Abstract

サーキット走行時のドライグリップ性能、ウェットグリップ性能と一般道走行時の低転がり抵抗性を両立するようにしたタイヤ用ゴム組成物を提供する。スチレンブタジエンゴムを5質量%以上30質量%未満含むジエン系ゴム100質量部に、シリカを1~50質量部、カーボンブラックを前記シリカの質量部以上の質量部配合し、かつ軟化点が100~140℃の炭化水素樹脂を10~30質量部配合してなるタイヤ用ゴム組成物であって、前記スチレンブタジエンゴムのスチレン量が30~40質量%、ガラス転移温度が-20~-5℃、重量平均分子量が100万~180万であり、前記カーボンブラックの窒素吸着比表面積が200~400m2/gで、該カーボンブラックの窒素吸着比表面積が前記シリカの窒素吸着比表面積より大きいことを特徴とする。

Description

タイヤ用ゴム組成物
 本発明は、サーキットおよび一般道の両方を走行可能な空気入りタイヤを構成するタイヤ用ゴム組成物に関する。
 サーキット等を走行する高性能自動車向けの空気入りタイヤに求められる性能は多岐にわたり、特に高速走行時の操縦安定性(ドライグリップ性能)、湿潤路面での安定性(ウェットグリップ性能)、および耐摩耗性が高いレベルで優れることが要求される。また運転者によっては、サーキット等で使用したタイヤを装着した自動車で、そのまま一般道を走行することがある。
 しかし近年、環境負荷低減の観点から一般道を走行する空気入りタイヤには、転がり抵抗が小さく燃費性能が優れること、耐摩耗性が優れること等の規制がかけられている(例えば欧州認証R117-02)。このためサーキット走行用の空気入りタイヤにも、低転がり抵抗性や耐摩耗性を向上させて一般道を走行可能にすることが求められることがある。
 特許文献1は、スチレン量が30~38質量%、ビニル量が60~80質量%、ガラス転移温度が-20~-5℃、重量平均分子量が100万~180万の溶液重合スチレンブタジエンゴムS-SBR1を30~70質量%とガラス転移温度が-30℃以上-20℃未満、重量平均分子量が100万~180万の溶液重合スチレンブタジエンゴムS-SBR2を70~30質量%とからなるスチレンブタジエンゴム100質量部に、窒素吸着比表面積が130~400m2/gのカーボンブラックを40~80質量部、シリカを30~90質量部、芳香族変性テルペン樹脂を2~10質量部配合したことにより、高速走行時の操縦安定性、高速走行性能の持続性、ウェット性能および耐摩耗性を改良したタイヤトレッド用タイヤ用ゴム組成物を提案している。しかし、このタイヤトレッド用タイヤ用ゴム組成物は、グリップ性能が優れるものの転がり抵抗が大きく一般道を走行するには向いていなかった。
日本国特許第5831300号公報
 本発明の目的は、サーキット走行時のドライグリップ性能、ウェットグリップ性能および一般道走行時の低転がり抵抗性を両立するようにしたタイヤ用ゴム組成物を提供することにある。
 上記目的を達成する本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、スチレンブタジエンゴムを5質量%以上30質量%未満含むジエン系ゴム100質量部に、シリカを1~50質量部、カーボンブラックを前記シリカの質量部以上の質量部配合し、かつ軟化点が100~140℃の炭化水素樹脂を10~30質量部配合してなるタイヤ用ゴム組成物であって、前記スチレンブタジエンゴムのスチレン量が30~40質量%、ガラス転移温度が-20~-5℃、重量平均分子量が100万~180万であり、前記カーボンブラックの窒素吸着比表面積が200~400m2/gで、該カーボンブラックの窒素吸着比表面積が前記シリカの窒素吸着比表面積より大きいことを特徴とする。
 本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、上記構成の通りスチレン量が30~40質量%、ガラス転移温度が-20~-5℃、重量平均分子量が100万~180万であるスチレンブタジエンゴムを5質量%以上30質量%未満含むジエン系ゴム100質量部に、軟化点が100~140℃の炭化水素樹脂を10~30質量部、シリカを1~50質量部、窒素吸着比表面積が200~400m2/gのカーボンブラックをシリカの質量部以上に配合するようにしたので、サーキット走行時のドライグリップ性能およびウェットグリップ性能と、一般道走行時の低転がり抵抗性とを両立することができる。
