Description

染色システム
 本開示は、樹脂体を染色する染色システムに関する。
 プラスチックレンズ等の樹脂体を染色するための種々の技術が提案されている。例えば、浸染法と言われる染色方法では、樹脂体を染色液の中に浸漬することで樹脂体が染色される。しかし、浸染法では、作業環境を良好にすることが難しく、また、一部の樹脂体(例えば高屈折率のレンズ等)を染色するのが困難である。
 そこで、染料を樹脂体の表面に転写し、染料が付着した樹脂体を加熱することで樹脂体を染色する技術が提案されている。例えば、特許文献1に記載の染色方法では、昇華性の染料が、インクジェットプリンタによって基体に塗布(印刷)される。次いで、真空中で樹脂体と基体が非接触で配置された状態で、基体に塗布された昇華性の染料が昇華されることで、染料が樹脂体に転写される。次いで、レーザ光が樹脂体に対して走査されることで、樹脂体の表面が加熱されて染料が定着する。また、特許文献2に記載の染色方法では、オーブンによって樹脂体が加熱されることで、染料が樹脂体に定着される。

 レーザ光によって染料を樹脂体に定着させる場合には、オーブンを用いる場合に比べて、定着工程に要する時間が短縮され易い。また、オーブンを用いる場合には、例えば、樹脂体の基材の種類および染色する色等に関わらず、染料を樹脂体に適切に定着させ易い等の利点もある。従来の方法では、染料を樹脂体に定着させる際に、レーザ光およびオーブンの一方のみが用いられていたので、染色工程の効率を十分に向上させることは困難であった。
 本開示の典型的な目的は、より適切に樹脂体を染色することが可能な染色システムを提供することである。
 本開示における典型的な実施形態が提供する染色システムは、樹脂体を染色する染色システムであって、樹脂体を含む搬送ユニットを搬送する搬送装置と、前記搬送装置によって搬送された前記搬送ユニットの前記樹脂体に、染料が付着した前記基体を対向させた状態で、染料を前記樹脂体に転写する転写装置と、前記転写装置によって染料が転写された前記樹脂体の表面に、レーザ光を照射して加熱することで、前記樹脂体の表面に付着された染料を前記樹脂体に定着させるレーザ定着装置と、前記転写装置によって染料が転写された前記樹脂体の全体を加熱することで、前記樹脂体の表面に付着された染料を前記樹脂体に定着させるオーブン定着装置と、前記転写装置による染料の転写が完了し、且つ前記レーザ定着装置によって染料が定着される樹脂体を含む前記搬送ユニットが搬送されるレーザ用搬送経路と、前記転写装置による染料の転写が完了し、且つ前記オーブン定着装置によって染料が定着される樹脂体を含む前記搬送ユニットが搬送されるオーブン用搬送経路と、を備える。
 本開示に係る染色システムによると、より適切に樹脂体が染色される。
 本開示で例示する染色システムは、搬送装置、転写装置、レーザ定着装置、オーブン定着装置、レーザ用搬送経路、およびオーブン用搬送経路を備える。搬送装置は、樹脂体を含む搬送ユニットを搬送する。転写装置は、搬送装置によって搬送された搬送ユニットの樹脂体に、染料が付着した基体を対向させた状態で、染料を樹脂体に転写する。レーザ定着装置は、転写装置によって染料が転写された樹脂体の表面に、レーザ光を照射して加熱することで、樹脂体の表面に付着された染料を樹脂体に定着させる。オーブン定着装置は、転写装置によって染料が転写された樹脂体の全体を加熱することで、樹脂体の表面に付着された染料を樹脂体に定着させる。レーザ用搬送経路には、転写装置による染料の転写が完了し、且つレーザ定着装置によって染料が定着される樹脂体を含む搬送ユニットが搬送される。オーブン用搬送経路には、転写装置による染料の転写が完了し、且つオーブン定着装置によって染料が定着される樹脂体を含む搬送ユニットが搬送される。
 本開示の染色システムによると、搬送ユニットが、レーザ用搬送経路またはオーブン用搬送経路を経て、転写装置からレーザ定着装置およびオーブン定着装置のいずれかに搬送される。つまり、本開示の染色システムは、レーザ定着装置およびオーブン定着装置のいずれで定着工程を行うことも可能である。従って、レーザ定着装置およびオーブン定着装置の一方のみが用いられる場合に比べて、染色工程の効率を向上させることが容易である。
 染色システムは、印刷装置をさらに備えていてもよい。印刷装置は、基体に染料を印刷する。この場合、印刷装置によって染料の量、濃度、および分布等の少なくともいずれかが適切に調整された染料付基体から、染料が樹脂体に転写され、定着される。従って、樹脂体の染色品質が適切に向上する。
 また、本開示では、染料を樹脂体に転写する転写方式として、真空中で樹脂体と染料付基体を非接触で対向させた状態で、基体に印刷された昇華性の染料を昇華させることで、染料を樹脂体に転写する気相転写方式を例示する。しかし、転写方式を変更することも可能である。例えば、染料付基体を樹脂体に接触させた状態で、染料が樹脂体に転写されてもよい。
