本発明は上記背景に鑑みてなされたもので、その目的は、無線を用いた連動作業のための通信路確立時において、目的とする電気機器に接続できるようにした電池パック及び電気機器システムを提供することを目的とする。本発明の他の目的は、連動作業のための通信路確立時に優先接続制御を行うようにした電池パック及び電気機器システムを提供することを目的とする。本発明のさらに他の目的は、連動作業のための通信路確立時にペリフェラル側又はセントラル側となれる電池パック内に、優先接続制御を行うための情報を予め格納しておくようにすることを目的とする。
本願において開示される発明のうち代表的な特徴を説明すれば次のとおりである。本発明の一つの特徴によれば、電池パックは、電池セルと、電池セルに接続される制御部と、制御部に接続され、制御部によって外部機器と無線通信を行うよう構成される無線通信部を備える。電池パックは、外部機器としての情報端末、及び外部機器としての負荷部を有する電気機器が、電池パック(無線通信部)と無線接続が可能な状態で、電池パック(無線通信部)は、情報端末よりも電気機器との無線接続の確立を優先する。電池パックは無線接続待機状態へと切り替える第1操作部を有する。外部機器は無線接続待機状態へと切り替える第2操作部を有する。情報端末が電池パック(無線通信部)と無線接続可能な範囲において無線接続待機状態にあり、電気機器が電池パック(無線通信部)と無線接続可能な範囲において第2操作部の操作によって無線接続待機状態に切り替えられた場合に、電池パック(無線通信部)は情報端末と無線接続を確立せず電気機器と無線接続を確立する。電気機器が無線通信可能範囲内にない場合には前記情報端末と接続する。無線通信可能範囲に前記電気機器及び前記報端末がある場合には、電池パックは過去に接続したことのあるものを優先して接続する。
本発明の他の特徴によれば、電池パックは、電池セルと、電池セルに接続される制御部と、制御部に接続され、制御部によって外部機器と一対一で無線通信を行うよう制御される無線通信部と、を備え、無線通信部は、接続する外部機器の優先順位が高い順に接続するようにした。外部機器は、負荷部を有する電気機器、又は、情報端末であって、情報端末よりも電気機器との接続を優先するようにした。また、電池パックは無線通信部の無線接続を指示する操作部を有し、前記操作部の操作によって前記外部機器との接続路の確立を行うようにした。さらに、電池パックは接続路の確立を行う際に、操作部を操作してからの経過時間に応じて外部機器との接続条件を変更するようにした。
本発明の他の特徴によれば、接続条件は、操作部を操作してから第1所定時間経過するまでに前記外部機器の一部との接続を許可する第1の接続条件、第1所定時間の経過から第2所定時間経過までに前記外部機器の他の一部との接続を許可する第2の接続条件、第2所定時間経過後からタイムアウトまでの間に前記外部機器の更に他の一部との接続を許可する第3の接続条件、の少なくともいずれかを有する。電池パックには不揮発性の記憶装置が設けられ、接続条件を示すリストを予め記憶装置に格納しておくようにした。
本発明のさらに他の特徴によれば、接続路の確立手順を開始してから第2所定時間よりも遅いタイムアウトの時間まで外部機器と接続できない場合は、電池パックは操作部を操作する前の待機状態に戻るようにした。この接続条件には、製造メーカコードを含み、製造メーカコードが一致、又は、特定のコードに対応しない外部機器とは接続しないようにした。また、接続条件には、対象機器情報と対象機能情報が含まれ、最初に対象機器情報に基づいて接続の許可又は不許可を判断し、不許可の場合は対象機能情報に基づいて接続の許可又は不許可を判断するようにした。以上のように、無線通信部を有する電池パックと、無線通信部を有する外部の電気機器とによって電気機器システムを構築した。
本発明によれば、接続可能な外部機器が複数存在する際に、目的とする外部機器に確実に接続することができる。また、どの外部機器に優先的に接続したら良いかを電池パック側で判断できるようになったので、最適な接続相手に最初に接続することができる。また、優先的な接続相手が存在しない場合には、優先順位の低い外部機器とも接続できるように制御するので、電池パックの状態を監視するような携帯端末とも接続可能となる。また、電池パック内に優先接続を行うための情報を格納しておくことができる。

以下、本発明の実施例を図面に基づいて説明する。以下の図において、同一の部分には同一の符号を付し、繰り返しの説明は省略する。本明細書においては、電気機器の一例として電池パックにて動作する電動工具を用いて説明するものとする。
図1は本発明の実施例に係る電気機器の無線連動システムを示す斜視図である。無線連動システムは、電池パック1が装着される電気機器本体(ここでは丸鋸100)と協働する電気機器(図1の例では集塵機200と情報端末300)により電気機器システムとして構成される。
丸鋸100は、円盤状であって外周側に複数の尖塔状の刃が形成された作業機器たる鋸刃125を、図示しないモータによって高速で回転させて、木材等の被切断物を切断するための工具である。丸鋸100の電源は、商用電源を用いるものとバッテリを用いるものが広く知られているが、本実施例では着脱式の電池パック1(図2で後述)を用いている。丸鋸100のハウジング112の上部には作業者が把持するハンドル部113が形成される。ハンドル部113の前方側下部には、モータのスイッチを操作するためのトリガレバー(図示せず)が設けられ、作業者がベース127及び鋸刃125を被切断物に押し当ててトリガレバーを引くことにより、被切断物を直線切りすることができる。鋸刃125の外周縁付近の上側約半分はハウジング112によって覆われる。鋸刃125の下側の約半分の周囲には、鋸刃125を被切断物に押し当てていないときに鋸刃125の刃が露出しないように保護する保護カバー126が設けられる。
丸鋸100による木材の切断作業を行うと、切断加工時に多くの木くずが発生する。ハウジング112による鋸刃125の上側約半分の覆い部分は、木くず等の粉塵の飛散防止を図る機能を果たす。また、ハウジング112の一部にダクトアダプタ118を取り付け可能とした。ダクトアダプタ118は、切断作業により発生する粉塵を周囲の空気と共に吸引するための吸引通路を形成するもので、鋸刃125の外周縁の一部付近から径方向外側に接続管路が延在するようにして、ハウジング112の内側部分からダクトアダプタ118への空気通路が形成されるようにした。ダクトアダプタ118には可撓式の集塵用ホース180の先端180aが接続可能である。
