- the second RRC message may also be referred to as an RRC reconfiguration message.
- the relay may select a corresponding air interface providing data transmission for the first terminal according to the updated identification information, and transmit the data of the UE1 to the gNB.
- the relay will replace the locally stored identification information before the update of the air interface providing data transmission for the first terminal with the updated identification information, which will not be repeated.
- the relay can also return a response message or a confirmation message to the gNB to notify the gNB that it has completed the replacement.
- the relay may also send the updated identification information included in the second RRC message to the UE1, and the UE1 may refresh the parameters between the UE1 and the gNB according to the updated identification information. For example, use a new PDCP SQN or counter to replace the existing PDCP SQN or counter, or use a new bearer identifier to replace the old bearer identifier, etc. Other replacement operations will not be described in detail.
- the bearer identifier may be a parameter used to perform PDCP layer protection.
- the embodiment shown in FIG. 14 can trigger the update of the air interface Uu radio identity, so as to prevent an attacker from associating the old and new identity between the UE and the relay according to the existing radio bearer identity between the relay and the network device.
- the relay may also determine whether to execute it according to the protection mode of the PC5 interface between it and the UE1. For example, if encryption protection is not enabled for data protection between relay and UE1, follow-up update operations can be triggered according to the embodiment shown in Figure 14; if encryption protection is enabled, attackers cannot see the connection between UE1 and gNB through PC5 port. parameters (for example, PDCP SQN or counter, air interface identifier, etc.), then the association between the old and new identifiers between UE1 and the relay cannot be completed according to the exposed parameters between UE1 and gNB. - the relay side triggers the update process, that is, steps S701-S707 are not included.
- the update of the air interface is directly triggered by the relay. You can refer to the content of S1401.
- the relay triggers and executes the update of the air interface identification according to local policies, etc., sends the bearer identification before the update to the gNB, and obtains the updated bearer identification from the gNB (optional, can be used RRC reconfiguration message).
- the relay needs to determine the corresponding UE1 according to the bearer identification before the update, and send the updated bearer identification to the UE1.
- the relay when UE1 uses the relay function, after sending data to the relay, the relay will use the air interface bearer corresponding to the bearer identification to transmit the data of UE1 to the base station. Therefore, the relay needs to send the updated bearer identity to UE1. At this time, the updated bearer identity can be shared between the UE1 and the gNB. Then UE1 and gNB use the updated bearer identity to perform end-to-end PDCP layer protection between UE1 and gNB.
- the gNB side triggers the update process, that is, steps S701-S707 and S1401 are not included.
- the update of the air interface is directly triggered by the gNB, and the gNB triggers the update of the air interface identity according to local policies, etc., and sends the updated bearer identity to the relay (optionally, an RRC reconfiguration message can be used; bearer ID).

Description

S703、relay生成relay的更新后的层2标识(relay new layer-2 ID),以及对UE1的IP进行更新,生成UE1的更新后的IP(new UE1 IP)。
那么此时需要将更新后的用于端到端保护的参数通知给UE1(以PDCP为例,这里可以为承载标识)。
由gNB直接触发空口的更新,gNB根据本地策略等触发执行空口标识的更新,发送更新后的承载标识给relay(可选的,可以采用RRC重配置消息;可选的,还可以发送更新前的承载标识)。
源gNB发送更新后的承载标识给relay(可选的,可以采用RRC重配置消息;可选的还可以发送更新前的承载标识)。
