開き部の間隔を必要に応じて調節することができる編地とその編成方法を提供する。 奥側給線口(F1)から供給される第一線材(Y1)を第一編地部(11)に編み込むインレイ編成を行なう(工程α)。手前側給線口(F2)から供給される第二線材(Y2)を第二編地部(12)に編み込むインレイ編成を行ない、開き部(50)の側で第一線材(Y1)に第二線材(Y2)を交差させる(工程β)。第一線材(Y1)を第一編地部(11)に編み込むインレイ編成を行ない、第一線材(Y1)が第二線材(Y2)に絡まって折り返された状態とする(工程γ)。第二線材(Y2)を第二編地部(12)に編み込むインレイ編成を行ない、第一線材(Y1)の折り返し端と、第二線材(Y2)の折り返し端と、を絡める(工程δ)。

Description

編地の編成方法、および編地
 本発明は、離隔する第一編地部と第二編地部との間に形成される開き部を、これら第一編地部および第二編地部を構成する編糸とは異なる編糸で繋ぐ編地の編成方法、およびその編地の編成方法で編成された編地に関する。
 例えば特許文献1には、横編機を用いて離隔する第一編地部と第二編地部とを有する編地を編成するにあたり、両編地部の間に形成される開き部を挿入糸で結束する編地の編成方法が開示されている。

 近年、横編機を用いて多様なニット製品を編成することが行なわれている。例えば、開き部を備える編地において、開き部の間隔を必要に応じて調節することができれば、ニット製品の多様性が増す。しかし、特許文献1に記載の編地の編成方法は、開き部を仮止めするための技術であり、この編地の編成方法で得られた編地では開き部の間隔を必要に応じて自由に調節することができない。特許文献1の編成方法では、開き部の近傍における第一編地部の編目と第二編地部の編目を挿入糸で結束することを、編地のウエール方向に連続して行なっているため、挿入糸が、編地のウエール方向に開き部を縫い合わせるように配置されるからである。
 本発明は上記事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、本発明の目的の一つは、開き部の間隔を必要に応じて調節することができる編地を編成する編地の編成方法を提供することにある。また、本発明の別の目的は、本発明の編地の編成方法で得られた編地を提供することにある。
 本発明の編地の編成方法は、互いに対向する第一針床および第二針床を備える横編機を用いて、第一針床で第一編地部を編成すると共に、第二針床で第二編地部を編成する際、第一編地部と第二編地部の編幅方向の端部に形成される両編地部の開き部を、これら第一編地部および第二編地部を構成する編糸とは異なる線材で繋ぐ編地の編成方法である。この本発明の編地の編成方法は、横編機に備わり、上記線材を供給する複数の給線口(line feeder)のうち、第一針床側に配置されるものを手前側給線口、手前側給線口よりも第二針床側に配置されるものを奥側給線口としたとき、以下の工程α~工程δを行なうことを特徴とする。
[工程α]…開き部側に向かって奥側給線口を移動させ、奥側給線口から供給される第一線材を第一編地部に編み込むインレイ編成を行なう。
[工程β]…開き部側に向かって手前側給線口を移動させ、手前側給線口から供給される第二線材を第二編地部に編み込むインレイ編成を行ない、開き部の側で第一線材に第二線材を交差させる。
[工程γ]…開き部から離れる側に向かって奥側給線口を移動させ、第一線材を第一編地部に編み込むインレイ編成を行ない、第一線材が第二線材に絡まって折り返された状態とする。
[工程δ]…開き部から離れる側に向かって手前側給線口を移動させ、第二線材を第二編地部に編み込むインレイ編成を行ない、第一線材の折り返し端と、第二線材の折り返し端と、を絡める。
 なお、『線材』は、細長く連なった部材であれば何でも良く、代表的には編糸であるが、編糸に限定されるわけではない。また、『線材』として編糸を供給する『給線口』は、『給糸口』と呼ぶ。
