うネットワークノードであり、交換局に相当する。
 eNB200は、X2インターフェイスを介して相互に接続される。また、eNB200は、S1インターフェイスを介してMME/S-GW300と接続される。
 OAM400は、オペレータによって管理されるサーバ装置であり、E-UTRAN10の保守及び監視を行う。
 次に、UE100及びeNB200の構成を説明する。
 図2は、UE100のブロック図である。図2に示すように、UE100は、複数のアンテナ101と、無線送受信機110と、ユーザインターフェイス120と、GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System)受信機130と、バッテリ140と、メモリ150と、プロセッサ160と、を有する。メモリ150及びプロセッサ160は、制御部を構成する。
 UE100は、GNSS受信機130を有していなくてもよい。また、メモリ150をプロセッサ160と一体化し、このセット(すなわち、チップセット)をプロセッサ160’としてもよい。
 アンテナ101及び無線送受信機110は、無線信号の送受信に用いられる。無線送受信機110は、プロセッサ160が出力するベースバンド信号を無線信号に変換してアンテナ101から送信する。また、無線送受信機110は、アンテナ101が受信する無線信号をベースバンド信号に変換してプロセッサ160に出力する。
 ユーザインターフェイス120は、UE100を所持するユーザとのインターフェイスであり、例えば、ディスプレイ、マイク、スピーカ、及び各種ボタンなどを含む。ユーザインターフェイス120は、ユーザからの操作を受け付けて、該操作の内容を示す信号をプロセッサ160に出力する。
 GNSS受信機130は、UE100の地理的な位置を示す位置情報を得るために、GNSS信号を受信して、受信した信号をプロセッサ160に出力する。
 バッテリ140は、UE100の各ブロックに供給すべき電力を蓄える。
 メモリ150は、プロセッサ160によって実行されるプログラムと、プロセッサ160による処理に使用される情報と、を記憶する。
 プロセッサ160は、ベースバンド信号の変調・復調及び符号化・復号などを行うベースバンドプロセッサと、メモリ150に記憶されるプログラムを実行して各種の処理を行うCPU(Central Processing Unit)と、を含む。プロセッサ160は、さらに、音声・映像信号の符号化・復号を行うコーデックを含んでもよい。プロセッサ160は、後述する各種の処理及び各種の通信プロトコルを実行する。
 本実施形態では、プロセッサ160は、無線送受信機110が受信する信号(特に、参照信号)に基づいてチャネル状態情報(CSI)を生成し、当該チャネル状態情報をサービングセル又は隣接セルにフィードバックする。チャネル状態情報は、PMI(Precoding Matrix Indicator)、RI(Rank Indicator)、CQI(Channel Quality Indicator)などを含む。
 なお、メモリ150は、PMIの候補のセット(コードブック)を保持しており、プロセッサ160は、コードブックの中から何れかのPMIを選択してフィードバックする。
 フィードバック対象となる周波数単位(対象周波数帯)としては、「下りリンク全帯域」又は「サブバンド」が規定されており、何れを用いるかはeNB200からの指示に応じて定められる。サブバンドは、下りリンク全帯域を分割した周波数単位であり、複数リソースブロック分の帯域幅を有する。フィードバックされる情報(PMI、RI、CQIなど)の詳細については後述する。
 図3は、eNB200のブロック図である。図3に示すように、eNB200は、複数のアンテナ201と、無線送受信機210と、ネットワークインターフェイス220と、メモリ230と、プロセッサ240と、を有する。メモリ230及びプロセッサ240は、制御部を構成する。
 アンテナ201及び無線送受信機210は、無線信号の送受信に用いられる。無線送受信機210は、プロセッサ240が出力するベースバンド信号を無線信号に変換してアンテナ201から送信する。また、無線送受信機210は、アンテナ201が受信する無線信号をベースバンド信号に変換してプロセッサ240に出力する。
 ネットワークインターフェイス220は、X2インターフェイスを介して隣接eNB200と接続され、S1インターフェイスを介してMME/S-GW300と接続される。ネットワークインターフェイス220は、X2インターフェイス上で行う通信と、S1インターフェイス上で行う通信と、に用いられる。
 メモリ230は、プロセッサ240によって実行されるプログラムと、プロセッサ240による処理に使用される情報と、を記憶する。
 プロセッサ240は、ベースバンド信号の変調・復調及び符号化・復号などを行うベースバンドプロセッサと、メモリ230に記憶されるプログラムを実行して各種の処理を行うCPUと、を含む。プロセッサ240は、後述する各種の処理及び各種の通信プロトコルを実行する。
