 刃物台支持体55には、主軸52と同一軸線にガイドブッシュ装置59が設けられている。ガイドブッシュ装置59には、主軸52に把持されたワーク100をZ軸方向に移動自在に、かつ回転自在に案内するガイドブッシュが収容されている。刃物台56はガイドブッシュの前方に配置されている。
 ワーク100としての棒材(以下、棒材100ともいう。)が主軸52の後方から挿入され、主軸52の先端から棒材100が所定の長さ突出し、棒材100はガイドブッシュに挿入される。主軸モータや、Z移動機構54をZ軸方向に移動駆動するZモータ、X移動機構58をX軸方向に移動駆動するXモータ等を制御装置30によって駆動制御し、制御装置30による主軸52の回転、主軸台53のZ軸方向への移動、刃物台56のX軸方向への移動等の制御によって、棒材100は、ガイドブッシュに案内され、ガイドブッシュの前方の近傍で工具57によって加工される。
 本実施形態の異常検出装置10は、工作機械1の複数の所定位置にそれぞれ振動センサ11,12,…,20(以下、振動センサ11~20と略す。)が装着されている。各振動センサ11~20は、それぞれが装着された所定位置(装着位置)の振動を検出する。例えば、振動センサ11~14はベッド51の端部付近の位置に装着され、振動センサ15はベッド51の中央部付近の位置に装着され、振動センサ16,17は主軸台53の両端部付近の位置に装着され、振動センサ18はガイドブッシュ装置59の位置に装着され、振動センサ19は刃物台支持体55の位置に装着され、振動センサ20は工具57の位置に装着されている。各振動センサ11~20の装着された所定位置は一例である。
 各振動センサ11~20が検出した信号は、各振動センサ11~20の装着位置が区別可能に、異常検出装置10の制御装置30に入力されている。
 制御装置30は、各振動センサ11~20からの信号を、各信号を出力している振動センサ11~20の装着位置を特定して取得する振動データ取得部31と、振動データ取得部31によって取得した振動データを解析する振動データ解析部32と、記憶部33と、振動データ解析部32によって解析された振動データに基づいて工作機械1の動作状態を判断する判断部34とを有する。
 例えば、振動センサ11~20が、第1装着位置から第10装着位置までの10個の装着位置に対応して10個設けられている場合、振動データ取得部31に、第1装着位置のセンサ入力部から第10装着位置のセンサ入力部までの10個のセンサ入力部を設け、各センサ入力部に対応する装着位置の振動センサ11~20を、各センサ入力部に接続することができる。
 振動データ解析部32は、振動データ取得部31によって取得された各振動センサ11~20からの信号をそれぞれ解析し、振動センサ11~20によって各装着位置での振動データに関する情報を算出することができる。例えば、図2に示されるように、各振動センサ11~20からの信号により、各振動センサ11~20の装着位置における振動レベルを算出するように構成することができる。なお、図2において、振動センサ番号1は、第1装着位置に装着された振動センサ11を意味し、振動センサ番号2は、第2装着位置に装着された振動センサ12を意味し、以下同様に、振動センサ番号10は、第10装着位置に装着された振動センサ20を意味する。
 記憶部33には、加工精度の所定の項目と、これらの各項目の精度に影響を与える振動との対応関係を示すものであって、各項目の精度が低下する場合に振動レベルが悪化する振動センサ11~20の装着位置の組み合わせを特定した対応関係を示す情報が、図3に示されるデータテーブル(対応関係)として、データベース化されて記憶されている。
 図3に示す例のデータテーブルでは、第4装着位置と第6装着位置と第10装着位置との組み合わせと、加工精度の所定の項目として真円度とが対応し、第3装着位置と第8装着位置と第9装着位置との組み合わせと、加工精度の所定の項目として表面粗さとが対応し、第5装着位置と第8装着位置との組み合わせと、加工精度の所定の項目として端面平面度とが対応し、第7装着位置と第10装着位置との組み合わせと、加工精度の所定の項目として端面直角度とが対応している。なお、図3のデータテーブルは例示である。
