Definitions
- the present invention relates to a cannula holder (hereinafter referred to as a "holder") used when attaching a cannula used in ophthalmic surgery to an eye.
- a cannula holder hereinafter referred to as a "holder”
- FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of a conventional cannula
- FIG. 6 is a view showing the state of ophthalmic surgery.
- the cannula 20 has a structure in which a metallic pipe 21 is fitted into a base 22 made of resin, and the cylindrical side surface of the base 22 and the base end face of the pipe 21 are covered with a cap 23 made of silicone rubber.
- the base 22 comes in contact with the surface of the eye E when penetrating the pipe 21 into the eye E, thereby having a function as a stopper, and the cap 23 suppresses leakage of vitreous humor and the like from the inside of the eye E. It has a function.
- the base 22 has a substantially cylindrical shape, and a groove 22a is provided along the circumference near the middle position of the side surface of the cylinder. The groove 22a is used to grip the cannula 20 with forceps, and is used to fit the locking portion 23b of the cap 23 when the cap 23 is placed on the base 22.
- the cap 23 is provided with a slit 23a connecting the inner side of the pipe 21 and the outer side of the cap 23 at a portion covering the proximal end of the pipe 21 and pierces the eyeball E through the slit 23a.
- the surgical instrument 40 or the optical instrument for monitoring is inserted into the inside of the eye E through the slit 23a.
- FIG. 7 is a view for explaining how to attach the cannula to the eye, where (a) shows the state before piercing, (b) shows the state after piercing, and (c) shows the state of cannula fitting completed. ing.
- the cannula 20 is a very small instrument, when attached to the eye E, the operation is performed by attaching it to the tip of the holder 100.
- the piercing needle 30 for piercing the eyeball E is also attached to the holder 100 in a state where it penetrates the pipe 21 of the cannula 20 (state of (a)).
- the eyeball E is pierced in a state in which the piercing needle 30 and the pipe 21 of the cannula 20 are integrated (state of (b)).
- the holder 100 and the piercing needle 30 are removed from the cannula 20, and only the cannula 20 is left stuck in the eye E (state (c)).
- the cannula since the cannula is attached to the holder with the piercing needle being attached to the eye, it must be fixed to the tip of the holder during the attachment. However, since the cannula must be removed from the holder while the cannula is pierced into the eye, if it is fixed too firmly, there is a risk that the cannula may come out of the eye when it is removed from the holder.
- the present invention provides a holder for a cannula which can be stably attached by securely attaching the cannula to the tip of the holder and which can be easily removed from the holder after being attached to the eye.
- the purpose is to
- the holder for cannula according to the present invention is a holder for cannula which is used by attaching a piercing needle and a cannula for piercing the eye when attaching a cannula used for eye surgery to the eye, and the tip of the holder for cannula Further, the present invention is characterized in that it has claws for pressing the side surfaces of the cannula from opposite positions or plural directions.
- a recess may be provided on the side of the tip of the cannula holder, and a part of the rear end surface of the cannula may be visible from the recess.
- the cannula has a resin cap with a slit at the rear end of which a piercing needle penetrates, and a thin, generally rectangular shape that fits into the shape of the slit at a position where the piercing needle penetrates the slit
- a resin cap with a slit at the rear end of which a piercing needle penetrates, and a thin, generally rectangular shape that fits into the shape of the slit at a position where the piercing needle penetrates the slit
- a resin cap with a slit at the rear end of which a piercing needle penetrates, and a thin, generally rectangular shape that fits into the shape of the slit at a position where the piercing needle penetrates the slit
- the claw portion is provided at a position where opposite long sides of the substantially rectangular cross section of the piercing needle are pressed from the vertical direction, and similarly, the diameter is reduced at the position where the piercing needle penetrates the slit.
- the cannula can be fixed to the holder at the time of piercing, and can be easily removed using forceps or the like at the time of removing the cannula from the holder.
- the mounting operation can be stably performed.
- FIG. 1 is a cross sectional view of a conventional cannula.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the holder of the present invention, wherein (a) is a holder only, (b) is a state in which a piercing needle is attached to the holder, and (c) is a piercing needle and a cannula attached to a holder It is a state.