 本実施形態では、プロセッサ240は、プリコーダ行列及びランクを適用して下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送を行う。図4は、下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送に関連するプロセッサ240のブロック図である。各ブロックの詳細は例えば3GPP TS 36.211に記載されているが、ここではその概要を説明する。
 図4に示すように、物理チャネル上で送信すべき1つ又は2つのコードワードは、スクランブルされ、かつ変調シンボルに変調された後、レイヤマッパ241によって複数のレイヤにマッピングされる。コードワードは、誤り訂正のデータ単位である。ランク(レイヤ数)は、フィードバックされるRIに基づいて定められる。
 プリコーダ242は、プリコーダ行列を用いて、各レイヤの変調シンボルをプリコーディングする。プリコーダ行列は、フィードバックされるPMIに基づいて定められる。プリコーディングされた変調シンボルは、リソースエレメントにマッピングされ、かつ時間領域のOFDM信号に変換されて、各アンテナポートに出力される。
 図5は、LTEシステムにおける無線インターフェイスのプロトコルスタック図である。
 図5に示すように、無線インターフェイスプロトコルは、OSI参照モデルのレイヤ1乃至レイヤ3に区分されており、レイヤ1は物理(PHY)レイヤである。レイヤ2は、MAC(Media Access Control)レイヤと、RLC(Radio Link Control)レイヤと、PDCP(Packet Data Convergence Protocol)レイヤと、を含む。レイヤ3は、RRC(Radio Resource Control)レイヤを含む。
 物理レイヤは、符号化・復号、変調・復調、アンテナマッピング・デマッピング、及びリソースマッピング・デマッピングを行う。UE100の物理レイヤとeNB200の物理レイヤとの間では、物理チャネルを介してデータが伝送される。
 MACレイヤは、データの優先制御、及びハイブリッドARQ(HARQ)による再送処理などを行う。UE100のMACレイヤとeNB200のMACレイヤとの間では、トランスポートチャネルを介してデータが伝送される。eNB200のMACレイヤは、上下リンクのトランスポートフォーマット(トランスポートブロックサイズ、変調・符号化方式など)、及び割当リソースブロックを決定するスケジューラを含む。
 RLCレイヤは、MACレイヤ及び物理レイヤの機能を利用してデータを受信側のRLCレイヤに伝送する。UE100のRLCレイヤとeNB200のRLCレイヤとの間では、論理チャネルを介してデータが伝送される。
 PDCPレイヤは、ヘッダ圧縮・伸張、及び暗号化・復号化を行う。
 RRCレイヤは、制御プレーンでのみ定義される。UE100のRRCレイヤとeNB200のRRCレイヤとの間では、各種設定のための制御メッセージ(RRCメッセージ)が伝送される。RRCレイヤは、無線ベアラの確立、再確立及び解放に応じて、論理チャネル、トランスポートチャネル、及び物理チャネルを制御する。UE100のRRCとeNB200のRRCとの間にRRC接続がある場合、UE100は接続状態(RRC Connected State)であり、そうでない場合、UE100はアイドル状態(RRC Idle State)である。
 RRCレイヤの上位に位置するNAS(Non-Access Stratum)レイヤは、セッション管理及びモビリティ管理などを行う。
 図6は、LTEシステムで使用される無線フレームの構成図である。LTEシステムは、下りリンクにはOFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Access)、上りリンクにはSC-FDMA(Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access)がそれぞれ適用される。
 複信方式としては、FDD(Frequency Division Duplex)方式又はTDD(Time Division Duplex)方式が使用されるが、本実施形態では主としてFDD方式を想定する。
 図6に示すように、無線フレームは、時間方向に並ぶ10個のサブフレームで構成され、各サブフレームは、時間方向に並ぶ2個のスロットで構成される。各サブフレームの長さは1msであり、各スロットの長さは0.5msである。各サブフレームは、周波数方向に複数個のリソースブロック(RB)を含み、時間方向に複数個のシンボルを含む。各シンボルの先頭には、サイクリックプレフィックス(CP)と呼ばれるガード区間が設けられる。リソースブロックは、周波数方向に複数個のサブキャリアを含む。1つのサブキャリア及び1つのシンボルにより構成される無線リソース単位はリソースエレメント(RE)と称される。
 UE100に割り当てられる無線リソースのうち、周波数リソースはリソースブロックにより特定でき、時間リソースはサブフレーム(又はスロット)により特定できる。
 下りリンクにおいて、各サブフレームの先頭数シンボルの区間は、主に物理下りリンク制御チャネル(PDCCH)として使用される制御領域である。また、各サブフレームの残りの区間は、主に物理下りリンク共有チャネル(PDSCH)として使用できる領域である。さらに、各サブフレームには、セル固有参照信号(CRS)などの参照信号が分散して配置される。
