Abstract

An amplitude limiter circuit 120 includes an inductor LI and a shunt circuit 145. The inductor has a first terminal 150 connected to an input node. The shunt circuit is connected to a second terminal 152 of the inductor and also is connected to a low impedance node 146. If an overvoltage condition forms on the input node, the shunt circuit forms an overvoltage current path 160 from the input node, through the inductor, through the shunt circuit and to low impedance node.
