表示物
 本発明は、点光源の有無に応じて多彩な意匠性を有する表示物に関する。また、本発明は、当該表示物を備えたセキュリティ媒体、窓、および照明器具に関する。
 ホログラムとは、波長の等しい2つの光(物体光および参照光)を干渉させて物体光の波面を干渉縞として感光材料に記録したものである。ホログラムに形成されるべき干渉縞のパターンは、現実の物体光と参照光を用いずに、予定した再生照明光の波長や入射方向、並びに、再生されるべき像の形状や位置等に基づき計算機を用いて設計されてもよい。このようにして得られたホログラムは、計算機合成ホログラム(CGH:Computer Generated Hologram)とも呼ばれる。
 これらのホログラムに元の参照光と同一条件の光を当てると干渉縞による回折現象が生じ、元の物体光と同一の波面が再生される。中でもフーリエ変換ホログラムは、点光源からの光照射により入射光が所定のイメージへ変換されて光像として発現するという特異な性質を有することから、新たな用途展開が検討されている(例えば、JP2007-011156AおよびJP2007-041545A参照)。
 ところで、フーリエ変換ホログラムが面光源や線光源からの光の照射を受ける場合、上述のような入射光の変換が面光源や線光源全体にわたって起こる結果、本来は単一像として発現されるべき光像が面光源や線光源の形に沿って重畳してしまい、原画の情報を光像として発現することができない。つまり、点光源またはレーザー光源の無い場所において上記フーリエ変換ホログラムを備えた表示体等を用いる場合、フーリエ変換ホログラム上に光像が発現されないため、観察者は上記光像の情報を認識することができない。
 また、透過型のフーリエ変換ホログラムにおいて上記光像を発現させるためには、フーリエ変換ホログラム自体に高い光透過性が求められる。そのため、フーリエ変換ホログラムにおいて発現される光像と異なり且つ点光源またはレーザー光源を必要とせずに表示可能な意匠等を表示体に付する場合、通常、フーリエ変換ホログラムと重ならない領域に印刷等として設ける必要がある。つまり、フーリエ変換ホログラム上においては、点光源またはレーザー光源からの光照射により発現される光像しか表示することができない。
 このように、点光源またはレーザー光源からの光照射を受けない場合、フーリエ変換ホログラムは意匠性に乏しいものであるという問題がある。
 本件出願人は、エンボスホログラム部と透明印刷部とが重なるように設けられた積層体を既に提案している(特願2013-104397)。この積層体によれば、点光源からの光照射を受ける場合には、エンボスホログラム部により光像が再生され、点光源からの光照射を受けない場合には、透明印刷部による意匠が表示される。したがって、点光源の有無に応じて多彩な意匠性を有するホログラム体とすることができる。しかしながら、この積層体では、2つの意匠性を設けるために、2つの光学機構、すなわちエンボスホログラム部と透明印刷部とをそれぞれ用意する必要があった。
 本発明は、このような点を考慮してなされたものである。本発明の目的は、単純な構成でありながら、点光源またはレーザー光源の有無に応じて多彩な表示性を有する表示物、ならびに当該表示物を備えたセキュリティ媒体、窓、および照明器具を提供することにある。
 本発明による表示物は、

 本発明によれば、単純な構成でありながら、点光源またはレーザー光源の有無に応じて多彩な意匠性を有することができる。また、本発明のセキュリティ媒体によれば、極めて高いセキュリティ性を確保することができる。

 以下に、添付の図面を参照して、本発明の実施の形態を詳細に説明する。なお、本明細書に添付する図面においては、図示の理解のしやすさの便宜上、適宜縮尺および縦横の寸法比等を、実物のそれらから変更し誇張してある。

 図1(a)~(c)および図2に示すように、本実施の形態による表示物10は、透明基材11と、透明基材11上に設けられた複数(図視された例では、4つ)の表示領域12、13a~13cと、を備えている。