 PDCCHは、制御情報を搬送する。制御情報は、例えば、上りリンクSI(Scheduling Information)、下りリンクSI、TPCビットである。上りリンクSIは上りリンクの無線リソースの割当てを示す情報であり、下りリンクSIは、下りリンクの無線リソースの割当てを示す情報である。TPCビットは、上りリンクの送信電力の増減を指示する情報である。
 PDSCHは、制御情報及び/又はユーザデータを搬送する。例えば、下りリンクのデータ領域は、ユーザデータにのみ割当てられてもよく、ユーザデータ及び制御情報が多重されるように割当てられてもよい。
 上りリンクにおいて、各サブフレームにおける周波数方向の両端部は、主に物理上りリンク制御チャネル(PUCCH)として使用される制御領域である。また、各サブフレームにおける周波数方向の中央部は、主に物理上りリンク共有チャネル(PUSCH)として使用できる領域である。
 PUCCHは、制御情報を搬送する。制御情報は、例えば、CQI、PMI、RI、SR(Scheduling Request)、ACK/NACKなどである。
 CQIは、下りリンクの受信状態に基づく、下りリンクで用いるのに好ましい変調及び符号化方式(すなわち、推奨MCS)を示す情報(インデックス)である。
 PMIは、下りリンクで用いるのに好ましいプリコーダ行列を示す情報(インデックス)である。言い換えると、PMIは、当該PMIの送信元のUEに対してビームが向くプリコーダ行列を示す。例えば、UE100は、自身の受信状態が改善されるように、eNB200にフィードバックするPMIを選択する。
 RIは、下りリンクで用いるのに好ましいランクを示す情報(インデックス)である。例えば、UE100は、自身の受信状態に相応しいランクが適用されるように、eNB200にフィードバックするPMIを選択する。
 SRは、上りリンクの無線リソースの割当てを要求する情報である。
 ACK/NACKは、下りリンクの物理チャネル(例えば、PDSCH)を介して送信される信号のデコードに成功したか否かを示す情報である。
 PUSCHは、制御情報及び/又はユーザデータを搬送する物理チャネルである。例えば、上りリンクのデータ領域は、ユーザデータにのみ割当てられてもよく、ユーザデータ及び制御情報が多重されるように割当てられてもよい。
 (第1実施形態に係る動作)
 以下、本実施形態に係る動作について説明する。
 (1)全体動作
 図7及び図8は、本実施形態に係る動作環境を示す図である。図7及び図8において、eNB200-1及びeNB200-2は、互いに隣接するセルを構成する。
 図7に示すように、UE100-1は、eNB200-1のセルとの接続を確立している。すなわち、UE100-1は、eNB200-1のセルをサービングセルとして通信を行う。
 本実施形態では、UE100-1は、eNB200-1及びeNB200-2のそれぞれのセルの境界領域に位置している。このような場合には、通常、UE100-1は、eNB200-2のセルからの干渉の影響を受ける。
 UE100-2は、eNB200-2のセルとの接続を確立している。すなわち、UE100-2は、eNB200-2のセルをサービングセルとして通信を行う。なお、図7ではUE100-2を1つのみ図示しているが、複数のUE100-2がeNB200-2のセルとの接続を確立していてもよい。
 eNB200-1及びeNB200-2は、eNB200-1のセル端に位置するUE100-1のスループットを改善するために、CB(Coordinated Beamforming)-CoMP(Coordinated Multi Point)を行う。CB-CoMPにおいて、UE100-1のサービングセルは「アンカーセル」と称される。
 また、CB-CoMPにおいて、主な干渉源となるeNB200-2は、UE100-1に対して与える干渉の影響を小さくするように送信指向性を調整する。具体的には、eNB200-2は、UE100-1にヌルを向けつつ、UE100-2にビームを向けて、UE100-2への送信を行う。
 CB-CoMPの対象となるUE100-1は、eNB200-1に対する通常のフィードバック(PMI、RI、及びCQI)に加えて、eNB200-2に対する特殊なフィードバックを行う。本実施形態では、UE100-1は、eNB200-2に対して特殊なPMIをフィードバックする。
 通常のPMIは、UE100-1への下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送に適用されるプリコーダ行列を決定するために使用され、かつ、UE100-1にとって好ましいプリコーダ行列(UE100-1にビームが向くプリコーダ行列)を示す情報(インデックス)である。UE100-1は、eNB200-1から受信する参照信号などに基づいて通常のPMIのフィードバックを行う。
