Definitions
- An aspect and embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for manufacturing a composite member and a composite member.
- Patent Document 1 discloses a method for manufacturing a composite member.
- the resin member is directly joined to the metal member by insert molding, whereby a composite molded member in which the metal member and the resin member are combined is manufactured.
- the joint surface of the metal member is roughened by physical treatment or chemical treatment.
- Patent document 2 similarly discloses the manufacturing method of a composite member.
- the joint surface of the metal member is roughened by laser processing.
- Patent Documents 1 and 2 describe that the bonding strength between the metal member and the resin member is improved by roughening the bonding surface of the metal member.
- Patent Documents 1 and 2 do not disclose the influence of the shape of the joining surface of the metal member on the joining strength. In this technical field, a method for producing a composite member having excellent bonding strength and a composite member having excellent bonding strength are desired.
- a method for manufacturing a composite member according to one aspect of the present invention is a method for manufacturing a composite member in which a base material and a resin member are joined, and a surface treatment for forming micro-order or nano-order unevenness on the surface of the base material And a bonding step of directly bonding the resin member to the surface of the base material having irregularities formed by the surface treatment step by injection molding.
- micro-order or nano-order concavities and convexities are formed on the surface of the base material that is directly bonded to the resin member.
- the resin member enters and cures the micro-order or nano-order unevenness, a stronger anchor effect is produced compared to the case of the milli-order unevenness. For this reason, this manufacturing method can manufacture the composite member which has the outstanding joint strength.
- the arithmetic average inclination of the surface of the base material on which the irregularities are formed in the surface treatment step may be 0.17 to 0.50.
- Arithmetic mean slope is obtained by dividing the measurement curve horizontally at regular intervals, calculating the absolute value of the slope (angle) of the line connecting the start points of the measurement curve in each section, and averaging the absolute values in each section It is.
- the root mean square slope of the surface of the base material on which the irregularities are formed in the surface treatment step may be 0.27 to 0.60.
- the root mean square slope is calculated by the root mean square slope of all points in the defined region.
- the root mean square slope is the square root of the value obtained by dividing the measurement curve horizontally at regular intervals and calculating the average of the square values of the slopes (angles) of the line segments connecting the start points of the measurement curves in each section.
- the surface treatment step may be a step of forming irregularities by blasting.
- the surface structure of the joint surface can be controlled quantitatively, and surface processing can be performed at low cost and in a short time.
- the spray pressure in blasting may be 0.5 to 2.0 MPa.
- the particle diameter of the spray material in the blasting process may be 30 to 300 ⁇ m.
- optimal micro-order or nano-order irregularities can be formed on the surface of the base material.
- the material of the base material may be metal, glass, ceramics or resin.
- the material of the base material may be metal, glass, ceramics or resin.
- a composite member according to another aspect of the present invention includes a base material having micro-order or nano-order unevenness on the surface thereof, and a resin member that is in direct contact with the surface of the base material.
- this composite member since the resin member is in direct contact with the micro-order or nano-order unevenness on the surface of the base material, a stronger anchor effect is produced as compared with a base material having millimeter-order unevenness. For this reason, this composite member has excellent bonding strength.
- the arithmetic average slope of the surface of the base material may be 0.17 to 0.50. Further, the root mean square slope of the surface of the base material may be 0.27 to 0.60.
- the composite member has excellent bonding strength because the unevenness in which the parameter indicating how much the inclination is in the narrow space is formed.
- the material of the base material may be metal, glass, ceramics or resin. Since the micro-order or nano-order unevenness is formed on the surface of the base material, the composite member has excellent bonding strength even if the base material is any of metal, glass, ceramics, and resin.
- a method for producing a composite member having excellent bonding strength and a composite member having excellent bonding strength are provided.
- FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of a composite member taken along line II-II in FIG.
- FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of a composite member taken along line II-II in FIG.
- FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the mold along the line VII-VII in FIG. 6.
- joining strength is described as “shear strength”.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a composite member 1 according to the embodiment.
- the composite member 1 is a member in which a plurality of members are integrated by bonding.
- the composite member 1 is a member in which a resin member and a dissimilar member for the resin member are joined.
- the dissimilar member with respect to the resin member is a member formed of a material having different properties with respect to the resin member in terms of coefficient of thermal expansion, heat transfer coefficient, strength, and the like.
- the composite member 1 includes a base material 2 and a resin member 3.
- the base material 2 is a plate-like member as an example.
- the resin member 3 is in direct contact with the surface of the base material 2. In FIG. 1, the resin member 3 is in direct contact with a part of the surface of the base material 2 (contact surface 4 of the base material 2), and has a lap joint structure.
- the material of the base material 2 is a metal, glass, ceramics, or resin.
- the material of the resin member 3 is a resin such as polybutylene terephthalate, polyphenyl sulfide, polyamide, liquid crystal polymer, polypropylene, and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene.
- FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the composite member 1 taken along line II-II in FIG.
- the base material 2 has irregularities 2b on a part (contact surface 4) of the surface 2a.
- the unevenness 2b is a micro-order or nano-order unevenness.
- the micro-order unevenness is an unevenness having a height difference of 1 ⁇ m or more and less than 1000 ⁇ m.
- the nano-order irregularities are irregularities having a height difference of 1 nm or more and less than 1000 nm.
- the arithmetic average roughness Ra, the maximum height Ry, and the ten-point average roughness Rz defined in JIS B0601 (1994) are respectively The thickness may be 0.2 to 5.0 ⁇ m, 1.0 to 30.0 ⁇ m, or 1.0 to 20.0 ⁇ m. If each of the arithmetic average roughness Ra, the maximum height Ry, and the ten-point average roughness Rz is within the above range, the unevenness 2b sufficiently exhibits an anchor effect on the resin member 3. Accordingly, the bonding strength between the base material 2 and the resin member 3 is increased.
- the arithmetic average slope R ⁇ a may be set to 0.17 to 0.50.
- the bonding strength decreases.
- the arithmetic average slope R ⁇ a is smaller than 0.17, it is difficult to obtain a practical joint strength.
- the root mean square slope R ⁇ q when the root mean square slope R ⁇ q is controlled in addition to the arithmetic mean slope R ⁇ a, higher joint strength can be obtained.
- the root mean square slope R ⁇ q may be 0.27 to 0.60.
- the bonding strength decreases.
- the root mean square slope R ⁇ q is smaller than 0.27, it is difficult to obtain a practical joint strength.
- the processing conditions for forming the unevenness 2b need to be controlled at a higher level. Bonding technology using blasting only satisfies the three most important requirements (surface structure quantitative control, processing time and processing cost, and dry process) required for direct bonding of surface-treated dissimilar materials. Blasting is advantageous from the viewpoints of the environment and economy because the unevenness can be easily formed. For this reason, the joining technique using blasting can greatly be expected to greatly advance the direct joining technique and promote industrial progress.
