본 발명은 용접 불량을 검출 및 용접 불량을 보수하는 용접 시스템에 관한 것으로, 용접 대상물을 용접하는 용접기, 용접기에 의해 용접된 용접물을 센싱하는 센서 및 센서로부터 용접물을 센싱한 제1 센싱 결과 데이터를 수신 받고, 제1 센싱 결과 데이터에 기초하여 용접물을 분석하고, 분석 결과에 기초하여 용접기가 보수 용접을 수행하도록 보수 용접 명령을 전송하는 제어 장치를 포함할 수 있다.

Description

용접 시스템 및 그의 동작 방법
본 발명은 용접 시스템 및 그의 동작 방법에 관한 것이다.
금속의 접합기술로서 용접은 오래 전부터 적용되고 있다. 금속 재료를 가열·용융시켜 접합부에 결합시키는 방법으로 아크 용접, 가스 용접, 테르밋 용접, 전자빔 용접, 레이저 용접 및 로봇 용접 등이 있다.
용접시 용접 결함이 발생할 수 있다. 용접 결함은 용접을 한 결과 형상이나 응렵집중을 일으키는 것 및 재질을 열화하여 강도나 연성이 손상되는 부분을 의미할 수 있다. 용접 결함은 용접의 대상물, 용접봉, 작업 조건 등과 같은 모든 조건의 영향을 받게 된다. 예를 들어, 용접 결함은 용접이 곧게 되지 않고 각도가 붙어버린 각변형, 용접하려고 한 부재가 엇갈려버려 잘못 붙어버리는 모재의 배치에 의한 것, 슬래그(slag) 감겨들기, 융합불량 등 용접금속의 내부에 생긴 결함, 용접 깨짐 등이 있다.
용접 결함이 과도하게 발생할 경우 그 구조물의 사용 목적을 달성하기 어려울 수 있다. 따라서, 용접 과정에서 용접 결함의 발생을 최소화해야 하며, 용접 결함이 발생한 경우 해당 용접을 보수하는 방법이 중요하다.
종래 용접 시스템은 용접 결함의 발생 여부를 센싱할 수 있다. 그러나, 종래 용접 시스템은 용접 결함의 발생 여부만을 센싱하고, 결함의 종류를 예측하거나 구분하지 못하고, 용접 결함이 발생한 경우 사용자가 직접 이를 보수해야 하는 번거로움이 있다.
본 발명은 용접의 불량을 검출하는 동시에 불량으로 검출된 용접을 보수 용접하는 용접 시스템 및 그의 동작 방법을 제공하고자 한다.
본 발명은 용접의 유형을 판단하여, 용접이 불량인 경우 자동으로 불량인 용접을 보수 용접하는 용접 시스템 및 그의 동작 방법을 제공하고자 한다.
본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 용접 시스템은 용접 대상물을 용접하는 용접기, 용접기에 의해 용접된 용접물을 센싱하는 센서 및 센서로부터 용접물을 센싱한 제1 센싱 결과 데이터를 수신 받고, 제1 센싱 결과 데이터에 기초하여 용접물을 분석하고, 분석 결과에 기초하여 용접기가 보수 용접을 수행하도록 보수 용접 명령을 전송하는 제어 장치를 포함할 수 있다.
제어 장치는 용접물을 분석하여 용접물 유형을 판단하고, 용접물 유형에 따라 보수 용접을 수행하도록 용접기를 제어할 수 있다.
제어 장치는 복수의 용접물 유형과, 복수의 용접물 유형 각각에 대응하는 용접물 계측 파형 및 보수 용접 방법을 맵핑한 용접물 판정 데이터를 저장하고 있을 수 있다.
용접물 유형은 정상 용접물 유형과, 용접 결함에 따라 상이한 복수의 불량 용접물 유형을 포함할 수 있다.
제어 장치는 용접물 유형이 제1 불량 용접물 유형이면 제1 보수 용접 방법에 따라 보수 용접하도록 용접기를 제어하고, 용접물 유형이 제2 불량 용접물 유형이면 제2 보수 용접 방법에 따라 보수 용접하도록 용접기를 제어할 수 있다.
센서는 보수 용접된 용접물을 센싱하여 제어 장치로 제2 센싱 결과 데이터를 전송하고, 제어 장치는 제2 센싱 결과 데이터에 기초하여 용접물을 분석할 수 있다.
용접기는 레이저 용접기이고, 센서는 포토다이오드이며, 센싱 결과 데이터는 용접물에서 측정되는 광량을 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 제어 장치는 용접기로 용접 명령을 전송하고, 용접 명령에 따라 용접된 용접물을 센싱한 센싱 결과 데이터를 센서로부터 수신하는 통신부, 센싱 경과 데이터에 기초하여 용접물을 분석하는 분석부 및 분석 결과에 기초하여 용접기가 보수 용접을 수행하도록 용접기로 보수 용접 명령을 전송하도록 통신부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함할 수 있다.