 前記スチレンブタジエンゴムが溶液重合スチレンブタジエンゴムであり、更に乳化重合スチレンブタジエンゴムを前記ジエン系ゴム100質量%中70~95質量%含有してなるとよい。前記炭化水素樹脂が芳香族変性テルペン樹脂であり、その軟化点が105~130℃であるとよい。更にチウラム系加硫促進剤を、前記ジエン系ゴム100質量部に対し、0.5~5質量部配合してなるよい。
 上述したタイヤ用ゴム組成物は空気入りタイヤのトレッドを形成するのに好適である。このタイヤ用ゴム組成物からなる空気入りタイヤは、サーキット走行時のドライグリップ性能およびウェットグリップ性能と、一般道走行時の低転がり抵抗性とを両立することができる。
図1は、本発明のゴム組成物を使用した空気入りタイヤの実施形態の一例を示すタイヤ子午線方向の部分断面図である。
 図1は、ゴム組成物を使用した空気入りタイヤの実施形態の一例を示す断面図である。空気入りタイヤは、トレッド部1、サイドウォール部2、ビード部3からなる。
 図1において、左右のビード部3間にタイヤ径方向に延在する補強コードをタイヤ周方向に所定の間隔で配列してゴム層に埋設した2層のカーカス層4が延設され、その両端部がビード部3に埋設したビードコア5の周りにビードフィラー6を挟み込むようにしてタイヤ軸方向内側から外側に折り返されている。カーカス層4の内側にはインナーライナー層7が配置されている。トレッド部1のカーカス層4の外周側には、タイヤ周方向に傾斜して延在する補強コードをタイヤ軸方向に所定の間隔で配列してゴム層に埋設した2層のベルト層8が配設されている。この2層のベルト層8の補強コードは層間でタイヤ周方向に対する傾斜方向を互いに逆向きにして交差している。ベルト層8の外周側には、ベルトカバー層9が配置されている。このベルトカバー層9の外周側に、トレッド部1がトレッドゴム層10a,10bにより形成される。トレッドゴム層10aおよび10bは、キャップトレッドおよびベーストレッドであり、好ましくは本発明のゴム組成物により構成することができる。
 本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物において、ゴム成分は、高分子量かつ高ガラス転移温度を有するスチレンブタジエンゴムを含むジエン系ゴムである。このスチレンブタジエンゴムは、溶液重合スチレンブタジエンゴム、乳化重合スチレンブタジエンゴムのいずれでもよいが、好ましくは溶液重合スチレンブタジエンゴムである。以下この高分子量かつ高ガラス転移温度を有するスチレンブタジエンゴムを「SBR1」と記載することがある。
 SBR1は、スチレン量が30~40質量%、ガラス転移温度(以下「Tg」という)が-20~-5℃、重量平均分子量(以下「Mw」という)が100万~180万のスチレンブタジエンゴムであり、好ましくは溶液重合スチレンブタジエンゴムである。
 SBR1のスチレン量は30~40質量%、好ましくは32~38質量%である。SBR1のスチレン量が30質量%未満であると、ゴム強度が低くなり、またグリップ性能も低下する。またSBR1のスチレン量が40質量%を超えると、耐摩耗性が悪化する。なおSBR1のスチレン量は1H-NMRにより測定するものとする。
 SBR1のTgは-20~-5℃、好ましくは-18~-7℃である。SBR1のTgが-20℃より低いと、ドライグリップ性能およびウェットグリップ性能が低下する。またSBR1のTgが-5℃より高いと、耐摩耗性が悪化する。なお本明細書においてSBR1のTgは示差走査熱量測定(DSC)により20℃/分の昇温速度条件によりサーモグラムを測定し、転移域の中点の温度とする。またSBR1が油展品であるときは、油展成分(オイル)を含まない状態におけるSBR1のガラス転移温度とする。
