Abstract
Description
本願は、2018年2月1日に日本に出願された特願2018-016279号について優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。
なお、第1の距離センサによって、切削インサートで加工された外径、内径、真円度および径方向を向く面の面粗さなどを測定できる。
なお、第2の距離センサによって、切削インサートで段部、孔底部の軸方向位置および軸方向を向く加工面の面粗さなどを測定できる。
図1は、本実施形態の旋削工具1の斜視図である。図2は、旋削工具1の平面図である。図3は、旋削工具1の正面図である。
なお、以下の説明において特に断りのない限り、工具軸Jに平行な方向を単に「軸方向」と呼び、工具軸Jを中心とする径方向を単に「径方向」と呼び、工具軸Jを中心とする周方向、すなわち、工具軸Jの軸周りを単に「周方向」と呼ぶ。
なお、切削インサート20の形状は、本実施形態に限定されない。
第1の距離センサ31および第2の距離センサ32は、工具本体10の周囲であって第1の距離センサ31および第2の距離センサ32に正対する位置に存在する対象物(切削インサートにより形成した加工面)までの距離を、それぞれ測定する。本実施形態において、第1の距離センサ31および第2の距離センサ32は、白色同軸共焦点方式の光学距離センサである。
なお、第1の距離センサ31によって、切削インサート20で加工された外径、内径、真円度および径方向を向く加工面の面粗さなどを測定できる。
なお、第2の距離センサ32によって、切削インサート20で段部、孔底部の軸方向位置および軸方向を向く加工面の面粗さなどを測定できる。
また、図2に示すように、第1の距離センサ31の検出部31aは、工具本体10の外周面10cに対して径方向内側に奥まって配置される。同様に、第2の距離センサ32の検出部32aは、工具本体10の先端面に対して軸方向基端側に奥まって配置される。このため、検出部31a、32aを切屑から保護することができる。
次に、本実施形態の旋削工具1を用いた旋削方法について説明する。
図4A~図4Dは、本実施形態の旋削方法の一例の手順を示す図である。
図4A~図4Dに示すように、本実施形態の旋削方法における被削材Wは、段差付きの貫通孔40を有する。貫通孔40は、段差面43と、段差面43に対して軸方向一方側の大径部41と、段差面43に対して軸方向他方側の小径部42とを有する。本実施形態の旋削方法は、貫通孔40の大径部41および段差面43の内周面の仕上げ加工を行う加工方法である。
第1の旋削工程では、被削材Wを主軸O周りに回転させながら行う。第1の旋削工程では、まず、旋削工具1の工具軸Jを主軸Oと平行とした状態で、切刃22の径方向外端を、大径部41の内周面の径方向の目標寸法(目標位置)に位置合わせする。さらに、旋削工具1を軸方向先端に沿って移動させ、大径部41の内周面に切削インサート20の切刃22に接触させる。次いで、切刃22を大径部41の内周面に接触させた状態で、旋削工具1を軸方向先端に移動させる。これにより、大径部41の内周面を切刃22により旋削加工することができる。
第2の旋削工程では、第1の旋削工程に引き続き、被削材Wを主軸O周りに回転させながら行う。第2の旋削工程では、まず、切刃22の軸方向最先端を、段差面43の軸方向の目標寸法(目標位置)に位置合わせする。次いで、切削インサート20の切刃22を大径部41と段差面43との角部に接触した状態から、段差面43に接触した状態を維持しつつ径方向内側に移動させる。これにより、段差面43を切刃22により旋削加工することができる。
なお、本実施形態では、第1の旋削工程の後に第2の旋削工程を実施する場合について説明したが、この順序は逆でもよい。また、第1の旋削工程および第2の旋削工程において、切刃22の移動方向は逆向きであってもよい。
第1の測定工程では、まず、旋削工具1を径方向に移動して、第1の距離センサ31の検出部31aを、大径部41の内周面に対向させる。このとき、大径部41の内周面を検出部31aの検知範囲内に位置させる。この状態で、被削材Wを主軸O周りに低速で回転させながら、第1の距離センサ31によって、大径部41の内周面の寸法又は面粗さなどを、周方向に沿う複数点において測定する。なお、第1の測定工程における被削材の回転速度は、第1の距離センサ31の応答速度に応じて、適宜設定される。一例として、第1の測定工程における被削材の回転速度は、10°/分である。
なお、第1の距離センサ31による大径部41の内周面の測定時に、旋削工具1を工具軸Jの基端側に移動させてもよい。この場合は、内周面において軸方向に並ぶ複数点の位置を測定できる。
第1の測定工程では、測定開始前に予めコントローラ39が工作機械から第1の距離センサ31の位置情報を入手する。
次いで、コントローラ39は、大径部41の内径の測定を行うか否かを判断し、測定が不要であれば第1の測定工程を終了する。
次いで、コントローラ39は、工作機械に旋削工具1を移動させる指令を出す。これにより、第1の距離センサ31の検知範囲内に加工面を位置させるように、旋削工具1を移動させる。