제어부는 용접물을 분석하여 용접물 유형을 판단하고, 용접물 유형에 따라 보수 용접을 수행하도록 용접기를 제어할 수 있다.
복수의 용접물 유형과, 복수의 용접물 유형 각각에 대응하는 용접물 계측 파형 및 보수 용접 방법을 맵핑한 용접물 판정 데이터를 저장하는 메모리를 더 포함할 수 있다.
용접 결과 데이터를 표시하는 디스플레이부를 더 포함할 수 있다.
제어부는 분석 결과 정상 용접으로 판단되면 용접을 종료하고, 불량 용접으로 판단되면 보수 용접을 수행하도록 제어할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따르면, 용접을 하는 동시에 실시간으로 보수 용접까지 수행함에 따라, 용접 후 별도의 품질 확인을 위한 추가 공정이 필요 없어 비용 절감의 효과가 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따르면, 용접 결함이 제거될 때까지 보수 용접을 반복 실시함에 따라, 상대적으로 단시간에 양질의 용접물을 제공 가능하며, 유출 불량을 최소화할 수 있는 이점이 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따르면, 용접 불량시 용접물의 유형을 파악하고, 각 유형에 따라 보수 용접하면 용접 결함을 보다 완벽하게 제거할 수 있어 신뢰성을 향상시키는 이점이 있다.

이하에서는 본 발명의 구체적인 실시 예를 도면과 함께 상세히 설명하도록 한다.
도 1은 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 용접 시스템을 나타내는 블록도이다.
본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 용접 시스템은 용접기(10), 센서(20) 및 제어 장치(100)를 포함할 수 있다.
용접은 같은 종류 또는 다른 종류의 금속재료에 열과 압력을 가하여 고체 사이에 직접 결합이 되도록 접합시키는 것이다.
용접기(10)는 금속 재료를 용접할 수 있는 장치로, 레이저 용접기, 직류아크 용접기, 교류아크 용접기, 저항 용접기, 초음파 용접기 등을 포함할 수 있다. 용접기(10)는 용접 대상물의 용접 영역을 따라 이동하며 용접하는 타입(type)의 용접기와, 각도 이동을 통해 용접하는 타입의 용접기 등 다양한 타입의 용접기를 포함할 수 있다.
용접기(10)는 용접 대상물(1, 도 3 참고)에 열 또는 압력을 가할 수 있다. 용접기(10)는 용접 대상물(1)을 가열하거나, 가압하여 금속 재료를 용접할 수 있다.
센서(20)는 용접기(10)의 용접 결과를 센싱할 수 있다. 센서(20)는 용접된 용접 대상물(1)을 계측하여 용접이 제대로 수행되었는지 센싱할 수 있다. 센서(20)는 용접 대상물(1)에 발생한 용접 결함을 센싱할 수 있다. 센서(20)는 센싱한 용접물 데이터를 제어 장치(100)로 전송할 수 있다. 여기서, 용접물 데이터는 기 용접된 용접물을 센싱한 결과 데이터를 의미할 수 있다.
센서(20)는 포토다이오드(photodiode) 등과 같은 광센서, 비전 센서, 열화상 센서, 초고속카메라, 변위 센서, 가압 센서, 가속도 센서, 음향 센서 등을 포함할 수 있다.
제어 장치(100)는 용접기(10) 및 센서(20)를 제어할 수 있다. 구체적으로, 제어 장치(100)는 용접기(10)가 용접 대상물(1)을 용접 및 보수 용접하도록 제어할 수 있다. 또한, 제어 장치(100)는 센서(20)로부터 용접물 데이터를 수신할 수 있다. 제어 장치(100)는 수신된 용접물 데이터에 기초하여 용접 결함의 발생 여부, 보수 용접의 실행 여부 등을 판단할 수 있다.
도 2는 도 1에 도시된 용접 시스템을 구성하는 제어 장치를 나타내는 블록도이다.
본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 제어 장치(100)는 통신부(110), 분석부(120), 메모리(130), 디스플레이부(140), 입력부(150) 및 제어부(160) 중 적어도 하나 이상을 포함할 수 있다. 즉, 앞에서 나열한 구성 요소는 본 발명의 설명을 위해 예시로 든 것에 불과하며, 실시 예에 따라 제어 장치(100)는 앞에서 나열한 구성 요소 중 일부를 생략하거나 추가 구성 요소를 더 포함할 수 있다.
통신부(110)는 용접기(10)로 용접 명령을 전송할 수 있다. 용접 명령은 용접 대상물 전체에 대한 용접 명령, 용접 대상물 일부에 대한 용접 명령, 보수 용접 명령을 포함할 수 있다. 통신부(110)는 용접기(10)가 용접 시작 또는 용접 종료 등을 수행하도록 제어하는 용접 명령을 전송할 수 있다. 통신부(110)는 용접 방법에 관한 데이터를 포함하는 용접 명령을 용접기(10)로 전송할 수 있다.