 SBR1のMwは100万~180万、好ましくは120万~160万である。SBR1のMwが100万未満であると、ゴム強度が低下する。またMwが180万を超えると、ゴム組成物の加工性が悪化する。なお本明細書においてSBR1のMwはゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(GPC)により標準ポリスチレン換算により測定するものとする。
 SBR1のビニル量は好ましくは60~80質量%、より好ましくは62~70質量%である。SBR1のビニル量が60質量%未満であると、グリップ性能が低下する虞がある。またSBR1のビニル量が80質量%を超えると、硬くなりすぎてグリップ性能が低下する虞がある。なおSBR1のビニル量は1H-NMRにより測定するものとする。
 スチレンブタジエンゴム100質量%中のSBR1の含有量は5質量%以上30質量%未満、好ましくは8~27質量%である。SBR1の含有量が5質量%未満であると、ウェット性能が悪化する。またSBR1の含有量が30質量%以上であると、転がり抵抗が大きくなり燃費性能が悪化する。
 本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、スチレンブタジエンゴムSBR1以外の他のジエン系ゴムを含むことができる。他のジエン系ゴムとして例えば天然ゴム(NR)、ポリイソプレンゴム(IR)、スチレンブタジエンゴムのうち本発明で規定されたスチレン量、Tg、Mwの少なくとも1つを満たさない溶液重合スチレンブタジエンゴムまたは乳化重合スチレンブタジエンゴム、ポリブタジエンゴム(低シスBR)、高シスBR、高トランスBR(ブタジエン部のトランス結合含有量が70~95%)、スチレン-イソプレン共重合ゴム、ブタジエン-イソプレン共重合ゴム、溶液重合ランダムスチレン-ブタジエン-イソプレン共重合ゴム、乳化重合ランダムスチレン-ブタジエン-イソプレン共重合ゴム、乳化重合スチレン-アクリロニトリル-ブタジエン共重合ゴム、アクリロニトリル-ブタジエン共重合ゴム、高ビニルSBR-低ビニルSBRブロック共重合ゴム、ポリイソプレン-SBRブロック共重合ゴム、ポリスチレン-ポリブタジエン-ポリスチレンブロック共重合体等を挙げることができる。なかでもスチレン量、Tg、Mwの1つ以上の要件を満たさない溶液重合スチレンブタジエンゴム、乳化重合スチレンブタジエンゴムが好ましく、とりわけ乳化重合スチレンブタジエンゴムが好ましい。
 SBR1以外の他のジエン系ゴムとして好適な乳化重合スチレンブタジエンゴム(以下、「SBR2」と記載することがある。)は、Tgが好ましくは-40℃以上-20℃未満、Mwが好ましくは60万~120万であるとよい。
 SBR2のTgは好ましくは-40℃以上-20℃未満、より好ましくは-38~-22℃である。SBR2のTgが-40℃より低いと、グリップ性能が低下する虞がある。またSBR2のTgが-20℃以上であると、耐摩耗性が悪化する虞がある。
 SBR2のMwは好ましくは60万~120万、より好ましくは65万~115万である。SBR2のMwが60万未満であると、ゴム強度が低下する虞がある。またMwが120万を超えると、ゴム組成物の加工性が悪化する虞がある。
 他のジエン系ゴムの含有量は、ジエン系ゴム100質量%中、好ましくは70質量%を超えて95質量%以下、より好ましくは73~92質量%である。他のジエン系ゴムを含有することにより耐摩耗性などの各種物性の改善が可能になる。
 本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、軟化点が100~140℃の炭化水素樹脂を配合することによりドライグリップ性能およびウェットグリップ性能と低転がり抵抗を共に改良することができる。炭化水素樹脂の軟化点は、好ましくは105~130℃である。炭化水素樹脂の軟化点が100℃未満であると、グリップ性能を改良する作用が得られず、特にドライグリップ性能が低下する。また炭化水素樹脂の軟化点が140℃を超えると、転がり抵抗が大きくなる。炭化水素樹脂の軟化点はJIS K6220-1(環球法)に準拠し測定したものとする。