 搬送装置は、レーザ用搬送経路を通じて搬送ユニットをレーザ定着装置に自動搬送してもよい。この場合、作業者は、搬送ユニットを転写装置からレーザ定着装置に自ら搬送する必要が無い。従って、染色工程の効率がさらに向上する。
 また、搬送装置は、オーブン用搬送経路を通じて搬送ユニットをオーブン定着装置に自動搬送してもよい。この場合、作業者は、搬送ユニットを転写装置からオーブン定着装置に自ら搬送する必要が無い。従って、染色工程の効率がさらに向上する。
 レーザ用搬送経路およびオーブン用搬送経路の少なくともいずれかは、搬送装置に設けられていてもよい。つまり、搬送装置は、レーザ用搬送経路およびオーブン用搬送経路の少なくともいずれかを備えていてもよい。この場合、搬送装置は、レーザ用搬送経路およびオーブン用搬送経路を備えていてもよい。また、搬送装置は、レーザ用搬送経路を備えていてもよい。また、搬送装置は、オーブン用搬送経路を備えていてもよい。このような構成によって、搬送ユニットは、搬送装置の搬送経路上で適切に搬送される。また、搬送ユニットを搬送する方法も、例えば、ベルトコンベア等によって搬送する方法、または、ロボットアーム等によって搬送する方法等を適宜選択できる。
 染色システムは、転写装置による染料の転写が完了した搬送ユニットを、レーザ用搬送経路およびオーブン用搬送経路のいずれかに振り分ける振り分け部をさらに備えてもよい。この場合、搬送ユニットの搬送先を作業者が振り分けなくても、レーザ用搬送経路およびオーブン用搬送経路のいずれかに搬送ユニットが振り分けられる。従って、染色工程の効率がさらに向上する。
 染色システムは、制御部をさらに備えていてもよい。制御部は、各々の搬送ユニット毎に染色工程の条件を取得し、取得した条件に応じて、搬送ユニットをレーザ用搬送経路およびオーブン用搬送経路のいずれかに振り分けてもよい。この場合、レーザ用搬送経路およびオーブン用搬送経路のうち、染色工程の条件に応じた適切な搬送経路に、各々の搬送ユニットが適切に振り分けられる。従って、染色工程の効率がさらに向上する。
 ただし、制御部は、各々の搬送ユニット毎に取得した染色工程の条件に応じて、搬送ユニットがレーザ定着とオーブン定着のいずれに適しているかを判定し、判定結果を出力してもよい。この場合、作業者は、出力された判定結果に基づいて、搬送ユニットを適切にいずれかの搬送経路に振り分けることができる。なお、判定結果の出力方法には、例えば、表示部への表示、紙等への印刷、および、データの転送等の少なくともいずれかを採用できる。
 制御部は、搬送ユニットに含まれる樹脂体、および、樹脂体に染色する予定の色の少なくともいずれかが、レーザ定着装置による染料の定着に適しているか否かの条件に応じて、搬送ユニットを振り分けてもよい。つまり、制御部は、搬送ユニットに含まれる樹脂体、および染色する予定の色の少なくともいずれかが、レーザ定着に適している場合には、搬送ユニットをレーザ用搬送経路に振り分けてもよい。制御部は、搬送ユニットに含まれる樹脂体、および染色する予定の色の少なくともいずれかが、レーザ定着に適していない場合に、搬送ユニットをオーブン用搬送経路に振り分けてもよい。
 前述したように、レーザ定着装置によると、定着工程に要する時間が短縮され易い。しかし、樹脂体によっては、レーザ定着装置によって染料を定着させることが不可能または困難な場合もある。また、樹脂体に染色する予定の色(例えば、染色する予定の色の種類および濃度の少なくともいずれか)によっては、レーザ定着装置によって染料を定着させることが不可能または困難な場合もある。一般的には、樹脂体に染色する予定の色の濃度が高いと、濃度が低い場合に比べて、レーザ定着装置による染料の定着は困難になり易い。オーブン定着装置によると、樹脂体の温度が長い時間をかけて徐々に上昇するので、樹脂体の各部位の温度差が発生し難い。よって、オーブン定着装置によると、染料が適切に樹脂体に定着し易い。また、温度差に起因して樹脂体に破損等が生じる可能性も低下する。樹脂体がレーザ定着に適しているか否かに応じて搬送ユニットが振り分けられる場合、レーザ定着に適した樹脂体には、レーザによって短時間で定着工程が行われる。一方で、レーザ定着に適していない樹脂体は、オーブンによって適切に定着工程が行われる。よって、染色工程の効率が適切に向上する。
 なお、制御部は、レーザ定着装置による染料の定着に適しているか否かを、種々の条件に基づいて判断することができる。例えば、制御部は、樹脂体の基材の種類が、レーザ定着に適した基材であるか否かを判断してもよい。また、制御部は、樹脂体の形状が、レーザ定着に適した形状であるか否かを判断してもよい。制御部は、樹脂体に染色する予定の色の濃度が、レーザ定着に適した濃度であるか否かを判断してもよい。制御部は、複数の条件(例えば、基材の種類および形状等)に基づいて、樹脂体がレーザ定着に適しているか否かを判断してもよい。
