吸収性物品(1)がヒップホールド部(H)を有しており、ヒップホールド部(H)は、本体(8)の後方側部から突出する側部領域(10)において、本体(8)の前後方向中心線(CL)からの幅が最も大きい部分を含む第1凸部(21)と、第1凸部(21)より後方に隣接する第1凹部(31)と、第1凸部(21)より前方に隣接する第2凹部(32)とを有し、吸収性物品(1)は、ヒップホールド部(H)の側部領域(10)に山折り線(Y)が形成されるように折られており、山折り線(Y)は、第1凹部(31)と第1凸部(21)との間の第1変曲点(F1)と、第1凸部(21)と第2凹部(32)との間の第2変曲点(F2)との間でヒップホールド部(H)の側部領域(10)の縁部と交差し且つ前後方向の中心線(CL)に略直交している、個装吸収性物品又は吸収性物品。

Description

個装吸収性物品、吸収性物品、及び吸収性物品を折り畳む方法
 本発明は、個装吸収性物品、吸収性物品、及び吸収性物品を折り畳む方法に関する。
 従来、パンティライナー、生理用ナプキン、失禁パッド等の吸収性物品として、透液性の表面シートと不透液性の裏面シートとの間に吸収体が設けられたものが知られている。
 さらに近年では、吸収性物品の後方及び/又は斜め後方から体液が漏れることを防止するために、両側部後方から後端部にわたり長さ及び幅を大きくして、臀部を保持する部分(ヒップホールド部)を設けた吸収性物品が知られている。
 例えば、特許文献1には、横方向の半幅寸法が極小となる起点から後方に向かうにしたがって半幅寸法が徐々に広くなる前方拡開部と、縦方向中心線と平行な縁を有する中間部と、半幅寸法が後縁部に向けて徐々に小さくなる後方収束部とを有する後方フラップを備えた生理用ナプキンが開示されている。
 特許文献2には、液不透過性シートと該液不透過性シートの肌当接面側に積層された不織布とからなる後部フラップを備えた吸収性物品が開示されている。特許文献2の後部フラップは、液不透過性シートと不織布とが積層された積層体に熱エンボス加工を施して凹凸パターンを形成することにより剛性が高められている。
 また、特許文献3には、製品長を長くし、長手方向に沿う両側部に形成された一対の立体ギャザーと、後方領域の両側部それぞれから幅方向外側に延出する一対の後方フラップとを有する構成が開示されている。
 ところで、吸収性物品を携帯用に個装(個別包装)する場合には折り畳む必要があるが、特許文献1~3のようにヒップホールド部を有するために製品長が長くなっている吸収性物品の場合には、長手方向に間欠的に設けた折り線で折って畳むことが好ましい。特許文献3には、幅方向に延びる個装折り線を3本設けることが記載されており、端部に近い2つの個装折り線の位置は、立体ギャザーの弾性部材の端部が固定される位置との関係で規定されている。

 しかしながら、上記特許文献1~3に記載された吸収性物品の後方フラップの形状では、臀部の丸みに沿ったフレキシブルな変形はできない。そのため、後方フラップ部が臀部に良好にフィットしない場合がある。
 また、製品長の長い吸収性物品の折り畳みついては特許文献3に記載があるが、特許文献3の吸収性物品においては、ヒップホールド部の形状と折り線との位置関係については考慮されていない。
 上記の点に鑑みて、本発明は、身体へより良好にフィットさせることができ、且つヒップホールド部に発生し得るシワ等による違和感を防止又は軽減できる個装吸収性物品を提供することを課題とする。
 上記課題を解決するため、本発明の第一の形態は、透液性の表面シートと、不透液性の裏面シートと、前記表面シートと前記裏面シートとの間に設けられた吸収体とを有する本体を含む吸収性物品と、前記吸収性物品を個装する包装シートとを含む個装吸収性物品であって、前記本体は、前後方向に所定の長さ及び当該前後方向と直交する方向に所定の幅を有する形状であり、前記吸収性物品がヒップホールド部を有しており、当該ヒップホールド部は、前記本体の後方側部から突出する側部領域において、前記本体の前後方向中心線からの幅が最も大きい部分を含む第1凸部と、前記第1凸部より後方に隣接する第1凹部と、前記第1凸部より前方に隣接する第2凹部とを有し、前記吸収性物品は、前記ヒップホールド部の側部領域に山折り線が形成されるように折られており、前記山折り線は、前記第1凹部と前記第1凸部との間の第1変曲点と、前記第1凸部と前記第2凹部との間の第2変曲点との間で前記ヒップホールド部の側部領域の縁部と交差し且つ前記前後方向の中心線に略直交している。
 上記第一の形態では、ヒップホールド部が、側部領域において、本体の前後方向中心線からの幅が最も大きい部分を含む第1凸部と、前記第1凸部より後方に隣接する第1凹部と、前記第1凸部より前方に隣接する第2凹部とを有する。そのため、吸収性物品を装着する際にヒップホールド部を臀部に沿うように当てた時、第1凸部は、その前後の部分に影響を及ぼすことなく比較的独立して変形することが可能である。このような変形によって、ヒップホールド部の、臀部の曲面形状(丸み)に沿ったフレキシブルな変形が可能となり、ヒップホールド部を身体へより良好にフィットさせることができる。
 そして、本形態では、個装のために吸収性物品を折るに際して、ヒップホールド部の側部領域に山折り線が形成されるように折られており、この山折り線は、第1凹部と第1凸部との間の第1変曲点と、第1凸部と第2凹部との間の第2変曲点との間でヒップホールド部の側部領域の縁部と交差し且つ前後方向の中心線に略直交している。
 上記山折り線は臀部側に突出するので、吸収性物品を装着する際には、この突出した部分が最初に臀部に接触しやすくなっている。そして、ヒップホールド部が臀部に沿って押し当てられると、上記突出部分は直ちに下着側に押され、これにより、山折り線の両側の領域は、隣接する第1凹部及び第2凹部へ向かって自然に押し出される。この押出しにより、最大幅を有する第1凸部を前後方向へ引き伸ばすことができるので、第1凸部におけるシワ等を防止することができる。その結果、装着感を向上させることができる。