 炭化水素樹脂の配合量は、ジエン系ゴム100質量部に対し10~30質量部、好ましくは13~28質量部である。炭化水素樹脂の配合量が10質量部未満であると、ドライグリップ性能およびウェットグリップ性能を十分に改良することができない。また炭化水素樹脂の配合量が30質量部を超えると、転がり抵抗が大きくなる。
 炭化水素樹脂としては、特に限定されるものではないが、例えば、テルペン系樹脂、ロジン系樹脂などの天然樹脂、石油系樹脂、石炭系樹脂、フェノール系樹脂、キシレン系樹脂などの合成樹脂及びこれらの変性物が例示される。なかでもテルペン系樹脂および/または石油系樹脂が好ましく、特にテルペン系樹脂の変性物が好ましい。
 テルペン系樹脂としては、例えばα-ピネン樹脂、β-ピネン樹脂、リモネン樹脂、水添リモネン樹脂、ジペンテン樹脂、テルペンフェノール樹脂、テルペンスチレン樹脂、芳香族変性テルペン樹脂、水素添加テルペン樹脂等が好適に挙げられる。なかでも芳香族変性テルペン樹脂が好ましい。
 芳香族変性テルペン樹脂は、テルペンと芳香族化合物とを重合することにより得られる。テルペンとしては、例えばα-ピネン、β-ピネン、ジペンテン、リモネンなどが例示される。芳香族化合物としては、例えばスチレン、α-メチルスチレン、ビニルトルエン、インデンなどが例示される。なかでも芳香族変性テルペン樹脂としてスチレン変性テルペン樹脂が好ましい。このような芳香族変性テルペン樹脂は、ジエン系ゴムとの相溶性が良好であるため、ゴム組成物の動的粘弾性を改質し、ウェットグリップ性能および発熱性を改良することができる。
 石油系樹脂としては、芳香族系炭化水素樹脂あるいは飽和または不飽和脂肪族系炭化水素樹脂が挙げられ、例えばC5系石油樹脂(イソプレン、1,3-ペンタジエン、シクロペンタジエン、メチルブテン、ペンテンなどの留分を重合した脂肪族系石油樹脂)、C9系石油樹脂(α-メチルスチレン、o-ビニルトルエン、m-ビニルトルエン、p-ビニルトルエンなどの留分を重合した芳香族系石油樹脂)、C5-C9共重合石油樹脂などが例示される。
 本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、カーボンブラックおよびシリカを配合する。特定されたカーボンブラックおよびシリカを所定量、配合することにより、ゴム組成物のドライグリップ性能、ウェットグリップ性能と低転がり抵抗性を両立することができる。
 カーボンブラックの窒素吸着比表面積(N2SA)は200~400m2/g、好ましくは210~390m2/gである。カーボンブラックのN2SAが200m2/g未満であると、グリップ性能が低下する。またカーボンブラックのN2SAが400m2/gを超えると、耐摩耗性が悪化する。カーボンブラックのN2SAはJIS K6217-2に準拠して求めるものとする。
 本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物に配合するシリカは、その窒素吸着比表面積(N2SA)が上述したカーボンブラックのN2SAよりも小さくなるようにする。すなわちカーボンブラックのN2SAをシリカのN2SAより大きくすることにより、ウェットグリップ性能および低転がり抵抗性を優れたレベルに維持しながら、ドライグリップ性能を改良することができる。
 シリカのN2SAは、カーボンブラックのN2SAよりも小さい限り特に制限されるものではないが、好ましくは100~300m2/g、より好ましくは110~290m2/gであるとよい。シリカのN2SAはJIS K6217-2に準拠して求めるものとする。
 シリカとしては、タイヤ用ゴム組成物に通常使用されるシリカ、例えば湿式法シリカ、乾式法シリカあるいは表面処理シリカなどを使用することができる。
 シリカの配合量は、ジエン系ゴム100質量部に対し1~50質量部、好ましくは2~49質量部である。シリカの配合量が1質量部未満であると、ウェットグリップ性能を改良することができず、また転がり抵抗を小さくすることができない。またシリカの配合量が50質量部を超えると、耐摩耗性が低下する。
 カーボンブラックの配合量は、シリカの配合量より多くする。すなわちカーボンブラックの配合量およびシリカの配合量の合計100質量%に対し、カーボンブラックの配合量が50質量%以上、好ましくは52~85質量%にする。カーボンブラックを、カーボンブラックおよびシリカの合計に対し50質量%以上配合することにより、ドライグリップ性能を優れたものにすることができる。