통신부(110)는 센서(20)가 용접 대상물(1)을 센싱하도록 제어하는 센싱 명령을 전송할 수 있다. 센서(20)는 제어 장치(100)의 통신부(110)로부터 수신된 센싱 명령에 따라 용접 대상물(1)을 센싱할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 통신부(110)는 용접기(10)가 용접 대상물(1)을 용접하는 동안 용접 대상물(1)을 센싱하도록 제어하는 센싱 명령을 전송할 수 있다.
통신부(110)는 센서(20)로부터 용접 대상물(1)을 센싱한 용접물 데이터를 수신할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 센서(20)가 포토다이오드인 경우, 통신부(110)는 용접 대상물(1)의 영역별 광량을 포함하는 용접물 데이터를 수신할 수 있다.
분석부(120)는 용접 대상물(1)과 관련된 데이터, 용접 결과를 센싱한 용접물 데이터 등을 분석할 수 있다. 분석부(120)는 용접 대상물(1)과 관련된 데이터를 분석하여, 용접 방법, 용접시 가하는 열량 또는 압력 등을 판단할 수 있다. 분석부(120)는 용접물 데이터를 분석하여, 용접 품질, 용접물 유형 및 재용접 수행 여부 등을 판단할 수 있다. 그러나, 앞에서 설명한 판단 정보들은 설명을 위해 예시적인 것에 불과하며, 분석부(120)는 용접과 관련된 다양한 데이터에 기초하여, 용접에 필요한 정보를 판단 및 획득할 수 있다.
메모리(130)는 용접에 필요한 적어도 하나 이상의 데이터를 저장할 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따르면, 메모리(130)는 용접물 판정 데이터를 저장할 수 있다. 여기서, 용접물 판정 데이터는 센서(20)를 통해 센싱된 용접물 데이터에 따른 용접물 유형과, 각 용접물 유형에 대응하는 보수 용접 방법을 맵핑한 데이터일 수 있다. 분석부(120)는 메모리(130)에 저장된 용접물 판정 데이터에 기초하여 용접물 데이터를 분석할 수 있다. 즉, 분석부(120)는 용접물 판정 데이터에 기초하여 용접물의 용접물 불량 유형을 판단하고, 판단된 용접물 불량 유형에 따라 보수 용접 방법을 획득할 수 있다. 용접물 판정 데이터에 대한 자세한 설명은 도 6을 통해 후술하기로 한다.
디스플레이부(140)는 용접물 데이터에 기초하여 용접 결과 데이터를 표시할 수 있다. 여기서, 용접 결과 데이터는 기 완료된 용접물과 관련된 데이터를 의미할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 용접 결과 데이터는 용접이 수행된 용접물 이미지, 용접 품질, 용접물 유형 및 보수 용접 방법 중 적어도 하나 이상을 포함할 수 있다.
입력부(150)는 용접과 관련하여 입력된 명령을 수신할 수 있다. 사용자는 입력부(150)를 통해 용접과 관련된 명령을 입력할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 입력부(150)는 용접의 시작/종료 명령, 용접 방법을 선택하는 명령, 보수 용접의 실행 명령 등을 수신할 수 있다.
제어부(160)는 제어 장치(100)의 전반적인 동작을 제어할 수 있다. 제어부(160)는 제어 장치(100)를 구성하는 구성 요소 각각을 제어할 수 있다. 즉, 제어부(160)는 통신부(110), 분석부(120), 메모리(130), 디스플레이부(140), 및 입력부(150)를 제어할 수 있다.
또한, 제어부(160)는 통신부(110)를 제어하여, 용접 시스템을 제어할 수 있다. 즉, 제어부(160)는 통신부(110)를 통해 용접기(10) 및 센서(20)를 제어할 수 있다.
다음으로, 도 3은 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 제어 장치가 용접 시스템을 제어하는 방법을 나타내는 도면이다.
먼저, 제어 장치(100)는 용접기(10)로 용접 대상물(1)을 용접하도록 제어하는 용접 명령을 전송하고, 센서(20)로 용접물을 센싱하도록 제어하는 센싱 명령을 전송할 수 있다. 이 때, 용접물은 용접이 수행된 용접 대상물(1)의 일부 또는 전부를 의미할 수 있다.
센서(20)가 용접물을 실시간에 가깝게 센싱하기 위하여 용접기(10)와 인접하게 위치할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 용접기(10)가 레이저 용접기인 경우 센서(20)는 레이저 용접기의 해드(head)에 위치할 수 있다. 그러나, 이는 예시적인 것에 불과하므로, 센서(20)의 위치에는 제한되지 않음이 타당하다.
용접기(10)는 제어 장치(100)로부터 수신된 용접 명령에 따라 용접 대상물(1)을 가열하거나 가압하여 용접할 수 있다.
센서(20)는 제어 장치(100)로부터 수신된 센싱 명령에 따라 용접물을 센싱할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 센싱 명령은 용접 결과를 실시간으로 센싱하는 명령일 수 있다. 이 경우, 센서(20)는 용접기(10)가 용접하는 용접 영역을 따라 실시간으로 센싱할 수 있다.
