 紙葉類取引装置において、紙葉類が投入される投入部と、投入部に投入された紙葉類を収納する収納部と、所定枚数の紙葉類を一時的に格納する一時保留部と、処理内容に応じて投入部と収納部間で紙葉類の搬送を制御する制御部と、を備え、一時保留部は、紙葉類取引装置に着脱可能に設けられ、制御部は、利用者による紙葉類取引の処理においては、一時保留部を投入部に投入された紙葉類が収納部に収納される前に一時的に保留する場所となるよう制御し、収納部から紙葉類を回収する処理においては、一時保留部を収納部の紙葉類の少なくとも一部を回収させる場所となるよう制御し、収納部へ紙葉類を補充する処理においては、一時保留部に予め格納されている紙葉類を収納部に搬送するよう制御する処理を行う。

Description

紙葉類取引装置
 本発明は、紙葉類取引装置の一時保留部への制御処理に関する。
 金融機関には、紙葉類取引装置として、現金取引装置がある。現金取引装置は、顧客が自ら操作するATM(Automatic Tellers Machine)や専ら行員が取り扱うテラー機(テラーズマシンあるいは出納機とも呼ばれる)が設けられる。テラー機は行員のテラーカウンタの下に設置され、ATMやテラー機を利用して、出金・預入金あるいは通帳印字等が行われる。
 現金取引装置の内部には、紙幣や硬貨等の現金を保管する収納庫(カセットとも呼ばれる)が、紙幣等の金種別に設けられる。現金取引装置はその一部に金庫構造を有し、金庫構造の内部にこれら収納庫が設けられ、金庫構造により収納庫が保護される。金庫の扉は当然に施錠される。自動取引装置の金庫の例として、特許文献1を示す。
 そして、より安全を強化する目的で、店舗の担当者では金庫の開錠することができず、金融機関と提携した現金の管理輸送を行う管理会社(警備会社)の担当者に限り開錠することができるよう運営される場合もある。

 現金取引装置への現金(紙幣や硬貨)の補充・回収は、管理会社の担当者が定期的に店舗に訪れて行われる。また、これ以外でも、現金取引装置内部の現金が不足した場合等には、現金取引装置から提携した管理会社に自動的に通知がされるので、その都度、管理会社から担当者が現金の補充等のため店舗に来ることになる。しかし、現金管理を管理会社にまかせている店舗では、行員が紙幣の補充等をすることができないので、担当者が到着して補充等の作業が終わるまでの間は、現金取引装置の使用ができない状態となる。現金取引装置のダウンタイムが長時間続くことは、金融機関にとっては大きな問題である。
 本願発明は、上記課題に鑑み、紙葉類(現金)取引装置の金庫の開錠をしないでも、紙葉類(紙幣)の回収あるいは補充ができる紙葉類取引装置を提供することを目的とする。
 上記目的を達成するために、利用者による紙葉類の取引に使用される紙葉類取引装置において、紙葉類が投入される投入部と、前記投入部に投入された紙葉類を収納する収納部と、所定枚数の紙葉類を一時的に格納する一時保留部と、処理内容に応じて前記投入部と前記収納部間で前記紙葉類の搬送を制御する制御部と、を備え前記一時保留部は、前記紙葉類取引装置に着脱可能に設けられ、前記制御部は、前記利用者による紙葉類取引の処理においては、前記一時保留部を前記投入部に投入された紙葉類が前記収納部に収納される前に一時的に保留する場所となるよう制御し、前記収納部から前記紙葉類を回収する処理においては、前記一時保留部を前記収納部の紙葉類の少なくとも一部を回収させる場所となるよう制御し、前記収納部へ前記紙葉類を補充する処理においては、前記一時保留部に予め格納されている紙葉類を前記収納部に搬送するよう制御する処理を行う。
 本発明によれば、紙葉類(現金)取引装置の金庫の開錠をしないでも、紙葉類(紙幣)の回収あるいは補充ができる紙葉類取引装置を提供することができる。

 以下、図面に従って本発明の実施形態を説明する。なお以下では、ATM(Automatic Tellers Machine)とテラー機(テラーズマシンあるいは出納機とも呼ばれる)をまとめて、紙葉類取引装置、または、現金取引装置とも呼ぶ。ATMとテラー機は、いずれも、ホストコンピュータに接続されて、現金(紙葉類)の入出金、通帳への印刷あるいは振込等の各種取引を自動的に行う機能を備えている。つまり、ATMは利用者が専ら顧客であり、テラー機は利用者が専ら行員である点という点を除けば、ATMとテラー機は、実質同一である。尚、本実施例では、紙幣で説明を行うが、これに限定されるものではない。有価証券等も紙幣と同様で、紙葉類に含まれる。
 図1は、金融機関店舗内に設置されるATM100とテラー機200が接続される全体システムを示す図である。ATM100とテラー機200は、ネットワーク300を介してホストコンピュータ310とともに、現金の搬送や管理を行う管理会社320に接続される。
 図2は、ATM100及びテラー機200の内部の主要構成を示すブロック図である。ATM100とテラー機200は、基本機能が共通し、内部の構成も実質同一であるので、同一のブロック図となる。ATM100を対象としてブロック図の説明を行うが、特にことわりのない場合には、テラー機200も同様であるとする。ATM100の要素についてを100番台の符号で示し、テラー機200の要素についてを200番台の符号で示す。なお、ATM100の説明で「顧客」と表現する場合には、テラー機200では「行員」に相当する。
 ATM100(テラー機200、以下かっこ内はテラー機200番台の符号)は、CPU110(210)、メモリ112(212)、通信I/F114(214)、表示パネル116(216)、カードユニット118(218)、通帳ユニット120(220)、硬貨ユニット122(222)、紙幣ユニット130(230)を有する。
 CPU110は、プログラムを読込んでATM100全体を統括的に制御するものである。CPU110により実行される制御機能を制御部110a(210a)として示す。