 カーボンブラックの配合量およびシリカの配合量の合計は、特に制限されるものではないが、好ましくはジエン系ゴム100質量部に対し50~200質量部、より好ましくは60~180質量部であるとよい。カーボンブラックおよびシリカの合計量をこのような範囲内にすることにより、高速走行時のグリップ性能をより優れたものにすることができる。
 本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物において、シリカと共にシランカップリング剤を配合することにより、シリカの分散性を向上しジエン系ゴムとの補強性をより高くすることができる。シランカップリング剤は、シリカ配合量に対して好ましくは2~20質量%、より好ましくは5~15質量%配合するとよい。シランカップリング剤の配合量がシリカ質量の2質量%未満の場合、シリカの分散性を向上する効果が十分に得られない。また、シランカップリング剤が20質量%を超えると、シランカップリング剤同士が重合してしまい、所望の効果を得ることができなくなる。
 シランカップリング剤としては、特に制限されるものではないが、硫黄含有シランカップリング剤が好ましく、例えばビス-(3-トリエトキシシリルプロピル)テトラスルフィド、ビス(3-トリエトキシシリルプロピル)トリスルフィド、ビス(3-トリエトキシシリルプロピル)ジスルフィド、ビス(2-トリエトキシシリルエチル)テトラスルフィド、ビス(3-トリメトキシシリルプロピル)テトラスルフィド、ビス(2-トリメトキシシリルエチル)テトラスルフィド、3-メルカプトプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3-メルカプトプロピルジメトキシメチルシラン、3-メルカプトプロピルジメチルメトキシシラン、2-メルカプトエチルトリエトキシシラン、3-メルカプトプロピルトリエトキシシラン、およびエボニック社製のVP Si363等の日本国特開2006-249069号公報に例示されているメルカプトシラン化合物等、3-トリメトキシシリルプロピルベンゾチアゾールテトラスルフィド、3-トリエトキシシリルプロピルベンゾチアゾリルテトラスルフィド、3-トリエトキシシリルプロピルメタクリレートモノスルフィド、3-トリメトキシシリルプロピルメタクリレートモノスルフィド、3-トリメトキシシリルプロピル-N,N-ジメチルチオカルバモイルテトラスルフィド、3-トリエトキシシリルプロピル-N,N-ジメチルチオカルバモイルテトラスルフィド、2-トリエトキシシリルエチル-N,N-ジメチルチオカルバモイルテトラスルフィド、ビス(3-ジエトキシメチルシリルプロピル)テトラスルフィド、ジメトキシメチルシリルプロピル-N,N-ジメチルチオカルバモイルテトラスルフィド、ジメトキシメチルシリルプロピルベンゾチアゾリルテトラスルフィド、3-オクタノイルチオプロピルトリエトキシシラン、3-プロピオニルチオプロピルトリメトキシシラン、ビニルトリメトキシシラン、ビニルトリエトキシシラン、ビニルトリス(2-メトキシエトキシ)シラン、3-グリシドキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3-グリシドキシプロピルメチルジメトキシシラン、β-(3,4-エポキシシクロヘキシル)エチルトリメトキシシラン、3-アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン、N-(β-アミノエチル)-γ-アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン、N-(β-アミノエチル)-γ-アミノプロピルメチルジメトキシシランなどを例示することができる。また、シランカップリング剤は有機ケイ素化合物であり、有機ケイ素化合物としてポリシロキサン、ポリシロキサンの側鎖又は両末端又は片末端又は側鎖と両末端両方にアミノ基又はエポキシ基又はカルビノール基又はメルカプト基又はカルボキシル基又はハイドロジェン基又はポリエーテル基又はフェノール基又はシラノール基又はアクリル基又はメタクリル基又は長鎖アルキル基などの有機基を1つ以上導入したシリコーンオイル、1種以上の有機シランを縮合反応させて得られるシリコーンオリゴマーなども例示することができる。なかでもビス-(3-トリエトキシシリルプロピル)テトラスルフィド、ビス(3-トリエトキシシリルプロピル)ジスルフィドが好ましい。