 本発明の第二の形態では、前記ヒップホールド部の前記側部領域が、前記前後方向に延びる前後方向折り線で折られており、前記山折り線の延長線と前記前後方向折り線との交点と前記第1凹部の底点とを通る直線と、前記山折り線とのなす角度、及び前記交点と前記第2凹部の底点とを通る直線と、前記山折り線とのなす角度が30°~60°である。
 上記第二の形態によれば、ヒップホールド部の側部領域に形成される山折り線が、第1凹部及び第2凹部に対して所定の位置に形成されている。そのため、第1凸部にシワ等を発生させる力が作用しても、その力を周囲に逃すことができる適切な範囲を第1凸部の両側に確保することができ、違和感を軽減させることができる。
 本発明の第三の形態では、前記側部領域の前記裏面シート側に、前記吸収性物品を固定するためのズレ止め材が設けられており、前記ズレ止め材は、前記交点と前記第2凹部の底点とを通る直線を跨るように配置されている。
 上記第三の形態によれば、ズレ止め材が、第2凹部の底点に近接した所定の位置に配置される。これにより、シワ等が発生して、第1凸部の前方に隣接する第2凹部に応力が過度に集中しそうになった場合でも、第2凹部付近の領域が下着に固定されて応力が分散されるので、大きなシワの発生を防止することができる。
 本発明の第四の形態では、透液性の表面シートと、不透液性の裏面シートと、前記表面シートと前記裏面シートとの間に設けられた吸収体とを有する本体を含む吸収性物品であって、前記本体は、前後方向に所定の長さ及び当該前後方向と直交する方向に所定の幅を有する形状であり、ヒップホールド部を有しており、当該ヒップホールド部は、前記本体の後方側部から突出する側部領域において、前記本体の前後方向中心線からの幅が最も大きい部分を含む第1凸部と、前記第1凸部より後方に隣接する第1凹部と、前記第1凸部より前方に隣接する第2凹部とを有し、前記ヒップホールド部の側部領域に山折り線が形成されており、前記山折り線は、前記第1凹部と前記第1凸部との間の第1変曲点と、前記第1凸部と前記第2凹部との間の第2変曲点との間で前記ヒップホールド部の側部領域の縁部と交差し且つ前記前後方向の中心線に略直交している。
 上記第四の形態によれば、上記第一の形態と同様の作用効果を奏する吸収性物品を提供することができる。また、吸収性物品を折り畳まずに個装する場合又は折り畳まずに重ねて包装する場合でも、上記第一の形態と同様の作用効果を奏することができる。
 本発明の第五の形態では、透液性の表面シートと、不透液性の裏面シートと、前記表面シートと前記裏面シートとの間に設けられた吸収体とを有する本体を含む吸収性物品を折り畳む方法であって、前記本体は、前後方向に所定の長さ及び当該前後方向と直交する方向に所定の幅を有する形状であり、前記吸収性物品がヒップホールド部を有しており、当該ヒップホールド部は、前記本体の後方側部から突出する側部領域において、前記本体の前後方向中心線からの幅が最も大きい部分を含む第1凸部と、前記第1凸部より後方に隣接する第1凹部と、前記第1凸部より前方に隣接する第2凹部とを有し、前記吸収性物品を、山折り線が前記ヒップホールド部の側部領域に形成されるように折ることを含み、前記山折り線は、前記第1凹部と前記第1凸部との間の第1変曲点と、前記第1凸部と前記第2凹部との間の第2変曲点との間で前記ヒップホールド部の側部領域の縁部と交差し且つ前記前後方向の中心線に略直交している。
 上記第五の形態によれば、上記第一の形態と同様の作用効果を奏する吸収性物品を折り畳む方法を提供することができる。
 本発明の一形態によれば、身体へより良好にフィットさせることができ、且つヒップホールド部に発生し得るシワ等による違和感を防止又は軽減できる個装吸収性物品が提供される。

 以下、本発明の実施の形態について図面を参照しながら説明する。
 (吸収性物品)
 吸収性物品1は、図1及び図2に示すように、不透液性の裏面シート2と、透液性の表面シート3と、これら両シート2、3間に設けられた吸収体4とを有する本体(吸収性物品本体)8とを備えている。吸収体4の形状保持等のために、吸収体4は、クレープ紙又は不織布等からなる被包シート5によって包まれていてもよい。吸収性物品1は、さらに、図1に示すように、後述のヒップホールド部Hと、ウィングWGを備えたウィング部Wとを有しており、ヒップホールド部Hとウィング部Wとの間は中間部Mとなっている。ヒップホールド部Hは、装着時に下着のクロッチ部分の後端に対応する位置を起点として、吸収性物品1の後端まで延びる部分とすることができ、ウィング部Wは、ウィングWGの前方の終端からウィングWGの後方の終端までの領域とすることができる。
 吸収性物品1を使用する場合は、ウィング部W側が前方方向を向き、ヒップホールド部H側が後方方向を向くように下着に装着する。本体8は、図1に示すように、全体としては、前後方向に所定の長さを有する細長い形状であり、前後方向と直交する方向に略一定の幅を有している。そして、吸収性物品1は、前後方向に延びる中心線CLに対し略線対称の形状になっている。
 吸収体4の前方及び後方の端縁部では、裏面シート2の外縁と表面シート3の外縁とが、ホットメルト等の接着剤やヒートシール、超音波シール等の接着手段によって接合されている。また、表面シート3側の両側部には、それぞれ前後方向(長手方向)に沿ってサイド不織布7が設けられている。サイド不織布7は、本体8の側方に部分的に突出し、同じく側方に突出する裏面シート2に積層され、ホットメルト等の接着剤やヒートシール、超音波シール等の接着手段によって接合されており、これにより、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10及びウィングWGが形成されている。
 裏面シート2としては、ポリエチレンやポリプロピレン等のオレフィン系樹脂シート等の少なくとも遮水性を有するシート材を用いることができる。ポリエチレンシート等に不織布を積層したラミネート不織布や、さらには防水フィルムを介在させて実質的に不透液性を確保した不織布の積層シート等を用いることができる。また、ムレ防止の観点から透湿性を有するものが用いられることがさらに望ましい。このような遮水・透湿性シート材としては、ポリエチレンやポリプロピレン等のオレフィン系樹脂中に無機充填剤を溶融混練してシートを成形した後、一軸または二軸方向に延伸することにより得られる微多孔性シートを用いることができる。