次いで、コントローラ39は、第1の距離センサ31を起動して、第1の距離センサ31による測定を開始する。
次いで、コントローラ39は、第1の距離センサ31の位置情報と測定結果から大径部41の内径を演算し記憶する作業を開始する。
次いで、コントローラ39は、被削材Wを主軸O周りに低速回転させるように工作機械に指令を出す。
さらに、被削材Wの回転角度の合計が360°となったと判定した後に、大径部41の平均の内径および真円度を演算して出力する。
第2の測定工程では、まず、旋削工具1を軸方向に移動して、第2の距離センサ32の検出部32aを段差面43に対向させる。このとき、段差面43を検出部32aの測定点32cの検知範囲内に位置させる。第2の距離センサ32によって、段差面43の位置又は面粗さなどを測定する。
なお、第2の距離センサ32による段差面43の測定時に、被削材Wを主軸O周りに低速で回転させてもよい。この場合は、段差面43内の複数点の位置を測定できる。
第2の測定工程では、測定開始前に予めコントローラ39が工作機械から第2の距離センサ32の位置情報を入手する。
次いで、コントローラ39は、段差面43の深さの測定を行うか否かを判断し、測定が不要であれば第2の測定工程を終了する。
次いで、コントローラ39は、工作機械に旋削工具1を移動させる指令を出す。これにより、第2の距離センサ32の検知範囲内に加工面を位置させるように、旋削工具1を移動させる。
次いで、コントローラ39は、第2の距離センサ32を起動して、第2の距離センサ32による測定を開始する。
次いで、コントローラ39は、第2の距離センサ32の位置情報と測定結果から段差面43の深さを演算し記憶する。
さらに、記憶した段差面43の深さを出力する。
旋削工程(第1および第2の旋削工程)並びに測定工程(第1および第2の測定工程)の後には、比較工程が行われる。
比較工程では、コントローラ39は、旋削工程における加工面の目標位置と、測定工程において測定した加工面の測定位置と、を比較して差分を算出する。
図8は、IoTを実現した旋削工具1の構成例を示す模式図である。
例えば、上述の実施形態では、旋削工具としてボーリングバーを例示した。しかしながら、旋削工具は、旋盤を用いた加工に用いるものであればよく、例えば外径加工用の工具であってもよい。

請求項7に記載の旋削方法。 - 前記比較工程における前記差分に応じて、前記被削材を前記旋削工具によって追加工する追加工工程を有する、
請求項8に記載の旋削方法。 - 前記比較工程において、前記差分が閾値を超えた場合に、前記切削インサートを交換する切削インサート交換工程を有する、
請求項8又は9に記載の旋削方法。 - 前記旋削工程における前記加工面の目標位置と、前記測定工程において測定した前記加工面の測定位置と、前記切削インサートを用いて加工を行った前記被削材の累積加工量と、を、ネットワークを介して外部サーバに蓄積する、
請求項8に記載の旋削方法。 - 前記外部サーバには、交換が必要となる前記切削インサートの摩耗量の閾値データが予め記憶され、
前記外部サーバは、前記閾値データを、ネットワークを介して前記旋削工具又は前記旋削工具が取り付けられる工作機械に送信する、
請求項11に記載の旋削方法。 - 前記外部サーバは、前記目標位置と前記測定位置との差分が、前記閾値データを超えた場合の前記累積加工量を、限界累積加工量として記憶する、
請求項12に記載の旋削方法。 - 前記外部サーバは、前記累積加工量が前記限界累積加工量に近づいたときにネットワークを介して前記旋削工具又は前記工作機械に前記切削インサートの交換時期が近付いていることを通知する通知信号を送信する、
請求項13に記載の旋削方法。 - 前記通知信号を受信したときに前記比較工程を行い、前記目標位置と前記測定位置との差分が、前記閾値データより大きい場合に、前記切削インサートを交換する、
請求項14に記載の旋削方法。 - 前記旋削工程における加工条件を、ネットワークを介して前記外部サーバに蓄積する、請求項11~15の何れか一項に記載の旋削方法。
- 前記加工条件には、前記切削インサートの種類、前記被削材の種類、前記被削材の直径、前記主軸の回転速度、前記旋削工具による切り込み量および前記旋削工具の送り速度のうち、少なくとも1つを含む、
請求項16に記載の旋削方法。 - 前記外部サーバには、交換が必要となる前記切削インサートの摩耗量の閾値データが予め記憶され、
前記外部サーバは、前記旋削工具によるn回目の前記比較工程における前記差分が、n-1回目の前記比較工程における前記差分に対して小さくなった場合に前記切削インサートが交換されたと判断し、
前記外部サーバは、前記切削インサートが交換された際の前記差分が前記閾値データを超えていない場合に、n-1回目までの前記加工条件および前記累積加工量を特殊事例として記憶する、
請求項16又は17に記載の旋削方法。 - 前記外部サーバは、ネットワークを介して複数の前記旋削工具に繋がっている、請求項11~18の何れか一項に記載の旋削方法。