 本発明において、加硫促進剤は特に限定されるものではないが、例えばスルフェンアミド系加硫促進剤、グアニジン系加硫促進剤、チウラム系加硫促進剤、チアゾール系加硫促進剤等を例示することができる。これらの加硫促進剤は単独又は複数を組み合わせて使用することができる。好ましくはチウラム系加硫促進剤を配合するとよい。なかでもチウラム系加硫促進剤とスルフェンアミド系加硫促進剤を組み合わせて使用するとよい。チウラム系加硫促進剤を配合することにより、操縦安定性及びグリップ性能の持続性を一層向上することができる。チウラム系加硫促進剤としては例えばテトラメチルチウラムジスルフィド、テトラエチルチウラムジスルフィド、テトラメチルチウラムモノスルフィド、テトラキス(2-エチルヘキシル)チウラムジスルフィド、テトラベンジルチウラムジスルフィド等を例示することができる。
 チウラム系加硫促進剤の配合量は、ジエン系ゴム100質量部に対し好ましくは0.1~5質量部、より好ましくは0.5~3.0質量部にするとよい。チウラム系加硫促進剤の配合量が0.1質量部未満であると、操縦安定性及びグリップ性能の持続性を改良する効果が十分に得られない。またチウラム系加硫促進剤の配合量が5質量部を超えるとゴム組成物のゴム硬度が高くなり過ぎる。
 本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、オイル成分の合計が、ジエン系ゴム100質量部に対し、好ましくは60~115質量部、より好ましくは68~105質量部であるとよい。オイル成分の合計をこのような範囲内にすることによりドライグリップ性能、ウェットグリップ性能および低転がり抵抗性を優れたものにすることができる。なお、オイル成分の合計とは、ジエン系ゴム中の油展オイル、およびゴム組成物の調製時に添加する天然オイル、合成オイル、可塑剤などのオイル成分からなるゴム組成物中に含まれるオイル成分の合計をいう。
 本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、カーボンブラック、シリカ以外の他の充填剤を配合することができる。他の充填剤としては、例えばクレイ、水酸化アルミニウム、炭酸カルシウム、マイカ、タルク、水酸化アルミニウム、酸化アルミニウム、酸化チタン、硫酸バリウム等の無機フィラーや、セルロース、レシチン、リグニン、デンドリマー等の有機フィラーを例示することができる。
 本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物には、上記成分以外に、常法に従って、加硫又は架橋剤、老化防止剤、加工助剤、可塑剤、液状ポリマー、熱硬化性樹脂、熱可塑性樹脂などのタイヤ用ゴム組成物に一般的に使用される各種配合剤を配合することができる。このような配合剤は一般的な方法で混練してタイヤ用ゴム組成物とし、加硫又は架橋するのに使用することができる。これらの配合剤の配合量は本発明の目的に反しない限り、従来の一般的な配合量とすることができる。タイヤ用ゴム組成物は、公知のゴム用混練機械、例えば、バンバリーミキサー、ニーダー、ロール等を使用して、上記各成分を混合することによって調製することができる。
 本発明のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、空気入りタイヤのトレッド用ゴム組成物として好適に使用することができる。このゴム組成物でトレッド部を構成した空気入りタイヤは、サーキット等における高速走行時の操縦安定性、ドライグリップ性能、ウェットグリップ性能を従来レベル以上に向上することができる。また一般道(公道)を走行するときに、転がり抵抗が小さく燃費性能が優れる。このため一般道を走行するのに必要な各国の規制等に適合することができる。
