Abstract

Es wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Phthalsäureanhydrid durch Gasphasenoxidation von aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen offenbart, bei dem man einen Gasstrom, der mindestens einen aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoff und molekularen Sauerstoff umfasst, kontinuierlich über einen thermostatisierten Katalysator leitet und nach Inbetriebnahme des Katalysators die Zufuhr des mindestens einen aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffs zum Katalysator vorübergehend unterbricht.
