Claims (6)

前記シートが積載される給紙部と、
前記シートに画像を形成する画像形成部と、
前記給紙部から前記シートを給紙する給紙ローラーと、
前記シートの搬送方向に関して前記給紙ローラーの下流側に設けられ、前記シートの傾きを補正するレジストローラー対と、
前記給紙ローラーと前記レジストローラー対との間に設けられる中間ローラー対と、
前記シートの搬送方向に関して前記給紙ローラーの下流側であり前記中間ローラー対の上流側に位置する第1検出位置における前記シートの有無を検出する第1検出部と、
前記給紙ローラーおよび前記中間ローラー対における線速を第1線速または前記第1線速より速い第2線速に変更する制御部と、
連続して搬送されてくる先行のシートと後続のシートとの間隔の理想値を示す理想シート間隔を記憶する記憶部と
を備え、
前記制御部は、前記第1検出部の検出結果に基づき前記先行のシートと前記後続のシートとのシート間隔を算出し、前記シート間隔および前記理想シート間隔に基づき、前記給紙ローラーにおける給紙ローラー線速および/または前記中間ローラー対における中間ローラー線速を前記第2線速に変更する第2線速期間を決定する、画像形成装置。 - 前記制御部は、前記シート間隔が前記理想シート間隔を超えるか否かによって、前記第2線速期間を設けるか否かを決定する、請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記シート間隔が前記理想シート間隔を超える場合、前記第2線速期間を設けることを決定し、前記シート間隔が前記理想シート間隔を超えない場合、前記第2線速期間を設けないことを決定する、請求項2に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記第1検出部は、前記第1検出位置における前記シートの有無によってONとOFFとを切り替えられ、
