Description

A method of extracting gas from gas shale deposit and a device for extracting gas from gas shale deposit
The object of the invention is a method of extracting gas from gas shale deposit and a device for extracting gas from gas shale deposit.
In gas shales and therebetween there are small reservoirs of liquid shale gas and kerogen in solid state in shale rocks. The process of decomposition of kerogen into light hydrocarbons and synthetic oil at temperatures ranging from 300 to 550°C and its output is a function of temperature. The amount of combustion of hydrocarbons is proportional to the amount of oxygen consumed in combustion. At the same time it is known that gas shales contain oxygen in their chemical composition and its amount is different for different deposits. During combustion in a closed deposit, that is, at constant deposit volume there is an increase in gas temperature and pressure in the deposit. With increasing speed of the process we are dealing with the increase in unburned hydrocarbons and thus with the increase in the amount of lost hydrocarbons. There are several known methods for extracting shale gas from gas shales. The most common methods include: extraction of shale gas to the surface and the production of shale gas therefrom the method of high pressure hydraulic shale deposit crushing. These methods are either expensive, inefficient or pollute the environment. Patent application No. P.391500 discloses a meinoa οτ ootaining hydrocarbons from the underground deposits, by partial combustion of hydrocarbons within a deposit while adjusting the amount of air supplied to the deposit through the use of a unit for obtaining hydrocarbons from subterranean deposits formed by performing a primary and side corridor in the deposit, provided with a pipe with the valves, one of which is used to supply air and is provided with a device for initiating ignition, the other is for discharging gaseous products, and the third is for draining liquid products or discharging of both liquid and gaseous products of the process is performed using a single pipeline.
The aim of the invention is to provide a solution that allows the extraction of gas from gas shale deposit through a single pipeline.
A method of extracting gas from the gas shaie deposit by the partial combustion of hydrocarbons in the deposit in air, according to the invention is characterized in that the gas extraction process is carried out with the use of a pipeline through which a flammable material is provided, it is lit up, resulting in the ignition of the gas shaie deposit. After ignition of the gas shaie deposit the process of controlling the amount of air, used for the partial combustion of hydrocarbons in a shaie gas deposit, and for discharging gas from the gas shale deposit to the surface of the earth or the supply shaft, supplied to the pipeline, begins. The amount of air used to support partial combustion of hydrocarbons in a gas shale deposit supplied to the pipeline and the amount of gas discharged from the gas shale deposit is controlled alternately by means of the valve installed on a pipeline. The amount of air supplied through the pipeline during the partial combustion of hydrocarbons in a gas shale deposit is adjusted so as to ensure the conversion of hydrocarbons in the so!id state into the liquid and gaseous state, and hydrocarbons in the liquid state into a gaseous state. Increase in gas pressure within the gas shale deposit under partial combustion of hydrocarbons with no air supply to the pipeline is used for discharging gas from the gas shale deposit. A device for extracting gas from the gas shale deposit in ine rarm οτ a pipeline according to the invention is characterized in that the pipeline is provided with an airtight hatch with an air-tight cover through which a combustible material is provided to burn hydrocarbons within the gas shale deposit, with the pipe supplying air under pressure and with the pipe discharging gases from the shale gas deposit, resulting from the combustion of hydrocarbons. The air supply pipe is provided with a valve regulating the amount and pressure of air supplied, and the gas discharge pipe is provided with a pressure gauge valve. The pipeline is also equipped with the openings for the combustion of hydrocarbons within a shale gas deposit, and supplying air under pressure to the shale gas deposit and discharging gas from the gas shale deposit.
The advantage of the method of extracting gas from the shale gas deposit and the device for extracting gas from the shale gas deposit, according to the invention, is a significant reduction in capital expenditures.
The object of the invention will be described in the embodiment shown in the accompanying drawings presenting the cross section of a device for extracting gas from the gas shale deposit.
According to the method of extracting gas from the shale gas deposit first an air-tight hatch 9 opens, through which a combustible material is provided to the area comprising a gas shale deposit 2 and is lit up. After ignition of gas shale deposit 2 airtight hatch 9 is closed with an air-tight cover 8. With a closed hatch 9, and closed pressure gauge valve 7 and open valve 5 air is pumped into the pipeline 3 through the pipe 4 in order to support partial combustion of gas shale deposit_2. Then the valve 5_is closed. After closing the valve 5 the process of partial combustion of the deposit 2 is continued with simultaneous increase in gas pressure within the deposit 2. Once the experimentally selected value of the gas pressure within the deposit 2 is selected the pressure gauge valve 7 is opened and the gases, including shale gas obtained with a method according to the invention, are discharged through the pipe 6. The pressure gauge valve 7 remains open until the pressure inside the deposit reaches a value slightly greater than atmospheric pressure, men ine pressure gauge valve 7 is closed and the next cycle beginning with the opening of the valve ^starts.
A device for extracting gas from the gas shale deposit in the form of a pipeline according to the invention has a form of a pipeline 3 equipped with an air-tight hatch 9 with an air-tight cover 8, through which a combustible material is provided to burn hydrocarbons within the gas shale deposit 2, with the pipe 4 supplying air under pressure equipped with a valve 5 regulating the amount and pressure of air supplied, with the pipeiine 6 discharging gases from the shale gas deposit 2 resulting from the combustion of hydrocarbons equipped with a pressure gauge valve 7 and with the openings 13 for the combustion of hydrocarbons within a shale gas deposit 2 and supplying air under pressure to the shale gas deposit and discharging gas from the gas shale deposit 2 through the pipe 6.
