Description
MEASURING DEVICE
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention relates to a measure for portioning a beverage ingredient, a beverage base. BACKGROUND Prior art comprises various ways of preparing beverages by mixing or possibly processing two or more constituent components.
Common measuring units such as for instance tablespoons, coffee cups and glasses or measures of volume such as centilitre, decilitre and litre are frequently used in recipes for preparing beverages or the like. The former measurement indications are never exact, as the size of two coffee cups can vary considerably, which gives an uncertain result in the preparation. The latter measurement indications are more exact, but do not allow for complete variation in the preparation. The risk is that the amount of beverage prepared becomes too small or too large and has the wrong strength and gives a false taste experience.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The object of this invention is to offer a measure that ensures portioning of a beverage ingredient, a beverage base, thereby ensuring that the strength and/or taste turns out as planned and is the best for the final beverage.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS
The invention relates to a measure 1 for measuring an amount of beverage base, which is to be mixed in a vessel with a fluid beverage part, an ingredient. The measure 1 comprises a volume receiving moiety 2, which is continuously adjustable in terms of size to vary according to choice a fillable volume of the beverage base in the volume-receiving moiety 2.
Due to the continuous adjustment, the amount of the beverage base can be adjusted according to other persons' instructions or according to one's own liking and taste, thus obtaining a final beverage with the desired strength and taste.
The volume-receiving moiety 2 comprises at least two interacting combination moieties 3 and 4, wherein at least one 3 comprises a portion 5 interacting with the second combination moiety 4, which enables continuous movement of the two combination moieties 3 and 4 relative to each other to increase or reduce the volume in the volume-receiving moiety 2.
The first combination moiety 3 is annular, circular, tubular and comprises a first portion 5, interacting with the second combination moiety 4, in its lower part. The second combination moiety 4 has the shape of an open container that comprises a bottom 6 that delimits the volume-receiving moiety 2, and an annular, circular, tubular limiting surface 7 oriented upwards from this bottom, comprising a second interacting portion 8, in its open end oriented towards the first combination moiety 3.
The continuous movement must take place with good precision and accuracy. The combination moieties 3 and 4 comprise a first 5 and a second portion 8, wherein the portions comprise grooves and protruding portions, respectively, and wherein the protruding portions travel in the grooves and allow for continuous movement, displacement of the two interacting combination moieties relative to each other. The grooves and the protruding portions, respectively, can be placed on the first or the second combination moiety according to choice. The grooves and the protruding portions are a thread construction that enables an exact movement of the combination moieties relative to each other and also has a retaining function, when the desired measure size is set.
The measure's grooves 5 or 8 respectively the protruding portions 8 or 5 travel around the respective combination moiety 3 and 4 in a helical formation and enable movement,
displacement of the two combination moieties 3 and 4 relative to each other by twisting clockwise or anti-clockwise to increase or reduce the volume of the measure 1.
A predetermined movement/displacement of the combination moieties 3 and 4 relative to each other correspond to a specific amount, volume, alternatively weight of the beverage base, corresponding to a specific final beverage with a certain strength and/or taste.
Many beverages and the beverage base used as starting point involve measuring the weight of the beverage base to ensure the result. To facilitate the preparation itself, a conversion has been made, so that a certain volume in a measure 1 corresponds to a certain weight. Depending on the beverage base to be measured, the measure is calibrated for suitable volumes and hence weights.
At least one of the combination moieties comprises a marker 9, which indicates, renders visible and makes clear a performed movement, displacement, twisting of the combination moieties 3 and 4 relative to each other.
The marker can be configured in many different ways to make the reading more or less simple. The marker 9 indicates a revolution movement, as one revolution corresponds to a specific amount of beverage base. The marker 9 can also indicate parts of a revolution movement, corresponding to a specific amount of beverage base.
The marker 9 comprises two moieties 3a and 3b placed on each combination moiety and in a basic position, they are located facing each other. In the case of movement of the two combination moieties 3 and 4 relative to each other, a displacement of the two marker moieties 3a and 4a relative to each other indicates increased or reduced volume, weight.
The measure 1 also comprises a strickle 10, which removes the amount of beverage base that is located above the volume-receiving moiety 2 to control the space of, limit the volume receiving moiety 2 and ensure that the correct amount of beverage base is measured. The measure 1 comprises a handle 11 for holding and guiding the measure 1 down and up in a container with beverage base. The handle 11 is attached to the volume-receiving moiety 2, at the first combination moiety 3. The strickle 10 is arranged to interact with the handle 11, so that the strickle 10 can be moved lengthwise of the handle and in above the volume-receiving moiety, so that the beverage base located above and thereby outside the measure is swept
away from the volume-receiving moiety. The strickle 10 comprises a force-receiving, force directing moiety 10a, by which it is possible, with a hand or a finger or several fingers or the like, to displace the strickle lengthwise of the handle 11 in the direction towards and from the volume-receiving moiety 2.
The strickle 10 comprises a completely or partially annular moiety 12 and an elongate portion 13, which interacts with the upper side 11a of the handle and is attached to the annular moiety 12. The annular moiety 12 constitutes the upper portion 2a of the volume-receiving moiety and during movement of the strickle 10, the annular moiety 12 pushes away the beverage base located in or above the annular moiety 12. Annular also implies other semi-annular shapes or parts of an annular shape as long as the shape causes the beverage base above the first combination moiety 3 to be swept away when the strickle 10 is guided in above the first combination moiety 3.
The elongate portion 13 of the strickle 10 comprises, on the side 13a that abuts against and interacts with the handle 11, one or more structures 14 that interact with one or several second structures 15 in the handle 11 for displaceable interaction.
The first structures 14 in the elongate portion 13 comprise protruding moieties that interact with the second structure 15, which comprises recesses in the handle 11, into which the protruding moieties are inserted.
The handle (11) comprises in its free outer end a portion (lib), which, when the measure (1) is laid on a plane surface, a plane foundation, constitutes a support, which together with the volume-receiving moiety (2), causes the measure's handle (11) to lie in parallel with the surface, the foundation.
The measure 1 comprises a hanging device 16. It is suitably provided at the end of the handle 11 opposed to the volume-receiving moiety 2.
A measure 1 according to the invention is very suitable to use when the beverage base is dry and power-like.
This invention is essentially intended for the beverage base being coffee.
A measure according to the invention can also be used if the beverage base is tea. It is also possible to use the measure for other beverage bases such as rose hip powder, gruel powder and various other powders for beverages, soups, cream, pudding, mousse, purees and other powder-based products.