 制御部は、レーザ定着装置による定着工程を実行する場合に要する時間が閾値以下であるか否かに応じて、搬送ユニットを振り分けてもよい。つまり、制御部は、樹脂体のレーザ定着に要する時間が閾値以下である場合には、搬送ユニットをレーザ用搬送経路に振り分けてもよい。制御部は、樹脂体のレーザ定着に要する時間が閾値よりも長い場合には、搬送ユニットをオーブン用搬送経路に振り分けてもよい。レーザ定着装置による定着工程(レーザ定着)に要する時間が長くなると、レーザ定着が行われる前の待機状態となる搬送ユニットが増加し、染色工程の全体に要する時間が長くなってしまう場合がある。これに対し、レーザ定着に要する時間が閾値よりも長い樹脂体を、オーブン用搬送経路に振り分けることで、レーザ定着の待機状態となる搬送ユニットが増加し難くなる。よって、より効率良く複数の樹脂体が染色される。
 制御部は、レーザ定着装置の稼働状態に応じて搬送ユニットを振り分けてもよい。この場合、レーザ定着の待機状態となる搬送ユニットが増加し難くなる。よって、より効率良く複数の樹脂体が染色される。
 なお、レーザ定着装置の稼働状態に応じて搬送ユニットを振り分けるための具体的な方法は、適宜選択できる。例えば、制御部は、レーザ定着装置が稼働中である場合には、搬送ユニットをオーブン用搬送経路に振り分けてもよい。また、制御部は、レーザ定着装置によるレーザ定着工程が行われるまでの待機時間を、レーザ定着工程の稼働状態の情報として取得してもよい。この場合、制御部は、レーザ定着工程が行われるまでの待機時間が閾値以下である場合には、搬送ユニットをレーザ用搬送経路に振り分けると共に、待機時間が閾値よりも長くなる場合には、搬送ユニットをオーブン用搬送経路に振り分けてもよい。また、制御部は、レーザ定着を待機している搬送ユニットの数が閾値以上であるか否かに応じて、搬送ユニットを振り分けてもよい。
 オーブン定着装置は、レーザ定着装置が1回の定着工程で染料を定着させることが可能なユニット(例えば、一対の眼鏡レンズ)の数よりも多い複数ユニットの樹脂体に対し、纏めて定着工程を実行できてもよい。この場合、オーブン定着装置による定着工程に時間を要する場合でも、複数ユニットの樹脂体に対して纏めてオーブン定着が行われることで、染色工程の全体が円滑に進行する。
 制御部は、オーブン定着装置による定着工程の待機状態となっているユニットの数が所定数に達した場合に、待機状態となっていた複数ユニットの樹脂体に対して、オーブン定着装置による定着工程を開始させてもよい。この場合、複数ユニットの樹脂体に対するオーブン定着が、より効率良く自動的に実行される。
 また、制御部は、オーブン定着装置による定着工程の待機状態となっているユニットの数が所定数に達した場合に、作業者に対する通知動作を実行してもよい。この場合、作業者は、オーブン定着装置による定着工程を開始させるタイミングを、通知によって適切に把握することができる。
 染色システムは、搬送ユニットに関する情報を読み取る読取部を備えていてもよい。制御部は、読取部によって読み取られた情報に基づいて、各々の搬送ユニット毎に染色工程の条件を取得し、取得した条件に応じて振り分け部の駆動を制御してもよい。この場合、搬送ユニット毎に、染色工程の条件が適切に取得されたうえで、搬送ユニットがレーザ用搬送経路とオーブン用搬送経路のいずれかに振り分けられる。よって、複数の樹脂体が、自動的且つ適切に染色される。
 読取部は、搬送ユニット毎に設けられた識別子を読み取る識別子読取部を含んでいてもよい。制御部は、搬送ユニット毎に染色工程の条件(染色条件)を記憶するデータベースから、識別子読取部によって読み取られた識別子に対応する搬送ユニットの染色条件を取得してもよい。この場合、例えば複数の搬送ユニットの順番が変わる場合等でも、各々の搬送ユニットの染色条件が制御部によって適切に把握される。なお、識別子は、例えば、樹脂体が載置される染色用トレイに設けられていてもよいし、転写工程で用いられる基体に設けられていてもよい。
 また、読取部は、搬送ユニットに設けられた書き込み可能なタグから情報を読み取るタグ読取部を含んでいてもよい。制御部は、タグ読取部によって読み取られた情報に含まれる染色条件を取得してもよい。この場合、染色条件を予めタグに記憶させておく事で、例えば複数の搬送ユニットの順番が変わる場合等でも、各々の搬送ユニットの染色条件が制御部によって適切に把握される。
 染色システムは、染料が定着された樹脂体の色情報を計測する色情報計測器をさらに備えてもよい。色情報計測器は、レーザ定着装置によって染料が定着された樹脂体、および、オーブン定着装置によって染料が定着された樹脂体の両方の色情報を計測してもよい。この場合、色情報計測器による色情報の計測結果を、例えば、染色品質の確認または向上等のために利用することが可能になる。また、レーザ定着が行われた樹脂体、および、オーブン定着が行われた樹脂体の両方の色情報が、共通の色情報計測器によって計測される。従って、染色システムの構成が複雑になることが抑制された状態で、適切に樹脂体の色情報が計測される。