센서(20)는 용접물을 센싱한 용접물 데이터를 제어 장치(100)로 전송할 수 있다. 제어 장치(100)는 용접물 데이터를 수신하여 용접 결과를 모니터링 및 분석할 수 있다. 제어 장치(100)는 분석 결과에 따라 용접기(10)로 보수 용접 명령을 전송할 수 있다.
도 4는 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 용접 시스템이 동작하는 방법을 나타내는 래더 다이어 그램이다.
제어 장치(100)의 통신부(110)는 용접기(10)로 용접 명령을 전송할 수 있다(S10). 용접 명령은 앞에서 설명한 바와 동일하다.
제어 장치(100)의 통신부(110)는 센서(20)로 센싱 명령을 전송할 수 있다(S11). 센싱 명령 또한 앞에서 설명한 바와 동일하다.
용접기(10)는 용접 명령에 따라 용접 대상물(1)을 용접할 수 있다(S13).
용접기(10)는 용접 명령에 의해 용접 대상물(1) 전부 또는 일부를 용접할 수 있다. 한편, 제어 장치(100)가 센서(20)로 센싱 명령을 전송하는 단계 S11과, 용접기(10)가 용접 대상물을 용접하는 단계 S13의 순서는 변경될 수 있다.
센서(20)는 수신된 센싱 명령에 따라 용접된 용접물을 센싱할 수 있다(S15).
일 실시 예에 따르면, 센서(20)는 용접기(10)가 용접 대상물(1)을 용접하는 동안 용접물을 센싱할 수 있다. 즉, 센서(20)는 용접기(10)가 용접 대상물(1) 중 용접을 수행 중인 영역 또는 용접을 수행한 영역을 즉시 센싱하여, 용접물을 실시간에 가깝게 센싱할 수 있다.
다른 실시 예에 따르면, 센서(20)는 용접기(10)가 용접을 완료한 후 용접물을 센싱할 수 있다.
센서(20)는 센싱 명령에 포함된 데이터에 기초하여 용접물을 실시간으로 센싱하거나, 또는 용접이 완료된 후 센싱할 수 있다.
센서(20)는 용접물을 센싱함에 따라 센싱 결과 데이터를 획득할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 센서(20)는 포토다이오드 센서일 수 있고, 포토다이오드 센서는 용접물에 대한 광량 정보를 포함하는 센싱 결과 데이터를 획득할 수 있다.
센서(20)는 획득된 센싱 결과 데이터를 제어 장치(100)로 전송할 수 있다(S17).
제어 장치(100)의 통신부(110)는 센서(20)로부터 센싱 결과 데이터를 수신할 수 있다. 제어부(160)는 수신된 센싱 결과 데이터를 분석할 수 있다(S19).
일 실시 예에 따르면, 제어 장치(100)의 제어부(160)는 계측 파형을 출력하여 센싱 결과 데이터를 분석할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 센싱 결과 데이터는 광량 정보를 포함할 수 있고, 광량 정보는 광량을 나타내는 아날로그 신호일 수 있다. 제어 장치(100)의 분석부(120)는 광량 정보를 나타내는 아날로그 신호를 디지털 신호로 변환한 후, 변환된 디지털 신호에 기초하여 계측 파형을 출력할 수 있다. 제어 장치(100)의 제어부(160)는 출력된 계측 파형에 기초하여 용접 결과를 분석할 수 있다.
다른 실시 예에 따르면, 제어 장치(100)의 제어부(160)는 특징 추출 및 기계 학습을 통해 센싱 결과 데이터를 분석할 수 있다. 다음으로, 도 5를 참조하여, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 특징 추출 및 기계 학습을 통해 용접 결과를 센싱한 센싱 결과 데이터를 분석하는 방법을 설명한다.
도 5는 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 특징 추출 및 기계 학습을 통해 용접 결과를 센싱한 센싱 결과 데이터를 분석하는 방법을 설명하기 위한 순서도이다.
제어 장치(100)의 통신부(110)는 센싱 결과 데이터를 수신할 수 있다(S101).
제어 장치(100)의 분석부(120)는 통신부(110)를 통해 센싱 결과 데이터를 획득할 수 있다(S103).
분석부(120)는 센싱 결과 데이터를 분석/변환할 수 있다(S105).
예를 들어, 분석부(120)는 광량을 나타내는 아날로그 신호를 디지털 신호로 변환하여 계측 파형을 출력할 수 있다.

단계 S105 내지 S109 는 센싱 결과 데이터의 특징을 추출하는 방법으로, 앞에서 설명한 계측 파형을 출력하는 실시 예에도 적용 가능하다.

단계 S111 내지 S117 은 통계적 최적화하는 방법으로, 이전에 추출된 특징을 누적하여 센싱 결과 데이터 분석의 신뢰성을 향상시키기 위함이다.
분석부(120)는 연산한 데이터에 기초하여 양불 판정할 수 있다(S119).