 このうち透明基材11は、複数の表示領域12、13a~13cを支持するためのものである。ここで、透明基材11における「透明」とは、「半透明」を含むものであり、点光源からの光を透過させることが可能な程度の透明性を有することをいう。
 透明基材11は、可視光領域における透過率(以下、光透過率と称する場合がある)が、高いものほど好ましく、具体的には、例えば、光透過率が80%以上であることが好ましく、中でも90%以上であることがより好ましい。透明基材11の光透過率を上述の範囲内とすることにより、各表示領域12、13a~13cまで光を十分に透過させることができ、各表示領域12、13a~13cが表示する表示対象が視認されやすくなるからである。なお、本明細書において「光透過率」とは、JIS K7361-1により測定した値をいう。
 また、透明基材11は、ヘイズ値が低いものほど好ましく、具体的には、例えば、ヘイズ値が0.01%~5%の範囲内にあるものが好ましく、中でも0.01%~3%の範囲内であるものが好ましく、特に0.01%~1.5%の範囲内であるものが好ましい。透明基材11のヘイズ値を上述の範囲内とすることにより、視認性を阻害すること無く、各表示領域12、13a~13cにおける表示対象の表示が可能となるからである。なお、本明細書において「ヘイズ値」とは、JIS K7136に準拠して測定した値をいう。
 透明基材11の材料としては、上述の光透過率およびヘイズ値を示すものであれば特に限定されるものではなく、例えばポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリカーボネート、アクリル樹脂、シクロオレフィン樹脂、ポリエステル樹脂、ポリスチレン樹脂、アクリルスチレン樹脂等の樹脂フィルム、石英硝子、パイレックス(登録商標)、合成石英板等のガラスを用いることができる。中でも、透明基材11としては、軽量かつ破損等の危険性が少ないという点から、樹脂フィルムを用いることが好ましく、複屈折性の面からポリカーボネートが最適である。
 透明基材11は、難燃剤を含んでいてもよい。照明器具等の難燃性が求められる用途においても本実施の形態による表示物10を用いることができるからである。難燃剤としては、例えば、リン系難燃剤、窒素系難燃剤、金属塩系難燃剤、水酸化物系難燃剤、アンチモン系難燃剤等の無機系難燃剤、シリコーン系難燃剤等の任意の難燃剤を用いることができる。なお、難燃剤の添加量については、透明基材11が所望の光透過性およびヘイズ値を示すことが可能な量であればよく、適宜設定することができる。
 また、透明基材11は、紫外線吸収剤、熱線吸収剤等を含むものであってもよい。紫外線および熱線等が当たることにより表示領域12、13a~13cの劣化が生じることを抑制するとともに、本実施の形態による表示物10を紫外線吸収フィルタや熱線カットフィルタ等として用いることができるからである。
 透明基材11の膜厚としては、表示領域12、13a~13c等を支持するための剛性および強度を有することが可能な厚さであればよく、例えば0.005mm~5mm程度であることが好ましく、中でも0.02mm~1mmの範囲内であることが好ましい。また、透明基材11の形状は、特に限定されるものではなく、表示物10の使用形態に応じて適宜選択することができる。
 透明基材11は、他の層との密着性を向上させるために、例えば表面にコロナ処理等が行われていてもよい。
 次に、表示領域12、13a~13cの構造について説明する。以下の説明では、各表示領域12、13a~13cを、第1~第4表示領域12、13a~13cと呼称することがある。
 図1(a)に示すように、複数の表示領域12、13a~13cのうち互いに隣り合う表示領域は、平均色相、平均明度、および平均彩度のうち少なくとも1つが異なっており、複数の表示領域12、13a~13cの組み合わせで第1表示対象21が形成されるようになっている。