 なお、計測された色情報の具体的な利用方法は、適宜選択できる。例えば、制御部は、吐出量決定ステップ、結果色情報取得ステップ、および補正ステップを実行してもよい。吐出量決定ステップでは、制御部は、染色する予定の色(予定色)を樹脂体に染色するための、印刷装置による基体への染料の吐出量を、決定手順に従って決定する。結果色情報取得ステップでは、制御部は、吐出量決定ステップにおいて決定された吐出量の染料が使用されることで、印刷装置、転写装置、および染料定着装置によって実際に染色された樹脂体について、色情報計測器によって計測された色情報である結果色情報を取得する。補正ステップでは、制御部は、結果色情報と予定色に基づいて、吐出量決定ステップにいて決定される染料の吐出量を補正することで、以後の染色工程において染色される樹脂体の色を、予定色に近づける。この場合、以後の染色工程において、予定色を染色するために基体に印刷される染料の吐出量が補正されるので、実際に染色される樹脂体の色が、適切に予定色に近づく。
 また、制御部は、合否判定ステップおよびエラー出力ステップを実行してもよい。合否判定ステップでは、制御部は、予定色と、実際に染色された樹脂体について計測された結果色情報との差が、閾値以内となっているか否かを判定する。エラー出力ステップでは、制御部は、予定色と結果色情報との差が閾値以内となっておらず、予定色と結果色が大きく相違している場合に、エラーを出力する。この場合、実際に行われた染色の品質が良好でない樹脂体が、適切に除外される。

 以下、本開示に係る典型的な実施形態の1つについて、図面を参照して説明する。染色システム1は、樹脂体を自動的に連続して染色する。本実施形態では、染色する対象とする樹脂体は、眼鏡に使用されるプラスチック製のレンズL(図2等参照)である。しかし、本開示で例示する技術の少なくとも一部は、レンズL以外の樹脂体を染色する場合にも適用できる。例えば、ゴーグル、携帯電話のカバー、ライト用のカバー、アクセサリー、玩具、フィルム(例えば、厚みが400μm以下)、板材(例えば、厚みが400μm以上)等、種々の樹脂体を染色する場合に、本開示で例示する技術の少なくとも一部を適用することも可能である。染色される樹脂体には、樹脂体とは異なる部材(例えば、木材またはガラス等)に付加された樹脂体も含まれる。また、本実施形態の染色システム1は、複数の樹脂体を連続して搬送しながら染色する。しかし、樹脂体を1セットずつ搬送して染色する染色システムにも、本開示で例示する技術の少なくとも一部を採用できる。
(システム構成)
 図1を参照して、本実施形態の染色システム1のシステム構成について概略的に説明する。本実施形態の染色システム1は、搬送装置10、印刷装置30、転写装置40、レーザ定着装置50A、オーブン定着装置50B、色情報計測器60、および制御装置70を備える。さらに、本実施形態の染色システム1は、レーザ用搬送経路15A、オーブン用搬送経路15B、振り分け部5、およびオーブン用待機位置8を備える。
 搬送装置10は、搬送ユニットU(図2参照)を、染色システム1内の各装置に連続して搬送する。搬送ユニットUは、搬送装置10によって搬送される単位である。本実施形態の搬送ユニットUには、染色用トレイ80(図2参照)と、染色用トレイ80に載置されたレンズLが含まれる。さらに、搬送ユニットUには、表面に染料が付着されたシート状の基体(染料付基体)が含まれる場合もある。なお、本実施形態の搬送装置10は、搬送経路に沿って搬送ユニットUを搬送するベルトコンベアを含む。しかし、搬送装置10の構成を変更することも可能である。例えば、搬送装置10は、搬送ユニットUを把持して搬送するロボットアーム等を含んでいてもよい。
 印刷装置30は、シート状の基体に染料を印刷する。本実施形態では、基体には、適度な硬さの紙または金属性(本実施形態ではアルミニウム製)のフィルムが使用される。しかし、基体の材質には、ガラス板、耐熱性樹脂、セラミック等の他の材質を用いることも可能である。なお、本実施形態の染色システム1では、染料の凝集等を防ぎつつ染料を適切にレンズLに転写するために、真空(略真空を含む)の環境下で基体とレンズLを離間させて対向させた状態で、基体の染料が加熱されることで、染料がレンズLの表面に転写(蒸着)される(本実施形態における染色方法を、気相転写染色方法という)。従って、印刷装置30には、昇華性染料を含有したインクを基体に印刷するインクジェットプリンタが使用される。印刷装置30は、情報処理装置(本実施形態ではパーソナルコンピュータ(以下「PC」という)である制御装置70によって作成された印刷データに基づいて印刷を実行する。その結果、基体の適切な位置に適切な量のインク(染料)が付着する。グラデーションの染色を行うための染料付基体の作成も容易である。
