Definitions
- the present invention relates to a bone fixation system, and more particularly, to a distal radius fixation system for fracture surgery of a distal radius.
- the fixing system promotes treatment by compressing fractured bone fragments (Bone fragments, bone fragments) for the treatment of a patient's fracture and pulling the bone fragments in close contact with each other.
- the fixing system includes a bone plate and a bone screw, and is also referred to as a bone plate system.
- the plate may include a hole in which an internal thread is formed and a hole in which a female thread is not formed.
- This screw has a locking screw in which an external thread is formed in the head and a non-locking screw in which the male thread is not formed in the head. Both locking and non-locking screws have a shaft on which male threads are formed to be joined to the bone.
- the locking screw can fix the angle of the shaft that is coupled to the bone by being coupled to the female screw of the bone plate formed on the head.
- the non-locking screw can be coupled to the bone at various angles.
- the radial bone refers to the bone on the lateral side, that is, the outer side of the two bones that make up the lower arm bone.
- fractures of the distal radius have been increased due to sports activities and the increase of the elderly population. Fractures of the distal radius often result in a fractured fracture or a complex fracture pattern.
- Surgical treatment of distal radial fractures includes various surgical methods such as percutaneous K-wire fixation, external fixation, external fixation and K-wire fixation, and internal fixation. Internal fixation allows for stable internal fixation and early joint exercise using various bone fixation systems.