 ここで、インレイ編成とは、編目の間を縫う様に線材を編み込む公知の編成である。例えば、第一針床に係止される編目列の一部を、対向する第二針床に目移しし、両針床の間に線材を供給した後、第二針床に目移しした編目を第一針床に戻すインレイ編成を挙げることができる。あるいは、第一針床に係止される編目列の少なくとも一部に割増しを行なった後、第一針床と第二針床の間に線材を供給し、第二針床の編目を第一針床に目移しするインレイ編成を挙げることができる。その他、第一針床で編目列を編成すると共に、第二針床でタックを行なった後、両針床の間に線材を供給し、第二針床のタック目を第一針床に目移しするインレイ編成を挙げることもできる。
 本発明の編地の編成方法として、工程α~工程δを複数回、繰り返す形態を挙げることができる。
 本発明の編地の編成方法として、第一編地部と第二編地部を構成する編糸は熱融着糸を含み、第一線材と第二線材は熱融着糸を含まない形態を挙げることができる。
 本発明の編地は、互いに対向する第一針床および第二針床を備える横編機を用いて編成され、開き部を挟んで離隔する第一編地部および第二編地部を備える編地である。この本発明の編地は、開き部の側を折り返し端として、第一編地部にインレイ編成で編み込まれた第一線材と、開き部の側を折り返し端として、第二編地部にインレイ編成で編み込まれた第二線材と、を備える。そして、本発明の編地は、編地に備わる第一線材の折り返し端と、第二線材の折り返し端とが、開き部の位置で絡まっていることを特徴とする。
 本発明の編地として、第一編地部がシューズアッパーの一方の側面、第二編地部がシューズアッパーの他方の側面である形態を挙げることができる。
 本発明の編地の編成方法によれば、開き部を挟んで離隔された第一編地部と第二編地部とを、第一線材と第二線材によって繋いだ本発明の編地を編成することができる。第一線材と第二線材はそれぞれ、インレイ編成によって第一編地部と第二編地部に編み込まれる。ここで、インレイ編成によって編地部に編み込まれる線材は、編地部の編目に固定されているわけではなく、編地部を構成する編目の間に挟み込まれているだけであり、線材は編地部に対して動き易くなっている(後述する図1の最下段のループ図を参照)。そのため、例えば両線材を開き部から離れる側に引っ張れば、開き部の間隔を小さくすることができる。また、例えば編地部を左右に引けば、開き部の間隔を大きくすることができる。
 工程α~工程δを繰り返す本発明の編地の編成方法によれば、開き部を挟む第一編地部と第二編地部とを強固に繋ぐことができる。また、両編地部の間に形成される開き部の間隔を微調整し易くなる。
 第一編地部と第二編地部に熱融着糸を含ませておけば、本発明の編地を熱処理することで編地を形崩れし難くすることができる。また、第一線材と第二線材に熱融着糸を含ませないことで、両編地部に両線材が固定されることを抑制することができる。詳しくは実施形態3の『その他』の項目を参照のこと。
実施形態1に示す本発明の編地の編成方法に係る編成工程図である。 本発明の編地の編成方法を適用して編成された部分を有するシューズアッパーの概略構成図である。
<実施形態1>
 実施形態1では、少なくとも前後一対の針床を備え、前後の針床間で編目の目移しが可能な2枚ベッド横編機を用いた本発明の編地の編成方法の編成手順の一例を、図1の編成工程図に基づいて説明する。もちろん、使用する横編機は、2枚ベッド横編機に限定されるわけではなく、例えば4枚ベッド横編機であっても良い。
 図1の編成工程図における左欄の「S+数字」は編成工程の番号を示し、右欄には各編成工程における編目の係止状態が示されている。右欄の黒点は前針床FBおよび後針床BBに備わる編針、矢印は編目の目移しの方向を示す。また、右欄の大文字アルファベットA~Fは編針の位置を示す。
 S0には、後針床BBの編針B,D,Fに編地部11が係止され、前針床FBの編針A,C,Eに編地部12が係止された状態が示されている。本実施形態では、後針床BBを第一針床、前針床FBを第二針床とし、編地部11を第一編地部、編地部12を第二編地部として説明を行なう。第一編地部11を構成するベース編糸を給糸する給糸口8は第一針床BB側にあり、第二編地部12を構成するベース編糸を給糸する給糸口9は第一針床BBよりも第二針床FB側にあるため、紙面右側で第一編地部11と第二編地部12とは繋がっていない。つまり、両編地部11,12の編幅方向の端部に、第一編地部11と第二編地部12とを離隔する開き部50が形成されている。なお、前針床FBを第一針床、後針床BBを第二針床と規定しても良く、その場合、『第一』と『第二』の定義などを適宜変更する。