 ここで、各表示領域12、13a~13cにおける平均色相、平均明度、および平均彩度は、厳密には、色彩計または分光測色計を用いて、対象となる表示領域内における全ての点について色相、明度、および彩度を調べてその平均値を算出することになる。ただし、実際的には、調査すべき対象(色相、明度、および彩度)の全体的な傾向を反映し得ると期待される面積を持つ一区画内において、調査すべき対象のばらつきの程度を考慮して適当と考えられる数を調べてその平均値を算出することによって特定することができる。例えば、対象となる1つの表示領域12、13a~13cにおいて30mm×30mmの領域内に含まれる30箇所を色彩計または分光測色計により測定して平均を算出することにより、当該表示領域12、13a~13cの平均色相、平均明度、および平均彩度を特定することができる。
 互いに隣り合う表示領域における平均色相、平均明度、または平均彩度の差は、観察者が互いに隣り合う表示領域を区別して視認できる程度であればよく、表示すべき第1表示対象21の内容に応じて適宜決定することができる。具体的には、例えば、JIS Z8781-4:2013に規定されたL表色系における色差ΔE abが2以上異なる色とすることができる。
 図示された例では、第1~第4表示領域12、13a~13cの組み合わせで、人の顔のイラストを表す第1表示対象21が形成されるようになっている。より詳しくは、第1表示領域12は、円形状を有しており、平均色相は黄色である。第1表示領域12は、第1表示対象21において、人の顔の輪郭に対応している。第2表示領域13aおよび第3表示領域13bは、第1表示領域12よりも小さい円形状を有しており、平均色相は赤色である。第2表示領域13aおよび第3表示領域13bは、第1表示領域12の内側に左右に並んで配置されており、第1表示対象21において、人の顔の左右の目に対応している。第4表示領域13cは、楕円形状を有しており、平均色相は赤色である。第4表示領域13cは、第1表示領域12の内側であって第2表示領域13aおよび第3表示領域13bの下方に左右に延びるように配置されており、第1表示対象21において、人の顔の口に対応している。
 なお、複数の表示領域12、13a~13cの組み合わせで形成される第1表示対象21の内容としては、特に限定されるものではなく、例えば、文字、記号、マーク、イラスト、キャラクター、写真等の絵柄、会社名、商品名、セールスポイント、キャッチコピー、取扱説明等の各種文字情報等を挙げることができる。
 また、表示領域12、13a~13cの数は、特に限定されるものではないが、表示領域12、13a~13cの数が大きいほど第1表示対象21として複雑な意匠を表示することができるため、表示領域12、13a~13cの数は、3つ以上であることが好ましい。
 図1(b)及び図1(c)に示すように、少なくとも1つの表示領域(図示された例では、全ての表示領域12、13a~13c)は、点光源から入射する光を第2表示対象へ変換するフーリエ変換ホログラム20R、20Yを含んでいる。
 本実施の形態では、フーリエ変換ホログラム20R、20Yは、計算機合成ホログラム(CGH)であり、第2表示対象の原画の画像データをもとに形成される2値以上(2値、4値、8値、…)に多値化されたフーリエ変換像を、縦横方向に所望の範囲まで複数個配列させたときの、フーリエ変換像のパターンに相当するものである。
 第2表示対象の内容としては、特に限定されるものではなく、例えば、文字、記号、マーク、イラスト、キャラクター、写真等の絵柄、会社名、商品名、セールスポイント、キャッチコピー、取扱説明等の各種文字情報等を挙げることができる。
 本実施の形態では、フーリエ変換ホログラム20R、20Yは、透過型の振幅型ホログラムである。すなわち、フーリエ変換ホログラム20R、20Yには、干渉縞の明暗の強度分布が濃淡の変化として記録されており、光の透過率の変化によって回折を生じさせ、第2表示対象をなす再生像を形成するようになっている。
 フーリエ変換ホログラム20R、20Yの材料としては、たとえば、感光性樹脂と着色剤とを含むカラーレジスト材料を用いることができる。このカラーレジスト材料は、光透過率が透明基材11の光透過率より低くなっており、透明基材11上におけるカラーレジスト材料の有無に応じて濃淡の変化が生じるようになっている。カラーレジスト材料11は、光透過率がゼロ、すなわち不透明であってもよい。