- the cannula holder 10 of the present invention is used by attaching a piercing needle 30 and a cannula 20 for piercing the eye when attaching the cannula 20 used for ophthalmic surgery to the eye.
- the cannula 20 is similar to that used conventionally, and the metal pipe 21 is fitted into the resin base 22 so that the cylindrical side surface of the base 22 and the base end face of the pipe 21 are covered with the silicone rubber cap 23. It has a covered configuration. Since such a cannula 20 is small, it is difficult to pick with a fingertip, and by attaching it to the holder 10, the task of attaching to the eye can be facilitated.
- a piercing needle 30 is used to pierce the eyeball.
- the piercing needle 30 is fixed to the holder 10 at its proximal end side in a state in which the pointed end protrudes from the pipe 21 of the cannula 20. Then, the eyeball is pierced in a state in which the piercing needle 30 and the pipe 21 are integrated. Therefore, at the time of piercing operation, the piercing needle 30 and the cannula 20 need to be firmly fixed to the holder 10.
- a claw portion 11 for fixing the cannula 20 is provided at the tip of the holder 10.
- the claw portion 11 of FIG. 1 is configured to hold the side surface of the cannula 20 at a position facing each other. In other words, the claws 11 sandwich the side surface of the cap 23 of the cannula 20.
- the claws 11 can be in two or more sets, and the cannula 20 can be fixed more firmly to the holder 10 by increasing the number of sets.
- the cannula 20 is fixed too hard, there is a concern that the cannula 20 may be removed from the eye when removing the cannula 20 from the holder 10. Therefore, if the number of sets of the claws 11 is too large, removal of the cannula 20 becomes difficult, so it is considered that one set is preferable, and at most two sets may be sufficient.
- the claws 11 are one set, there is also an advantage that when the cannula 20 is removed from the holder 10, the cap 23 of the cannula 20 can be easily held by a forceps or the like.
- FIG. 2 is a perspective view of another holder of the present invention, in which (a) shows only the holder and (b) shows a state in which the piercing needle is attached to the holder.
- the number of claws 11 is three. With such a structure, although the claws 11 are not at opposite positions, the cannula 20 can be pressed and fixed from the side in a balanced manner.
- the number of claws 11 is not limited to three. That is, as long as the cannula 20 can be fixed, it is not necessary to limit the number of the claws 11 pressed in a plurality of directions. However, as described above, since it becomes difficult to remove the cannula 20 if the number of the claws 11 is too large, it is considered that about three are appropriate.
- a recess 12 is formed on the side of the tip of the holder 10 shown in FIG. 1 or 2.
- the recess 12 is provided to facilitate removal of the cannula 20 from the holder 10 using a forceps or the like.
- FIG. 3 is a sectional view taken along the line AA of FIG. 1 (c).
- a part of the rear end surface of the cannula 20 is structured to be visible from the position of the recess 12. That is, since forceps or the like can be applied to the position of the recess 12, the cap 23 of the cannula 20 can be pushed from the rear end, and the cannula 20 can be easily removed from the holder 10.
- the number of recesses 12 is not particularly limited, for example, if there are two recesses 12, it is possible to push the rear end of the cannula 20 from two locations using two tips of the forceps, so there are a plurality. Is preferred.
- FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the holder with the piercing needle and the cannula attached.
- the cannula 20 here has a resin cap 23 provided with a slit 23 a through which the piercing needle 30 penetrates at the rear end of the cannula 20.
- the piercing needle 30 has a thin, substantially rectangular cross section fitted in the shape of the slit 23a at a position passing through the slit 23a.
- the pointed end portion of the piercing needle 30 moves when piercing and accurate position It is feared that it will be difficult to pierce.
- bending of the piercing needle 30 can be suppressed by providing the claws 11 at positions where opposite long sides of the substantially rectangular cross section of the piercing needle 30 are pressed in the vertical direction.
- the section shape of piercing needle 30 may be made except thin rectangular shape.
- the diameter may be a circular cross section (see FIG. 2B).
- the claw portion 11 may be provided so as to press the side of the diameter-reduced circular cross section in a plurality of directions.
- the cannula can be sufficiently fixed to the holder at the time of piercing operation, and can be easily removed using forceps or the like at the time of removing the cannula from the holder.
- the mounting operation can be performed reliably.