 なお、印刷装置30の構成を変更することも可能である。例えば、印刷装置はレーザープリンタであってもよい。この場合、トナーに昇華性染料が含まれていてもよい。また、印刷装置30の代わりに、ディスペンサー(液体定量塗布装置)、ローラ等によって、基体に染料が付着されてもよい。
 転写装置40は、基体に付着した染料を、レンズLに対向させた状態で、染料を基体からレンズLに転写する。前述したように、本実施形態では、気相転写法によって基体からレンズLに染料が転写される。ただし、染料をレンズLに転写する方法を変更することも可能である。例えば、基体の染料とレンズLを接触させた状態で、染料が基体からレンズLに転写されてもよい。
 レーザ定着装置50Aは、転写装置40によって染料が転写されたレンズLの表面にレーザ光を照射して加熱することで、レンズLの表面に付着した染料をレンズLに定着させる。詳細には、本実施形態のレーザ定着装置50Aは、レーザ光源とスキャナを備える。レーザ光源は、レーザ光を出射する。スキャナは、レーザ光源から出射されたレーザ光を走査する。レーザ光が、スキャナによってレンズLの表面で二次元状に走査されることで、レンズLの表面が加熱される。なお、本実施形態のレーザ定着装置50Aは、1回の定着工程を、1つの搬送ユニットU毎に(つまり、1つの搬送ユニットUに含まれる1つまたは一対のレンズL毎に)実行する。
 レーザ定着装置50Aは、オーブン定着装置50Bに比べて短時間で、染料をレンズLに定着させることができる。また、レーザ定着装置50Aは、染色するレンズLの基材の種類、およびレンズLの形状等の少なくともいずれかに応じて、レーザ光の照射条件(例えば、レーザ光を照射することによる定着工程に要する時間、および、レーザ光の出力制御条件等の少なくともいずれか)を変更する。なお、樹脂体であるレンズLの基材の種類、および形状によっては、レーザ光によって染料を適切にレンズLに定着させることが困難な場合もある。
 オーブン定着装置50Bは、転写装置40によって染料が転写されたレンズLの全体を加熱することで、レンズLの表面に付着した染料をレンズLに定着させる。本実施形態のオーブン定着装置50Bは、加熱室の内部にレンズLが配置された状態で、加熱室内の全体(加熱室内の気体およびレンズL)を加熱することで、レンズLの全体を加熱する。
 オーブン定着装置50Bによると、レンズLの温度が長い時間をかけて徐々に上昇するので、レンズLの各部位の温度差が発生し難い。よって、オーブン定着装置50Bによると、レンズLの基材の種類等に関わらず、染料が適切にレンズLに定着し易い。
 また、本実施形態のオーブン定着装置50Bは、レーザ定着装置50Aが1回の定着工程で染料を定着させることが可能なユニット(本実施形態では、1つの搬送ユニットUに含まれる、1つまたは一対のレンズL)の数よりも多い、N個の複数ユニットのレンズLに対して、纏めて定着工程を実行することができる。その結果、染色工程の全体が円滑に進行する。
 色情報計測器60は、染料が定着されたレンズLの色情報を計測するために使用される。本実施形態の色情報計測器60は、レンズLの分光スペクトル(詳細には、本実施形態では透過スペクトル)を色情報として計測する分光計測器である。従って、RGBカメラ等を用いる場合に比べて、照明環境等の外乱光の影響が抑制された状態で色情報が取得される。また、複数の染料が用いられてレンズLが染色された場合でも、波長毎の強度の分布である分光スペクトルが取得されるので、染色されたレンズLの色情報が適切に取得される。取得した分光スペクトルのデータを利用して、CIEL*a*b*表色系、XYZ表色系、L*C*h*表色系、マンセル表色系等の値を使用しても良い。ただし、分光計測器以外のデバイス(例えばRGBカメラ等)が、色情報計測器として使用されてもよい。
 本実施形態の色情報計測器60は、レーザ定着装置50Aによって染料が定着されたレンズL、および、オーブン定着装置50Bによって染料が定着されたレンズLの両方の色情報を計測する。つまり、レーザ定着装置50Aを経た搬送ユニットUと、オーブン定着装置50Bを経た搬送ユニットUは、共に、同一の色情報計測器60に搬送される。なお、本実施形態では、搬送装置10が、レーザ定着装置50Aおよびオーブン定着装置50Bの各々から、色情報計測器60に搬送ユニットUを搬送する。
 レーザ用搬送経路15Aには、転写装置40による染料の転写が完了し、且つレーザ定着装置50Aによって染料が定着されるレンズLを含む搬送ユニットUが搬送される。また、オーブン用搬送経路15Bには、転写装置40による染料の転写が完了し、且つオーブン定着装置50Bによって染料が定着されるレンズLを含む搬送ユニットUが搬送される。