 表面シート3は、経血、おりもの、尿等の体液を速やかに透過させる透液性のシートである。表面シート3としては、有孔又は無孔の不織布や多孔性プラスチックシート等が好適に用いられる。不織布を構成する素材繊維としては、例えば、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等のオレフィン、ポリエステル、ポリアミド等の合成繊維、レーヨン、キュプラ等の再生繊維、及びこれらの混紡繊維、並びに綿等の天然繊維を単独で又は2種以上組み合わせて用いることができる。また、不織布の加工法としては、スパンレース法、スパンボンド法、サーマルボンド法、メルトブローン法、ニードルパンチ法等が挙げられる。これらの加工法の内、スパンレース法は柔軟性、スパンボンド法はドレープ性に富む不織布を製造できる点で好ましく、サーマルボンド法は嵩高でソフトな不織布を製造できる点で好ましい。また、融点の高い繊維を芯とし融点の低い繊維を鞘とした芯鞘型繊維、サイドバイサイド型繊維、分割型繊維などの複合繊維を用いることができる。
 裏面シート2と表面シート3との間に介在される吸収体4は、体液を吸収して保持できる材料であれば限定されないが、綿状パルプと吸水性ポリマーとを含むことが好ましい。吸水性ポリマーとしては、高吸水ポリマー粒状粉(superabsorbent polymer(SAP))、高吸水ポリマー繊維(superabsorbent fiber(SAF))及びこれらの組合せを用いることができる。パルプとしては、木材から得られる化学パルプ、溶解パルプ等のセルロース繊維、レーヨン、アセテート等の人工セルロース繊維からなるものが挙げられる。化学パルプの原料材としては、広葉樹材、針葉樹材等が用いられるが、繊維長が長いこと等から針葉樹材が好適に使用される。
 また、吸収体4には合成繊維を混合してもよい。合成繊維としては、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等のポリオレフィン、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレート等のポリエステル、ナイロン等のポリアミド、及びこれらの共重合体を使用することができ、これらのうちの2種を混合して使用することもできる。また、融点の高い繊維を芯とし融点の低い繊維を鞘とした芯鞘型繊維、サイドバイサイド型繊維、分割型繊維などの複合繊維も用いることができる。なお、疎水性繊維を親水化剤で表面処理し、体液に対する親和性を付与したものを用いることもできる。
 吸収体4の厚みは、約0.5~25mmの範囲内とすることが好ましい。吸収体4は、前面にわたり均一な厚みを有していなくともよく、体液排出部位に対応した部分を膨出させた構造とすることもできる。また、吸収体4は、積繊又はエアレイド法によって製造されたものが好ましい。
 サイド不織布7としては、撥水処理不織布又は親水処理不織布を使用することができる。例えば、経血やおりもの等が浸透するのを防止する効果又は肌触り感を高める場合は、シリコン系、パラフィン系、アルキルクロミッククロリド系撥水剤などをコーティングした撥水処理不織布を用いることが好ましい。また、ヒップホールド部Hにおける経血等の吸収性を高める場合には、不織布の材料として、親水処理された不織布を用いることが好ましい。不織布の種類としては、折り癖が付きにくく、シワになりにくく柔らかいエアスルー不織布が好ましい。
 ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10及びウィング部WのウィングWGの外縁には、サイド不織布7と裏面シート2との接合のため及び剛性を高めるために、所定の箇所に、ドットエンボスや所定の形状を有するエンボスを施したエンボス加工部を設けることができる。
 また、本体8には、身体への密着性を高めて漏れを防止するための圧搾溝(フィットエンボス)16を設けることができる。図1の形態では、主にウィング部Wより前方に配置された前方圧搾溝16a、体液排出部対応領域13を囲むように前後方向に延びる中央部圧搾溝16b、主にヒップホールド部Hに配置されて臀裂部から臀部に対応する第1後方圧搾溝16c及び第2後方圧搾溝16dが配置されている。
 (ヒップホールド部)
 本形態の吸収性物品1は、ヒップホールド部Hを備えている。ヒップホールド部Hは、吸収性物品1の両側部後方から後端部にわたる部分の長さ及び幅を大きくすることによって形成された面積拡張部分であり、図6に示すように、装着時に下着Sの臀部内面側に固定されることで、吸収性物品1の後方及び/又は斜め後方からの体液の漏れを阻止する機能を有する。ヒップホールド部Hは、図1に示すように、吸収性物品1の本体8の両側部の後方から後端部にかけて延在する、サイド不織布7と裏面シート2とが積層されたフラップ状の部分を含む。
 ヒップホールド部Hは、本体8の後方側部から突出する側部領域10と、本体8の後端部から突出する後部領域11とを有している。ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10は、主として裏面シート2とサイド不織布7とが貼り合せられて構成された領域を含み、後部領域11は、主として裏面シート2と表面シート3とが貼り合せられて構成された領域を含む。
 ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10及び後部領域11は、吸収体4を有さず、本体8に比べて薄く構成されていることが好ましい。これにより、本体8よりもフレキシブルな動きをすることができる。しかし、本体8で用いられる吸収体4より薄く構成された吸収体を、ヒップホールド部H内の裏面シート2とサイド不織布7との間に積層させることもできる。