集塵機200は、互いに分離可能なタンク部205とヘッド部201を備える。ヘッド部201はクランプ機構256によってタンク部205の上部に着脱可能に固定される。ヘッド部201に設けられたモータによって集塵ファン(図示せず)を回転させて、集塵用ホース180内に負圧を作りだして、集塵用ホース180の先端180bに接続されたダクトアダプタ207の内側から、切断作業時に発生する切り屑や塵埃を空気と共に吸引し、エアフィルタ(図示せず)で空気と切り屑や塵埃とを分離して、切り屑や塵埃だけを容器内に回収する電気機器である。集塵機200の操作表示部210にはメインスイッチ206が設けられ、メインスイッチ206をオンにするとモータが起動する(単動モード時)。モータが回転すると集塵作業を開始し、集塵用ホース180を介して粉塵等を吸引できる。作業者がメインスイッチ206をオフにするとモータが停止して集塵動作も停止する。集塵機200は単独で動作させる単動モードでの使用だけで無く、図1にて示したように他の電気機器のスレーブ側として連動動作させることも可能である。その場合は、集塵用ホース180の先端180bをダクトアダプタ207に装着し、操作表示部210の専用の第2操作部であるペアリングスイッチ255を操作することによって、“単動モード”から“連動モード”に切り替える。すなわち、ペアリングスイッチ255を操作することによって外部機器(例えば電池パック1)との無線接続が可能な無線接続待機状態に切り替えられる。この際、マスター側の電気機器たる丸鋸100側の電池パック1も第1操作部であるスイッチボタン85(図2参照)を長押し操作することによって、“単動モード”から“連動モード”に切り替える。すなわち、スイッチボタン85を長押し操作することによって外部機器との無線接続が可能な無線接続待機状態に切り替えられる。そして、両者が無線接続可能な範囲に位置する状態において、相互に“連動モード”(無線接続待機状態)に切り替えたら、丸鋸100と集塵機200は自動でペアリング登録されて無線接続状態となり、無線を用いた連動が可能となる。
このように2つの電気機器を連動させて、一方側(マスター側)の電気機器にて主となる作業(丸鋸100による切断作業)を行い、他方側(スレーブ側)の電気機器にて従となる作業(丸鋸100で発生した粉塵の吸引及び収集作業)を行う。各電気機器(丸鋸100と集塵機200)には、無線通信を行う通信部が設けられるが、本実施例ではマスター側電気機器(丸鋸100)の本体側では無く、装着された電池パック1が無線通信72を行う。ここでは近距離無線手段としてブルートゥース(Bluetooth:Bluetooth SIG, Inc. USAの登録商標)が用いられる。連動モードにおいては、丸鋸100のトリガスイッチがオンになったら電池パック1の通信部70(無線通信部)から集塵機200に対して稼動指示信号が送出され、集塵機200は稼動指示信号を受けてモータを起動して集塵作業を開始する。丸鋸100のトリガスイッチがオフになったら電池パック1の通信部70からの稼動指示信号が消失するため、集塵機200は直ちに、又は、所定のタイムラグを持たせた後にモータを停止させて集塵動作を停止する。このように本実施例では無線通信を利用して複数の電気機器間で連動動作させるので、稼動指示信号の伝達用の信号コードを使用すること無く、容易に電気機器の連動が可能となる。
情報端末300は、スマートフォンや携帯型の情報端末である。情報端末300には、公衆電話通信網、又は/及びインターネットに加えて、通信可能距離が短い近距離無線手段(無線通信部)が設けられる。電池パック1は、集塵機200だけでなく情報端末300ともペアリングが可能である。ここで「ペアリング」とは、無線通信を用いて電気機器(集塵機200、情報端末300等)と、電池パック1側の関連づけ登録を行う作業であり、これらの登録作業(ペアリング)を行うことにより、電気機器(集塵機200、情報端末300等)は、ペアリングされた電池パック1から必要な情報を取得することができる。このペアリング相手の関係は、ユーザA、Bのような端末装置の数:電池パックの数=1:1とする。
電池パック1は、例えば18Vの直流電流を出力するようにしたものである。本実施例では情報端末300が電池パック1と直接通信を行うことによって、電池パック1の情報を読み取ることが可能である。尚、情報端末300と電池パック1の通信は、電池パック1が電気機器本体に装着されている時だけでなく、電気機器本体から取り外された状態でも可能である。
情報端末300は、電池パック1から無線通信によって受信した情報を処理し、その情報から電池パック1の電池残量や寿命予測等の管理を行う。情報端末300はタッチ式の入出力装置である液晶式のディスプレイ301を有する。また、情報端末300には特定型式の電池パック1と通信を可能にするためのアプリケーションソフトウェア(以下、「アプリ」と称する)をインストールしておく。このアプリは、情報端末300と電池パック1とのペアリングを行うソフトウェアと、電池パック1から取得した情報をサポート会社にアップロードするソフトウェア、電池パック1の状態を表示するためのソフトウェアを含む。アプリは、電話回線又はネットワーク網を介して製造メーカ等から入手可能である。
図2は本実施例の無線連動システムにおける各電気機器(丸鋸100、集塵機200、情報端末300)の回路構成を示す概略ブロック図である。電池パック1は、合成樹脂製のケース内に二次電池5を収容したものである。二次電池5への充放電は制御部50によって制御される。制御部50は二次電池5に接続される。制御部50には、ワンチップのマイコン51と、記憶装置52が含まれる。記憶装置52は、プログラムを予め格納しておくと共に、図6にて後述する接続条件情報510を格納する。尚、制御部50のハードウェア構成は任意であり、記憶装置52としては、マイコン51に内蔵された、または、マイコン51とは別に設けられる不揮発性のメモリを用いれば良い。
マイコン51は、二次電池5に接続され、二次電池5の状態、例えば電圧、電流や電池セルの温度を監視する。電圧は後述する電圧チェック手段(電圧検出部)によって検出される。電流は二次電池5と直列に接続された電流検出部となるシャント抵抗49によって検出される。温度は二次電池5の近傍に設けられた図示しない温度検出部、例えばサーミスタによって検出される。これら検出された電圧、電流、温度は制御部50のマイコン51に入力される。二次電池5の電圧が規定の下限値を下回った際には、異常信号端子となるLD端子48、148を介して丸鋸100側の制御部150に放電停止信号を送出する。また、マイコン51は通信端子となるT端子46、146を介して丸鋸100と通信を行う。通信端子を介して互いのモデル情報(形名、定格電圧等)を送受信し、どのモデルで使用されたかを履歴として記憶装置52、制御部150の記憶装置152で記憶する。電池パック1内には、ブルートゥース(登録商標)を用いた通信部70が設けられる。通信部70にはアンテナ71が接される。通信部70は制御部50に接続され、通信部70による無線通信72は、マイコン51によって管理される。尚、マイコン51は、図示しない他の通信端子となるV端子、LS端子を用いて、丸鋸100等や外部充電装置(図示せず)との信号の伝達を行う。なお、複数の通信端子を単一の通信端子で構成することも可能である。