 ここで、図1では詳しく示していないが、紙面左側では第一編地部11と第二編地部12とは繋がっていても繋がっていなくても良い。左側で両編地部11,12が繋がっている編地を編成する場合、例えば給糸口8または給糸口9のいずれかを用いたC字状編成によって両編地部11,12を編成すれば良い。一方、左側で両編地部11,12が繋がっていない場合、即ち左側にも開き部が形成されている場合、その左側の開き部に対しても本発明の編地の編成方法を適用しても良い(詳しくは実施形態2で説明する)。
 上記S0に示す状態から、給糸口8,9とは異なる新たな給糸口(給線口)F1,F2を用いて、S1~S6に示す本発明の編地の編成方法を実施する。給糸口F2は、第一針床BBから見て手前側にあるため、本実施形態では手前側給糸口(手前側給線口)とする。一方、給糸口F1は、第一針床BBから見て手前側給糸口F2よりも第二針床FB側にあるため、本実施形態では奥側給糸口(奥側給線口)とする。
 S1では、次の[a],[b]を順に行なう。
[a]第一針床BBの編針B,Fに係止される第一編地部11の一部の編目を、第二針床FBの編針B,Fに目移しする。
[b]奥側給糸口F1を開き部50側に向かって移動させる。
 上記[a]によって、第一編地部11を構成する複数の編目が、第一針床BBと第二針床FBとに分かれて係止された状態になる。これは第一編地部11に対して行なうインレイ編成の前準備である。
 上記[b]によって、奥側給糸口F1から給糸される線材Y1(本実施形態では第一線材とする)が、第一針床BBと第二針床FBとの間に配置された状態になる。
 S2では、次の[c],[d],[e]を順に行なう。
[c]S1において第二針床FBの編針B,Fに目移しした第一編地部11の編目を、第一針床BBの編針B,Fに戻す。
[d]第二針床FBの編針A,Eに係止される第二編地部12の一部の編目を、第一針床BBの編針A,Eに目移しする。
[e]手前側給糸口F2を開き部50側に向かって移動させる。
 上記S1の[a],[b]、およびS2の[c]によって、第一編地部11に第一線材Y1を編み込むインレイ編成が行なわれる(本発明の工程αに相当)。
 上記[d]によって、第二編地部12を構成する複数の編目が、第二針床FBと第一針床BBとに分かれて係止された状態になる。これは、第二編地部12に対して行なうインレイ編成の前準備である。
 上記[e]によって、手前側給糸口F2から給糸される線材Y2(本実施形態では第二線材とする)が、第二針床FBと第一針床BBとの間に配置された状態になる。このとき、手前側給糸口F2と奥側給糸口F1の針床の対向方向における位置関係に起因して、開き部50の側で第一線材Y1に第二線材Y2が交差する。
 S3では、次の[f],[g]を行なう。
[f]S2において第一針床BBの編針A,Eに目移しした第二編地部12の編目を、第二針床FBの編針A,Eに戻す。
[g]給糸口8,9を用いて両編地部11,12を一段分編成する。
 上記S2の[d],[e]、およびS3の[f]によって、第二編地部12に第二線材Y2を編み込むインレイ編成が行なわれる(本発明の工程βに相当)。
 上記[g]によって、線材Y1,Y2が編み込まれた両編地部11,12の編目列が一段分編み下げられる。なお、両編地部11,12を二段分以上編成しても良いし、[g]を省略しても良い。
 S4では、次の[h],[i]を行なう。
[h]第一針床BBの編針Dに係止される第一編地部11の一部の編目を、第二針床FBの編針Dに目移しする。
[i]奥側給糸口F1を開き部50から離れる側に向かって移動させる。
 上記[h]は、S1の[a]と同様、第一編地部11に対して行なうインレイ編成の前準備である。ここで、[h]では[a]とは異なる編針に係止される編目を目移ししているが、[a]と同じ編針に係止される編目を目移ししても良い。