 ヒップホールド部Hは、装着時に下着のクロッチ部分の後端に対応する位置を起点として、吸収性物品1の後端まで延びる部分とすることができる。図1の形態では、ヒップホールド部Hは、第2凹部32の前方に隣接する第2凸部22の前方の終端がある位置から吸収性物品1の後端までの前後方向にわたる部分となっている。ヒップホールド部Hの前後方向の長さは、例えば、5~20cmであると好ましく、8~18cmであるとより好ましい。
 吸収性物品1の全長は27cm以上であってよく、30cm以上であってよく、また45cm以下とすることができる。全長に対してヒップホールド部Hの前後方向の長さは、10~50%であると好ましい。なお、ヒップホールド部Hは、吸収性物品1の幅が最も大きくなる部分を含み、その幅は、12~23cmであると好ましい。
 (ヒップホールド部の外周形状)
 ヒップホールド部Hには、その外周(外形線)に凹凸が設けられている。例えば、ヒップホールド部Hは、図1に示すように、側部領域10において、本体8の前後方向中心線からの幅が最も大きい部分を含む第1凸部21と、第1凸部21より後方に隣接する第1凹部31と、第1凸部21より前方に隣接する第2凹部32とを有する。また、ヒップホールド部Hには、図1に示すように、本体の後端部から突出する後部領域11にも凹凸が設けられていてよい。
 以下、ヒップホールド部Hの外周に凹凸が形成されていることによる作用を説明する。
 ヒップホールド部Hは、全体としては平面状である。この様な平面状のヒップホールド部Hを臀部に当てた場合、臀部が曲面形状を有するために、平面形状と曲面形状との違いに起因して、特にヒップホールド部Hの外周領域(側部領域10及び後部領域11)に歪が生じ、シワが発生し得る。発生するシワの大きさや数はヒップホールド部H全体の面積(エリア)及び臀部の曲面の形状に関係するが、ヒップホールド部Hの外周に上述のような凸部及び凹部が形成されていない場合は、ヒップホールド部Hの外周領域の複数の箇所にシワやヨレが発生し得る。この様なシワが臀部の肌に接すると違和感を与えるが、特に、長時間椅子に腰掛けている場合、或いは夜間仰向けに寝ている場合は、体重の一部が臀部に加わるため、その分、違和感乃至不快感は大きくなる。また、就寝中の姿勢の変化或いは着席中の姿勢の変化により臀部に掛かる体重の大きさや、臀部とヒップホールド部Hとの接触状態が変化することで、シワが一層大きくなり得る。さらに夜間等で、仰向け或いは横向きで寝ている場合は、そのようなシワにより生じた隙間から体液が外部に漏洩しやすくなる。
 これに対し、本形態では、ヒップホールド部Hの外形形状には、第1凸部21、並びにその両側に設けられた第1凹部31及び第2凹部32が存在しているため、例えば、第1凸部21にシワを発生させる力が作用しても、そのような力は、ヒップホールド部H全体に伝搬することはなく、例えば、比較的応力の集まりやすい両側の第1凹部31及び第2凹部32までで留まる。そのため、例えば、シワが発生すると特に違和感が生じやすい脚周りに近い中間部Mの領域にまでシワが伝搬することを防ぐことができる。すなわち、第1凸部21は、その両側に大きな影響を及ぼすことなく独立して変形することが可能である。
 よって、吸収性物品を装着する際にヒップホールド部Hを臀部の曲面に沿うように当てた時、ヒップホールド部Hを、臀部の曲面に沿って変形させることができる。これにより、ヒップホールド部Hの臀部へのフィット性を向上させることができる。
 ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10に設けられた第1凸部21、第1凹部31及び第2凹部32の曲率半径(単位mm)は、本体8及びヒップホールド部Hの形状及びサイズに応じて適宜選択され、特に限定はされない。例えば、第1凸部21の曲率半径は25~35mm、第1凹部31の曲率半径は15~25mm、第2凹部32の曲率半径は10~20mmとすることができる。また、第2凹部32の前方に隣接する第2凸部22が形成されている場合には、第2凸部の曲率半径は36~46mmであってよい。第1凹部31の後方に隣接する第3凸部23が形成されている場合には、第3凸部23の曲率半径は30~40mmとすることができる。
 また、本形態では、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10において第1凸部21、第1凹部31及び第2凹部32が設けられた構成となっており、図示の形態では、第2凹部32の前方に隣接する第2凸部22、及び第1凹部31の後方に隣接する第3凸部23がさらに設けられている。しかし、凸部及び凹部の数及び形状はこれに限られない。例えば、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10には、1~5個の凸部を設けることができ、2~5個の凹部を設けることができる。
 (個装吸収性物品)
 本形態は、個装吸収性物品、つまり、都合良く且つ衛生的に携帯することが可能であるように個別に包装された吸収性物品1である。個装吸収性物品は、上述の吸収性物品1と、包装シート18とを有する。
 包装シート18は、吸収性物品1を包み込むことができるような形状を有することが好ましい。例えば、包装シート18は、後で説明する図5A~図5Eに示すように、平面視で長方形であってよい。また、平面視で正方形等の形状としてもよい。
 包装シート18は、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン等のポリオレフィン系フィルム、ポリエステル、ポリビニルアルコール等のフィルムや、不織布、ラミネート不織布(ポリラミ不織布を含む)等が用いられる。印刷によるデザインを重視するのであればフィルムが好ましく、風合いやソフト感等を重視するのであれば不織布等が好ましい。
 個装吸収性物品は、折り畳まれて個装されており、前後方向に略直交する折り線に沿って三つ折り以上、好ましくは四つ折り以上に折り畳まれていることが好ましい。四つ折り以上(折り線が3本以上)とすることで、製品長が長い吸収性物品であっても長さの短いコンパクトな形態とすることができるので、携帯や収納が容易になる。