 以下、実施例によって本発明をさらに説明するが、本発明の範囲はこれらの実施例に限定されるものではない。
 表3に示す配合剤を共通配合とし、表1,2に示す配合からなる11種類のタイヤ用ゴム組成物(実施例1~4、比較例1~7)を、硫黄および加硫促進剤を除く成分を、1.8Lの密閉式バンバリーミキサーを用いて6分間混合し、150℃でミキサーから放出後、室温まで冷却した。その後、再度1.8リットルの密閉式バンバリーミキサーを用いて3分間混合し、放出後、オープンロールにて硫黄および加硫促進剤を混合することによりタイヤ用ゴム組成物を調製した。
 上記で得られたタイヤ用ゴム組成物をタイヤトレッド部に使用して、タイヤサイズ195/55R15の空気入りタイヤを製造した。これらの空気入りタイヤについて、ドライグリップ性能、ウェットグリップ性能および転がり抵抗を以下の方法で評価した。
   ドライグリップ性能
 得られた空気入りタイヤを、それぞれサイズ15×6Jのリムに組み、空気圧200kPaを充填し、テスト車両の4輪に装着し、テストドライバーがドライ条件のサーキットコース(1周約2km)を10周連続走行させたときの周回毎のラップタイムを計測した。得られた結果は、平均ラップタイムの逆数を算出し、比較例1の値を100とする指数として、表1,2の「ドライグリップ性能」に示した。この指数が大きいほど、平均ラップタイムが速く、ドライグリップ性能が優れることを意味する。
   ウェットグリップ性能
 得られた空気入りタイヤを、それぞれサイズ15×6Jのリムに組み、空気圧200kPaを充填し、テスト車両の4輪に装着し、テストドライバーがウェット条件のサーキットコース(1周約2km)を10周連続走行させたときの周回毎のラップタイムを計測した。得られた結果は、平均ラップタイムの逆数を算出し、比較例1の値を100とする指数として、表1,2の「ウェットグリップ性能」に示した。この指数が大きいほど、平均ラップタイムが速く、ウェットグリップ性能が優れることを意味する。
   転がり抵抗
 得られた空気入りタイヤを、それぞれサイズ15×6Jのリムに組み、空気圧200kPaを充填し、室内ドラム試験機(ドラム径:1706mm)により、荷重4.5kNを負荷させて、速度80km/hにて30分間予備走行させた後、転がり抵抗値を測定した。得られた結果は、比較例1の値を100とする指数として、表1,2の「転がり抵抗」に示した。この指数が小さいほど、転がり抵抗が小さく、燃費性能が優れることを意味する。

 表1,2において、使用した原材料の種類は、以下の通りである。
・SBR1:溶液重合スチレンブタジエンゴム、旭化成ケミカルズ社製E680、スチレン量が36質量%、ビニル含有量が64%、ガラス転移温度が-13℃、重量平均分子量が147万、SBR100質量部にオイル成分37.5質量部を添加した油展品
・SBR2:乳化重合スチレンブタジエンゴム、日本ゼオン社製Nipol 1739、スチレン量が40質量%、ビニル含有量が14%、ガラス転移温度が-31℃、重量平均分子量が72万、SBR100質量部にオイル成分37.5質量部を添加した油展品
・SBR3:溶液重合スチレンブタジエンゴム、旭化成ケミカルズ社製E581、スチレン量が37質量%、ビニル含有量が42%、ガラス転移温度が-27℃、重量平均分子量が126万、SBR100質量部にオイル成分37.5質量部を添加した油展品
・CB-1:カーボンブラック、コロンビアンカーボン社製CD2019、N2SA=340m2/g
・CB-2:カーボンブラック、東海カーボン社製シースト9、N2SA=142m2/g
・シリカ:ローディア社製Zeosil 1165MP、N2SA=165m2/g
・カップリング剤:ビス(3-トリエトキシシリルプロピル)テトラスルフィド、エボニック社製Si69
・樹脂-1:軟化点が125℃の芳香族変性テルペン樹脂、ヤスハラケミカル社製YSレジンTO-125
・樹脂-2:軟化点が145℃の芳香族変性テルペン樹脂、ヤスハラケミカル社製YSレジンT-145
・樹脂-3:軟化点が85℃の芳香族変性テルペン樹脂、ヤスハラケミカル社製YSレジンTO-85
・オイル:昭和シェル石油社製エキストラクト4号S