 これに対し、特殊なPMIは、UE100-1以外のUE100(例えばUE100-2)への下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送に適用されるプリコーダ行列を決定するために使用され、かつ、UE100-1にとって好ましいプリコーダ行列(すなわち、UE100-1にヌルが向くプリコーダ行列)を示す情報(インデックス)である。このようなPMIは、BC(Best Companion)-PMIと称される。本実施形態において、BC-PMIは、第1のプリコーダ行列情報に相当する。
 UE100-1は、eNB200-2から受信する参照信号などに基づいてBC-PMIのフィードバックを行う。なお、UE100-1は、BC-PMIを、サービングセル(eNB200-1)経由でeNB200-2にフィードバックしてもよく、eNB200-2に直接フィードバックしてもよい。
 本実施形態では、UE100-1は、フィードバック対象となる周波数単位(対象周波数帯)について複数のBC-PMIをフィードバックする。複数のBC-PMIは、例えば、eNB200-2からの干渉の影響が閾値未満のPMI(BC-PMI)である。
 eNB200-2は、UE100-1からフィードバックされた複数のBC-PMIの何れかと一致するPMIをフィードバックする自セル内のUE100-2に対して、UE100-1と同一の無線リソースを割り当てる。なお、eNB200-2は、UE100-1のスケジューリング情報を動的又は準静的にeNB200-1と共有していることを前提としている。そして、eNB200-2は、当該一致するPMIに従ってUE100-2への送信を行う。
 その結果、図8に示すように、eNB200-2は、UE100-1にヌルを向けつつ、UE100-2にビームを向けて、UE100-2への送信を行うことができる。これにより、UE100-1に対する干渉を抑圧し、UE100-1のスループットを改善できる。
 一方、eNB200-2は、UE100-1からフィードバックされた複数のBC-PMIの何れかと一致するPMIをフィードバックする自セル内のUE100-2が存在しない場合には、UE100-1と同一の無線リソースへの割当を行わない、又は一致していないPMIであっても割当を行う、の2通りの動作が考えられる。
 なお、eNB200-1は、UE100-1からフィードバックされた通常のPMIに従ってUE100-1への送信を行う。その結果、eNB200-1は、UE100-1にビームを向けることができる。
 しかしながら、上述したCB-CoMPの動作において、UE100-1がフィードバックするBC-PMIの数が多い場合には、フィードバックすべき情報量が多くなり、無線リソースの消費量が多くなるという問題がある。
 そこで、本実施形態では、UE100-1は、BC-PMIをeNB200-2に複数フィードバックしており、且つ、BC-PMIの数が閾値Tc以上である場合に、eNB200-2にフィードバックするPMIをWC(Worst Companion)-PMIに切り替える。WC-PMIは、UE100-1以外のUE100(例えばUE100-2)への下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送に適用されるプリコーダ行列を決定するために使用され、かつ、UE100-1にとって好ましくないプリコーダ行列(すなわち、UE100-1にビームが向くプリコーダ行列)を示す情報(インデックス)である。本実施形態において、WC-PMIは、第2のプリコーダ行列情報に相当する。
 BC-PMIの数が閾値Tc以上である場合(すなわち、好ましいプリコーダ行列を多数通知する状況)においては、好ましくないプリコーダ行列は逆に少なくなる。よって、そのような状況下では、フィードバックするPMIをWC-PMIに切り替える(すなわち、好ましくないプリコーダ行列を通知するよう切り替える)ことにより、フィードバックすべき情報量を少なくすることができる。
 なお、閾値Tcは、UE100-1に予め設定されていてもよく、eNB200-1又はeNB200-2からUE100-1に設定してもよい。閾値TcがUE100-1に予め設定されている場合、閾値Tcは、例えば全PMI数の1/2の値とすることができる。以下においては、eNB200-1又はeNB200-2がUE100-1に閾値Tcを設定するケースを説明する。
 UE100-1がWC-PMIをフィードバックする場合のeNB200-2の動作は、次のようになる。具体的には、eNB200-2は、フィードバックされるWC-PMIと一致しないPMIをフィードバックするUE100-2に対して、UE100-1と同一の無線リソースを割り当てて、当該一致しないPMIに従ってUE100-2への送信を行う。
 その結果、図8に示すように、eNB200-2は、UE100-1にビームが向かないようにしつつ、UE100-2にビームを向けて、UE100-2への送信を行うことができる。これにより、UE100-1に対する干渉を抑圧し、UE100-1のスループットを改善できる。
 また、本実施形態では、UE100-1は、BC-PMI又はWC-PMIを選択的にフィードバックするため、eNB200-2において、UE100-1からフィードバックされたPMIがBC-PMIであるかWC-PMIであるかを識別できるようにする必要がある。