즉, 분석부(120)는 연산한 데이터에 기초하여 센싱 결과의 품질을 판정할 수 있다.
분석부(120)는 가중치를 적용하여 최종 판정할 수 있다(S121).
분석부(120)는 도 5에 도시된 바와 같은 방법으로 센싱 결과 데이터를 분석할 수 있다. 그러나, 도 5에 도시된 방법은 예시적인 것에 불과하므로 이에 제한될 필요는 없다.
다시, 도 4를 설명한다.
분석부(120)는 센싱 결과 데이터의 분석 결과에 기초하여 용접물 유형을 판단할 수 있다(S21).
제어 장치(100)는 센싱 결과 데이터의 분석 결과 용접 결함의 형상 및 크기 등을 획득할 수 있고, 나아가 용접물 유형까지 획득할수도 있다.
여기서, 용접물 유형은 용접이 정상적으로 수행된 정상 용접물을 나타내는 유형과, 용접이 비정상적으로 수행된 불량 용접물을 나타내는 유형을 포함하고, 불량 용접물을 나타내는 유형은 용접 결함에 따라 상이한 적어도 하나 이상의 불량 용접물 유형을 포함할 수 있다.
분석부(120)는 센싱 결과 데이터의 분석 결과에 기초하여, 용접기(10)가 용접한 용접물이 정상 용접물인지, 불량 용접물인지 판단하고, 불량 용접물인 경우 어떤 종류의 불량 용접물인지 판단할 수 있다.
여기서, 불량 용접물은 용접 대상물에 용접한 결과 적어도 하나 이상의 용접 결함이 발생한 용접물을 나타낼 수 있다. 이 때, 불량 용접물에 발생한 용접 결함의 종류는 다양할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 터짐이 발생함에 따라 비정상적으로 용접되거나, 갭(Gap)이 발생하여 비정상적으로 용접될 수 있다. 그러나, 이는 예시적인 것에 불과하며, 비정상적 용접의 원인은 다양할 수 있다.
용접 결함의 종류에 따라 용접물의 형상, 크기 등이 상이할 수 있다. 따라서, 불량 용접물의 유형을 파악하고, 각 유형에 따라 보수 용접하면 용접 결함을 보다 완벽하게 제거할 수 있어 신뢰성을 향상시키는 이점이 있다.
분석부(120)는 메모리(130)에 저장된 용접물 판정 데이터에서 센싱 결과 데이터의 분석 결과와 일치하는 데이터를 획득하여 용접물 유형을 판단할 수 있다.
다음으로, 도 6과 도 7a 내지 도 7c를 참조하여, 용접물 판정 데이터 및 용접물 유형을 판단하는 방법을 설명한다.
도 6은 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 용접물 판정 데이터를 나타내는 예시 도면이다.
메모리(130)는 용접물 판정 데이터를 저장하고 있을 수 있다. 용접물 판정 데이터는 용접물 유형, 계측 파형 및 보수 용접 방법을 맵핑한 데이터를 포함할 수 있다.
도 6에 도시된 예시를 참고하면, 정상적으로 용접된 경우 용접물 유형은 Type 1을 나타내고, 계측 파형은 비교적 균일한 크기를 나타내고, 보수 용접 방법은 A1일 수 있다. 터짐에 의하여 비정상적으로 용접된 경우 용접물 유형은 Type 2를 나타내고, 계측 파형은 비교적 균일한 크기를 나타내다가 일 지점에서 피크(peak)를 나타내고, 보수 용접 방법은 B2일 수 있다. 갭(Gap)에 의하여 비정상적으로 용접된 경우 용접물 유형은 Type 3를 나타내고, 계측 파형은 비균일한 크기를 나타내고, 보수 용접 방법은 B3일 수 있다.
이 때, 보수 용접 방법 A1, B1, B2 각각은 각 결함 원인에 따른 결함 제거 방법일 수 있다. 정상적으로 용접된 경우를 나타내는 용접물 유형과 맵핑된 보수 용접 방법은 보수 용접을 실행하지 않는 방법일 수 있다.
한편, 용접물 유형을 나타내는 Type 1, Type 2, Type 3 등과, 보수 용접 방법을 나타내는 A1, B2, B3 등의 표현은 설명의 편의를 위해 예시적으로 든 것에 불과하고, 용접물 판정 데이터는 용접물 유형 각각과, 보수 용접 방법 각각을 다양한 방식으로 표현될 수 있다.
마찬가지로, 계측 파형은 용접기(10) 및 센서(20)의 종류에 따라 도 6에 도시된 예시와 상이할 수 있다. 도 6에 도시된 계측 파형은 용접기(10)가 레이저 용접기이고, 센서(20)가 포토 다이오드 센서인 경우의 계측 파형을 예시로 든 것에 불과하다.
구체적으로, 도 7a는 정상적으로 용접되는 경우를 나타내는 예시 도면이다.