電池パック1に二次電池5が収容される。二次電池5は定格電圧3.6Vのリチウムイオン電池セルを5本直列接続して、正極端子42と負極端子47に定格18Vの電力を供給する。電池パック1には図示しない電圧チェック手段(電圧検出部)が搭載され、電圧チェック手段のスイッチボタン85がONになると、操作されている間に、電圧チェック手段を構成する分圧抵抗に電池セルの電圧が印加され、マイコン51のA/D入力ポートへ分圧された電圧が印加され、マイコン51はその電圧をデジタル値に変換することによって、二次電池5の端子間電圧(電池セルが5本直列接続された二次電池5の全体電圧)を算出又は測定する。表示部80は複数のLEDから構成され、スイッチボタン85が操作されると二次電池5の電圧(容量)を表示する。マイコン51は測定電圧を5段階(0、1、2、3、4)に区分して、その段階に応じた数のLEDが点灯するように表示部80を制御する。このLEDの点灯は、スイッチボタン85がONになったときから数秒程度だけ点灯させる。このように電池パック1には電圧チェック手段が設けられるので、電池パック1を電気機器本体から取り外しているときに電池の残量チェックが可能となる。また、通信部70によって測定された電圧情報を他の電気機器(例えば情報端末300)に送信することも可能である。
丸鋸100には放電負荷部となるモータ108が設けられ、図示しない作業機器(ここでは図1に示す鋸刃125)を駆動する。丸鋸100は、マイコンを有する制御部150を有する。正極端子142から負極端子147に至る電力経路中には、トリガスイッチ106と、モータ108と、FET(電界効果トランジスタ)等の遮断部となるスイッチング素子109と、電流検出部となるシャント抵抗160が介在される。トリガスイッチ106は、鋸刃125を回転させる指示のために作業者によって操作されるもので、トリガスイッチ106がオンになるとモータ108が回転する。使用されるモータ108の種類は任意であり、ブラシ付きの直流モータかブラシレス直流モータを用いることができる。制御部150はモータ108の回転制御を行うと共に、異常発生時にはスイッチング素子109を遮断状態にしてモータ108の回転を阻止(停止)する。また、制御部150は、異常信号端子であるLD端子148を介して電池パック1から放電停止信号が伝達されると、スイッチング素子109をオフにすることによりモータ108の回転を禁止(停止)する。また、シャント抵抗160によって電力経路に過電流が流れたことを検出した場合にも制御部150はスイッチング素子109をオフにしてモータ108の回転を停止する。以上のように、丸鋸100側には無線通信部が含まれていないため、丸鋸100に装着される電池パック1の通信部70を用いて外部の電気機器(集塵機200か情報端末300)との通信を行う。
集塵機200は、電池パック1Aを用いて放電負荷部となるモータ203を駆動する。モータ203による放電負荷の回転制御は、制御部250によって行われる。集塵機200にはブルートゥース(登録商標)用の通信部270(機器側無線通信部)が設けられる。通信部270はアンテナ271を有し、制御部250の制御によってペアリング登録された外部機器との無線通信72を行う。制御部250には記憶装置252が含まれ、外部機器(電池パック1)とのペアリング確立時に使用する情報とペアリング後に送受信される情報を適宜記憶する。図1にて示したように集塵機200にはペアリングスイッチ(SW)255が設けられ、作業者がペアリングスイッチ255を押すことによって制御部250による図5で後述するペアリング設定手順が開始される。集塵機200の接続端子には、正極端子242と負極端子247、LD端子248が含まれる。それ以外にも丸鋸100と同様に信号伝達用の端子が設けられるが、ここでの説明は省略する。また、集塵機200は、モータ203を駆動するために操作されるメインスイッチ206と、モータ203及びメインスイッチ206と直列に接続され遮断部となるFET等のスイッチング素子208と、正極端子242から負極端子247に至る電力経路に流れる電流を検出する電流検出部となるシャント抵抗209と、を有している。これらの機能は丸鋸100に設けられたものと同様であるため、詳細な説明は省略する。なお、メインスイッチ206は、集塵機200を単独で駆動する単動モードの場合は、駆動する際に作業者によって操作される。一方、連動モードの場合には、単動モードから連動モードへの切り替え時にペアリングスイッチ255を操作する際にオン状態にしても良いし、電池パック1からの無線通信、すなわち丸鋸100のトリガスイッチ106の操作に連動してオン状態にしても良い。
電池パック1Aは、無線通信部を持たない従来の構成であり、通信部70とスイッチボタン85を持たない点を除いて、電池パック1と同様の構成である。同じ構成の部分には同じ番号の符号を付しているので、繰り返しの説明は省略する。電池パック1Aは更に表示部(電池パック1の表示部80に相当)を持たないが、表示部を設けても良い。
以上の構成によって、電池パック1の通信部70と集塵機200の通信部270は双方向の通信(無線通信)72が可能となる。無線通信によって集塵機200は、電池パック1からの動作信号(丸鋸100のモータ108が起動したことを示す信号、丸鋸100のモータ108が停止したことを示す信号)を受信することができ、自身のモータ203を起動し、又は、停止させることが可能となる。
情報端末300は、マイコン311を含む制御部310を有し、マイコン311は必要な情報をディスプレイ301に表示させる。ディスプレイ301は、情報を表示する出力機器としてと、操作を入力するための入力機器として機能する。情報端末300にはブルートゥース(登録商標)用の通信部320(端末側無線通信部)が設けられ、通信部320にはアンテナ321が接続される。なお、電池パック1、電気機器(集塵機)200、情報端末300の無線通信322は所定の無線通信可能範囲で行うことができ、無線通信可能範囲を外れる(例えば機器同士の距離が遠すぎる等)と無線通信不能となる。