 よって、UE100-1は、BC-PMIを選択した場合に、eNB200-2にフィードバックするPMIがBC-PMIであることを示す第1の識別情報を当該BC-PMIに付加してeNB200-2にフィードバックする。
 これに対し、UE100-1は、WC-PMIを選択した場合に、eNB200-2にフィードバックするPMIがWC-PMIであることを示す第2の識別情報を当該WC-PMIに付加してeNB200-2にフィードバックする。
 (2)動作フロー
 図9は、本実施形態に係るUE100-1の動作フロー図である。ここでは、サブバンド毎にBC-PMIをフィードバックするのではなく、下りリンク全帯域についてBC-PMIをフィードバックするケースを想定する。
 図9に示すように、ステップS101において、UE100-1は、閾値Tcを示す情報をeNB200-1又はeNB200-2から受信して記憶する。例えば、閾値Tcを示す情報は、システム情報の一部として送信されている。システム情報は、論理チャネルの一種であるBCCHで伝送される。システム情報のうちマスタ情報ブロック(MIB)は、トランスポートチャネルの一種であるBCHにマッピングされる。システム情報のうちシステム情報ブロック(SIB)は、トランスポートチャネルの一種であるDL-SCHにマッピングされる。
 ステップS102において、UE100-1は、eNB200-2から受信する参照信号などに基づいて、予め規定された複数のPMI(コードブック内のPMI)のそれぞれの評価値を計算する。本実施形態では、PMIの評価値は、当該PMIを適用した場合に想定される干渉レベルである。そして、UE100-1は、干渉レベルが低い複数のPMIをBC-PMIとして取得する。ここで取得されたBC-PMIの個数をNbcpmiとする。
 ステップS103において、UE100-1は、Nbcpmiが閾値Tc以上であるか否かを判定する。
 ステップS103の判定結果が「No」である場合、ステップS104において、UE100-1は、ステップS102で取得した複数のBC-PMIをeNB200-2へのフィードバックメッセージに設定する。また、UE100-1は、BC-PMIを識別する第1の識別子として、当該フィードバックメッセージのフラグフィールドに「0」を設定する。さらに、UE100-1は、Nbcpmiの値を当該フィードバックメッセージのデータ長(Length)フィールドに設定する。
 一方、ステップS103の判定結果が「Yes」である場合、ステップS105において、UE100-1は、BC-PMIに代えてWC-PMIを取得する。例えば、UE100-1は、予め規定された複数のPMIの中から、干渉レベルが高い複数のPMIをWC-PMIとして取得する。或いは、UE100-1は、予め規定された複数のPMIのうち、ステップS102で取得したBC-PMIを除いたPMIをWC-PMIとして取得してもよい。ここで取得されたWC-PMIの個数をNpmiとする。
 そして、ステップS106において、UE100-1は、ステップS105で取得したWC-PMIをeNB200-2へのフィードバックメッセージに設定する。また、UE100-1は、WC-PMIを識別する第2の識別子として、当該フィードバックメッセージのフラグフィールドに「1」を設定する。さらに、UE100-1は、Npmiの値を当該フィードバックメッセージのデータ長(Length)フィールドに設定する。
 ステップS107において、UE100-1は、フィードバックメッセージをeNB200-2にフィードバックする。フィードバックメッセージをeNB200-1経由でeNB200-2にフィードバックする場合、UE100-1は、eNB200-2宛てのフィードバックメッセージをeNB200-1に送信する。
 なお、サブバンド毎にBC-PMIをフィードバックするケースでは、ステップS102乃至S106の処理はサブバンド毎に行われることになる。
 図10は、本実施形態に係るフィードバックメッセージのメッセージ構成図である。
 図10に示すように、本実施形態に係るフィードバックメッセージは、フィードバックするPMI(BC-PMI又はWC-PMI)を格納するフィールドに加えて、BC-PMI又はWC-PMIを示すフラグ(B/Wflag)フィールドと、フィードバックするPMI数を示すデータ長(Length)フィールドと、を有する。
 上述したように、本実施形態によれば、eNB200-2にフィードバックするBC-PMIが閾値Tc以上である場合に、WC-PMIに切り替えることにより、フィードバックすべき情報量を少なくすることができる。
 [第2実施形態]
 以下、第2実施形態について、第1実施形態との相違点を主として説明する。
 上述した第1実施形態では、基本的には、UE100-1は、複数のBC-PMIをeNB200-2にフィードバックしていた。しかしながら、eNB200-2の送信指向性はランクの影響を受けるため、ランクも考慮してフィードバックを行うことが望ましい。
 そこで、本実施形態では、UE100-1は、予め規定された複数のRI毎に、BC-PMIをeNB200-2にフィードバックする。すなわち、UE100-1は、RIとBC-PMIとの組み合わせをeNB200-2にフィードバックする。本実施形態において、RIは、ランク情報に相当する。