 メモリ112は、一時記憶用のメモリと保存記憶用のメモリを備える。一時記憶用のメモリは、例えばRAMで、データやプログラムが一時的に格納されるワーキングエリアである。保存記憶用のメモリは、フラッシュメモリやハードディスクドライブで、例えばCPU110に読込まれる処理プログラムや保存用データが記憶される。また、保存記憶用のメモリには、ATM100内部に収納される各金種の紙幣の枚数が紙幣枚数データとして記憶される。
 通信I/F114は、ネットワーク300を介して、ATM100とホストコンピュータ310や管理会社320等と各種データの通信を行う。ホストコンピュータ310は、銀行ホストセンタに設置される。顧客の入力に応じた出金依頼電文等がATM100からホストコンピュータ310に送信され、対応してホストコンピュータ310から出金許可電文等がATM100に送信される。また、ATM100の作動状況や内部に収納される硬貨や紙幣の数量や状態が管理会社320のコンピュータに送信される。
 表示パネル116は、表示部や操作部を有する。表示部は、例えばLCDであって、制御部110aの指示に基づき、顧客への操作ガイダンス、取引メニューや入力用のテンキー等を表示する。操作部は、表示部に一体的に設けられるタッチパネルであって、顧客からの入力を検出する。操作部は、検出した入力データを制御部110aに通知する。操作部は、タッチパネルではなく、キーボードであってもよい。
 カードユニット118は、顧客によりATM100に挿入された銀行カードを内部に搬送して、磁気ストライプ等への情報の書込みや読取りを行い、処理後に外部へ排出して、返却する。銀行カードがICカードの場合には、ICチップに対して読取り書込みを行う。
 通帳ユニット120は、顧客によりATM100に挿入された銀行通帳を内部に搬送して、通帳の表紙に貼付された磁気ストライプ等への情報の書込みや読取りを行い、処理後に外部へ排出して、返却する。また、通帳ユニット120は、通帳へ取引の来歴情報を印字する。
 硬貨ユニット122は、硬貨を収納する硬貨カセット(不図示)を備え、取引の支払指示に応じて硬貨カセットから所定枚数の硬貨を取出して、硬貨排出口(不図示)に排出する。
 紙幣ユニット130は、収納部から所定枚数の紙幣を取出し排出したり、入金された紙幣を収納部に収納するものである。紙幣ユニット130は、投入排出部132(232)、一時保留部140、鑑別部150(250)、収納部152(252)、リジェクト部154(254)及び搬送部160(260)を有する。一時保留部140は、ATM100とテラー機200で同一であるので、同一符号で示す。詳細は後述する。
 投入排出部132は、顧客が紙幣を投入する投入口であり、かつ顧客に内部から搬送された紙幣を渡すための排出口である。投入排出部132は、紙幣の投入や排出時以外には扉で保護される。また、投入排出部132には紙幣の有無を検出する紙幣検出センサ(不図示)が設けられ、検出結果が制御部110aに通知される。
 一時保留部140は、顧客から投入排出部132へ投入された紙幣を一時的に保管する場所である。エスクロとも呼ばれる。紙幣投入直後に表示パネル116にカウントされた投入金額が表示され、この表示金額に対して顧客からの承認指示があるまでは、顧客の投入した紙幣を保管しておく必要があるからである。顧客とのトラブル防止のためである。一時保留部140は、紙幣を例えば200枚程度まとめて格納することができる。
 また、一時保留部140はATM100に着脱可能に取付けられ、さらに、ATM100とテラー機200のいずれにも着脱可能である。これについては、図3、図12等で詳述する。一時保留部140の内部については、図4で詳述する。
 更に、一時保留部140は、紙幣格納機能を利用して、収納部152で紙幣がフル(一杯)またはフル直前(ニアフル)になった場合に、収納部152から搬送され回収される紙幣を格納したり(紙幣回収処理)、収納部152で紙幣が不足する場合に、収納部152へ補充する紙幣を格納する(紙幣補充処理)ことにも利用される。
 鑑別部150は、紙幣の真偽や紙幣のリサイクル(再利用)の可否を鑑別するものである。投入排出部132から投入された紙幣は、一時保留部140に入る前に鑑別部150により鑑別される。鑑別部150の鑑別結果は、制御部110aに通知される。出金時には、収納部152から顧客に排出される紙幣も鑑別部150で鑑別されてから排出される。破損等した紙幣は、鑑別部150でリサイクル不可と鑑別され、リジェクト部154に搬送される。
 収納部152は、投入された紙幣や排出(出金)するための紙幣を種類別に格納しておくものである。収納部152は、紙幣の種類別に分けられた複数の紙幣カセットからなる。収納部152の各紙幣カセットには、紙幣のフル(満載)を検出するフル検出センサ(不図示)やフル直前を検出するニアフル検出センサ(不図示)が設けられる。また、収納部152に収納されている紙幣の種類別の枚数は、制御部110aによってメモリ112の紙幣枚数データとして管理される。
 リジェクト部154は、リサイクル(再使用)のできない破損した紙幣を格納するものである。リジェクト部154は、金種別にリジェクトカセットを有し、鑑別部150によりリサイクル(再使用)のできないと判断された紙幣が格納される。
 搬送部160は、投入排出部132と収納部152やリジェクト部154等の間で、処理内容に応じたルートで紙幣を搬送するものである。搬送部160は、紙幣を搬送するための搬送路、紙幣を挟んで搬送する駆動ローラや駆動ローラを回転させる駆動モータ等を有する。顧客操作の内容や鑑別部150の鑑別結果に応じて、搬送路の選択や駆動モータの回転が制御部110aにより制御される。また、搬送路の各所には紙幣の通過を検出して、制御部110aに通知するセンサ(不図示)も設けられる。
 管理会社320は、現金取引装置(ATM100やテラー機200)で紙幣が不足ないしはカセットがフルにならないように定期的に担当者を店舗に派遣する。さらに、ATM100やテラー機200は紙幣の不足ないしはフルの発生が検出されると、制御部110aにより必要な情報が通信I/F114を通じて送信される。送信された情報は、ネットワーク300を介して管理会社320に通知される。