 判断部34は、記憶部33に記憶されているデータテーブルと、振動データ解析部32によって算出された各振動センサ11~20により検出された振動レベルとに基づき、各加工精度の所定の項目に影響を与える影響値を算出し、影響値に応じて各加工精度の所定の項目毎に精度の低下のレベルを演算して、工作機械1に設けられたディスプレイ等に表示する構成とすることができる。
 本実施形態の異常検出装置10において、判断部34は、第4装着位置の振動センサ14と第6装着位置の振動センサ16と第10装着位置の振動センサ20による各振動レベルに基づいて、真円度に影響を与える値である影響値を算出し、この影響値に応じて真円度の加工精度の低下レベルを示す値である判断値を算出する。
 同様に、判断部34は、第3装着位置の振動センサ13と第8装着位置の振動センサ18と第9装着位置の振動センサ19による各振動レベルに基づいて表面粗さに影響を与える影響値を算出し、この影響値に応じて表面粗さの加工精度の低下レベルを示す判断値を算出する。同様に、判断部34は、第5装着位置の振動センサ15と第8装着位置の振動センサ18による各振動レベルに基づいて端面平面度に影響を与える影響値を算出し、この影響値に応じて端面平面度の加工精度の低下レベルを示す判断値を算出する。同様に、判断部34は、第7装着位置の振動センサ17と第10装着位置の振動センサ20による各振動レベルに基づいて端面直角度に影響を与える影響値を算出し、この影響値に応じて端面直角度の加工精度の低下レベルを示す判断値を算出する。
 本実施形態の異常検出装置10における判断部34は、判断値が、予め定められた閾値を超えると、この閾値を超えた判断値に対応する項目が、工作機械1の動作状態として精度が低下する加工精度の所定の項目として特定する判断を行う。
 例えば、図2に示されるように、第7装着位置の振動センサ17と第10装着位置の振動センサ20による各振動レベルが、他の装着位置の振動センサによる各振動レベルに比較して大きく、工作機械は第7装着位置と第10装着位置とにおいて異常に振動していると振動データ解析部32で解析されている場合、判断部34によって、図4に示されるように、第7装着位置の振動センサ17と第10装着位置の振動センサ20による各振動レベルの組み合わせに基づいて算出された端面直角度に影響を与える影響値に応じた端面直角度の低下レベルを示す判断値が、他の項目である真円度、表面粗さ、端面平面度等に対応した各装着位置の振動センサによる振動レベルの組み合わせに基づいて算出された影響値に応じた各項目の低下レベルを示す判断値より高く算出される。
 図4の場合、端面直角度に対応する判断値が予め設定された閾値を超えているため、判断部34は、端面直角度を、工作機械1の動作状態として精度が低下する加工精度の項目として特定する。なお、判断部34は、判断値が閾値を超えたか否かに応じた判断を行うのではなく、使用者自身が判断をするための参考として、項目ごとの判断値を提示するだけでもよい。
 本実施形態の異常検出装置10及び工作機械1は、判断部34が精度が低下する加工精度の項目を特定することによって、特定された項目に関連する加工動作の異常を判断し、この異常と判断された加工動作に関連する部品の異常の疑いを判断することも可能となる。例えば、端面直角度が低下するような異常な振動が発生している場合、工作機械1は端面直角度に関連する加工動作が異常となることが判断されるため、この加工動作に関連する部品の異常の可能性を判断することができる。

Claims (3)

  1.  工作機械の機体側の複数の位置に装着された複数の振動センサと、前記振動センサによる振動の検出情報に基づいて前記工作機械の動作状態を判断する判断部とを備え、前記判断部の判断情報に応じて前記工作機械の異常を検出する工作機械の異常検出装置において、
     前記判断部が、異常な振動を検出した前記振動センサの装着位置に基づいて、精度が低下する加工精度の所定の項目を特定する異常検出装置。
  2.  所定の前記振動センサの組み合わせと前記所定の項目との対応関係が予め記憶された記憶部を備え、
     前記判断部が、異常な振動を検出した前記振動センサの組み合わせに応じた前記所定の項目を、前記対応関係に基づいて選択することによって、精度が低下する前記加工精度の項目を特定する請求項1に記載の異常検出装置。
  3.  請求項1又は2に記載の工作機械の異常検出装置を備えた工作機械。