 なお、本実施形態の搬送装置10は、レーザ用搬送経路15Aを通じて、搬送ユニットUをレーザ定着装置50Aに自動搬送する。さらに、本実施形態の搬送装置10は、オーブン用搬送経路15Bを通じて、搬送ユニットUをオーブン定着装置50B(詳細には、後述するオーブン用待機位置8)に向けて自動搬送する。つまり、本実施形態の搬送装置10は、レーザ用搬送経理15Aおよびオーブン定着装置50Bを備える。従って、作業者が搬送ユニットUを手作業で搬送しなくても、搬送ユニットUが効率良く搬送される。
 ただし、レーザ定着装置50Aおよびオーブン定着装置50Bの各々に搬送ユニットUを搬送する方法を変更することも可能である。例えば、オーブン用搬送経路15Bに搬送された搬送ユニットUは、作業者によって手作業でオーブン定着装置50Bに搬送されてもよい。また、レーザ用搬送経路15Aに搬送された搬送ユニットUは、作業者によって手作業でレーザ定着装置50Aに搬送されてもよい。レーザ定着装置50Aおよびオーブン定着装置50Bの両方に、手作業によって搬送ユニットUが搬送されてもよい。
 振り分け部5は、転写装置40による染料の転写が完了したレンズLを含む搬送ユニットUを、レーザ用搬送経路15Aおよびオーブン用搬送経路15Bのいずれかに自動的に振り分ける。振り分け部5の具体的な構成は、適宜選択できる。例えば、振り分け部5は、レーザ用搬送経路15Aおよびオーブン用搬送経路15Bのいずれかに搬送ユニットUを搬送するロボットアーム等であってもよい。また、搬送ユニットUの搬送方向を切り替える切り替え器(例えば、レール切り替え器等)が、振り分け部5として使用されてもよい。なお、振り分け部5の動作の具体的な制御方法については、図3を参照して後述する。
 オーブン用待機位置8は、オーブン定着装置50Bによって染料が定着されるレンズLを含む搬送ユニットUが待機する位置である。オーブン用待機位置8は、オーブン用搬送経路15Bの経路上に設けられている。本実施形態のオーブン用待機位置8には、オーブン定着装置50Bが1回の定着工程で染料を定着させることが可能なN個のユニット(搬送ユニットU)を待機させることができる。
 制御装置70は、染色システム1における各種制御を司る。制御装置70には、種々の情報処理装置(例えば、PC、サーバ、および携帯端末等の少なくともいずれか)を使用できる。制御装置70は、制御を司るコントローラ(例えばCPU等)71と、各種データを記憶するデータベース72を備える。なお、制御装置70の構成を変更することも可能である。まず、複数のデバイスが協働して制御装置70として機能してもよい。例えば、染色システム1における各種制御を司る制御装置と、データベース72を備えた制御装置が別のデバイスであってもよい。また、複数のデバイスのコントローラが協働して、染色システム1における各種制御を実行してもよい。例えば、搬送装置10、印刷装置30、転写装置40、レーザ定着装置50A、およびオーブン定着装置50Bの少なくともいずれかがコントローラを備える場合も多い。この場合、制御装置70のコントローラと他の装置のコントローラが協働して、染色システム1の制御を司ってもよい。
 染色システム1は、搬送ユニットU(染色用トレイ80と、染色用トレイ80に載置されたレンズLを含む)毎に情報を読み取る読取部2を備える。一例として、本実施形態の読取部2は、搬送ユニットU毎(例えば、染色用トレイ80毎)に設けられた識別子を読み取る識別子読取部である。読取部2によって読み取られる識別子によって、搬送ユニットUが特定される。搬送ユニットUが特定されることで、搬送ユニットUに含まれるレンズLに対する染色工程の条件等が取得される。
 本実施形態の読取部2は、使用されている識別子に対応する識別子リーダー(例えば、QRコード(登録商標)リーダー、バーコードリーダー、識別穴リーダー等)である。また、読取部2は、情報を書き込み可能なタグ(例えばICタグ等)から情報を読み取るタグ読取部であってもよい。本実施形態では、染色システム1を構成する複数の装置のうち、少なくとも転写装置40の近傍に読取部2が設けられている。しかし、染色システム1のうち、転写装置40以外の部分にも読取部が設けられていてもよい。
(搬送ユニットU・染色用トレイ)
 図2を参照して、搬送ユニットUおよび染色用トレイ80について説明する。図2は、2つのレンズLが設置(載置)され、且つ基体が設置されていない状態の染色用トレイ80(搬送ユニットU)の斜視図である。本実施形態の染色用トレイ80は、トレイ本体81、載置枠89、およびスペーサ87を備える。載置枠89には、染色対象となる樹脂体(本実施形態ではレンズL)が載置される。本実施形態の載置枠89は、レンズLよりもやや大きい外径を有するリング状に形成されている。スペーサ87は、載置枠89のうち、レンズLが載置される部位の外周部から上方に筒状(円筒状)に延びる。トレイ本体81には装着部82が形成されている。装着部82には、載置枠89およびスペーサ87が着脱可能に装着される。本実施形態では、1つのトレイ本体81に2つの装着部82が形成されている。従って、1つの眼鏡に使用される一対(左右)のレンズLが、1つの染色用トレイ80に載置された状態で染色される。