 管理会社320は、ATM100やテラー機200から紙幣の不足等の通知を受けた場合にも、現場に担当者を派遣する。担当者は、現金取引装置の後述する金庫部を開けて、収納部152に紙幣の補充や紙幣の回収を行う。
 〔ATM100における紙幣の搬送ルート〕
 図3は、ATM100内部の図で、搬送ルートの全体を説明するための図である。図4から図9は、ATM100で利用者(顧客)による取引中での、紙幣の搬送ルートを説明するための図である。
 図3で向かって右側が顧客が操作する側になる。ATM100の上部の右側面に投入排出部132が設けられ、左側に一時保留部140が設けられる。一時保留部140は、ATM100に着脱できるように、ATM100にネジ、ロックレバーあるいはラッチ等で固定される。ATM100の中央に鑑別部150が設けられる。図3の左上の一時保留部140aは、外された状態を示す。
 ATM100の下部に収納部152が設けられる。収納部152では、金種別に4つの縦長の紙幣カセット(152a、152b、152c、152d)が、右から並列に配置される。収納部152の各紙幣カセットには、紙幣400が積載される。ATM100の下部の左側にリジェクト部154が設けられる。リジェクト部154では、4つのリジェクトカセット(154a、154b、154c、154d)が上から順に配置される。
 ATM100の下段に金庫部170が設けられる。収納部152とリジェクト部154は、金庫部170の内部に設けられる。金庫部170は、鍵付の扉(不図示)により施錠され、内部の収納部152とリジェクト部154を保護する。つまり、金庫部170の鍵を持った者しか、収納部152へ直接紙幣を供給することや収納部152から直接紙幣を回収することはできない。対して、一時保留部140は金庫部170外に設置されているので、金庫部170の鍵を持ってなくとも着脱することができる。
 搬送ルートの全体を説明する。投入排出部132に投入された紙幣を内部に搬送するように、斜め左下に降る搬送路P1、続いて左に進む搬送路P2が設けられる。鑑別部150を通過しながら左に進む搬送路P3が設けられ、搬送路P3の先端で2つに分かれ、右斜め上に進む搬送路P4と、そのまま左に進む搬送路P10が設けられる。搬送路P4の先端で2つに分かれ、真上に進む搬送路P5と、斜め右上に進む搬送路P14が設けられる。
 搬送路P5の先端で2つに分かれ、左右に進む搬送路P6と右に進む搬送路P7が設けられる。搬送路P6を左に進むと一時保留部140に入る。搬送路P7に連続するように、右に進む搬送路P8が設けられる。搬送路P8の先端で2つに分かれ、右斜め下に進む搬送路P9と右斜め上に進む搬送路P15が設けられる。
 左に進む搬送路P10は、金庫部170に入って2つに分かれ、右に進む搬送路P11と真下に向かう搬送路P16が設けられる。搬送路P11は、収納部152の各紙幣カセットの上部を通過して右側まで設けられる。
 搬送路P11の途中から下に進むように、紙幣カセット152dに対応する搬送路P12dが設けられる。同様に、搬送路P11の途中に、紙幣カセット152cに対応する搬送路P12c、紙幣カセット152bに対応する搬送路P12b、紙幣カセット152aに対応する搬送路P12aが、それぞれ設けられる。
 搬送路P11の先端に、真上に進んでから左に曲がる搬送路P13が設けられる。搬送路P13で金庫部170から外に出る。搬送路P13の先端が搬送路P2の後端に連結する。
 下に向かう搬送路P16は、リジェクト部154の4つのリジェクトカセットの右側に沿って設けられる。搬送路P16から、リジェクトカセット154aに対応する搬送路P17aが設けられる。同様に、搬送路P16から、リジェクトカセット154bに対応する搬送路P12b、リジェクトカセット154cに対応する搬送路P17c、リジェクトカセット154dに対応する搬送路P17dが、それぞれ設けられる。
 図4は、一時保留部140及び、一時保留部140とATM100との接続部付近の、搬送構造を模式的に示す図である。ATM100の搬送路P6には、紙幣を搬送するローラ162や、紙幣の通過を検出するセンサ163が適宜配置される。
 一時保留部140は、センサ141、ローラ142a、巻取りフィルムローラ142b、紙幣巻取ローラ143及びフィルム144を有する。センサ141は紙幣の通過を検出するものである。フィルム144は、紙幣を間に挟んで巻き取るものである。フィルム144の両端が巻取りフィルムローラ142bに取付けられる。ローラ162から搬送されてきた紙幣が、2枚のフィルム144の間に挟まれて、紙幣巻取ローラ143に巻き取られる。
 また、一時保留部140は、巻取りフィルムローラ142b等を駆動するための駆動回路145、一時保留部140に格納される紙幣の枚数を記憶するための保留部メモリ146を有する。制御部110aから保留部メモリ146に一時保留部140に格納される紙幣の枚数が記録される。一時保留部140に格納される紙幣の枚数を記憶しておくことによって、例えばATM100からテラー機200に付け替えられた場合に、テラー機200側で保留部メモリ146の枚数データを読むことで、一時保留部140に格納された紙幣枚数を直ちに把握することができる。また、複数の一時保留部140にID番号を割り当ておいて、保留部メモリ146に、対応する一時保留部140のID番号を記憶させておいてもよい。
 また、一時保留部140のセンサ141、駆動回路145及び保留部メモリ146が、例えばコネクタ(不図示)を介して、ATM100本体部の制御部110a等と電気的に接続される。一時保留部140の着脱は制御部110aにより検出され、一時保留部140に格納されている紙幣の枚数が制御部110aにより管理される。また、一時保留部140にID番号が付されている場合には、制御部110aは、装着されている一時保留部140について、そのID番号と装着日時を記憶して管理する。
 図5は、ATM100において、投入された紙幣が一時保留部140に搬送されるルートを示す図である。投入排出部132に顧客により投入された紙幣は、搬送路P1→搬送路P2→搬送路P3で鑑別部150に入る。鑑別部150での鑑別結果で許可された紙幣は、搬送路P3→搬送路P4→搬送路P5→搬送路P6で、一時保留部140に格納される。一時保留部140に格納された状態で、制御部110aにより入金金額が表示パネル116に表示され、顧客の承認操作を待つ。
