Definitions
- the present invention relates to an active energy ray-curable ink composition, a method for producing the same, and a method for producing a printed matter using the same.
- the ink composition When printing using an ink composition, various printing methods are appropriately selected according to the material and shape of the object to be printed, and the ink composition also has appropriate properties according to the printing method. The one is selected. For example, for flat printing paper, an offset printing method using a flat plate is selected, an offset printing ink composition containing vegetable oil and mineral oil and having high viscosity is used, and for printing on cardboard paper, rubber is used. A flexo printing method using a letterpress is selected, and a water-based flexo printing ink composition having extremely high fluidity is used. In addition, it is well known that various printing methods such as gravure printing, screen printing, letterpress printing, and inkjet printing are appropriately selected for printing.
- the drying of the ink composition after printing is not sufficiently fixed on the surface of the object to be printed, and the ink composition adheres to the finger when touched with a finger or the like, and the image is distorted and stained when rubbed. It causes problems such as printing. Therefore, when the printed object to be printed is sent to post-processing, it is necessary that the ink composition is sufficiently fixed (that is, dried) on the surface of the printed object.
- the process of fixing that is, drying
- the ink composition after printing varies depending on the type of the ink composition used, for example, permeation of the solvent into the object to be printed, evaporation of the solvent from the object to be printed, and the ink composition. Examples thereof include increasing the molecular weight by oxidizing the components contained in the product.
- the drying process requires a certain amount of time, and in recent years when the printing speed has been improved due to technological progress, the time required for the drying process has become non-negligible.
- an active energy ray-curable ink composition has also been performed.
- the components contained in the ink composition are increased in molecular weight by irradiation with ultraviolet rays or electron beams, and drying is realized. The time required for this drying is extremely short, and printing using this ink composition meets the demand for promptly transferring the printed matter to post-processing.
- an ink composition corresponding to such a drying method one for an offset printing method is proposed in, for example, Patent Document 1, and one for a resin letterpress printing method is proposed, for example, in Patent Document 2.
- the IG mark is a system that mainly uses the ratio of biomass-derived components among the components that make up the ink composition as an index, and ranks the environmentally friendly level of the ink composition in three stages according to the degree. .. In other words, it can be said that this system is characterized by encouraging the replacement of fossil resource-derived raw materials with biomass-derived raw materials for the purpose of reducing the environmental burden.
- the active energy ray-curable ink composition has a shorter history than the ink composition dried by other drying methods, and it can be said that the materials constituting the ink composition are still in the development stage.

Description

Polym.