図3は本発明の実施例に係る電池パック1の斜視図である。電池パック1の筐体は、上下方向に分割可能な下ケース9と上ケース10により形成される。上ケース10は、丸鋸100の電池パック装着部に取り付けるために2本のレール13a、13bが形成された装着機構が形成される。レール13a、13bは、電池パック1の装着方向と平行な方向に延びるように、且つ、上ケース10の左右側面に突出するように形成される。レール13a、13bは、丸鋸100の電池パック装着部に形成されたレール溝(図示せず)と対応した形状とされ、レール13a、13bが電気機器本体側のレール溝と嵌合した状態で、ラッチ35aの爪となる係止部36aにて係止することにより電池パック1が丸鋸100に固定される。電池パック1を丸鋸100から取り外すときは、左右両側にあるラッチ35a、35bを押すことにより、係止部36a、36b(図1では36bは見えない)が内側に移動して丸鋸100の本体側との係止状態が解除されるので、その状態で電池パック1を装着方向と反対側に移動させる。
上ケース10の下段面11と上段面15は階段状に高さが異なるように形成され、それらの接続部分から後方側に延びるスロット群20が設けられる。スロット群20には8つのスロット21~28が形成される。スロット21~28は電池パック装着方向に所定の長さを有するように切り欠かれた部分であって、この切り欠かれた部分の内部には、丸鋸100又は外部の充電装置(図示せず)の機器側端子と嵌合可能な複数の接続端子(接続端子群)が配設される。
スロット21~28は、電池パック1の右側のレール13aに近い側のスロット21が充電用正極端子(C+端子)の挿入口となり、スロット22が放電用正極端子(+端子)の挿入口となる。また、左側のレール13bに近い側のスロット27が負極端子(-端子)の挿入口となる。正極端子と負極端子の間には、電池パック1と丸鋸100や外部の充電装置(図示せず)への信号伝達用の複数の信号端子が配置され、ここでは信号端子用の4つのスロット23~26が電力端子群の間に設けられる。スロット23は予備の端子挿入口であり、本実施例では端子は設けられない。スロット24は電池パック1の識別情報となる信号を電動工具本体又は充電装置に出力するためのT端子用の挿入口である。スロット25は外部の充電装置(図示せず)からの制御信号が入力されるためのV端子用の挿入口である。スロット26はセルに接触して設けられた図示しないサーミスタ(感温素子)による電池の温度情報を出力するためのLS端子用の挿入口である。負極端子(-端子)の挿入口となるスロット27の左側には、さらに電池パック1内に含まれる電池保護回路(図示せず)による異常停止信号を出力するLD端子用のスロット28が設けられる。
上段面15の後方側には、隆起するように形成された隆起部32が形成される。隆起部32の中央付近に窪み状のストッパ部31が形成される。ストッパ部31は、電池パック1を、電気機器本体側の電池パック装着部に装着した際に突き当て面となる。電池パック1が丸鋸100の所定の位置に装着されると丸鋸100に配設された複数の端子(機器側端子)と電池パック1に配設された複数の接続端子が接触して導通状態となる。
電池パック1の後方斜面32aには、表示部80が設けられる。表示部80には4つの表示窓81~84が設けられ、表示窓81の右側には押しボタン式のスイッチボタン85が設けられる。スイッチボタン85は、作業者によって操作される操作部である。表示窓81~84の内側には図示しないLED(発光ダイオード)が配置され、表示窓81~84内が点灯される。表示部80の全体はラミネートフイルムによって覆われ、表示窓81~84は印刷されたラミネートフイルムの一部を透明又は半透明にして光が透過されるように構成する。スイッチボタン85は、作業者によって操作されるボタンであって、スイッチボタン85が押されたら、電池パック1の電池残量に応じて表示窓81~84への表示を行う。
図4は図3の電池パック1における無線通信路の確立状態を示すブロック図である。ここでは1つの電池パック1が、無線通信手段を有する複数の電気機器A及びB、情報端末A及びBのうち、電気機器A(集塵機200)に接続している状態を示している。電池パック1は通信部70(図2参照)を有し、通信部70に接続されたアンテナ71を用いて、複数の電気機器A及びB、情報端末A及びBのいずれかと接続可能な状態にある。本実施例では、無線通信路は一対一(1:1)接続を前提としており、電池パック1を基準にすると、ブルートゥース(登録商標)にて接続可能な電気機器A及びB、情報端末A及びBと先着で通信路を確立することを原則とする。このように一対一接続の構成にすると、電池パック1側の接続処理がシンプルになること、電池パック1側で接続管理をするためのメモリが少なく済む、安価にできる等のメリットがある。本実施例の電池パック1と電気機器A又はBとの無線通信では、無線通信の状態を示す画面など、どの相手と接続しているか確認する手段が無いので、電池パック1が複数の相手側電気機器と接続し得ると、誤動作や誤使用の原因となる。例えば、電池パック1が電気機器Aと連携させるための機能を使用するつもりが、電気機器Bとの連携機能が動作してしまう虞がある。また、電気機器Aの電源をOFFし、電気機器Aとともに電池パック1の使用を終了したつもりが、電池パック1が電気機器Bとの接続に切り替えられていて、電池パック1の電力を消費し続けるというような状況が生じうる。
本実施例では、複数の電気機器/情報端末が接続試行状態にあるときに、電池パック1がどの電気機器/情報端末と接続すべきか(接続されるか)が明らかになるように制御する。ここでは、3つのポイントがある。1つ目に接続対象に優先度を設け、より優先度の高い対象から接続するようにする。2つ目に、電池パック1の接続手順を開始したら、接続試行状態となり、接続試行状態に移行してから、所定時間は優先度“高”の対象とだけ接続可能とし、所定時間が経過したら優先度“中”以上の対象と接続可能とし、さらに所定時間が経過したらすべての対象と接続可能とする。3つ目に、優先度は電気機器を高くして、情報端末を低くするもので、電池パック1の設計開発時に設定して、予め電池パック1の内部メモリに記憶させておく。
図5は図1の集塵機200又は情報端末300における通信路確立時の動作手順を示すフローチャートである。図5に示す一連の手順は、集塵機200又は情報端末300の制御部250、310に含まれるマイコン251、311にあらかじめ格納されたプログラムに沿ってソフトウェア的に実行可能であって、無線通信が可能な状態にあるときに実行される。以降、図5は集塵機200の制御部250が実行するものとして説明する。