 また、前後方向に略直交する折り線に沿った折り畳みに加えて、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10及びウィングWGを本体8の側縁に沿って内側に折り畳むことが好ましい。つまり、例えば、前後方向に延びる後述の折り線L0(図5A)を形成するよう折り畳むことが好ましい。このように側部の拡張部分を折り込んでおけば、携帯時に邪魔にならない。なお、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10及びウィングWGは薄いフラップ状の部分であるので、この部分の前後方向に沿った折り込みは、前後方向に略直交する折り線に沿った折り畳みの前に行っておいた方が、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10及びウィングWGには不要なシワ等が生じにくい。
 (山折り線)
 本形態の吸収性物品1は、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10に山折り線Yが形成されるように折られている。図3に、ヒップホールド部Hの一方の側部領域10の一部を含む領域の拡大図を示す。図3に示すように、山折り線Yは、第1凹部31と第1凸部21との間の第1変曲点F1と、第1凸部21と第2凹部32との間の第2変曲点F2との間でヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10の縁部と交差し且つ前後方向の中心線CLに略直交している。つまり、ヒップホールド部Hに形成される折り線Yは、最も幅の大きい第1凸部21において、特にその頂点付近に、前後方向中心線CLに略直交する線と言える。
 なお、山折り線とは、吸収性物品1の表側(表面シート3が設けられている側)に山状に突出するように折られた線である。また、前後方向の中心線CLに略直交するとは、厳密な直交を指すのではなく、例えば前後方向の中心線に対して±15°以下の角度をなしていてよく、±5°以下の角度をなしていることが好ましい。
 山折り線Yは、第1凸部21の頂点から前方方向又は後方方向に15mm以下の距離だけ離れた範囲内に形成されていることが好ましく、8mm以下の距離だけ離れた範囲内に形成されているとより好ましく、5mm以下の距離だけ離れた範囲内に形成されているとさらに好ましい。また、山折り線Yは、第1凸部21の頂点を通り前後方向中心線CLに直交する線であるとより好ましい。さらに、山折り線Yは、本体8の側縁付近にまで延在している線であってよく、最も近い前後方向折り線L0にまで延在する線、又は本体8の側縁にまで延在する線であると好ましい。
 通常、吸収性物品を装着する際には、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10及び後部領域11には、シワやヨレ(以下、シワ等と言う場合がある)がランダムに(不規則な深さ及び長さで)入りやすい。そして、この傾向は、特に側部領域10において幅が最も大きい第1凸部21において大きい。このような第1凸部21おけるシワ等は、肌に当ると違和感を生じさせる原因となり得る。
 これに対し、本形態では、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10の第1凸部21付近に山折り線Yが形成されるように、吸収性物品1を折り畳む。この山折り線Yは、吸収性物品1を使用する段階で個装状態から開封した時にも維持されている、つまり、山折り線Yの折り目が表面シート3側に突出した状態となっている。そのため、吸収性物品1を装着する際には、この山折り線Yの突出部分が臀部側に出張り、最初に肌に接触するようになる。そして、ヒップホールド部Hを臀部に沿ってあてがった時、山折り線Yの突出部分は臀部からの力によって直ちに下着側に押される。そうすると、山折り線Yの両側の領域は、隣接する第1凹部31及び第2凹部32へ向かって自然に押し出される。
 上記のように山折り線Yの両側の領域が押し出されることで、ヒップホールド部Hの中でも最も動き易く最もシワ等が発生しやすい第1凸部21を前後方向へ容易に引き伸ばすことができる。その結果、第1凸部21におけるシワ等の発生を防止することができる。上述のように、第1凸部21は吸収性物品1のうち最大幅を有する領域であるので、第1凸部21にできる不規則なシワ等は違和感の発生に直結し得る。しかし、本形態によってこのような面積の広い第1凸部21におけるシワ等を抑制することができるので、装着感を向上させることができる。
 また、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10においてシワ等を発生させる力が大きく働き、シワ等の発生を防げない場合であっても、シワ等は、応力の集中しやすい凹部、例えば第1凹部31及び第2凹部32に集まる。凹部は凸部に比べて幅方向の長さが短いので、凹部にシワが発生したとしてもそのシワの長さも短くなり、そのような凹部のシワによって生じる違和感は、幅の大きい凸部に発生したシワに比べて小さくなる。
 このように、本形態の個装吸収性物品によれば、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10に凹凸が設けられており且つ第1凸部21付近に山折り線Yが形成されるように折られているので、身体へのフィット性が高い上、違和感が良好に防止又は軽減される。
 山折り線Yは、第1凸部21の頂点から本体8の側縁まで連続して延びていてもよいし、連続して延びていなくともよい。例えば、図示の形態のように、第1凸部21の頂点付近から第1凸部21の途中で終端している線であってよい。