 上記[i]によって、奥側給糸口F1から給糸される第一線材Y1が、第一針床BBと第二針床FBとの間に配置された状態になる。
 S5では、次の[j],[k],[m]を順に行なう。
[j]S4において第二針床FBの編針Dに目移しした第一編地部11の編目を、第一針床BBの編針Dに戻す。
[k]第二針床FBの編針Cに係止される第二編地部12の一部の編目を、第一針床BBの編針Cに目移しする。
[m]手前側給糸口F2を開き部50から離れる側に向かって移動させる。このとき、第一線材Y1が前記第二線材Y2に絡まって折り返された状態となる。
 上記S4の[h],[i]、およびS5の[j]によって、第一編地部11に第一線材Y1を編み込むインレイ編成が行なわれる(本発明の工程γに相当)。
 上記[k]は、S2の[d]と同様、第二編地部12に対して行なうインレイ編成の前準備である。もちろん、[k]では、第二針床FBの編針A,Eの編目を目移ししても良い。
 上記[m]によって、手前側給糸口F2から給糸される第二線材Y2が、第二針床FBと第一針床BBとの間に配置された状態になる。
 S6では、[n]S5において第一針床BBの編針Cに目移しした第二編地部12の編目を、第二針床FBの編針Cに戻す。
 上記S5の[k],[m]、およびS6の[n]によって、第二編地部12に第二線材Y2を編み込むインレイ編成が行なわれる(本発明の工程δに相当)。このインレイ編成の結果、開き部50の位置で第一線材Y1の折り返し端と、第二線材Y2の折り返し端と、が絡まった状態になる。
 以上説明したS1~S6を経て得られた編地を展開すると、図1の最下段に示すループ図のようになる。この編地は、開き部50を挟んで離隔する第一編地部11および第二編地部12を備えており、第一編地部11と第二編地部12にはそれぞれ、第一線材Y1と第二線材Y2がインレイ編成で編み込まれている。また、第一線材Y1の折り返し端と、第二線材Y2の折り返し端とが、開き部50の位置でX字状に絡まった繋ぎ部が形成され、開き部50の間隔が開き過ぎないように両編地部11,12が繋がれている。
 ここで、線材Y1,Y2は、編地部11,12の編目に固定されているわけではなく、編地部11,12を構成する編目の間に挟み込まれているだけであり、線材Y1,Y2は編地部11,12に対して動き易くなっている。そのため、例えば線材Y1,Y2の一端を開き部50から離れる側に引っ張れば、開き部50の間隔を小さくすることができる。また、例えば編地部11,12を左右に引けば、開き部50の間隔を大きくすることができる。
 さらに、上記線材Y1,Y2は、編地部11,12の編幅方向の伸びを抑える役割も果たす。それは、線材Y1,Y2が編地部11,12の編幅方向に沿って配置されており、編地部11,12を編幅方向に引っ張ったときに作用する応力を線材Y1,Y2が分担するからである。特に、線材Y1,Y2が伸び難い高強度の編糸であれば、伸びの抑制効果を向上させることができる。ここで、線材Y1,Y2は、編地部11,12の編目の間に挟み込まれるだけであるため、細長く連なった部材でありさえすれば良く、その材質・形態は特に限定されない。例えば、材質としては、ウールやシルク、綿、アクリル、レーヨン、ナイロン、ポリエステル、アラミド、ポリプロピレン、炭素繊維、金属(合金を含む)などを挙げることができる。また、形態としては、編糸、紐、テープ、チェーンなどを挙げることができる。例えば、線材Y1,Y2として、金属製のテープを利用することもできる。
<実施形態2>
 実施形態1で説明したS1~S6と同様の編成を繰り返して、紙面右側の開き部50の位置でさらに繋ぎ部を形成することを繰り返しても良い。ここで注意すべきは、右側の開き部50の位置でさらに繋ぎ部を形成するにあたり、左側で第一線材Y1と第二線材Y2とが交差していることである(S6参照)。これら線材Y1,Y2が絡み合わないようにするには、給糸口F2を先に動かす必要がある。つまり、前針床FBを第一針床、後針床BBを第二針床、編地部12を第一編地部、編地部11を第二編地部、給糸口F1を手前側給糸口、給糸口F2を奥側給糸口として、S1~S6と同様の編成を行なう。
