Definitions

  • the present application relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a communication method and apparatus.
  • a network device and a terminal device need to go through four steps (hereinafter referred to as 4-step RACH): the network device broadcasts to all terminal devices in the coverage area through system information. Random access resources that can be used.
  • the terminal device in the uplink out-of-synchronization state may select a random access preamble and send the selected random access preamble on the random access physical channel indicated by the network device.
  • the message that sends the random access preamble is also called “message 1" (message1, Msg1).
  • the network device After receiving the random access preamble sent by the terminal device, the network device sends a random access response (RAR), also called “message 2" (Msg2), to the terminal device.
  • RAR random access response
  • the RAR includes information such as a network temporary identifier and a timing advance amount allocated to the terminal device. Since different terminal devices may select the same physical channel to send the same random access preamble, causing the network device to be unable to distinguish different terminal devices, the terminal device may send a message 3 (message3, Msg3) to the network device, which may also be called a radio resource. Control connection request (RRC connection request). Message 3 includes the terminal equipment identification (UE-ID) and some specific data. After receiving the message 3, the network device selects the successfully decoded terminal device and sends a message 4 (message4, Msg4) after the random access succeeds, which may also be referred to as a conflict resolution message.
  • UE-ID terminal equipment identification
  • the -step RACH can be simplified to two steps (hereinafter referred to as 2-step RACH).
  • the terminal device can send message 1 and message 3 of 4-step RACH.
  • the network device sends a 4-step RACH message 2 and a message 4 to the terminal device.
  • 2-step RACH can reduce the delay of the random access procedure compared to 4-step RACH, but retransmission after failure will be more complicated than 4-step RACH. Specifically, after the 2-step RACH message 1 is sent, there may be four cases: 1.
  • Message 1 and Message 3 are correctly received by the network device; 2. Message 1 is correctly received by the network device, but the message 3 fails to receive; , Message 1 and Message 3 both failed to receive; 4. Message 1 failed to receive, and Message 3 received successfully.

Description

其中,RAPID(random access preamble id)为随机接入前导索引。
c init=(2 17(14n s+l)+RV*2 11+cellId)mod 2 31
Figure PCTCN2019078675-appb-000001
Figure PCTCN2019078675-appb-000002