 図6は、ATM100において、一時保留部140から収納部152に紙幣が搬送されるルートを示す図である。顧客からの承認操作を検出すると制御部110aは、一時保留部140に格納された紙幣を収納部152に搬送する。
 紙幣は、一時保留部140から搬送路P6→搬送路P7→搬送路P8→搬送路P9→搬送路P3→搬送路P10→搬送路P11に搬送され、金種に応じた搬送路(搬送路P12a、搬送路P12b、搬送路P12c又は搬送路P12d)で、収納部152の紙幣カセット(152a、152b、152c又は152d)のいずれかに収納される。
 図7は、ATM100において、投入された紙幣が排除されるルートを示す図である。投入された紙幣が正規の紙幣でない場合(例えば外国の紙幣等)には、顧客に返却される。投入排出部132に顧客により投入された紙幣は、搬送路P1→搬送路P2→搬送路P3で鑑別部150に入る。鑑別部150での鑑別結果で正規の紙幣でないという鑑別結果が制御部110aに通知されると、制御部110aにより、紙幣は、一時保留部140に格納されずに、搬送路P3→搬送路P4→搬送路P14→搬送路P8→搬送路P15で、投入排出部132に戻される。
 図8は、ATM100において、一時保留部140からリジェクト部154に紙幣が搬送されるルートを示す図である。鑑別部150で、リサイクル(再利用)に不適であると鑑別された紙幣はリジェクト部154に格納される。紙幣は、一時保留部140から搬送路P6→搬送路P7→搬送路P8→搬送路P9→搬送路P3で、鑑別部150に入る。
 鑑別部150での鑑別結果でリサイクル不適という鑑別結果が制御部110aに通知されると、制御部110aにより、紙幣は、搬送路P10→搬送路P16に搬送され、金種に応じたいずれかの搬送路(搬送路P17a、搬送路P17b、搬送路P17cまたは搬送路P17d)で、リジェクト部154の4つのリジェクトカセットのいずれかに格納される。
 図9は、ATM100において、収納部152から投入排出部132まで紙幣が搬送されるルートを示す図である。例えば、顧客の出金操作によって紙幣が排出される場合である。収納部152の紙幣カセット(152a、152b、152c又は152d)から、金種に応じた搬送路(搬送路P12a、搬送路P12b、搬送路P12c又は搬送路P12d)で、紙幣が取り出される。紙幣は、搬送路P11→搬送路P13→搬送路P2→搬送路P3→搬送路P4に搬送される。搬送路P4から、紙幣をいったん一時保留部140に格納する場合には、搬送路P5→搬送路P6に進む。一時保留部140に搬送された紙幣は、搬送路P6→搬送路P7→搬送路P8→搬送路P15を進んで投入排出部132まで搬送される。また、搬送路P4から、紙幣を直接投入排出部132まで搬送する場合には、搬送路P14→搬送路P8→搬送路P15を進んで投入排出部132まで搬送される。
 図10は、ATM100において、一時保留部140から収納部152へ紙幣を補充する処理ルートを説明する図である。一時保留部140から収納部152へ紙幣を補充処理することによって、収納部152でいずれかの金種の紙幣が不足した場合に、金庫部170の扉を開錠しなくても、収納部152へ紙幣を補充することができる。なお、ここでは、紙幣カセット152bで紙幣が不足したとする。
 まず、行員が空の一時保留部140を例えばテラー機200に取付けて、テラー機200から紙幣を空の一時保留部140に所定枚数分移動させる。所定枚数分の紙幣401が格納された後、テラー機200の一時保留部140をテラー機200より、取り外す。そして、取り外した一時保留部140をATM100に装着する。
 その後、行員からの指示を受けて、制御部110aは補充処理を開始する。制御部110aにより、一時保留部140に予め格納された紙幣401が、収納部152の対応する金種の紙幣カセットまで搬送される。具体的には、紙幣は、搬送路P6→搬送路P7→搬送路P8→搬送路P9→搬送路P3→搬送路P10→搬送路P11→搬送路P12bを進み、紙幣が紙幣カセット152bに補充される。
 これにより、収納部152の紙幣カセット152bに所定枚数分の紙幣402が補充される。なお、所定枚数分は、一時保留部140のサイズにより異なるが、例えば200枚である。
 図11は、ATM100において、収納部152の紙幣を一時保留部140に回収する処理ルートを説明する図である。収納部152のいずれかの金種の紙幣カセットが、フルあるいはニアフル(フル直前)になった場合には、一時保留部140で収納部152の紙幣の一部を回収する処理を行う。これにより、金庫部170の扉を開錠しなくても、収納部152の紙幣の一部を回収することができる。
 ここでは、紙幣カセット152bでフルになり、フル検出センサにより制御部110aに通知されたとする。制御部110aにより、紙幣カセット152bに収納された紙幣400の一部の紙幣403が、一時保留部140まで搬送される。具体的には、紙幣403は、搬送路P12b→搬送路P11→搬送路P13→搬送路P2→搬送路P3→搬送路P4→搬送路P5→搬送路P6を進み、一時保留部140に格納される。
 これにより、一時保留部140に所定枚数分の紙幣404が回収されて、収納部152の紙幣カセット152bに紙幣403分のスペースが生まれる。ここで、所定枚数分は、一時保留部140のサイズにより異なるが、例えば200枚である。また、回収後にATM100の運用を再開する時には、回収した紙幣404が入った一時保留部140と空の一時保留部140を行員が交換しても良いし、回収した紙幣404が入った一時保留部140をテラー機200に取付けて、紙幣404をテラー機200に移してもよい。また、回収処理は、行員の指示を受けてから、テラー機200の制御部210aが開始するようにしてもよい。
 〔テラー機200における紙幣の搬送ルート〕