 なお、表3において使用した原材料の種類を下記に示す。
・亜鉛華:正同化学工業社製酸化亜鉛3種
・ステアリン酸:日油社製ビーズステアリン酸YR
・老化防止剤:フレキシス社製6PPD
・硫黄:鶴見化学工業社製金華印油入微粉硫黄
・加硫促進剤-1:スルフェンアミド系加硫促進剤CBS、大内新興化学工業社製ノクセラーCZ-G
・加硫促進剤-2:チウラム系加硫促進剤TOT-N、大内新興化学工業社製ノクセラーTOT-N
 表2から明らかなように実施例1~4のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、ドライグリップ性能、ウェットグリップ性能および低転がり抵抗性に優れることが確認された。
 比較例2のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、スチレンブタジエンゴムSBR1を配合せず、スチレンブタジエンゴムSBR3のガラス転移温度が-20℃より低いので、ドライグリップ性能およびウェットグリップ性能が劣る。
 比較例3のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、カーボンブラックCB-2のN2SAが200m2/g未満であるのでドライグリップ性能が劣る。
 比較例4のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、カーボンブラックの配合量がシリカの配合量より少ないので、ドライグリップ性能が劣る。
 比較例5のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、炭化水素樹脂(樹脂-1)の配合量が30質量部を超えるので、転がり抵抗が大きくなる。
 比較例6のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、炭化水素樹脂(樹脂-2)の軟化点が140℃を超えるので、転がり抵抗が大きくなる。
 比較例7のタイヤ用ゴム組成物は、炭化水素樹脂(樹脂-3)の軟化点が100℃未満であるので、ドライグリップ性能が劣る。

Claims (6)

  1.  スチレンブタジエンゴムを5質量%以上30質量%未満含むジエン系ゴム100質量部に、シリカを1~50質量部、カーボンブラックを前記シリカの質量部以上の質量部配合し、かつ軟化点が100~140℃の炭化水素樹脂を10~30質量部配合してなるタイヤ用ゴム組成物であって、前記スチレンブタジエンゴムのスチレン量が30~40質量%、ガラス転移温度が-20~-5℃、重量平均分子量が100万~180万であり、前記カーボンブラックの窒素吸着比表面積が200~400m2/gで、該カーボンブラックの窒素吸着比表面積が前記シリカの窒素吸着比表面積より大きいことを特徴とするタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
  2.  前記スチレンブタジエンゴムが溶液重合スチレンブタジエンゴムであり、更に乳化重合スチレンブタジエンゴムを前記ジエン系ゴム100質量%中70~95質量%含有してなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
  3.  前記炭化水素樹脂が芳香族変性テルペン樹脂であり、その軟化点が105~130℃でることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
  4.  更にチウラム系加硫促進剤を、前記ジエン系ゴム100質量部に対し、0.5~5質量部配合してなることを特徴とする請求項1~3のいずれかに記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
  5.  空気入りタイヤのトレッドを形成してなることを特徴とする請求項1~4のいずれかに記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物。
  6.  請求項1~5のいずれかに記載のタイヤ用ゴム組成物からなることを特徴とする空気入りタイヤ。
