Abstract
Description
車両30のメモリ31に記憶されたデータのうち、走行計画に沿った走行に使用される地図データの更新の要否を判定する。地図データの更新が必要であると判定した場合には、コントローラ13は、地図データの更新を許可するか否かをユーザに問い合わせる旨を示す問い合わせ信号を、サーバ通信機12を介して、通信端末20に送信する。コントローラ13は、サーバ通信機12を介して、地図データの更新を許可する旨の許可信号を受信した場合には、地図データの更新を指示する指示データを含む更新指示信号を、サーバ通信機12を介して、車載通信機32に送信する。これにより、ユーザが車両に乗車しているか否かに関わらず、車両30のメモリ33に記憶さえた地図データの更新を更新させることができる。また、ユーザが車両に乗車する前に、地図データを更新できるため、ユーザは乗車後、すぐに最新地図を利用できる。また、車両30は、地図データの更新と共に、ユーザが指定した走行経路をナビゲーションシステムで設定できるため、ユーザは、乗車後、ナビゲーションシステムの操作が不要になる。また、車両30の乗車後、地図データを最新版に更新するための時間が不要になるため、地図データの更新中によってナビゲーションシステムの利用が中断するような事態を回避できる。

Claims (8)
- 車両に搭載された車載通信機及びユーザにより操作される通信端末と通信を行う通信機と、
コントローラとを備え、
前記コントローラは、
前記通信機を介して、前記通信端末から前記車両の走行計画に関する走行計画データを取得し、
前記車両の記録媒体に記憶されたデータのうち、前記走行計画に沿った走行に使用される地図データの更新の要否を判定し、
前記地図データの更新が必要であると判定した場合には、前記地図データの更新を許可するか否かを前記ユーザに問い合わせる旨を示す問い合わせ信号を、前記通信機を介して、前記通信端末に送信し、
前記通信機を介して、前記通信端末より前記地図データの更新を許可する旨の許可信号を受信した場合には、前記地図データの更新を指示する指示データを含む更新指示信号を、前記通信機を介して、前記車載通信機に送信する情報処理装置。 - 請求項1記載の情報処理装置において、
前記走行計画は、前記車両の目的地、前記車両の出発地、前記車両の走行ルート、前記ユーザが前記車両に乗車する乗車時間、前記ユーザに関する情報、及び、前記車両の走行目的のうち少なくとも1つの要素を含む情報処理装置。 - 請求項1又は2記載の情報処理装置において、
前記コントローラは、前記地図データの更新履歴に基づき、更新の要否を判定する情報処理装置。 - 請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の情報処理装置において、
前記コントローラは、前記車両が所定の通信ネットワークに接続されているか否か、または、所定の通信ネットワークに接続可能であるか否かを示す信号を、前記問い合わせ信号とともに、前記通信機を介して、前記通信端末に送信する情報処理装置。 - 前記所定の通信ネットワークは、携帯電話通信網またはローカルエリアネットワークである請求項4記載の情報処理装置。
- 請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の情報処理装置において、
前記走行計画は、出発地から目的地までの走行経路を含み、
前記コントローラは、前記車両の記録媒体に記憶されたデータのうち、前記走行計画に沿った走行に使用される前記地図データの更新履歴に基づき、更新の要否を判定する情報処理装置。 - サーバ、ユーザにより操作される通信端末、及び車両を含む、情報処理システムであって、
前記車両は、地図データを記憶する記憶媒体と、前記サーバと通信可能な車載通信機とを備え、
前記サーバは、前記通信端末及び前記車載通信機と通信を行う通信機と、コントローラとを備え、
前記コントローラは、
前記通信機を介して、前記通信端末から車両の走行計画に関する走行計画データを取得し、
前記車両の記録媒体に記憶されたデータのうち、前記走行計画に沿った走行に使用される地図データの更新の要否を判定し、
前記地図データの更新が必要であると判定した場合には、前記地図データの更新を許可するか否かを前記ユーザに問い合わせる旨を示す問い合わせ信号を、前記通信機を介して、前記通信端末に送信し、
前記通信機を介して、前記地図データの更新を許可する旨の許可信号を受信した場合には、前記地図データの更新を指示する指示データを含む更新指示信号を、前記通信機を介して、前記車載通信機に送信する情報処理システム。 - 車両に搭載された車載通信機及びユーザにより操作される通信端末と通信を行う通信機と、コントローラと用いて、情報を処理する処理方法であって、
前記コントローラは、
前記通信機を介して、前記通信端末から前記車両の走行計画に関する走行計画データを取得し、
前記車両の記録媒体に記憶されたデータのうち、前記走行計画に沿った走行に使用される地図データの更新の要否を判定し、
前記地図データの更新が必要であると判定した場合には、前記地図データの更新を許可するか否かを前記ユーザに問い合わせる旨を示す問い合わせ信号を、前記通信機を介して、前記通信端末に送信し、
前記通信機を介して、前記通信端末より前記地図データの更新を許可する旨の許可信号を受信した場合には、前記地図データの更新を指示する指示データを含む更新指示信号を、前記通信機を介して、前記車載通信機に送信する情報処理方法。