용접기(10)는 용접 대상물(1)에 열 또는 압력을 가할 수 있다. 도면부호 11은 용접기(10)가 가하는 열 또는 압력을 시각화한 것이다. 만약, 용접기(10)가 레이저 용접기인 경우 도면부호 11은 레이저 빔을 나타낼 수 있다. 용접기(10)가 가하는 열 또는 압력이 안정적인 용융풀(2)을 형성하는 경우 정상적으로 용접될 수 있다. 따라서, 정상적으로 용접된 경우 용융풀(2)은 안정적으로 형성되기 때문에, 센서(20)가 측정하는 광량은 일정하므로 계측 파형은 균일한 크기를 나타낼 수 있다.
도 7b는 비정상적으로 용접되는 경우를 나타내는 제1 예시 도면이다.
용접기(10)가 가하는 열 또는 압력에 의해 터짐이 발생할 수 있다. 터짐이 발생하면 다량의 스패터(3)가 발생하여, 비정상적으로 용접될 수 있다. 여기서, 스패터(3)는 용접 중에 비산하는 슬래그나 금속 알갱이를 나타낼 수 있다. 따라서, 터짐에 의하여 비정상적으로 용접된 경우 다량의 스패터(3)로 인하여 광량 측정 대상의 표면적이 증가하고, 스패터(3)와 센서(2) 사이의 거리가 감소하여 상대적으로 센서(2)가 측정하는 광량이 증가할 수 있다. 이 경우 센서(2)가 측정하는 광량은 균일한 크기를 나타내다가 터짐이 발생한 지점에서 갑자기 증가할 수 있다.
도 7c는 비정상적으로 용접되는 경우를 나타내는 제2 예시 도면이다.
용접 대상물(1)에서 갭(4)이 발생하여 비정상적으로 용접될 수 있다. 갭(4)에 의하여 비정상적으로 용접된 경우 조사된 레이저 빔은 산란될 수 있고, 도면 부호 12는 산란된 빔을 나타낼 수 있다. 따라서, 갭에 의하여 비정상적으로 용접된 경우 용접 거리 변경에 따른 신호 크기 차이가 발생하고, 빔의 산란에 의하여 다량의 신호 피크가 발생할 수 있다. 이 경우 센서(2)가 측정하는 광량은 다량의 피크를 갖으며, 비균일한 크기를 나타낼 수 있다.
이와 같이, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 제어 장치(100)는 결함 원인에 따른 계측 파형과 각 계측 파형에 대응하는 용접물 유형 및 보수 용접 방법을 저장하고 있을 수 있다. 제어 장치(100)는 센싱 결과 데이터를 분석하여 용접물 유형을 판단할 수 있고, 센싱 결과 데이터는 센서(20)로부터 수신된 센싱 결과 데이터를 분석하여 획득한 계측 파형일 수 있다. 일 실시 예에 따르면, 계측 파형은 광량을 나타낼 수 있다.
다시, 도 4를 설명한다.
제어 장치(100)의 제어부(160)는 용접 불량인지 판단할 수 있다(S23).
제어부(160)는 용접물 유형을 판단한 결과, 정상 용접물인지 불량 용접물인지 판단할 수 있다. 제어부(160)는 용접물 유형이 정상이면 정상 용접으로 판단하고, 용접물 유형이 비정상이면 용접 불량으로 판단할 수 있다.
제어부(160)는 정상 용접인 경우 용접 결과 데이터를 디스플레이할 수 있다(S33). 또는, 제어부(160)는 정상 용접인 경우 용접을 종료할 수 있다. 실시 예에 따라 용접 결과 데이터를 디스플레이하는 단계는 생략될 수 있다.
제어부(160)는 용접 불량인 경우 용접 결과 데이터를 디스플레이할 수 있다(S25).
여기서, 용접 결과 데이터는 앞에서 설명한 바와 동일하다. 디스플레이부(140)는 용접이 수행된 용접물 이미지, 용접 품질, 용접물 유형 및 보수 용접 방법 중 적어도 하나 이상을 표시할 수 있다.
일 실시 예에 따르면, 도 4에 도시된 바와 같이, 제어부(160)는 보수 용접을 하기 전에 용접 결과 데이터를 표시하고, 보수 용접을 한 후 용접 결과 데이터를 또 표시할 수 있다.
다른 실시 예에 따르면, 제어부(160)는 보수 용접을 하기 이전에는 용접 결과 데이터의 표시 단계를 생략하고, 보수 용접을 한 후에만 용접 결과 데이터를 표시할 수도 있다.
제어부(160)는 재용접이 필요한지 판단할 수 있다(S27).
일 실시 예에 따르면, 제어부(160)는 용접물 유형에 기초하여 자동으로 재용접의 필요 여부를 판단할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 제어부(160)는 용접물 유형이 비정상 용접인 경우 재용접이 필요한 것으로 판단할 수 있다.