 感光性樹脂としては、例えば、アクリル系樹脂、ポリウレターン系樹脂、ポリエステル系樹脂、フッ素系樹脂、シリコーン系樹脂、エポキシ系樹脂、ポリオレフィン系樹脂、メラミン樹脂、塩化ビニル-酢酸ビニル共重合体等が挙げられる。また、着色剤としては、例えば、無機顔料および有機顔料等の顔料、酸性染料、直接染料、分散染料、油溶性染料、含金属油溶性染料、および昇華性色素等の染料等が挙げられる。
 カラーレジスト材料は、難燃剤を含んでいてもよい。照明器具等の難燃性が求められる用途においても本実施の形態による表示物10を用いることができるからである。難燃剤の種類については、上述の透明基材11で用いられる難燃剤と同じであり、説明を省略する。なお、難燃剤の添加量については、フーリエ変換ホログラム20R、20Yの光学特性を損なわない量であればよく、適宜設定することができる。
 上記表示領域12、13a~13cの膜厚としては特に限定されず、例えば0.1μm~50μm程度とすることができる。
 次に、図5および図6を参照して、このような構成からなる表示物10の作成方法の一例を説明する。
 まず、図5(a)に示すように、第2表示対象22の原画を用意する。図示された例では、第2表示対象22として、星形のマークが用いられる。
 次に、図5(b)に示すように、原画のフーリエ変換像20を、計算機を用いたFFT(Fast Fourier Transform)等の計算により作成する。図示された例では、フーリエ変換像は2値化されたフーリエ変換像であるが、2値より大きい値(4値、8値、…)に多値化されたフーリエ変換像であってもよい。また、図示された例では、フーリエ変換像において、隣り合う干渉縞の中心間距離(ピッチ)に対する1本の干渉縞の幅の比が、50%に設定されているが、50%より小さく設定されていてもよいし、50%より大きく設定されていてもよい。窓や照明器具等の光透過性が求められる用途においては、隣り合う干渉縞の中心間距離(ピッチ)に対する1本の干渉縞の幅の比が小さいほど、表示領域の平均明度が大きくなるため、好ましい。
 次に、図5(c)に示すように、作成されたフーリエ変換像20を用いて、平均色相、平均明度、および平均彩度のうち少なくとも1つが異なる表示領域12、13a~13cの組ごとに異なるフォトマスク41、42を形成する。図示された例では、第1表示領域12用のフォトマスク41として、第1表示領域12に対応する領域41Pにフーリエ変換像20からなる干渉縞パターンが縦横方向に複数個配列され、その他の領域は一様に開口されたフォトマスクを作成する。また、第2~第4表示領域13a~13c用のフォトマスク42として、第2表示領域13a~13cに対応する領域42Pにフーリエ変換像20からなる干渉縞パターンが縦横方向に複数個配列され、その他の領域は一様に開口されたフォトマスクを作成する。
 次に、図6(a)に示すように、透明基材11上に、黄色の着色剤を含むポジ型のカラーレジスト材料14Yを塗布する。
 次に、図6(b)に示すように、第1表示領域12用のフォトマスク41を透明基材11上のカラーレジスト材料14Yと対向するように配置し、当該フォトマスク41を介して紫外線を照射してカラーレジスト材料14Yを露光する。
 次に、図6(c)に示すように、カラーレジスト材料14Yのうち紫外線により露光された部分を現像液に溶解させて除去した後、透明基材11上に残ったカラーレジスト14Yを加熱して硬化させる。これにより、フーリエ変換ホログラム20Yを含む第1表示領域12が形成される。
 次に、図6(d)に示すように、透明基材11上に、赤色の着色剤を含むポジ型のカラーレジスト材料14Rを塗布する。
 次に、図6(e)に示すように、第2~第4表示領域13a~13c用のフォトマスク42を透明基材11上のカラーレジスト材料14Rと対向するように配置し、当該フォトマスク42を介して紫外線を照射してカラーレジスト材料14Rを露光する。
 次に、図6(f)に示すように、カラーレジスト材料14Rのうち紫外線により露光された部分を現像液に溶解させて除去した後、透明基材11上に残ったカラーレジスト材料14Rを加熱して硬化させる。これにより、フーリエ変換ホログラム20Rを含む第2~第4表示領域13a~13cが形成される。
