Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of machinery, and more particularly to the field of engines, and more particularly to a composite engine braking method and a turbocharger control device.
- a turbocharger commonly used in diesel engines uses a gas discharged from an engine to drive a turbocharger turbine, and a turbine drives a compressor coaxially connected thereto to air Press into the intake manifold and cylinder.
- the turbocharger can control exhaust gas flow and pressure through a wastegate or variable scroll.

- the energy absorbed by the compressed gas of the engine during the compression stroke cannot be returned to the piston of the engine in the subsequent expansion (work) stroke, but is released through the exhaust and heat dissipation system of the engine.
- the end result is effective engine braking that slows down the speed of the vehicle.
- the power and load of the engine brake increase with the increase of the speed.
- the engine In actual use, the engine mostly runs at medium and low speeds. How to improve the medium and low speed engine system without increasing the brake load (no overload) Dynamic power is a priority.

If engine braking is not required or the engine braking conditions are not met (for example, the engine speed is not high enough, the clutch is not geared, etc.)
- the engine's control unit (ECU) performs non-braking (eg, ignition) operational control, ie steps a)-b) above. Conversely, if engine braking is required and engine braking conditions are met, then it is necessary to determine if air boost is required, ie, step c) above. If air boost is not required (eg brake speed is too high, brake load is too high, etc.), only the engine brake is turned on, ie step d) above.

- the direction in which the air boosting mechanism injects compressed air into the exhaust runner may be: perpendicular to the flow of exhaust gas within the exhaust runner 24; or may be at an acute angle to the direction of the exhaust stream within the exhaust runner 24 (ie, along the direction) 3 is injected downward into the turbine 228), which is more advantageous for increasing the flow of air between the turbine blades of the turbine in the turbocharger, increasing the speed of the turbine blades; or with the exhaust gas flow within the exhaust runners 24
- the direction is obtuse (i.e., sprayed upward into the exhaust runner 24 along Figure 3).
- the engine 30 illustrated in Figure 4 is an in-line six-cylinder machine identified as C1, C2, C3, C4, C5 and C6, respectively.

- the gas of the gas manifold 22 forms an exhaust gas stream at the junction 23 into the exhaust gas flow passage 24 and enters the inlet 211 or 212 of the turbine at the joint 25 where the exhaust gas flow passage 24 is connected to the turbine 228.
- the nozzle of the air boosting mechanism is disposed at a junction 25 of the outlet of the exhaust runner 24 and the inlet of the turbine, selectively injecting compressed air into one of the two exhaust runners 24 near the inlet of the turbine, but It is also possible to simultaneously jet air into the two exhaust runners 24.
- air boosting mechanism When the air boosting mechanism is activated, air is injected into the exhaust runner by an air boosting mechanism to change the airflow between the turbine blades of the turbine in the turbocharger to change the rotational speed of the turbine blades.
- the direction in which the air boosting mechanism injects compressed air into the exhaust runner may be perpendicular to the flow of exhaust gas within the exhaust runner 24 or at an acute angle to the direction of the exhaust stream within the exhaust runner 24 (ie, along the direction) 4 is sprayed downward into turbine 228) or at an obtuse angle to the direction of exhaust flow within exhaust runner 24 (i.e., upwardly into exhaust passage 24 as shown in FIG. 4).
- the air charging mechanism injecting compressed air into the exhaust runner includes another manner of providing an intake hole in the turbine casing of the turbocharger 210, the end of the outlet pipe and the intake port. Connected.
- the air boosting mechanism when the air pressure boosting mechanism is activated, the air boosting mechanism is used to inject air into the turbine blades in the turbine through the intake holes to increase the rotational speed of the turbine.
- the compressed air is directly injected from the intake hole on the turbine casing to the turbine blade through the above-mentioned control valve and the above air guiding pipe, and the turbine blade and compression are increased.
- the speed of the machine increases the intake air volume and intake air pressure, thereby increasing the braking power generated by the engine brake.

- the vehicle air compressor or the air tank is used to directly inject compressed air from the air injection hole on the compressor casing through the control valve and the air outlet pipe.
- the compression impeller increases the rotational speed of the compression impeller, increases the intake air volume and the intake air pressure, thereby increasing the braking power generated by the engine brake.

- fuel such as diesel
- fuel is injected into the cylinder to mix with the compressed air, compression ignition and continue to burn during the next expansion (or work) stroke, generating gas expansion, and stopping the piston 33 from compression.
- the exhaust stroke of the engine the piston 33 moves from the expansion bottom dead center to the exhaust top dead center, the engine exhaust valve 300 opens, and the burned gas is discharged from the cylinder 35 to the exhaust manifold 22.
- the main difference between engine braking operation and ignition operation is that it does not inject or burn when braking, and temporarily converts the engine that generates power into an air compressor that absorbs energy.
- the simplest engine brake is the out-of-cylinder brake, which is the use of the engine's pressure control mechanism, such as the butterfly valve system 128, to close the exhaust pipe of the engine, cut off the exhaust gas flow, so that the exhaust back pressure is increased, the engine is exhausting The resistance of the upward movement of the piston 33 during the stroke increases, resulting in engine braking.
- the closing of the butterfly valve is produced by compressed air.
- the air 400 is compressed and boosted by the air compressor 141, and then supplied to the cylinder 148 that drives the butterfly valve through the air ducts 143 and 147 and the control valve 145.
- the advantage of out-of-cylinder braking (such as butterfly valve braking) is that it is simple and easy, but the disadvantages are poor braking performance, high exhaust temperature, and excessive volume of the exhaust butterfly valve.
- a more complicated and effective engine brake is in-cylinder braking.
- the exhaust valve is opened again at the end of the compression stroke of the engine piston, allowing the compressed gas (air during braking) to be released.
- the energy absorbed by the compressed gas of the engine during the compression stroke cannot be returned to the piston of the engine in the subsequent expansion stroke, but is released through the exhaust and heat dissipation system of the engine.
- the end result is effective engine braking that slows down the speed of the vehicle.
- the advantage of in-cylinder braking (such as compression release type braking) is that the braking performance is better, but its structure and implementation are more complicated, the braking load is higher, and the noise is very large.
- the best engine braking is the so-called combined braking, which means that both in-cylinder and out-of-cylinder braking are used.
- the combined brake has improved braking performance, reduced brake load and no noise.
- the exhaust gas temperature is further increased, causing some components of the engine, such as the injector, to overheat.
- An effective way to solve the above-mentioned overheating problem is to use a variable exhaust back pressure control device, but the additional problems caused by this are increased cost, increased space, and complicated control.

Description

a)判断发动机在某一转速下运转时是否需要发动机制动;
b)如果需要发动机制动,判断是否满足发动机制动所需条件;
c)如果满足发动机制动所需条件,判断是否需要启动所述空气喷射机构;
d)如果不需要启动所述空气喷射机构,执行直接开启发动机制动器进行制动;
实施例2(CN201810353337.9和CN201820559905.6)
实施例3(CN201810935370.2)