다른 실시 예에 따르면, 제어부(160)는 입력부(150)를 통해 보수 용접 실행 명령을 수신할 수 있고, 보수 용접 실행 명령에 따라 재용접이 필요한지 판단할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 제어부(170)는 입력부(150)가 보수 용접 실행 명령을 수신하면 재용접이 필요한 것으로 판단하고, 보수 용접 실행 명령을 수신하지 않으면 재용접이 필요하지 않은 것으로 판단할 수 있다.
제어부(160)는 재용접이 필요하지 않은 것으로 판단하면, 용접 결과 데이터를 디스플레이할 수 있다(S33).
제어부(160)는 재용접이 필요한 것으로 판단하면, 용접기(10)로 보수 용접 명령을 전송하고(S29), 센서(20)로 보수 용접 센싱 명령을 전송할 수 있다.
용접기(10)는 용접물 유형에 따라 용접 대상물을 보수 용접할 수 있다(S31).
다음으로, 본 발명의 다양한 실시 예에 따른 용접기(10)가 보수 용접하는 방법을 설명한다.
본 발명의 제1 실시 예에 따르면, 용접기(10)는 기 저장된 데이터베이스에 기초하여 보수 용접할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 용접기(10)는 앞에서 설명한 바와 같은 용접물 판정 데이터에 기초하여 용접물 유형에 대응하는 보수 용접 방법을 획득하여 보수 용접할 수 있다. 즉, 제어 장치(100)가 용접물 판정 데이터에 기초하여 용접물 유형에 맵핑하는 보수 용접 방법을 용접기(10)로 전송하고, 용접기(10)는 수신된 보수 용접 방법에 따라 보수 용접할 수 있다. 또는, 용접기(10) 내부에 보수 용접 방법에 대한 데이터베이스를 저장하고 있어, 수신된 용접물 유형에 대응하는 보수 용접 방법을 기 저장된 데이터베이스에서 획득하여 보수 용접할 수 있다.
본 발명의 제2 실시 예에 따르면, 용접기(10)는 용접물 전체를 재용접하면서, 용접 결함 영역을 보수 용접할 수 있다. 이와 같이, 용접물 전체를 재용접하면서 보수 용접하는 경우 작은 용접 결함까지 함께 보수할 수 있어 용접물 전체의 품질을 보다 더 향상시킬 수 있는 이점이 있다.
본 발명의 제3 실시 예에 따르면, 용접기(10)는 용접 결함에 해당하는 부분 영역만을 보수 용접할 수 있다. 용접기(10)는 제어 장치(100)로부터 용접 결함의 크기 및 위치 정보 등을 획득할 수 있다. 제어 장치(100)로부터 수신된 용접 명령에 용접 결함의 크기 및 위치 정보 등이 포함될 수 있다. 용접기(10)는 획득된 용접 결함의 크기 및 위치 정보에 기초하여, 용접 결함만이 제거되도록 보수 용접할 수 있다. 이 때, 용접기(10)는 용접 결함의 위치만을 보수 용접할 수 있다. 또는, 용접기(10)는 용접 결함의 위치를 포함하는 소정 영역을 보수 용접할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 용접기(10)는 용접 결함의 위치 +/1mm 영역까지 보수 용접할 수 있다.
용접기(10)는 앞에서 설명한 다양한 실시 예 중 어느 하나에 따라 보수 용접할 수 있다.
센서(20)는 보수 용접된 용접물을 센싱할 수 있다(S33).
보수 용접된 용접물을 센싱하는 방법은 단계 S15에서 설명한 용접된 용접물을 센싱하는 방법과 동일할 수 있다.
센서(20)는 보수 용접을 센싱한 센싱 결과 데이터를 제어 장치(100)로 전송할 수 있다(S34).
제어 장치(100)는 앞에서 설명한 단계 S19 내지 S35를 반복할 수 있다.
본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 용접 시스템은 이와 같이 용접을 하는 동시에 용접 결함의 발생시 보수 용접을 반복 실시할 수 있어, 단시간에 양질의 용접물을 제공 가능하며, 유출 불량을 최소화할 수 있는 이점이 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 용접 시스템은 용접을 하는 동시에 실시간으로 보수 용접까지 수행할 수 있는 이점이 있다. 이에 따라, 용접 후 별도의 품질 확인을 위한 추가 공정이 필요 없고, 투자비 감소로 인하여 비용 절감의 효과가 있다.
또한, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 용접 시스템은 기 갖고 있는 데이터 베이스를 활용하여 품질 판정 및 보수 용접할 뿐만 아니라, 양산 데이터를 추가적으로 확보 및 학습이 가능하여, 초기 불량 유출을 방지 및 학습을 통한 모니터링 적중률을 높이고 신뢰성을 향상시키는 이점이 있다.
이와 같은 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 용접 시스템은 전기 자동차 배터리용 Al, Cu 소재의 레이저 용접에 적용 가능하며, Al, Cu와 같은 이종 조합 및 Al 압축, Al 다이케스팅과 같은 제조 공법이 다른 조합별 용접에도 적용되어 용접 불량을 검출 및 피드백 제어를 통한 보수 용접할 수 있다.