 トレイ本体81のうち、装着部82よりも外側(詳細には、基体載置部85よりも外側)の位置には、上方に突出する突部84が設けられている。また、トレイ本体81の底部(本実施形態では、各々の装着部82の底部の2か所)には、上方に向けて凹んだ凹部である底部嵌合部86が形成されている。トレイ本体81の上部に形成された複数の突部84のうち、装着部82に隣接する4つの突部84は、染色用トレイ80の上部に他の染色用トレイ80(トレイ本体81)が積み重ねられた際に、積み重ねられた染色用トレイ80の底部嵌合部86に嵌合する。よって、複数の染色用トレイ80が、安定した状態で上下に積み重ねられる。
(樹脂体振り分け処理)
 図3を参照して、染色システム1のコントローラ71が実行する樹脂体振り分け処理について説明する。樹脂体振り分け処理では、転写装置40による染料の転写工程が完了したレンズL(搬送ユニットU)を、レーザ用搬送経路15Aおよびオーブン用搬送経路15Bのいずれかに振り分ける処理が行われる。コントローラ71は、レンズLの染色工程を開始させる指示が入力された場合に、記憶装置に記憶されたプログラムに従って、図4に例示する樹脂体振り分け処理を実行する。
 まず、コントローラ71は、転写装置40による染料の転写工程が完了したか否かを判断する(S1)。搬送ユニットUのレンズLに対する転写工程が完了していなければ(S1:NO)、S1の判断が繰り返されて待機状態となる。
 搬送ユニットUのレンズLに対する転写工程が完了すると(S1:YES)、コントローラ71は、転写工程が完了した搬送ユニットU(レンズL)に対する染色工程の条件を取得する(S2)。S2で取得される染色工程の条件は、適宜選択できる。一例として、本実施形態では、レーザ定着装置50Aによる染料の定着に適しているか否かの条件(レーザ定着の適否)、レーザ定着装置50Aによる定着工程を実行する場合に要する時間(レーザ定着時間)、および、レーザ定着装置50Aの稼働状態の情報(稼働状態の情報)が、染色工程の条件として取得される。
 詳細には、本実施形態では、コントローラ71は、読取部2(図1参照)によって読み取られた情報に基づいて、レーザ定着の適否およびレーザ定着時間を、各々の搬送ユニットU毎に取得する。レーザ定着の適否を示す情報は、例えば、レンズLの基材の種類がレーザ定着に適しているか否かを示す情報、レンズLの形状がレーザ定着に適しているか否かを示す情報、および、レンズLに染色する予定の色(本実施形態では色の濃度)がレーザ定着に適しているか否かを示す情報の少なくともいずれかであってもよい。また、コントローラ71は、レーザ定着装置50A等から、レーザ定着装置50Aの稼働状態の情報を取得する。稼働状態の情報は、例えば、レーザ定着装置50Aが稼働中であるか否かを示す情報、レーザ定着装置50Aによる定着工程が行われるまでに必要な待機時間の情報、および、レーザ定着装置50Aによる定着工程を待機している搬送ユニットUの数の情報等の少なくともいずれかであってもよい。なお、染色工程の条件を取得するタイミングは、搬送ユニットUのレンズLに対する転写工程の完了後に限られない。また、1つの搬送ユニットUに対する複数の条件の各々が、異なるタイミングで取得されてもよい。
 次いで、コントローラ71は、S2で取得した染色工程の条件に応じて振り分け部5の駆動を制御することで、転写工程が完了した搬送ユニットUを、レーザ用搬送経路15Aおよびオーブン用搬送経路15Bのいずれかに振り分ける(S4~S8、S12)。
 詳細には、本実施形態では、コントローラ71は、搬送ユニットUに含まれるレンズL、および、染色する予定の色の少なくともいずれかが、レーザ定着装置50Aによる染料の定着に適しているか否かを、S2で取得した条件に基づいて判断する(S4)。レーザ定着に適していない場合には(S4:NO)、コントローラ71は、搬送ユニットUをオーブン用搬送経路15Bに振り分ける(S8)。
 搬送ユニットUのレンズLおよび染色する色の少なくともいずれかが、レーザ定着に適している場合には(S4:YES)、コントローラ71は、S2で取得されたレーザ定着時間が閾値T以下であるか否かを判断する(S5)。レーザ定着時間が閾値Tよりも長い場合には(S5:NO)、レーザ定着の待機状態となる搬送ユニットUが増加し、染色工程の効率が悪化する可能性がある。従って、コントローラ71は、搬送ユニットUをオーブン用搬送経路15Bに振り分ける(S8)。