最初に、集塵機200のマイコン251は、制御部250に接続された通信部270(図2参照)が外部のいずれかの電気機器と無線通信を用いた接続路(通信路)の確立済みであるか否かを判定する(ステップ501)。ここで通信路確立済みである場合は、ステップ502~505に示す意向の手順は実行しないで待機する。本実施例の無線通信路は1:1接続を前提としているためである。なお、n:1接続の場合は、nの上限値に到達するまではステップ501~505を実行しても良い。ステップ501において、通信路確立済みでない場合は、接続候補となる電池パック1から受け取った接続に必要な情報(図6にて後述する“接続条件情報510”)を判別してその情報中に含まれるコードのうち企業コード520が所定の企業に該当するか否かを判定する(ステップ502)。企業コード520は、相手側機器の識別のためのコードの一種であり、電動工具や電池パック等の電気機器の場合は、製造会社の識別コードである。ここで、“接続条件情報”は、接続要求を行う発信側機器(電池パック1)が保持し、接続試行時には“接続条件情報”を受信側に送信する。受信側機器(集塵機200、情報端末300等)は、接続条件情報510を受信したら本フローの接続判断手順に従い、接続要求の送信可否を判断し、接続可の場合は、接続要求の接続応答信号を返信し、接続不能、即ち接続対象機器に該当しない場合は、接続要求の接続応答信号を返信しない。
ここで図6~8を用いて発信側機器が保持する接続条件情報510の詳細を説明する。図6は図3の電池パック1内に格納される接続条件情報510を示す図である。接続条件情報510は先頭から、16ビットの企業コード520、32ビットの接続許可機器コード530、16ビットの接続許可機能コード540によって構成され、合計64ビット(8バイト)の情報を用いる。接続条件情報510は、製品の製造組み立て時にメーカによって制御部50に含まれる記憶装置52に予め格納される情報である。接続条件情報510は、無線通信路の確立の際に、接続要求の発信側機器(電池パック1)が、受信側機器(集塵機200)に送信する。受信側機器(集塵機200)は、受け取った接続条件情報510から、所定の判断手順に従って接続の可否を判断し、接続可の場合は接続応答信号を発信側機器(電池パック1)に送信する。
企業コード520は、製造メーカごとに付与される識別情報(製造メーカコード)であり、図2に示した通信部270を有する電気機器(集塵機200)、通信部320を有する情報端末(情報端末300)のメーカコードが格納される。接続条件情報510を受け取った受信側機器は、企業コード520によって発信側機器が自社製品であるか、他社製品であるかを判定することができる。尚、発信側機器がスマートフォン、タブレット端末、PC(Personal Computer)の情報端末の場合は、端末自体の企業コードが送信されるのではなく、情報端末に格納されたソフトウェア(いわゆるアプリ)を作成した企業のコードを格納すれば良い。
接続許可機器コード530は、接続要求を行った発信側機器(電池パック1)が、接続する対象機器を示す情報である。受信側機器(集塵機200)は、接続許可機器コード530と共に接続要求を受け取ったら、接続許可機器コード530内に自身(集塵機200)が含まれているか否かを判定し、自身が接続対象であるか否かを受信側機器にて判定する。ここで、図7を用いて接続許可機器コード530の詳細を説明する。接続許可機器コード530は、電池パック1が保持する情報で、ここでは接続の条件A~Cの3種類の情報が確認される。これら条件A~Cは、接続の優先順位を設定する情報であり、条件A531は最も優先順位が高い接続グループを示し、後述するビット列536“111000000・・・”は、各ビットに対応するそれぞれの機器(対象機器)が、接続対象(=ビット“1”)か、接続しない対象(=ビット“0”)かを示している。条件A531のビット列536“111000000・・・”は、1番目から3番目に相当する対象機器には接続する(ビット“1”)が、4番目以降の対象機器には接続しない(ビット“0”)ことを意味している。条件B532(ビット列537)は、1番目から4番目に相当する対象機器には接続するが、5番目以降の対象機器には接続しない(ビット“0”)ことを意味している。条件C533(ビット列538)は、1番目から5番目に相当する対象機器には接続するが、6番目以降の対象機器には接続しない(ビット“0”)ことを意味している。また、例えば条件C533の場合、ビット0~3の電気機器(集塵機A、B、照明A、B)が無線通信可能範囲にない場合にはビット4の情報端末300に接続される。負荷部は、集塵機AやBのモータや、照明AやBの照明部が相当する。
図7(A)の条件A531~C533の内容(ビット列536~538)をさらに展開してわかりやすく図示したものが図7(B)である。ここでは、縦方向に何番目のビット534か示し、それぞれのビット534に対応する対象機器535を示している。ここでは、ビット534と対象機器535の組み合わせは、発信側機器(電池パック1)と接続可能な受信側機器(集塵機200や情報端末300)の製造メーカ又はアプリの作成者が設定しておき、それぞれの制御部内に別途格納しておくものである。図7(B)の条件A531のビット列536では、対象機器535ごとに接続対象ならば“○”で示し、接続対象でないならば空欄で示されている。この“○”をビット“1”、空欄をビット“0”に置き換えると、上から下方向にビット列“111000000・・・”となり、図7(A)のビット列536と同じ内容になる。図7(B)の条件B532のビット列537、条件C533のビット列538も同様である。このことは、発信側機器(電池パック1)と接続可能な受信側機器(集塵機200や情報端末300)の製造メーカ又はアプリの作成者は、図7(B)のように優先接続を行う機器にあらかじめ○か×(空欄)かを割り当てておいて、それを図7(A)の536~538のようなビット列に変換して発信側機器(電池パック1)の制御部に格納しておけば良い。
図8は図6の接続許可機能コード540の詳細を示す図であり、(A)は格納されるデータの例を示す図である。接続許可機能コード540は、電池パック1が保持する対象機能に関する情報で、ここでは3種類の接続の条件A541~C543を接続許可機器コード530に含まれるビット列536~538と同様のビット列546~548にて格納する。条件A541、条件B542、条件C543は、機能の優先順位を設定する情報であり、条件A541は最も優先順位が高い機能グループを示し、後述するビット列“1100・・・”は、各ビットに対応するそれぞれの機能が、機能接続対象(=ビット“1”)か、接続しない対象(=ビット“0”)かを示している。条件A541のビット列“1100・・・”は、1番目から2番目に相当する機能には接続する(ビット“1”)が、3番目以降の機能には接続しない(ビット“0”)ことを意味している。条件B542は、1番目から3番目に相当する機能には接続することを意味している。条件C543は、1番目から4番目に相当する対象機器には接続する(ビット“1”)ことを意味している