 山折り線Yは、上述のように、第1変曲点F1と第2変曲点F2との間でヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10の縁部と交差し、前後方向中心線CLに略直交しているのであれば、複数設けられていてもよいが、数が多くなると、山折り線Y自体により違和感が生じ得、ランダムなシワ等を周囲領域に伸ばすことで違和感を低下させるという効果を妨げる可能性があるので、山折り線Yは1つであることが好ましく、多くても3つ以内であることが好ましい。
 ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10は、上述のように前後方向折り線L0(図5A)で折られていることが好ましい。その場合の、山折り線Yと第1凹部31及び第2凹部32との位置関係について、図4に示すヒップホールド部Hの一方の側部領域10の一部を含む領域の拡大図によって説明する。
 図4に示すように、山折り線Y(又はその延長線)と前後方向折り線L0との交点Aと、第1凹部31の底点とを通る直線X1と、山折り線Y(又はその延長線)とのなす角度α1が30°~60°であると好ましく、35°~45°であるとより好ましい。また、同様に、上記の交点Aと第2凹部32の底点とを通る直線X2と、山折り線Yとのなす角度α2が30°~60°であると好ましく、35°~45°であるとより好ましい。なお、本明細書において、第1凹部31の底点とは、第1凹部31に隣接する第1凸部21と第3凸部23との間の凹部の底の点であり、第1凸部21及び第3凸部23の両方に接する線(第1凸部21の頂点と第3凸部23の頂点とを通る線)を引いた場合、その線から第1凹部31に垂線を引いた場合、垂線の長さが最も長くなる位置とすることができる。また、第2凹部32の底点とは、第2凹部32に隣接する第1凸部21と第2凸部22との間の凹部の底の点であり、第1凸部21及び第2凸部22の両方に接する線(第1凸部21の頂点と第2凸部22の頂点とを通る線)を引いた場合、その線から第3凹部32に垂線を引いた場合、垂線の長さが最も長くなる位置とすることができる。
 山折り線Yの位置と第1凹部31の位置との関係、及び山折り線Yの位置と第2凹部32の位置との関係が上記のような範囲となっている場合、第1凸部21にシワ等を発生させる力が作用した場合であっても、その力を周囲に逃すことができる適切な範囲を第1凸部21の両側に確保することができる。すなわち、角度α1及びα2を30°以上とすることで、シワ等が第1凸部21に近い位置で発生して違和感を大きくしてしまうことを防ぎ、60°以下とすることで、応力が過度に集中してシワ等を生じることになっても凹部にシワを集める効果を奏することができる。
 上記の角度α1及びα2は同じであっても相違していてもよい。なお、椅子に座っている際等には、臀部がヒップホールド部Hの後方から前方に相対移動しやすく、特に第1凸部21の前方付近で肌がヒップホールド部Hと密着しやすい。その場合であっても、角度α2が角度α1より大きくなっていると、第1凸部21の前方でより広い範囲にわたって引き伸ばし作用を奏し、不規則なシワ等を防止できるので、違和感が生じにくい。
 (ズレ止め材)
 図1、図4に示すように、ヒップホールド部Hの裏面シート2には、吸収性物品1を固定するためのズレ止め材9が設けられていてよい。ズレ止め材9は、粘着性又は非粘着性の層であり、この層を介してヒップホールド部Hと下着とを結合させ、ヒップホールド部Hが下着における所定位置からズレることを抑制する。
 ズレ止め材9は、粘着性又は非粘着性の層として形成することができる。粘着性の層としては、例えば、スチレン系ポリマー、粘着付与剤、可塑剤及びこれらの組合せを主成分とするものが好適に使用される。また、粘着付与剤及び可塑剤としては、常温で固体の各種石油系樹脂、エステル系ポリマー等が挙げられる。非粘着性の層としては、ゴム等のエラストマーを使用することができる。
 本形態では、図4に示すように、ズレ止め材9は、第2凹部32の底点に近接した位置に配置することができる。ズレ止め材9は、上述の山折り線Y(又はその延長線)と前後方向折り線L0との交点Aと、第2凹部32の底点とを通る直線X2を跨るように配置されていることが好ましい。これにより、第2凹部32付近に応力が過度に集中した場合でも、第2凹部32付近の領域が下着に固定されて応力が分散されるので、シワの発生に至ること又は大きなシワが発生することを防止又は低減することができる。また、ズレ止め材9は、脚周りに比較的近い第2凹部32の付近に形成されているので、違和感を生じやすい脚周りでのシワやヨレの防止に寄与することができ、結果として、快適な装着感を保つことができる。
 また、本形態では、第1凸部21の曲率半径が、第1凹部31の曲率半径及び第2凹部32の曲率半径より大きくなっていると好ましい。つまり、第1凹部31及び第2凹部32のくびれが深くなっていると好ましい。これにより、第1凸部21において、折り畳みによる山折り線Yが形成されやすくなる。よって、第1凸部21にシワやヨレを発生させる力が生じた場合であっても、シワやヨレをその両側、つまり第1凹部31及び第2凹部32の領域へ逃がす効果が促進される。
 (吸収性物品を折り畳む方法)
 以下、吸収性物品1を折り畳む方法を具体的に示す。
 本形態では、吸収性物品1を、図5A~図5Eに示すように、包装シート18及び剥離シート19と共に、吸収性物品1の前後方向に四つ折りする。四つ折りにすることで、大きいサイズの吸収性物品1であっても簡単に持ち運ぶことができるようになる。但し、吸収性物品1の大きさや用途によっては、三つ折りとすることもできる。
 折り畳む手順としては、まず、図5Aに示すように、吸収性物品1を包装シート18上に配置する。包装シート18は、ヒップホールド部Hの最大幅及びウィング部Wの最大幅のうち大きい方の幅とほぼ同じか、又はそれより大きな幅を有していると好ましい。また、図5Aに示すように、包装シート18の前後方向の長さは、吸収性物品1の前後方向の長さより必ずしも大きくなくてもよい。その場合であっても、包装シート18の前端部が、吸収性物品1の前端部よりも前方にあるように配置することが好ましい。