 図12は、テラー機200内部の図で、搬送ルートを説明するための図である。図12で向かって右側が行員の操作側になる。テラー機200の上部の右側面に投入排出部232が設けられ、反対側に一時保留部140が設けられる。一時保留部140は、ATM100と同様にテラー機200にも着脱できるように、テラー機200にネジ、ロックレバーあるいはラッチ等で固定される。一時保留部140aは、外された状態を示す。テラー機200の中央に鑑別部250が設けられる。
 テラー機200の下段に収納部252が設けられる。収納部252では、金種別に7つの縦長の紙幣カセット(252a、252b、252c、252d、252e、252f及び252g)が、右から並列に配置される。収納部252の各紙幣カセットには、紙幣400が縦方向に積載される。テラー機200の下部の左側にリジェクト部254が設けられる。リジェクト部254も、4つのリジェクトカセット(254a、254b、254c及び254d)が上から順に配置される。
 テラー機200の下段に金庫部270が設けられる。収納部252とリジェクト部254は、金庫部270の内部に配置される。金庫部270は、鍵付の扉(不図示)により施錠され、内部の収納部252とリジェクト部254を保護する。つまり、金庫部270の鍵を持った者しか、収納部252へ直接紙幣を供給することや収納部252から直接紙幣を回収することはできない。対して、一時保留部140は金庫部270外に設置されているので、金庫部270の鍵を持ってなくとも着脱することができる。また、テラー機200の底部には、キャスタ272が設けられる。
 搬送ルートの全体を説明する。投入排出部232に投入された紙幣を内部に搬送するように、斜め左下に降る搬送路Q1、続いて左に進む搬送路Q2が設けられる。鑑別部250を通過しながら左に進む搬送路Q3が設けられ、搬送路Q3の先端で2つに分かれ、右斜め上に進む搬送路Q4と、そのまま左に進む搬送路Q10が設けられる。搬送路Q4の先端で2つに分かれ、真上に進む搬送路Q5と、斜め右上に進む搬送路Q14が設けられる。
 搬送路Q5の先端で2つに分かれ、左右に進む搬送路Q6と右に進む搬送路Q7が設けられる。搬送路Q6を左に進むと一時保留部140に入る。搬送路Q7に連続するように、右に進む搬送路Q8が設けられる。搬送路Q8の先端で2つに分かれ、右斜め下に進む搬送路Q9と右斜め上に進む搬送路Q15が設けられる。
 左に進む搬送路Q10は、金庫部270に入って2つに分かれ、右に進む搬送路Q11と真下に向かう搬送路Q16が設けられる。搬送路Q11は、収納部252の各紙幣カセットの上部を通過して右側まで設けられる。
 搬送路Q11の途中から下に進むように、紙幣カセット252gに対応する搬送路Q12gが設けられる。同様に、搬送路Q1の途中に、紙幣カセット252fに対応する搬送路Q12f、紙幣カセット252eに対応する搬送路Q12e、紙幣カセット252dに対応する搬送路Q12d、紙幣カセット252cに対応する搬送路Q12c、紙幣カセット252bに対応する搬送路Q12b、紙幣カセット252aに対応する搬送路Q12aがそれぞれ設けられる。
 搬送路Q11の先端に、真上に進んでから左に曲がる搬送路Q13が設けられる。搬送路Q13で金庫部270から外に出る。搬送路Q13の先端が搬送路Q2の後端に連結する。
 下に向かう搬送路Q16は、リジェクト部254の4つのリジェクトカセットの左側に沿って設けられる。搬送路Q16の途中から右に進むように、リジェクトカセット254aに対応する搬送路Q17aが設けられる。同様に、搬送路Q16の途中に、リジェクトカセット254bに対応する搬送路Q17b、リジェクトカセット254cに対応する搬送路Q17c、リジェクトカセット254dに対応する搬送路Q17dが、それぞれ設けられる。
 図13は、テラー機200の通常の取引において、投入された紙幣が一時保留部140を経由して収納部252に搬送されるルートを示す図である。
 投入排出部232に顧客により投入された紙幣は、搬送路Q1→搬送路Q2→搬送路Q3で鑑別部250に入る。鑑別部250での鑑別結果で許可された紙幣は、搬送路Q3→搬送路Q4→搬送路Q5→搬送路Q6で、一時保留部140に格納される。
 一時保留部140に格納された紙幣は、一時保留部140から搬送路Q6→搬送路Q7→搬送路Q8→搬送路Q9→搬送路Q3→搬送路Q10→搬送路Q11に搬送され、金種に応じた搬送路(搬送路Q12a~搬送路Q12g)が選択されて、収納部252のいずれかの紙幣カセット(252a~252g)に収納される。
 図14は、テラー機200において、一時保留部140から収納部252へ紙幣を補充する処理ルートを説明する図である。一時保留部140から収納部252へ紙幣を補充処理することによって、収納部252でいずれかの金種の紙幣が不足した場合に、金庫部270の扉を開錠しなくても、収納部252へ紙幣を補充することができる。図10で説明したATM100での補充処理と同等な処理である。
 収納部252の紙幣カセット252aの金種で紙幣が不足であるとする。一時保留部140に予め格納された所定枚数分の紙幣405が、制御部210aによって、収納部252の紙幣カセット252aまで搬送される。具体的には、紙幣は、搬送路Q6→搬送路Q7→搬送路Q8→搬送路Q9→搬送路Q3→搬送路Q10→搬送路Q11→搬送路Q12aを進み、収納部252の紙幣カセット252aに補充される。
 これにより、収納部252の紙幣カセット252aに所定枚数分の紙幣406が補充される。ここで、所定枚数分は、一時保留部140のサイズにより異なるが、例えば200枚である。一時保留部140へ予め紙幣の格納する必要があるが、図10での説明と同じであるので、省略する。制御部210aは、行員からの指示を受けて、補充処理を行う。
 図15は、テラー機200において、収納部252の紙幣を一時保留部140に回収する処理ルートを説明する図である。収納部252のいずれかの金種の紙幣カセットが、フルあるいはニアフル(フル直前)になった場合には、一時保留部140で収納部252の紙幣の一部を回収する処理を行う。これにより、金庫部170の扉を開錠しなくても、収納部252の紙幣400の一部を回収することができる。図11で説明したATM100での回収処理と同等な処理である。