図8(A)の条件A541~C543の内容(ビット列546~548)をさらに展開してわかりやすく図示したものが図8(B)である。ここでは、縦方向に何番目のビット544か示し、それぞれのビット544に対応する対象機能545を示している。ここでは、ビット544と対象機能545の組み合わせは、発信側機器(電池パック1)と接続可能な受信側機器(集塵機200や情報端末300)の製造メーカ又はアプリの作成者が設定しておき、それぞれの制御部内に別途格納しておくものである。対象機能とは、例えば丸鋸100の稼動に連動して集塵機200を運転する“集塵連動”、図示しないドライバドリルの運転に合わせて別の照明装置(図示せず)を点灯させる“照明連動”、図示しない電気機器の稼動に伴って受信機側の情報端末300で実行させるアプリケーションソフトAと連動させる“アプリ(実行)A”、図示しない電気機器の稼動に伴って受信機側の情報端末300で実行させるアプリケーションソフトBと連動させる“アプリ(実行)B”等である。
“集塵連動”とは、電池パック1が接続されている電気機器本体の運転ON情報(例えば放電電流)を検知したら、連動運転信号をペアリングされた相手側電気機器に無線で送信する動作モードである。具体的には、図2に示すように、電池パック1と丸鋸100を接続しトリガスイッチ106を操作(オン)すると電力供給路に電池パック1から放電電流が流れる。この放電電流を電流検出部となるシャント抵抗160で検出し、その検出信号が制御部150に入力される。制御部150は放電電流の信号、すなわち、丸鋸100の起動(駆動)情報が入力されると、通信用のT端子146、46を介して電池パック1の制御部50に丸鋸100が駆動した情報を送信する。制御部50は制御部150からの信号を受信すると通信部70、270を介して集塵機200に連動運転信号を送信する。又は、電池パック1にもシャント抵抗49が設けられているため、電池パック1(制御部50)自身で放電電流を検出することで連動運転信号を送信しても良いし、丸鋸100からの駆動信号が入力され且つ電池パック1自身で駆動(放電電流)を検出した場合に連動運転信号を送信しても良い。ペアリングされている集塵機200は、連動運転信号を受信したらモータ203(図2参照)をONにして、連動運転信号が消失して所定時間(数秒~数十秒程度)運転信号を受信しなかったらモータ203をOFFにする。“照明連動”とは、電池パック1が接続されている電気機器本体の電源ON情報(運転ON情報でもよい)を検知したら、照明連動信号を図示しない照明器具(電気機器の一例)に無線送信する。ペアリングされている照明器具は、照明連動信号を受信したら照明をONにし、信号が消失して所定時間(数十秒~数分程度)だけ照明連動信号を受信しなかったら照明をOFFにする。 “アプリA”は、接続優先度は“アプリB”より高く設定されたもので、自動接続機能があって、設定されている。自動接続機能は、例えば、本機能が有効になっている状態でアプリを立ち上げている場合に、ユーザ操作なしで自動的にスキャンを行い、接続可能な対象が見つかれば通信路を確立する機能である。“アプリB”とは;接続優先度はアプリAより低い。自動接続機能がない、または設定されていない。
図8(B)は格納されるデータの示す対象機能を示すデータテーブルである。ここで条件A541では、対象機能545ごとに接続対象ならば“○(マル)”で示し、接続対象でないならば空欄で示されている。この“○”をビット“1”、空欄をビット“0”に置き換えると、上から下方向にビット列“1100・・・”となり、図8(A)のビット列546の欄と同じ情報になる。図8(B)の条件B542と条件C543も同様である。このことは、発信側機器(電池パック1)と接続可能な受信側機器(集塵機200や情報端末300)の製造メーカ又はアプリの作成者は、図8(B)のように受信側機器の機能に基づいた接続可否判断の行う対象機能にあらかじめ○か×(空欄)かを割り当てておいて、それを図8(A)の546~548のようなビット列の形で発信側機器(電池パック1)の制御部50(図2参照)に格納しておけば良い。つまり、図7(B)や図8(B)のようなテーブル形式で記憶する必要はなく、図7(A)や図8(A)のようにコード化してビット列にて設定しておけば良い。電池パック1の集荷後に、図7(A)や図8(A)のようにコードの更新は想定していない。しかしながら、無線通信手段を有するため、情報端末300を介して接続条件情報510(図6参照)を更新可能なように電池パック1を構成しておくことも可能である。
再び図5のステップ502に戻る。受信側機器(集塵機200、情報端末300等)の制御部250、310(ともに図2参照)は、図6で示した接続条件情報510を受信して、それに含まれる企業コード520が所定のコードと一致した場合(ステップ503でYES)は、次に、接続許可機器コード530を参照して、そこに含まれる情報に受信機器自身が接続対象として許可されているか、即ち、図7(B)のテーブル中で自身の対象機器535が○の許可状態にあるか否かを判定し(ステップ503)、許可されているならばステップ505に進み、接続可能であることを示す接続応答信号を発信側機器(電池パック1)に送信する(ステップ505)。ステップ503において、接続許可機器コード530として受信機器自身が接続対象として許可されていない場合は、次に発信側機器(電池パック1)は、自身で実行する対象機能545(図8参照)が、受信した接続許可機能コード540で示される情報にて指定された機能であるか否かを判定し(ステップ504)、対象機能として含まれており接続が許可される対象である場合は、接続可能であることを示す接続応答信号を発信側機器(電池パック1)に送信する(ステップ505)。ステップ504にて許可されていないならばステップ501に戻る。
以上のように、受信側機器(集塵機200、情報端末300等)の制御部250、310(ともに図2参照)は、ブルートゥース(登録商標)のペアリング確立時に、図5に示す判断フローに従って通信信号を受信した発信側機器(電池パック1)に対して接続応答信号を送信することができるので、接続条件に合致する機器同士が接続することが可能となる。