 eNB200-2に対するフィードバックメッセージは、eNB200-2がUE100-1に対して与える干渉の影響が小さいBC-PMI及びRIの組み合わせを複数含む。なお、BC-PMI及びRIのフィードバックをサブバンド毎に行う設定の場合には、1つのサブバンドについてBC-PMI及びRIの組み合わせを複数含むことになる。
 eNB200-2は、UE100-1からフィードバックされたBC-PMI及びRIの組み合わせの何れかと一致するPMI及びRIをフィードバックする自セル内のUE100-2に対して、UE100-1と同一の無線リソースを割り当てる。そして、eNB200-2は、当該一致するPMI及びRIに従ってUE100-2への送信を行う。
 しかしながら、このようなCB-CoMPの動作において、UE100-1がフィードバックするBC-PMIの数が多い場合には、第1実施形態と同様に、フィードバックすべき情報量が多くなり、無線リソースの消費量が多くなるという問題がある。
 そこで、本実施形態では、UE100-1は、BC-PMIをRI毎にeNB200-2に複数フィードバックしており、且つ、1つのRIについてのBC-PMIの数が閾値Tc以上である場合に、当該RIについてのPMIをWC(Worst Companion)-PMIに切り替える。
 図11は、本実施形態に係るUE100-1の動作フロー図である。ここでは、サブバンド毎にBC-PMIをフィードバックするのではなく、下りリンク全帯域についてBC-PMIをフィードバックするケースを想定する。また、第1実施形態と重複する動作については説明を省略する。
 図11に示すように、ステップS201において、UE100-1は、閾値Tcを示す情報をeNB200-1又はeNB200-2から受信して記憶する。
 ステップS202乃至ステップS206の処理はRI毎に行われる。
 ステップS202において、UE100-1は、eNB200-2から受信する参照信号などに基づいて、干渉レベルが低い複数のPMIをBC-PMIとして取得する。ここで取得されたBC-PMIの個数をNbcpmiとする。
 ステップS203において、UE100-1は、Nbcpmiが閾値Tc以上であるか否かを判定する。
 ステップS203の判定結果が「No」である場合、ステップS204において、UE100-1は、ステップS202で取得した複数のBC-PMIを、対象RIと対応付けてeNB200-2へのフィードバックメッセージに設定する。また、UE100-1は、BC-PMIを識別する第1の識別子として、対象RIと対応付けて当該フィードバックメッセージのフラグフィールドに「0」を設定する。さらに、UE100-1は、Nbcpmiの値を対象RIと対応付けて当該フィードバックメッセージのデータ長(Length)フィールドに設定する。
 一方、ステップS203の判定結果が「Yes」である場合、ステップS205において、UE100-1は、BC-PMIに代えてWC-PMIを取得する。ここで取得されたWC-PMIの個数をNpmiとする。
 そして、ステップS206において、UE100-1は、ステップS205で取得したWC-PMIを、対象RIと対応付けてeNB200-2へのフィードバックメッセージに設定する。また、UE100-1は、WC-PMIを識別する第2の識別子として、対象RIと対応付けて当該フィードバックメッセージのフラグフィールドに「1」を設定する。さらに、UE100-1は、Npmiの値を対象RIと対応付けて当該フィードバックメッセージのデータ長(Length)フィールドに設定する。
 ステップS207において、UE100-1は、フィードバックメッセージをeNB200-2にフィードバックする。
 図12は、本実施形態に係るフィードバックメッセージのメッセージ構成図である。
 図12に示すように、本実施形態に係るフィードバックメッセージは、フィードバックするPMI(BC-PMI又はWC-PMI)を格納するフィールドと、BC-PMI又はWC-PMIを示すフラグ(B/Wflag)フィールドと、フィードバックするPMI数を示すデータ長(Length)フィールドと、をRI毎に有する。図12の例では、RI「0」及び「m」についてはBC-PMIを格納し、RI「1」及び「2」についてはWC-PMIを格納している。
 [その他の実施形態]
 上記のように、本発明は実施形態によって記載したが、この開示の一部をなす論述及び図面はこの発明を限定するものであると理解すべきではない。この開示から当業者には様々な代替実施形態、実施例及び運用技術が明らかとなる。
 上述した実施形態では、BC-PMIのフィードバックを基本として、BC-PMIからWC-PMIへ切り替える動作を説明した。しかしながら、WC-PMIのフィードバックを基本として、WC-PMIからBC-PMIへ切り替える動作であってもよい。この場合、上述した動作フローにおける「BC-PMI」及び「WC-PMI」の関係を入れ替えればよい。つまり、UE100-1は、WC-PMIをeNB200-2に複数フィードバックしており、且つ、当該WC-PMIの数が閾値Tc以上である場合に、eNB200-2にフィードバックするPMIをBC-PMIに切り替える。