 次に、前後方向折り線L0にて、本体8の側縁部から外側に延びるフラップ状の部分、すなわちヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10及びウィングWGを、図5Aに矢印で示すように、内側に(表面シート3の側に)折り畳む。このような内側への折り畳みによって、本体8の側縁部に前後方向に沿って谷折り線が付き、吸収性物品1を包装から取り出して装着する際に、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10が臀部を包み込む方向に形付けられることになるので、フィット性をさらに向上させることができる。
 この折り畳み後には、裏面シート2側に配置されていたズレ止め材9が表側に現れるので、ズレ止め材9の粘着性保護のために、ズレ止め材9上に剥離シート19を配置する。剥離シート19を配置した後の状態を図5Bに示す。剥離シート19は、図5Bに示されるように長方形状とすることができるが、折り畳みの過程でズレ止め材9を覆うように配置することができるものであれば、長方形状に限られず、楕円形等でもよい。また、剥離シート19は、ウィングWG及びヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10のズレ止め材9をそれぞれ覆うように、複数配置してもよい。
 剥離シート19としては、ズレ止め材9が当接する側の面に離型処理が施された紙、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン等のポリオレフィン系フィルム、ポリエステル、ポリビニルアルコール等のフィルムや、不織布、ラミネート不織布(ポリラミ不織布)等を用いることができる。上記の離型処理は、シリコーン系樹脂、フッ素系樹脂、又は四フッ化エチレン系樹脂等の離型処理液を塗工するかスプレー塗布することによって形成することができる。なお、離型処理を施さなくても、ズレ止め材9から容易に剥離できるものであって且つズレ止め材9の粘着力の低下を招かないものであれば、フィルムそのものであっても、不織布そのものであってもよい。
 剥離シート19を配置した後、吸収性物品1を、ヒップホールド部H側から第1折り線L1で、包装シート18と共に折り返す。第1折り線L1で折り返した後の状態を、図5Cに示す。この時、第1折り線L1は、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10に山折り線Yが形成されるように折られるが、この山折り線Yは、上述のように、第1凹部31と第1凸部21との間の第1変曲点と、前記第1凸部21と前記第2凹部32との間の第2変曲点との間で前記ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10の縁部と交差し且つ前後方向の中心線CLに略直交するように形成される。山折り線Yは、第1凸部21の頂点を通り中心線CLに直交する方向に延在するよう形成されていることが好ましい。
 続いて、第1折り線L1よりも前方の第2折り線L2で、吸収性物品1を包装シート18と共に後方から内側へ折り返す。第2折り線で折った後の状態を図5Dに示す。第2折り線L2は、ウィング部Wより後方に位置する中間部Mを幅方向に横切る線であえればよいが、折りによって吸収性物品1が曲げられることによって体液排出部対応領域13(図1)の吸収性能を損なわないように、体液排出部対応領域13上にないことが好ましい。また、圧搾溝16、特に、臀裂部から臀部に対応する第1後方圧搾溝16c(図1)が折れてその機能を損なうことを避けるために、第1後方圧搾溝16cよりも前に設けられていることが好ましい。
 第2折り線L2で折った後、第2折り線L2よりさらに前方の第3折り線L3において、吸収性物品1を、今度は図5Dの矢印で示したように前方から(図5Dで見て上から)折り返す。第3折り線L3は、ウィングWGにシワ等が発生することを避けるために、ウィング部Wより前方の位置に配置されていることが好ましい。第3折り線L3で折って個装吸収性物品となった状態を、図5Eに示す。
 第3折り線L3による折り畳みが終わった後には、包装シート18の両側縁部をそれぞれエンボス圧着、加熱融着、接着剤等によって封鎖することができる。また、個装吸収性物品の包装シート18の前端は、シールテープ、エンボス圧着、加熱融着、接着剤等によって固定し、個装が前端から開いてしまうことを防止することができる。
 なお、本形態では、最初にヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10及びウィング部WのウィングWGを図5Aの矢印で示すように内側に折った後に、吸収性物品1全体を前後方向に折っている。しかし、最初の段階で、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10及びウィング部WのウィングWGを、図5Aの矢印で示した方向とは逆に折る、つまり、本体8の側縁部を前後方向に沿って外側に(裏面シート2側に)折ることもできる。このように側縁部を外側に折った場合であっても、上述した手順と同様に表面シート3が内側となるように前後方向に折り畳んでいくと、ヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10に山折り線Yを形成することができる。
 第1折り線L1は、吸収性物品1の後端部から30~200mmの位置となり得る。また、第2折り線L2は、吸収性物品1の後端部から120~350mmの位置に配置されていることが好ましい。第3の折り線L3は、吸収性物品1の前端部から50~100mmの位置であると好ましい。
