- the maximum value of the length along the inner longitudinal direction 91 is L2, vertical directivity can be determined by L2 larger than L1, and vertical directivity can be improved over conventional structures. Can.
- the ultrasonic sensor When the ultrasonic sensor is attached to a vehicle or the like, for example, a hole is generally provided in a bumper so that only the surface 3 a of the bottom plate 3 is exposed from the hole. Therefore, when discussing the design of the ultrasonic sensor in a state of being attached to a vehicle or the like, the diameter of the surface 3a becomes a problem. In the present embodiment, it is not necessary to change the diameter of the surface 3a from the conventional one because D1 does not need to be changed to increase L2. Therefore, in the present embodiment, vertical directivity can be improved without impairing the design when it is attached to a vehicle or the like.