 このようにして、図1(a)~(c)および図2に示すような表示物10を得ることができる。
 次に、図3および図4を参照して、本実施の形態の作用について説明する。
 図3は、面光源31からの光を用いて表示物10が表示する第1表示対象21を説明するための図である。図4Aは、点光源32からの光を用いて表示物10が表示する第2表示対象22を説明するための図である。図4Bは、レーザー光源33からの光を用いて表示物10が表示する第2表示対象22を説明するための図である。
 図3に示すように、観察者35が蛍光灯等の面光源31からの光照射を受けた表示物10を観察する場合、複数の表示領域12、13a~13cの組み合わせで形成される巨視的な(表示領域全体と同じスケールの)第1表示対象21を視認することができる。この時、各表示領域12、13a~13cに含まれるフーリエ変換ホログラム20R、20Yにおいては、面光源の各点から出射したそれぞれの光に対して第2表示対象22への変換が起こることから、第2表示対象22の光像が面光源の形状全体にわたって重畳され、非光像となる。このため、表示物10上には第2表示対象22の光像が発現されず、観察者35は微視的な(各表示領域より小さいスケールの)第2表示対象22を視認することができない。
 一方、図4Aに示すように、観察者35がLED光源等の点光源32からの光照射を受けた表示物10を観察する場合、1つの表示領域12、13a~13cに含まれるフーリエ変換ホログラム20R、20Yにおける入射光の変換により表示物10上に第2表示対象22の光像が発現され、観察者は微視的な第2表示対象22を視認することができる。
 また、図4Bに示すように、観察者35がレーザー光源33からの光照射を受けた表示物10の透過光を観察する場合、1つの表示領域12、13a~13cに含まれるフーリエ変換ホログラム20R、20Yにおける入射光の変換により、その透過光の照射面上に第2表示対象22の光像が発現され、観察者は微視的な第2表示対象22を視認することができる。
 以上のように本実施の形態によれば、複数の表示領域12、13a~13cの組み合わせで第1表示対象21が形成されるようになっており、少なくとも1つの表示領域12、13a~13cは、点光源32またはレーザー光源33から入射する光を第2表示対象22へ変換するフーリエ変換ホログラム20R、20Yを含んでいる。したがって、1組の表示領域12、13a~13cでありながら、点光源32またはレーザー光源33の無い場所においては巨視的な第1表示対象21を表示し、点光源32またはレーザー光源33が有る場所においては微視的な第2表示対象22を表示することができる。これにより、単純な構成でありながら、点光源32またはレーザー光源33の有無に応じて多彩な意匠性を有することができる。
 なお、上述した本実施の形態に対して様々な変更を加えることが可能である。以下、図面を参照しながら、変形例について説明する。以下の説明および以下の説明で用いる図面では、上述した本実施の形態と同様に構成され得る部分について、上述の実施の形態における対応する部分に対して用いた符号と同一の符号を用いることとし、重複する説明を省略する。また、上述した実施の形態において得られる作用効果が変形例においても得られることが明らかである場合、その説明を省略することもある。
 図1(a)~(c)に示す例では、互いに隣り合う表示領域において、フーリエ変換ホログラム20R、20Yをなす材料自体の色相、明度、または彩度が異なることで、隣り合う表示領域の平均色相、平均明度、または平均明度が異なるように構成されていたが、これに限定されない。例えば、図7(a)~(c)に示すように、互いに隣り合う表示領域において、フーリエ変換ホログラム20B、20Fをなす材料自体の色相、明度、および彩度は同一でありながら、隣り合う干渉縞の中心間距離(ピッチ)に対する1本の干渉縞の幅の比が異なることで、隣り合う表示領域の平均明度が異なるように構成されていてもよい。具体的には、例えば、図7(b)に示すフーリエ変換ホログラム20Bでは、隣り合う干渉縞の中心間距離(ピッチ)に対する1本の干渉縞の幅の比が50%より大きくされており、これにより第2~第4表示領域13a~13cの平均明度が低減されている。一方、図7(c)に示すフーリエ変換ホログラム20Fでは、隣り合う干渉縞の中心間距離(ピッチ)に対する1本の干渉縞の幅の比が50%より小さくされており、これにより第1表示領域12の平均明度が増大されている。この場合、互いに隣り合う表示領域の色相は、同じであってもよいし、異なっていてもよい。