 紙幣カセット252cでフルになり、フル検出センサにより制御部210aに通知されたとする。制御部210aにより、収納部252の紙幣カセット252cに収納された紙幣400の一部である紙幣407が、一時保留部140まで搬送される。具体的には、紙幣407は、搬送路Q12c→搬送路Q11→搬送路Q13→搬送路Q2→搬送路Q3→搬送路Q4→搬送路Q5→搬送路Q6を進み、一時保留部140に格納される。
 これにより、一時保留部140に所定枚数分の紙幣408が回収されて、収納部252の紙幣カセット252cに紙幣407分のスペースが生まれる。所定枚数分は、一時保留部140のサイズにより異なるが、例えば200枚である。
 そして、回収後に一時保留部140を空にする必要があるが。空にする方法は、図11での説明と同じであるので、省略する。また、回収処理は、行員の指示を受けてから、制御部210aが開始するようにしてもよい。
 〔現金取引装置における紙幣の回収及び補充処理〕
 次に、図16~図19を用いて、現金取引装置(ATM100及びテラー機200)の紙幣の回収及び補充処理の手順につき、従来の運用と本実施形態による処理を対比して説明する。
 なお、前述したようにATM100及びテラー機200での紙幣の取引処理は、実質同一であるので、重複説明を避けるために説明はATM100についてのみ行うが、テラー機200でも同様である。なお以下の処理は、ATM100においては主に制御部110aにより行われ、テラー機200においては主に制御部210aにより行われる。
 図16は、ATM100に紙幣が不足した場合に、管理会社が来て紙幣を補充するまで、現金取引装置を休止する処理の手順を説明するフローチャートである。従来の運用である。
 引出金額が入力されたかを判断する(ステップS10)。ATM100では顧客により、テラー機200では行員により引出金額が入力される。引出金額が入力されるまで(ステップS10NO)、ステップS10を繰り返す。引出金額が入力されたと判断すると(ステップS10YES)、引き出し金額の紙幣があるかをチェックする(ステップS12)。メモリ112に記憶されている紙幣枚数データに基づき、対応する紙幣が収納部152にあるかをチェックする。
 そして、引き出し可能であるかを判断する(ステップS14)。対応する紙幣が収納部152に有り、引き出し可能であると判断すると(ステップS14YES)、引き出し処理を続行する(ステップS16)。
 対応する紙幣が収納部152にない場合には、引き出し可能でないと判断し(ステップS14NO)、不足紙幣の情報をメモリ112に保存し(ステップS18)、紙幣不足である旨の情報を管理会社320に通知する(ステップS20)。そして、ATM100を休止する処理を行う(ステップS22)。休止処理として、例えば、表示パネル116に「現在、取扱いできません」等のメッセージを表示して、顧客からの操作を受け付けないモードにATM100を移行させる。その後、通知を受けた管理会社から担当者が店舗に派遣され、収納部152に紙幣が補充された後に、ATM100での取引を再開することができる。
 図17は、ATM100に紙幣がフルの場合に、管理会社が来て紙幣を回収するまで、現金取引装置を休止する場合の処理を説明するフローチャートである。従来の運用である。
 顧客により紙幣が預入されたかを判断する(ステップS30)。投入排出部132に設けられたセンサの出力により、紙幣の預入を判断する。紙幣が預入されたと判断するまで(ステップS30NO)、ステップS30を繰り返す。紙幣が預入されたと判断すると(ステップS30YES)、預入された紙幣の種類及び枚数をチェックする(ステップS32)。預入された紙幣は鑑別部150で紙幣の種類及び枚数がチェックされる。
 預入された紙幣が収納部152に収納可能かを判断する(ステップS34)。収納可能であるかは、メモリ112に記憶されている現在の各紙幣カセットに格納されている紙幣枚数データや対応する紙幣カセットに設けられたフル/ニアフル検出センサに基づき、判断する。
 預入された紙幣が収納部152に収納可能と判断すると(ステップS34YES)、預入処理を続行し(ステップS36)、預入された紙幣は収納部152の対応する紙幣カセットに収納される。
 預入された紙幣が収納部152に格納可能でないと判断すると(ステップS34NO)、つまり、収納部152の対応する紙幣カセットが満タン(フル)であると判断すると、フル/ニアフルの情報をメモリ112に保存し(ステップS38)、フル/ニアフルの情報を管理会社320に通知する(ステップS40)。そして、ATM100を休止処理する(ステップS42)。休止処理は、図16のステップS22と同様であるので、説明は省略する。その後、通知を受けた管理会社から担当者が店舗に派遣され、収納部152から紙幣が回収された後に、ATM100での取引を再開することができる。
 図18は、ATM100に紙幣が不足した場合に、一時保留部140から収納部152へ紙幣を補充する処理の手順を説明するフローチャートである。図10及び図14で説明した処理で、金庫部170の扉を開錠しなくても、収納部152へ紙幣を補充することができる。
 紙幣を充填した別の一時保留部を用意する(ステップS50)。収納部152の紙幣が不足していることが検出された場合には、行員が、紙幣を充填した別の一時保留部を用意する。充填方法は、図10で説明した通りである。
 そして、紙幣が充填された一時保留部140を行員が交換する(ステップS52)。一時保留部140が、ATM100に装着されたかを判断する(ステップS54)。CPU110が一時保留部140と正常に通信できるかで、ATM100に一時保留部140が装着されたかを判断する。一時保留部140が、正常にATM100に装着されていないと判断すると(ステップS54NO)、警告等を表示して正常にATM100に装着されるまで、ステップS54を繰り返す。