 一方、紙面左側にも開き部が形成されており、その左側の開き部でも線材Y1,Y2同士が絡み合う繋ぎ部を形成するのであれば、給糸口F1を先に動かす。その場合、図1のS4~S6を参照して説明した右側の開き部50に対する工程γと工程δがそれぞれ、左側の開き部に対する工程α,工程βを兼ねていると考え、S6に続いて左側の開き部に対する工程γ,工程δを行なう。この左側の開き部に対する工程γと工程δはそれぞれ、右側の開き部に対する工程αと工程βを兼ねる。
 以上説明したように、編幅方向の一端側においてのみ線材Y1,Y2同士が絡み合う繋ぎ部を連続して形成することもできるし、編幅方向の両端部において繋ぎ部を連続して形成することもできる。
<実施形態3>
 実施形態3では、シューズアッパーの編成に、本発明の編地の編成方法を適用した例を図2に基づいて説明する。
 ≪全体構成≫
 図2に示す本実施形態のシューズアッパー1(編地)は、着用者の足の甲側の部分を覆うインステップカバー部3と、着用者の足裏の部分を覆うソールカバー部2と、を備える。インステップカバー部3には、履き口40から爪先に向かって延びるスリット状の開き部50が形成されており、履き口40から足を挿入し易くなっている。この開き部50には通常、靴紐を配置し、開き部50の間隔を調節できるようになっている。これに対して、本実施形態におけるシューズアッパー1では、このスリット状の開き部50の近傍の位置に本発明の編地の編成方法を適用してシューズアッパー1に線材Y1,Y2を編込み、それら線材Y1,Y2を靴紐の代わりとしている。
 ≪シューズアッパーの作製手順≫
 上記シューズアッパー1は、インステップカバー部3とソールカバー部2の右側部分を横編機の一方の針床で、インステップカバー部3とソールカバー部2左側部分を他方の針床で編成することで作製することができる。例えば、シューズアッパー1の爪先側から編成を開始し、スリット状の開き部50の切込み端の位置までシューズアッパー1を編成する。例えば、C字状編成で右側部分と左側部分を編成すると共に、図面の二点鎖線の位置で右側部分と左側部分とを繋ぐと良い。あるいは筒状編成で右側部分と左側部分とを連続して編成しても良い。
 次に、シューズアッパー1の右側部分を第一編地部11(または第二編地部12)、左側部分を第二編地部12(または第一編地部11)と見做し、図1の編成工程図に従って第一線材Y1と第二線材Y2をそれぞれ、第一編地部11と第二編地部12に編み込む。例えば、同一の編糸を用いたC字状編成によって、スリット状の開き部50を有する第一編地部11と第二編地部12とを編成し、その第一編地部11と第二編地部12の編成の合間にインレイ編成を行なう。このインレイ編成によって、線材Y1,Y2はそれぞれ、インステップカバー部3の開き部50の位置、およびインステップカバー部3とソールカバー部2との境界近傍の位置で折り返された状態でインステップカバー部3に編み込まれる。そして、開き部50の位置に配置される線材Y1,Y2の折り返し端同士が絡み合い、開き部50が線材Y1,Y2で繋がれる。なお、線材Y1,Y2は、ソールカバー部2にまで及んでいても良く、さらにソールカバー部2に及ぶ線材Y1,Y2の折り返し端同士がソールカバー部2の位置で絡み合っていても良い。特に後者の場合、インステップカバー部3とソールカバー部2の材質に依らず、両部2,3の周方向の伸びを全周にわたって抑制することができ、シューズアッパー1のフィット性を高めることができる。
 最後に、シューズアッパー1の踵に向かってシューズアッパー1の編成を行ない、シューズアッパー1を完成させる。なお、シューズアッパー1は踵側から編み出して、爪先側で編み終わっても構わない。
 ≪シューズアッパーの効果≫
 上述した編成手順に従って編成されたシューズアッパー1では、第一線材Y1と第二線材Y2とが、開き部50の間隔を微調整する靴紐の役割を果たす。また、両線材Y1,Y2が編み込まれる部分では、両線材Y1,Y2が編地部11,12の編幅方向の伸びを抑制する。この部分の伸びが抑制されると、シューズアッパー1が形崩れし難く、シューズアッパー1のフィット性が向上する。さらに、この両線材Y1,Y2の一部がシューズアッパー1の表面に露出するため、両線材Y1,Y2はシューズアッパー1のデザインの一部を構成する。