 上述した実施形態では、CB-CoMPにおいて、BC-PMI(又はWC-PMI)をフィードバックする動作について説明した。しかしながら、本発明は、CB-CoMPに限らず、MU(Multi User)-MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output)にも適用可能である。
 図13及び図14は、その他の実施形態に係る動作環境を示す図である。
 図13に示すように、UE100-1及びUE100-2は、eNB200のセルとの接続を確立している。すなわち、UE100-1及びUE100-2は、eNB200のセルをサービングセルとして通信を行う。
 eNB200は、周波数利用効率を高めるために、MU-MIMOを行う。具体的には、eNB200は、同一の無線リソースを用いてUE100-1及びUE100-2への送信を行う。
 UE100-1は、eNB200に対する通常のフィードバック(PMI、RI、及びCQI)に加えて、BC-PMIをeNB200にフィードバックする。eNB200は、UE100-1からフィードバックされたBC-PMIと一致するPMIをフィードバックするUE100-2に対して、UE100-1と同一の無線リソースを割り当てる。そして、eNB200は、当該一致するPMIに従ってUE100-2への送信を行う。
 その結果、図14に示すように、eNB200は、UE100-1にヌルを向けつつ、UE100-2にビームを向けて、UE100-2への送信を行うことができる。また、eNB200は、UE100-1からフィードバックされた通常のPMIに従ってUE100-1への送信を行う。その結果、eNB200は、UE100-1にビームを向けることができる。
 このようなMU-MIMOの動作環境においても、上述した動作フローが適用できる。具体的には、フィードバックメッセージのフィードバック先をeNB200(サービングセル)とすればよい。
 米国仮出願第61/723037号(2012年11月6日出願)の全内容が、参照により、本願明細書に組み込まれている。
 本発明は、移動通信分野において有用である。

Claims (12)

  1.  下りリンクの送信指向性を定めるプリコーダ行列を適用して基地局が下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送を行う移動通信システムであって、
     前記基地局にフィードバックするプリコーダ行列情報として、第1のプリコーダ行列情報及び第2のプリコーダ行列情報のうち何れか一方を選択する第1のユーザ端末を有し、
     前記プリコーダ行列情報は、前記基地局において、当該基地局との接続を確立する第2のユーザ端末への送信に適用する前記プリコーダ行列を決定する際に参照され、
     前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報は、前記第1のユーザ端末にとって好ましい前記プリコーダ行列を示し、
     前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報は、前記第1のユーザ端末にとって好ましくない前記プリコーダ行列を示すことを特徴とする移動通信システム。
  2.  前記第1のユーザ端末は、前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報を前記基地局に複数フィードバックしており、且つ、当該第1のプリコーダ行列情報の数が閾値以上である場合に、前記基地局にフィードバックする前記プリコーダ行列情報を前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報に切り替えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  3.  前記第1のユーザ端末は、前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報を前記基地局に複数フィードバックしており、且つ、当該第2のプリコーダ行列情報の数が閾値以上である場合に、前記基地局にフィードバックする前記プリコーダ行列情報を前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報に切り替えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  4.  前記第1のユーザ端末は、前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報を選択した場合に、前記基地局にフィードバックする前記プリコーダ行列情報が前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報であることを示す第1の識別情報を当該第1のプリコーダ行列情報に付加して前記基地局にフィードバックすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  5.  