  • Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the respiratory tract.
  • IL-5 and its receptor IL-5R play an important role in the pathogenesis of asthma.
  • the most effective method for the treatment of asthma is to administer steroid drugs through the nose or mouth to inhibit the expression of some key mediators (including IL-5) in asthma to reduce lung inflammation.
  • IL-5 key mediators
  • long-term use of steroids has many side effects. Therefore, it is necessary to find new drug targets for the treatment of asthma.
  • anti-IL-5 antibodies to inhibit the binding of IL-5 to its receptor can significantly reduce the accumulation of eosinophils in the lungs, reduce the level of eosinophils in blood, tissues, and sputum, and It can reduce the inflammatory response mediated by eosinophils, improve lung function, and has a good effect on severe eosinophilic asthma and recurrent asthma (Drugs.2017 May; 77(7):777-784).
  • Antibody drugs have large molecular weights and complex structures, and problems of denaturation, aggregation, contamination and particle formation often occur during production, transportation and storage. To keep the antibody effective, the antibody must maintain its biological activity during production, purification, transportation, and storage. At present, new production and purification technologies have been developed for the production of large quantities of highly purified monoclonal antibodies. However, how to stabilize these antibodies for transportation and storage, and provide antibodies in a dosage form suitable for administration, has always been a problem.

Description

1991Sequences of Proteins of Immunological Interest,第5版中找到。
本领域技术人员知晓,一般而言,多肽的非必需区域中的单个氨基酸置换基本上不改变生物学活性(参见例如Watson等(1987)Molecular Biology of the Gene,The Benjamin/Cummings Pub.Co.,第224页,(第4版))。