図9は本発明の実施例に係る電池パック1がペリフェラル側(発信側)であるときの、電池パック1の動作手順を示すフローチャートである。最初、電池パック1の制御部50は、自身がすでに受信側機器(集塵機200、情報端末300等)とペアリングが確立しており、通信路確立済みであるかを判定する(ステップ601)。前述したように電池パック1は、1:1接続に設定している。ステップ601にて受信側機器との通信接続が行われていない場合(通信路が確立していない場合)は、無線通信のための第1操作部となる接続スイッチ(スイッチボタン85)がオンになっているか(オンされたか)否かを判定する(ステップ602)。ステップ602で接続スイッチがオフの場合は、ステップ601に戻る。ステップ602で接続スイッチがオンの場合は、時間のカウント用のカウンターtをゼロにクリアする(ステップ603)。
次に、制御部50のマイコン51は、カウンターtを1だけインクリメントし(ステップ604)、インクリメントされた時間が、初期段階(t=0~A)、中期段階(t=A~B)、それ以降の段階(t=B~X)のいずれの段階にあるかを判定する。この時間は、例えばXを2分とし、第一所定時間たるAは1秒目、第二所定時間たるBは2~3秒目くらいとする。但し、この時間設定は任意である。ステップ605において、初期段階たるt<Aの場合(ステップ605でYES)は、制御部50が第1の接続条件A(図7の条件A531、図8の条件A541)を採用するように設定する(ステップ609)。ステップ605で初期段階でない場合(ステップ605でNO)、ステップ606において、中期段階たる(A≦)t<Bの場合は、制御部50が第2の接続条件B(図7の条件A532、図8の条件A542)を設定する(ステップ608)。ステップ606において、中期段階ではなく残りの段階(B≦)t<Xの場合は、制御部50が第3の接続条件C(図7の条件A533、図8の条件A543)を設定する(ステップ607)。
次に、制御部50のマイコン51は、ステップ607~609にて設定された接続条件に従って、接続条件情報510を送信する(ステップ610)。この接続条件情報510を受信側機器に送信すると、受信側機器(集塵機200、情報端末300等)の制御部250、311は自身が接続対象機器に該当する場合にのみ接続応答信号(図5のステップ505)を発信する。発信側機器(電池パック1)の制御部50は、受信側機器からの接続応答信号を受信したかを判定し、設定された接続条件に合致する対象の受信側機器(集塵機200や情報端末300)であるか否かを判定する(ステップ611)。例えば、ステップ609にて接続条件が条件A(図7の条件A531)を用いて判断すると、受信側機器が集塵機200の場合は、条件A531に該当するため接続可となり、受信側機器が情報端末300の場合は、条件A531には該当しないため接続不可となる。ステップ610において、設定された接続条件に合致する対象の受信側機器を発見したら、制御部50のマイコン51はその相手と通信接続をする処理をおこなって(ステップ614)、接続状態を“通信接続中”(“通信確立済み”)、即ちペアリング状態にし、ステップ601に戻る(ステップ615)。
ステップ611にて、設定された接続条件に合致する対象の受信側機器が発見されない場合は、カウンターtが接続制御手順のタイムアウト時間Xに到達したかを判定する(ステップ612)。カウンターtがX未満の場合はステップ604に戻り、Xに到達又はXを越えた場合はタイムアウトとして、接続状態を“待機中”としてステップ601に戻る(ステップ613)。
以上、図9に示す無線接続制御の手順をソフトウェア的に実行することによって、電池パック1は、条件Aに該当する機器に優先的に接続を行うことができる。また、条件B、Cにしか該当しない機器であっても、条件Cだけに該当する機器よりも優先的に接続できる。本実施例により受信側機器(集塵機200や情報端末300)では、自分が接続対象機器であるかを判定でき、また接続要求を受けた発信側機器(電池パック1)においてもどの機器から接続したら良いかを適切に判断することができる。尚、同じ優先順位の受信側機器、例えば、集塵機が2台あったような場合は、最初に通信が確立された機器に接続されることになる。
図10は本発明の実施例に係る電池パック1が接続試行状態(スキャン)に移行した時の電池パック1の動作手順を示すフローチャートである。図5及び図9のフローチャートでは、電池パック1が接続試行側(ペリフェラル側)であったが、集塵機200や情報端末300側がペリフェラル側となって、電池パック1が受信側(セントラル側)機器となることが可能である。電池パック1がセントラル側の場合の手順も、ステップ600~609は同じである。ステップ607~609の後、制御部50は接続条件情報510を受信し、ステップ620にて、ペリフェラル側機器(集塵機200又は情報端末300)から受信した接続条件情報510を判定し、その接続条件に合致するペリフェラル側機器、即ち接続条件に合致する対象を発見したか否かを判定し(ステップ620)、発見した場合は、通信接続処理を行い、制御部50のマイコン51はその相手と通信接続をする処理をおこなって(ステップ623)、接続状態を“通信接続中”(“通信確立済み”)、即ちペアリング状態にし、ステップ601に戻る(ステップ624)。
ステップ620にて、設定された接続条件に合致する対象の受信側機器が発見されない場合は、カウンターtが接続制御手順のタイムアウト時間Xに到達したかを判定する(ステップ621)。カウンターtがX未満の場合はステップ604に戻り、Xに到達又はXを越えた場合はタイムアウトとして、接続状態を“待機中”としてステップ601に戻る(ステップ622)。このように電池パック1が受信側(セントラル側)機器である場合も、接続条件情報510を用いてどの機器から接続したら良いかを適切に判断できる。