 ≪その他≫
 シューズアッパー1の編地部11,12を構成するベース編糸は熱融着糸を含むことが好ましい。そうすることで、シューズアッパー1を編成し終わった後、シューズアッパー1を型にはめて熱処理することで、シューズアッパー1を立体的に成形することができる。但し、ベース編糸に熱融着糸を含ませる場合、線材Y1,Y2には熱融着糸を含ませないことが好ましい。線材Y1,Y2に熱融着糸を含ませると、ベース編糸の熱融着糸と強固に結合し、線材Y1,Y2が編地部11,12に固定される恐れがあるからである。これに対して、線材Y1,Y2に熱融着糸が含まれていなければ、編地部11,12に熱融着糸が含まれていたとしても、線材Y1,Y2が編地部11,12に固定され難い。その結果、線材Y1,Y2による開き部50の間隔調整能を確保することができる。
<実施形態4>
 本発明の編地の編成方法は、実施形態3に示すシューズアッパー1の他に、あらゆるニット製品に適用することができる。例えば、ニットウェアの袖口や、ネックホールの位置に開き部を形成し、その開き部を本発明の編地の編成方法で繋いで、ニットウェアのデザイン性を向上させることができる。

  1.  互いに対向する第一針床および第二針床を備える横編機を用いて、前記第一針床で第一編地部を編成すると共に、前記第二針床で第二編地部を編成する際、
     前記第一編地部と前記第二編地部の編幅方向の端部に形成される両編地部の開き部を、これら第一編地部および第二編地部を構成する編糸とは異なる線材で繋ぐ編地の編成方法において、
     前記横編機に備わり、前記線材を供給する複数の給線口のうち、第一針床側に配置されるものを手前側給線口、前記手前側給線口よりも第二針床側に配置されるものを奥側給線口としたとき、
     前記開き部側に向かって前記奥側給線口を移動させ、前記奥側給線口から供給される第一線材を前記第一編地部に編み込むインレイ編成を行なう工程αと、
     前記開き部側に向かって前記手前側給線口を移動させ、前記手前側給線口から供給される第二線材を前記第二編地部に編み込むインレイ編成を行ない、前記開き部の側で前記第一線材に前記第二線材を交差させる工程βと、
     前記開き部から離れる側に向かって前記奥側給線口を移動させ、前記第一線材を前記第一編地部に編み込むインレイ編成を行ない、前記第一線材が前記第二線材に絡まって折り返された状態とする工程γと、
     前記開き部から離れる側に向かって前記手前側給線口を移動させ、前記第二線材を前記第二編地部に編み込むインレイ編成を行ない、前記第一線材の折り返し端と、前記第二線材の折り返し端と、を絡める工程δと、

  2.  前記工程α~前記工程δを複数回、繰り返すことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の編地の編成方法。
  3.  前記第一編地部と前記第二編地部を構成する編糸は熱融着糸を含み、前記第一線材と前記第二線材は熱融着糸を含まないことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の編地の編成方法。
  4.  互いに対向する第一針床および第二針床を備える横編機を用いて編成され、開き部を挟んで離隔する第一編地部および第二編地部を備える編地において、
     前記開き部の側を折り返し端として、前記第一編地部にインレイ編成で編み込まれた第一線材と、
     前記開き部の側を折り返し端として、前記第二編地部にインレイ編成で編み込まれた第二線材と、
     を備え、
     前記第一線材の折り返し端と、前記第二線材の折り返し端とが、前記開き部の位置で絡まっていることを特徴とする編地。
  5.  前記第一編地部がシューズアッパーの一方の側面、前記第二編地部が前記シューズアッパーの他方の側面であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の編地。