 一時保留部140がATM100に装着されたと判断すると(ステップS54YES)、一時保留部140内に紙幣が所定枚数以上あるかを判断する(ステップS56)。紙幣が所定枚数以上あるかは、保留部メモリ146に記憶された紙幣枚数データにより判断する。一時保留部140内に紙幣が所定枚数以上はないと判断すると(ステップS56NO)、補充処理を中止して終了する。
 一時保留部140内に紙幣が所定枚数以上あると判断すると(ステップS56YES)、補充処理を開始する(ステップS58)。一時保留部140から鑑別部150に紙幣を搬送する(ステップS60)。鑑別部150の鑑別結果により、搬送される紙幣がリサイクル使用可であるかを判断する(ステップS62)。搬送される紙幣がリサイクル使用可でないと判断すると(ステップS62NO)、リサイクル使用可でないと鑑別された紙幣をリジェクト部154に格納する(ステップS64)。
 紙幣がリサイクル使用可であると判断すると(ステップS62YES)、紙幣を収納部152の対応する紙幣カセットに収納する(ステップS66)。ステップS64及びステップS66に続いて,一時保留部140に紙幣残有かを判断する(ステップS68)。一時保留部140に紙幣残有りと判断すると(ステップS68YES)、ステップS58に戻り、一時保留部140から次の紙幣を搬送することを繰り返す。一時保留部140に紙幣残なしと判断すると(ステップS68NO)、一時保留部140に充填された紙幣の収納部152への搬送が完了したとして、この処理を終了する。
 図19は、ATM100に紙幣がフルまたはニアフルの場合に、収納部152から一時保留部140へ紙幣を回収する処理の手順を説明するフローチャートである。図11及び図15で説明した処理で、金庫部170の扉を開錠しなくても、収納部152から紙幣を回収できる処理である。
 収納部152で紙幣がフルまたはニアフルかを判断する(ステップS80)。収納部152の何れかの金種に対応する紙幣カセットでフルまたはニアフルであるかを、フル検出センサやニアフル検出センサの出力で判断する。
 収納部152で紙幣がフルまたはニアフルでないと判断すると(ステップS80NO)、収納部152から紙幣を回収する指示されたかを判断する(ステップS82)。本例では、いずれかの金種でフルやニアフルが検出されれば回収処理を開始し、さらにフルやニアフルの検出がない場合でも、行員からの指示があれば回収処理を行うようにする。
 収納部152から紙幣を回収する指示されていないと判断すると(ステップS82NO)、ステップS80に戻る。収納部152から紙幣を回収する指示されたと判断する場合(ステップS82YES)、または収納部152で紙幣がフルまたはニアフルであると判断する場合(ステップS80YES)には、ステップS84に進む。
 一時保留部140内の紙幣が所定枚数以下であるかを判断する(ステップS84)。一時保留部140内の紙幣は通常は0である。一時保留部140内に紙幣が多数残留していると、収納部152からの回収に支障が出るからである。一時保留部140内の紙幣が所定枚数以下でないと判断すると(ステップS84NO)、回収処理を中止して終了する。
 一時保留部140内の紙幣が所定枚数以下であると判断すると(ステップS84YES)、収納部152から紙幣を回収する処理を開始する(ステップS86)。紙幣が回収される紙幣カセットは、フルまたはニアフル検知された紙幣カセット、あるいはステップS82で、回収指示がされた紙幣カセットである。
 収納部152から鑑別部150に紙幣が搬送される(ステップS88)。鑑別部150の鑑別結果により、搬送される紙幣がリサイクル使用可であるかを判断する(ステップS90)。搬送される紙幣がリサイクル使用可でないと判断すると(ステップS90NO)、リサイクル使用可でないと鑑別された紙幣をリジェクト部154に格納する(ステップS94)。
 紙幣がリサイクル使用可であると判断すると(ステップS90YES)、紙幣を一時保留部140へ格納する(ステップS92)。ステップS92及びステップS94に続いて,一時保留部140の格納枚数がフルかを判断する(ステップS96)。一時保留部140の格納枚数がフルでないと判断すると(ステップS96NO)、ステップS86に戻り、収納部152から次の紙幣を一時保留部140に搬送することを繰り返す。
 一時保留部140の格納枚数がフル、または、回収した紙幣が所定枚数以上であると判断すると(ステップS96YES)、収納部152からの回収を終了する。あわせて、格納された紙幣の種類や枚数を保留部メモリ146に記録する。
 続いて、空の一時保留部140に交換されたかを判断する(ステップS98)。回収紙幣が格納された状態の一時保留部140のままでは、ATM100を通常の取引に使用することができないからである。空の一時保留部140に交換されるまで(ステップS98NO)、ステップS98を繰り返す。空の一時保留部140に交換されたと判断すると(ステップS98YES)、回収が完了したとして、回収処理を終了する。
 以上説明した実施形態により少なくとも奏せられる効果を以下に列挙する。
・紙葉類(紙幣)が不足した場合には一時保留部から紙葉類(紙幣)を補充し、紙葉類(紙幣)が一杯になった場合には一時保留部140に紙葉類(紙幣)を回収することで、行員が金庫の開閉を行うことができない店舗においても、管理会社の担当者の到着を待たずに、暫定的に紙葉類(現金)取引装置をほぼ継続的に運用することができる。また、一時保留部を利用して補充や回収処理を行うので、紙葉類(現金)取引装置のダウンタイムも短時間で済む。
・紙幣の補充や回収用に一時保留部を利用することで、専用の補充回収装置を設ける必要がなく、現金取引装置のサイズの大型化やコストアップを防止することができる。
・一時保留部140を現金取引装置から着脱できる構造にしたことで、予め用意した一時保留部140と入替えて運用することができる。これにより、現金取引装置のダウンタイムをより短時間化できる。さらに、ATM100とテラー機200の一時保留部が互換性を有することで、ATM100とテラー機200間で紙幣の補充や回収が容易にできるようになる。
 以下に本実施形態の変形例を述べる。