以上、本発明を実施例に基づいて説明したが、本発明は上述の実施例に限定されるものではなく、その趣旨を逸脱しない範囲内で種々の変更が可能である。例えば、無線通信可能範囲に電気機器がなく情報端末がある場合には、情報端末に接続するようにしても良い。また、記憶装置52には、過去に無線接続(ペアリング)した電気機器や情報端末の情報を記憶されるので、無線通信可能範囲内に複数の電気機器や情報端末がある場合に、過去に接続したものを優先的に接続するようにしても良い。過去に接続したものが複数ある場合には、図7の条件に沿って優先順位を決定しても良い。また、電気機器として主に電動工具又は集塵機を例にして説明したが、電池パックを電気機器の一例とし、電池パック同士を無線接続するようにしても良い。例えば図2において、集塵機200が通信部270を備えておらず、電池パック1Aの代わりに通信部70を備えた電池パック1を集塵機200に接続しても良い。集塵機200に接続された電池パック1と、丸鋸100に接続された電池パック1と、のそれぞれのスイッチボタン85を長押し操作することで、両電池パック1の間で無線接続を確立することができる。また、図1において、情報端末300の代わりに、無線機能内蔵の電池パック1を装着した照明装置がある場合、照明装置に装着された電池パック1と丸鋸1に装着された電池パック1の両方のスイッチボタン85を同時に押すことで、集塵機200や情報端末100との接続よりも電池パック1間の無線接続を優先するようにしても良い。すなわち、直近で無線接続のための操作が行われた電気機器同士を優先するように接続することもできる。又は、集塵機200のペアリングスイッチ255にて連動モードを解除した後に照明装置に装着した電池パック1のスイッチボタン85を押す又は両電池パック1のスイッチボタン85を押すことにより、両電池パック1の無線通信を確立しても良い。或いは、上記した図7~10の優先順位に沿って無線通信を確立するようにしても良い。電気機器としての無線機能内蔵電池パック1との無線接続の優先度を高くすれば、装着した電池パック1との履歴情報等の通信が可能で無線機能がない別の電気機器を使用することできるため、電気機器システムの使い勝手を向上させることができる。なお、ユーザによっては所有する電気機器や複数の電気機器の使用頻度が異なるため、電池パック同士の接続に限らず、各ユーザに合った優先順位をユーザやメーカ側で任意に設定できるようにすれば、電気機器システムの使い勝手を更に向上させることができる。

Claims (14)

  1. 電池セルと、
    前記電池セルに接続される制御部と、
    前記制御部に接続され、前記制御部によって外部機器と無線通信を行うよう構成される無線通信部と、
    を備えた電池パックであって、
    前記外部機器としての情報端末、及び、前記外部機器としての負荷部を有する電気機器が、前記電池パックと無線接続が可能な状態で、前記電池パックは、前記情報端末よりも前記電気機器との無線接続の確立を優先するように構成したことを特徴とする電池パック。
  2. 前記電池パックは無線接続待機状態へと切り替える第1操作部を有し、
    前記電気機器は無線接続待機状態へと切り替える第2操作部を有し、
    前記情報端末が前記電池パックと無線接続可能な範囲において無線接続待機状態にあり、前記電気機器が前記電池パックと無線接続可能な範囲において前記第2操作部の操作によって無線接続待機状態に切り替えられた場合に、前記電池パックは前記情報端末と無線接続を確立せず前記電気機器と無線接続を確立するよう構成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電池パック。
  3. 前記電気機器が無線通信可能範囲内にない場合には前記情報端末と接続することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の電池パック。
  4. 前記無線通信可能範囲に前記電気機器及び前記情報端末がある場合には、過去に接続したことのあるものを優先して接続することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の電池パック。
  5. 電池セルと、
    前記電池セルに接続される制御部と、
    前記制御部に接続され、前記制御部によって外部機器と一対一で無線通信を行うよう制御される無線通信部と、を備え、
    前記無線通信部は、接続する前記外部機器の優先順位が高い順に接続するようにしたことを特徴とする電池パック。
  6. 前記外部機器は、負荷部を有する電気機器、又は、情報端末であって、
    前記情報端末よりも前記電気機器との接続を優先するようにしたことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の電池パック。
  7. 前記無線通信部の無線接続を指示する操作部を備え、
    前記操作部の操作によって前記外部機器との接続路の確立を行うことを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の電池パック。
  8. 前記接続路の確立を行う際に、前記操作部を操作してからの経過時間に応じて前記外部機器との接続条件を変更することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の電池パック。
  9. 前記接続条件は、
    前記操作部を操作してから第1所定時間が経過するまでに前記外部機器の一部との接続を許可する第1の接続条件と、
    前記第1所定時間の経過から第2所定時間の経過までに前記外部機器の他の一部との接続を許可する第2の接続条件と、
    前記第2所定時間の経過後からタイムアウトまでの間に前記外部機器の更に他の一部との接続を許可する第3の接続条件と、
    の少なくともいずれかを有することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の電池パック。
  10. 前記接続路の確立手順を開始してから前記タイムアウトの時間まで前記外部機器との接続路の確立できない場合は、前記操作部を操作する前の待機状態に戻ることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の電池パック。
  11. 前記接続条件には、製造メーカコードを含み、
    前記製造メーカコードが一致しない外部機器とは接続しないことを特徴とする請求項8から10のいずれか一項に記載の電池パック。
  12. 前記接続条件には、対象機器情報と対象機能情報が含まれ、
    最初に前記対象機器情報に基づいて接続の許可又は不許可を判断し、不許可の場合は前記対象機能情報に基づいて接続の許可又は不許可を判断することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の電池パック。
  13. 請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の電池パックと、
    負荷部と、前記電池パックの前記無線通信部と無線通信可能な機器側無線通信部と、を有する電気機器と、
    を備えることを特徴とする電気機器システム。
  14. 前記電池パックの前記無線通信部と無線通信可能な端末側無線通信部を有する無線端末を備えることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の電気機器システム。