前記第1のユーザ端末は、前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報を選択した場合に、前記基地局にフィードバックする前記プリコーダ行列情報が前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報であることを示す第2の識別情報を当該第2のプリコーダ行列情報に付加して前記基地局にフィードバックすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  6.  前記基地局は、下りリンクの信号系列数を定めるランクをさらに適用して前記下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送を行っており、
     前記第1のユーザ端末は、複数のランク情報のそれぞれについて、前記基地局にフィードバックする前記プリコーダ行列情報として、前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報及び前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報のうち何れか一方を選択することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  7.  前記第1のユーザ端末が前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報を選択してフィードバックする場合に、前記基地局は、前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報と一致するプリコーダ行列情報をフィードバックする前記第2のユーザ端末に対して、前記第1のユーザ端末と同一の無線リソースを割り当てて、前記一致するプリコーダ行列情報に従って前記第2のユーザ端末への送信を行うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  8.  前記第1のユーザ端末が前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報を選択してフィードバックする場合に、前記基地局は、前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報と一致しないプリコーダ行列情報をフィードバックする前記第2のユーザ端末に対して、前記第1のユーザ端末と同一の無線リソースを割り当てて、前記一致しないプリコーダ行列情報に従って前記第2のユーザ端末への送信を行うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  9.  前記基地局は、前記第1のユーザ端末のサービングセルに隣接するセルを構成していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  10.  前記基地局は、前記第1のユーザ端末のサービングセルを構成していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の移動通信システム。
  11.  下りリンクの送信指向性を定めるプリコーダ行列を適用して基地局が下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送を行う移動通信システムにおけるユーザ端末であって、
     前記基地局にフィードバックするプリコーダ行列情報として、第1のプリコーダ行列情報及び第2のプリコーダ行列情報のうち何れか一方を選択する制御部を有し、
     前記プリコーダ行列情報は、前記基地局において、当該基地局との接続を確立する他のユーザ端末への送信に適用する前記プリコーダ行列を決定する際に参照され、
     前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報は、前記ユーザ端末にとって好ましい前記プリコーダ行列を示し、
     前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報は、前記ユーザ端末にとって好ましくない前記プリコーダ行列を示すことを特徴とするユーザ端末。
  12.  下りリンクの送信指向性を定めるプリコーダ行列を適用して基地局が下りリンク・マルチアンテナ伝送を行う移動通信システムにおけるユーザ端末に備えられるプロセッサであって、
     前記プロセッサは、前記基地局にフィードバックするプリコーダ行列情報として、第1のプリコーダ行列情報及び第2のプリコーダ行列情報のうち何れか一方を選択し、
     前記プリコーダ行列情報は、前記基地局において、当該基地局との接続を確立する他のユーザ端末への送信に適用する前記プリコーダ行列を決定する際に参照され、
     前記第1のプリコーダ行列情報は、前記ユーザ端末にとって好ましい前記プリコーダ行列を示し、
     前記第2のプリコーダ行列情報は、前記ユーザ端末にとって好ましくない前記プリコーダ行列を示すことを特徴とするプロセッサ。