・ATM100とテラー機200の両方で着脱可能な一時保留部を備えていることを説明したが、いずれか一方だけでもよい。ATM100とテラー機200のいずれか一方だけで着脱可能な一時保留部を備えていても、補充処理や回収処理は可能である。
・また、補充処理と回収処理は、いずれか一方だけ備えるようにしてもよい。
・上述した説明では、ATM100とテラー機200で一時保留部は、同一であると説明したが、接続部での互換性があればよく、ATM100用の一時保留部とテラー機200の一時保留部の外観や機能が、異なっていてもよい。
・一時保留部に保留部メモリを設けなくてもよい。制御部110aが、センサ141により紙幣有無を判断してもよい。
・また、一時保留部140に開閉可能な蓋を設け、内部に格納された紙幣を取出したり、逆に内部に紙幣を格納できるようにしてもよい。紙幣の回収・補充処理を行う際により便利になる。
 なお、本発明は上述した実施形態そのままに限定されるものではく、実施段階でのその要旨を逸脱しない範囲で構成要素を変形して具体化することができる。また、上記実施形態に開示されている複数の構成要素の適宜な組み合わせにより、種々の発明を形成することができる。例えば、実施形態に示される全構成要素を適宜組み合わせても良い。さらに、異なる実施形態にわたる構成要素を適宜組み合わせてもよい。このような、発明の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲内において種々の変形や応用が可能であることはもちろんである。

Claims (8)

  1.  利用者による紙葉類の取引に使用される紙葉類取引装置において、
     紙葉類が投入される投入部と、
     前記投入部に投入された紙葉類を収納する収納部と、
     所定枚数の紙葉類を一時的に格納する一時保留部と、
     処理内容に応じて前記投入部と前記収納部間で前記紙葉類の搬送を制御する制御部と、を備え
     前記一時保留部は、前記紙葉類取引装置に着脱可能に設けられ、
     前記制御部は、前記利用者による紙葉類取引の処理においては、前記一時保留部を前記投入部に投入された紙葉類が前記収納部に収納される前に一時的に保留する場所となるよう制御し、前記収納部から前記紙葉類を回収する処理においては、前記一時保留部を前記収納部の紙葉類の少なくとも一部を回収させる場所となるよう制御し、前記収納部へ前記紙葉類を補充する処理においては、前記一時保留部に予め格納されている紙葉類を前記収納部に搬送するよう制御する処理を行う
    ことを特徴とする紙葉類取引装置。
  2.  前記収納部を内部に収納し施錠可能な金庫を備え、
    前記一時保留部は、前記金庫の外部に設置される
    ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の紙葉類取引装置。
  3.  前記収納部は、複数のカセットに区分けされ、
    前記複数のカセットには、それぞれ前記紙葉類のフルまたはニアフルを検知する検知部が設けられ、
    前記制御部は、前記検知部による検知に応じて、前記紙葉類を回収する処理を行う
    ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の紙葉類取引装置。
  4.  前記紙葉類取引装置は、前記紙葉類を回収する処理において、前記収納部から所定枚数分の紙葉類を回収する
    ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の紙葉類取引装置。
  5.  前記紙葉類取引装置は、主に顧客との取引に用いられるATMまたは主に行員が取り扱うテラー機での少なくともいずれかである
    ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の紙葉類取引装置。
  6.  前記一時保留部は、前記紙葉類取引装置に着脱可能に設けられ、
     前記紙葉類取引装置は、主に顧客との取引に用いられるATM及び主に行員が取り扱うテラー機の両方に適用され、前記ATM及び前記テラー機にそれぞれ着脱可能に設けられる前記一時保留部は、互換性がある
    ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の紙葉類取引装置。
  7.  請求項6に記載の紙葉類取引装置の運用方法であって、
     前記ATM及び前記テラー機の紙葉類取引装置でいずれか一方の収納部で紙葉類がフルまたはニアフルになった場合に、前記フルまたはニアフルの前記紙葉類取引装置をフルの紙葉類取引装置とし、前記フルの紙葉類取引装置で前記紙葉類の回収処理を行い、前記回収された紙葉類が格納された一時保留部を外し、フルではない前記紙葉類取引装置に装着して、前記一時保留部に格納された紙葉類を前記フルではない紙葉類取引装置の収納部に移動させる処理を行い、
     前記ATM及び前記テラー機の紙葉類取引装置でいずれか一方の収納部で紙葉類が不足した場合に、紙葉類不足ではない前記紙葉類取引装置で前記紙葉類の回収処理を行い、前記回収された紙葉類が格納された一時保留部を外し、紙葉類不足の前記紙葉類取引装置に装着して、前記一時保留部で格納された紙葉類を前記紙葉類不足の紙葉類取引装置の収納部に補充する処理を行う
    ことを特徴とする紙葉類取引装置の運用方法。
  8.  利用者による紙葉類の取引に使用される紙葉類取引装置に設けられ、前記利用者から前記紙葉類取引装置に入金された紙葉類を収納部に収納する前に一時的に保留する一時保留装置において、
     前記紙葉類取引装置には前記収納部を内部に保護する金庫が設けられ、前記一時保留装置は前記金庫外に設置され、かつ前記紙葉類取引装置に対して着脱可能に設けられ、
     前記一時保留装置は、前記収納部で紙葉類がフルまたはニアフルになった場合に、前記収納部から搬送され回収される前記紙葉類を格納し、前記収納部で紙葉類が不足する場合には、前記収納部へ補充する紙葉類を格納する
    ことを特徴とする一時保留装置。