 なお、図示の形態では、ズレ止め材9が吸収性物品1の裏面シート2側に予め配置されており、このズレ止め材9を覆うように剥離シート19を配置しているが、ズレ止め材9は、吸収性物品1ではなく、剥離シート19に設けておくこともできる。すなわち、前後方向折り線L0で内側に折られた吸収性物品1に剥離シート19を重ねたときに、吸収性物品1のウィングWG及びヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10における所望の位置に対応するように、剥離シート19にズレ止め材9を設けておく。そして、前後方向折り線L0で内側に折られた吸収性物品1の上に、ズレ止め材9付きの剥離シート19を、ズレ止め材9が設けられている側が吸収性物品1に対向するように載置し、その後、上述の形態と同様に、第1折り線L1、第2折り線L2、第3折り線L3で順に折っていくことができる。
 上記のようにズレ止め材9を予め剥離シート19に設けておく場合には、ズレ止め材9の、吸収性物品1と対向する面に接着剤を塗布しておくことで、ズレ止め材9を吸収性物品1の裏面シート2に固着させることができる。
 上述の形態では、山折り線Yは、個装の際の折りによって形成されているが、山折り線Yが予め形成された吸収性物品であってもよい。その場合、山折り線Yは、折り加工や圧搾等により形成することができる。例えば、図5Aに示すように吸収性物品1が広げられた状態で、少なくともヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10に山折り線Yを加工形成ことができる。
 予め山折り線Yを形成する場合、例えば、長手方向には折り畳まずに、図5Bに示す状態で個装することもできる。すなわち、前後方向の2つの折り線L0にて、本体8の側縁から外方に延びるフラップ状の部分、すなわちヒップホールド部Hの側部領域10及びウィングWGを含む部分が内側に折り畳まれた状態で個装することができる。なお、この場合、包装シート18の幅は、前後方向折り線L0にて内側又は外側に折られた後の吸収性物品1の幅(おおよそ本体8の幅)とほぼ同じ幅としてもよい。
 また、前後方向の2つの折り線L0にて折り畳まれた状態の吸収性物品1を積層させて、まとめて包装することもできる。これによって、厚さが薄い状態で、また複数重ねた状態で嵩張らずに、包装し、運搬することができる。また、取り出しの時間及び手間を省くことができるので、吸収性物品1を大量に次々と利用する用途において有用である。
 本出願は、2016年11月25日に日本国特許庁に出願された特願2016-229538号に基づく優先権を主張するものであり、その全内容は参照をもってここに援用される。

Claims (5)

  1.  透液性の表面シートと、不透液性の裏面シートと、前記表面シートと前記裏面シートとの間に設けられた吸収体とを有する本体を含む吸収性物品と、
     前記吸収性物品を個装する包装シートと
    を含む個装吸収性物品であって、
     前記本体は、前後方向に所定の長さ及び当該前後方向と直交する方向に所定の幅を有する形状であり、
     前記吸収性物品がヒップホールド部を有しており、当該ヒップホールド部は、前記本体の後方側部から突出する側部領域において、前記本体の前後方向中心線からの幅が最も大きい部分を含む第1凸部と、前記第1凸部より後方に隣接する第1凹部と、前記第1凸部より前方に隣接する第2凹部とを有し、
     前記吸収性物品は、前記ヒップホールド部の側部領域に山折り線が形成されるように折られており、
     前記山折り線は、前記第1凹部と前記第1凸部との間の第1変曲点と、前記第1凸部と前記第2凹部との間の第2変曲点との間で前記ヒップホールド部の側部領域の縁部と交差し且つ前記前後方向の中心線に略直交している、個装吸収性物品。
  2.  前記ヒップホールド部の前記側部領域が、前記前後方向に延びる前後方向折り線で折られており、
     前記山折り線の延長線と前記前後方向折り線との交点と前記第1凹部の底点とを通る直線と、前記山折り線とのなす角度、及び
     前記交点と前記第2凹部の底点とを通る直線と、前記山折り線とのなす角度が30°~60°である、請求項1に記載の個装吸収性物品。
  3.  前記側部領域の前記裏面シート側に、前記吸収性物品を固定するためのズレ止め材が設けられており、前記ズレ止め材は、前記交点と前記第2凹部の底点とを通る直線を跨るように配置されている、請求項2に記載の個装吸収性物品。
  4.  透液性の表面シートと、不透液性の裏面シートと、前記表面シートと前記裏面シートとの間に設けられた吸収体とを有する本体を含む吸収性物品であって、
     前記本体は、前後方向に所定の長さ及び当該前後方向と直交する方向に所定の幅を有する形状であり、
     ヒップホールド部を有しており、当該ヒップホールド部は、前記本体の後方側部から突出する側部領域において、前記本体の前後方向中心線からの幅が最も大きい部分を含む第1凸部と、前記第1凸部より後方に隣接する第1凹部と、前記第1凸部より前方に隣接する第2凹部とを有し、
     前記ヒップホールド部の側部領域に山折り線が形成されており、
     前記山折り線は、前記第1凹部と前記第1凸部との間の第1変曲点と、前記第1凸部と前記第2凹部との間の第2変曲点との間で前記ヒップホールド部の側部領域の縁部と交差し且つ前記前後方向の中心線に略直交している、吸収性物品。
  5.  透液性の表面シートと、不透液性の裏面シートと、前記表面シートと前記裏面シートとの間に設けられた吸収体とを有する本体を含む吸収性物品を折り畳む方法であって、
     前記本体は、前後方向に所定の長さ及び当該前後方向と直交する方向に所定の幅を有する形状であり、
     前記吸収性物品がヒップホールド部を有しており、当該ヒップホールド部は、前記本体の後方側部から突出する側部領域において、前記本体の前後方向中心線からの幅が最も大きい部分を含む第1凸部と、前記第1凸部より後方に隣接する第1凹部と、前記第1凸部より前方に隣接する第2凹部とを有し、
     前記吸収性物品を、山折り線が前記ヒップホールド部の側部領域に形成されるように折ることを含み、
     前記山折り線は、前記第1凹部と前記第1凸部との間の第1変曲点と、前記第1凸部と前記第2凹部との間の第2変曲点との間で前記ヒップホールド部の側部領域の縁部と交差し且つ前記前後方向の中心線に略直交している、吸収性物品を折り畳む方法。