본 발명의 일 실시 예에 의하면, 전술한 방법은, 프로그램이 기록된 매체에 프로세서가 읽을 수 있는 코드로서 구현하는 것이 가능하다. 프로세서가 읽을 수 있는 매체의 예로는, ROM, RAM, CD-ROM, 자기 테이프, 플로피 디스크, 광 데이터 저장장치 등이 있다.
이상의 설명은 본 발명의 기술 사상을 예시적으로 설명한 것에 불과한 것으로서, 본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자라면 본 발명의 본질적인 특성에서 벗어나지 않는 범위에서 다양한 수정 및 변형이 가능할 것이다. 상기와 같이 설명된 용접 시스템은 상기 설명된 실시 예들의 구성과 방법이 한정되게 적용될 수 있는 것이 아니라, 상기 실시 예들은 다양한 변형이 이루어질 수 있도록 각 실시 예들의 전부 또는 일부가 선택적으로 조합되어 구성될 수도 있다.
따라서, 본 발명에 개시된 실시 예들은 본 발명의 기술 사상을 한정하기 위한 것이 아니라 설명하기 위한 것이고, 이러한 실시 예에 의하여 본 발명의 기술 사상의 범위가 한정되는 것은 아니다.
본 발명의 보호 범위는 아래의 청구범위에 의하여 해석되어야 하며, 그와 동등한 범위 내에 있는 모든 기술 사상은 본 발명의 권리범위에 포함되는 것으로 해석되어야 할 것이다.

Claims (12)

  1. 용접 대상물을 용접하는 용접기;
    상기 용접기에 의해 용접된 용접물을 센싱하는 센서; 및
    상기 센서로부터 용접물을 센싱한 제1 센싱 결과 데이터를 수신 받고, 제1 센싱 결과 데이터에 기초하여 용접물을 분석하고, 상기 분석 결과에 기초하여 상기 용접기가 보수 용접을 수행하도록 보수 용접 명령을 전송하는 제어 장치를 포함하는 용접 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 제어 장치는
    상기 용접물을 분석하여 용접물 유형을 판단하고, 상기 용접물 유형에 따라 보수 용접을 수행하도록 상기 용접기를 제어하는 용접 시스템.
  3. 제2항에 있어서,
    상기 제어 장치는
    복수의 용접물 유형과, 복수의 용접물 유형 각각에 대응하는 용접물 계측 파형 및 보수 용접 방법을 맵핑한 용접물 판정 데이터를 저장하고 있는 용접 시스템.
  4. 제2항에 있어서,
    상기 용접물 유형은
    정상 용접물 유형과, 용접 결함에 따라 상이한 복수의 불량 용접물 유형을 포함하는 용접 시스템.
  5. 제4항에 있어서,
    상기 제어 장치는
    상기 용접물 유형이 제1 불량 용접물 유형이면 제1 보수 용접 방법에 따라 보수 용접하도록 용접기를 제어하고,
    상기 용접물 유형이 제2 불량 용접물 유형이면 제2 보수 용접 방법에 따라 보수 용접하도록 용접기를 제어하는 용접 시스템.
  6. 제2항에 있어서,
    상기 센서는
    보수 용접된 용접물을 센싱하여 상기 제어 장치로 제2 센싱 결과 데이터를 전송하고,
    상기 제어 장치는
    제2 센싱 결과 데이터에 기초하여 용접물을 분석하는 용접 시스템.
  7. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 용접기는 레이저 용접기이고,
    상기 센서는 포토다이오드이며,
    상기 센싱 결과 데이터는 상기 용접물에서 측정되는 광량을 포함하는 용접 시스템.
  8. 용접기로 용접 명령을 전송하고, 상기 용접 명령에 따라 용접된 용접물을 센싱한 센싱 결과 데이터를 센서로부터 수신하는 통신부;
    상기 센싱 경과 데이터에 기초하여 용접물을 분석하는 분석부; 및
    상기 분석 결과에 기초하여 상기 용접기가 보수 용접을 수행하도록 용접기로 보수 용접 명령을 전송하도록 상기 통신부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 제어 장치.
  9. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 제어부는
    상기 용접물을 분석하여 용접물 유형을 판단하고, 상기 용접물 유형에 따라 보수 용접을 수행하도록 상기 용접기를 제어하는 제어 장치.
  10. 제8항에 있어서,
    복수의 용접물 유형과, 복수의 용접물 유형 각각에 대응하는 용접물 계측 파형 및 보수 용접 방법을 맵핑한 용접물 판정 데이터를 저장하는 메모리를 더 포함하는 제어 장치.
  11. 제8항에 있어서,
    용접 결과 데이터를 표시하는 디스플레이부를 더 포함하는 제어 장치.
  12. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 제어부는
    상기 분석 결과 정상 용접으로 판단되면 용접을 종료하고, 불량 용접으로 판단되면 보수 용접을 수행하도록 제어하는 제어 장치.