 図7(a)~(c)に示すような態様によっても、上記実施の形態と同様の作用効果が得られる。
 また、上記実施の形態の干渉縞パターンでは、透明基材11上におけるカラーレジスト材料の有無に応じて濃淡の変化(透過率の変化)が生じるようになっていたが、これに限定されず、カラーレジスト材料の濃度や厚みの違いにより濃淡の変化(透過率の変化)が生じるようになっていてもよい。
 また、上記実施の形態では、フーリエ変換ホログラム20R、20Y、20B、20Fは、透過型ホログラムであったが、これに限定されず、反射型ホログラムであってもよい。この場合、図8に示すように、天井照明や太陽光等の拡散光のもとで表示物10を観察すると、複数の表示領域12、13a~13cの組み合わせで形成される巨視的な第1表示対象21を視認することができる。一方、図9に示すように、レーザー光源33からの光照射を受けた表示物10の反射光を観察すると、1つの表示領域12、13a~13cに含まれるフーリエ変換ホログラム20R、20Yにおける入射光の変換により表示物10上に第2表示対象22の光像が発現され、観察者は微視的な第2表示対象22を視認することができる。
 次に、上記実施の形態による表示物10の応用例について説明する。
 図10は、上記実施の形態の表示物10を備えたセキュリティ媒体51の一例を示している。ここで、セキュリティ媒体51とは、高いセキュリティの確保が求められる情報記憶媒体を意味し、たとえば、パスポートや免許証等のID証、キャッシュカードやクレジットカード等のカード媒体等が含まれる。
 図10に示す例では、セキュリティ媒体51は、パスポート等のID証であり、上記実施の形態による表示物10を含んでいる。この表示物10は、第1表示対象21および第2表示対象22として、ID証の持ち主の顔写真を表示するようになっている。
 図10に示すセキュリティ媒体51では、天井照明や太陽光等の拡散光のもとで表示物10を観察する場合、観察者は、複数の表示領域の組み合わせで表示される第1表示対象21を視認することができる。
 一方、レーザー光源33からレーザー光Lを表示物10に照射する場合、表示領域に含まれるフーリエ変換ホログラムがレーザー光Lを第2表示対象22へ変換する。したがって、観察者は、第2表示対象22の光像を視認することができる。また、LED等の点光源と観察者との間にセキュリティ媒体51を配置し、セキュリティ媒体51に含まれる表示物10を透かして点光源を観察する場合も、観察者は点光源からの照射光により表示物10が表示する第2表示対象22を視認することができる。
 このように、セキュリティ媒体51を観察する観察者は、点光源またはレーザー光源の有無に応じて第1表示対象21および第2表示対象22をそれぞれ視認することができる。したがって、観察者は、第1表示対象21および第2表示対象22の対応関係を確認することで、顔写真の偽造等の被害を防止することが可能であり、特にID証の場合には、セキュリティ性の高い本人確認を行うことができる。また、第1表示対象21の表示と第2表示対象22の表示とを同一の干渉縞により表現しているため、書き換えが困難である(たとえば、第1表示対象21を偽造しても、第2表示対象22の表示を伴わないことになる)。したがって、極めて高いセキュリティ性を確保することができる。
 図11(a)および図11(b)は、上記実施の形態の表示物10を備えた窓52の一例を示している。
 図11(a)および図11(b)に示す窓52は、ステンドグラスであり、上記実施の形態による表示物10を含んでいる。この表示物10は、第1表示対象21として植物の絵柄を表示し、第2表示対象として顔のイラストを表示するようになっている。
 図11(a)に示すように、窓52を日中に屋内から観察する観察者35は、太陽光からの照射光により表示物10が表示する第1表示対象21を視認することができる。
 一方、図11(b)に示すように、窓52を夜間に屋内から観察する観察者35は、星が点光源として機能することで、星からの照射光により表示物10が表示する第2表示対象22を視認することができる。また、図示は省略するが、屋内から屋外を観察する場合には、星以外にも夜景や街灯、車のライトなどの屋外の点光源からの照射光によっても、第2表示対象22を視認することができる。また、屋外から屋内を観察する場合には、LED照明やキャンドル等の点光源からの照射光によっても、第2表示対象22を視認することができる。
 このように、窓52を観察する観察者は点光源の有無に応じて第1表示対象21および第2表示対象22を視認することができる。したがって、観察者は、電力等のエネルギーを消費することなく、時間の経過に応じて多彩な意匠を楽しむことができる。
 図12(a)および図12(b)は、上記実施の形態の表示物10を備えた照明器具53の一例を示している。
 図12(a)および図12(b)に示す照明器具53は、卓上ランプであり、上記実施の形態による表示物10を含んでいる。この表示物10は、照明器具53のランプシェードに設けられており、第1表示対象21として植物の絵柄を表示し、第2表示対象22として星のマークを表示するようになっている。
 また、この照明器具53では、ランプシェードの内側に、蛍光灯等の拡散光源(大きさを持つ光源)とLED等の点光源とが配置されており、互いにスイッチで切り替えて点灯できるようになっている。
 図12(a)に示すように、照明器具53において拡散光源を点灯する場合、観察者は拡散光源からの照射光により表示物10が表示する第1表示対象21を視認することができる。
 一方、図12(b)に示すように、照明器具53において点光源を点灯する場合、観察者は点光源からの照射光により表示物10が表示する第2表示対象22を視認することができる。
 このように、観察者は点光源の有無に応じて第1表示対象21および第2表示対象22を視認することができる。したがって、観察者は、1つの照明器具53でありながらスイッチを切り替えることで、任意のタイミングに多彩な意匠を楽しむことができる。
 なお、上述した個々の実施の形態により開示する発明が限定されるものではない。各実施の形態は、処理内容を矛盾させない範囲で適宜組み合わせることが可能である。

Claims (6)

  1.  複数の表示領域を備え、
     互いに隣り合う表示領域は、平均色相、平均明度、および平均彩度のうち少なくとも1つが異なり、前記複数の表示領域の組み合わせで第1表示対象が形成されるようになっており、
     少なくとも1つの表示領域は、点光源またはレーザー光源から入射する光を第2表示対象へ変換するフーリエ変換ホログラムを含む
    ことを特徴とする表示物。
  2.  前記フーリエ変換ホログラムは、振幅型ホログラムである
    ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示物。
  3.  前記表示領域の数は、3つ以上である
    ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の表示物。
  4.  請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の表示物
    を備えたことを特徴とするセキュリティ媒体。
  5.  請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の表示物
    を備えたことを特徴とする窓。
  6.  請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の表示物
    を備えたことを特徴とする照明器具。