 搬送ユニットUのレンズLに対するレーザ定着時間が閾値T以下である場合には(S5:YES)、コントローラ71は、レーザ定着装置50Aによる定着工程に余裕があるか否か(レーザ定着に余裕があるか否か)を判断する(S6)。例えば、コントローラ71は、レーザ定着装置50Aが稼働中である場合には、レーザ定着に余裕が無いと判断してもよい。コントローラ71は、搬送ユニットUのレンズLに対するレーザ定着が行われるまでに必要な待機時間が閾値よりも長い場合には、レーザ定着に余裕が無いと判断してもよい。また、コントローラ71は、レーザ定着を待機している搬送ユニットUの数が閾値以上である場合には、レーザ定着に余裕が無いと判断してもよい。レーザ定着に余裕が無い場合(S6:NO)、コントローラ71は、搬送ユニットUをオーブン用搬送経路15Bに振り分ける(S8)。レーザ定着に余裕がある場合(S6:YES)、コントローラ71は、搬送ユニットUをレーザ用搬送経路15Aに振り分ける(S12)。
 なお、搬送ユニットUをオーブン用搬送経路15Bに振り分けた場合には(S8)、コントローラ71は、オーブン定着装置50Bによる定着工程の待機状態となっている搬送ユニットUの数が、所定数(本実施形態では、オーブン定着装置による1回の定着工程で処理可能は搬送ユニットUの上限数N)に達したか否かを判断する(S9)。所定数に達していなければ(S9:NO)、処理はそのままS1へ戻る。オーブン定着の待機状態となっている搬送ユニットUの数が、所定数に達した場合には(S9:YES)、コントローラ71は、待機状態となっていたN個の搬送ユニットUのレンズLに対して、オーブン定着装置50Bによる定着工程を開始させる。なお、コントローラ71は、S9で所定数に達したと判断した場合に、その旨を作業者に通知する通知動作を実行してもよい。
 上記実施形態で開示された技術は一例に過ぎない。従って、上記実施形態で例示された技術を変更することも可能である。例えば、上記実施形態で例示した複数の技術の一部のみを採用してもよい。一例として、上記実施形態では、染料の転写工程が終了した搬送ユニットUは、振り分け部5によって、レーザ定着装置50Aおよびオーブン定着装置50Bのいずれかに自動的に振り分けられる。しかし、搬送ユニットUは、作業者によって手作業でレーザ定着装置50Aおよびオーブン定着装置50Bのいずれかに振り分けられてもよい。この場合でも、作業者が搬送ユニットUを適切に振り分けることで、染色工程の効率は向上する。また、上記実施形態の樹脂体振り分け処理(図3参照)では、レーザ定着の適否(S4)、レーザ定着時間(S5)、および稼働状態の情報(S6)によって、振り分け部5の駆動が制御される。しかし、S4~S6の一部の処理のみが採用されてもよいことは言うまでもない。

 

Claims (9)

  1.  樹脂体を染色する染色システムであって、
     樹脂体を含む搬送ユニットを搬送する搬送装置と、
     前記搬送装置によって搬送された前記搬送ユニットの前記樹脂体に、染料が付着した前記基体を対向させた状態で、染料を前記樹脂体に転写する転写装置と、
     前記転写装置によって染料が転写された前記樹脂体の表面に、レーザ光を照射して加熱することで、前記樹脂体の表面に付着された染料を前記樹脂体に定着させるレーザ定着装置と、
     前記転写装置によって染料が転写された前記樹脂体の全体を加熱することで、前記樹脂体の表面に付着された染料を前記樹脂体に定着させるオーブン定着装置と、
     前記転写装置による染料の転写が完了し、且つ前記レーザ定着装置によって染料が定着される樹脂体を含む前記搬送ユニットが搬送されるレーザ用搬送経路と、
     前記転写装置による染料の転写が完了し、且つ前記オーブン定着装置によって染料が定着される樹脂体を含む前記搬送ユニットが搬送されるオーブン用搬送経路と、
     を備えたことを特徴とする染色システム。
  2.  請求項1に記載の染色システムであって、
     前記搬送装置は、前記レーザ用搬送経路を通じて前記搬送ユニットを前記レーザ定着装置に自動搬送することを特徴とする染色システム。
  3.  請求項1または2に記載の染色システムであって、
     前記転写装置による染料の転写が完了した前記搬送ユニットを、前記レーザ用搬送経路および前記オーブン用搬送経路のいずれかに振り分ける振り分け部をさらに備えたことを特徴とする染色システム。
  4.  請求項3に記載の染色システムであって、
     前記染色システムの制御を司る制御部をさらに備え、
     前記制御部は、各々の前記搬送ユニット毎に染色工程の条件を取得し、取得した前記条件に応じて前記振り分け部の駆動を制御することで、前記搬送ユニットを前記レーザ用搬送経路および前記オーブン用搬送経路のいずれかに振り分けることを特徴とする染色システム。
  5.  請求項4に記載の染色システムであって、
     前記制御部は、前記搬送ユニットに含まれる前記樹脂体、および、前記樹脂体に染色する予定の色の少なくともいずれかが、前記レーザ定着装置による染料の定着に適しているか否かの条件に応じて、前記搬送ユニットを振り分けることを特徴とする染色システム。
  6.  請求項4または5に記載の染色システムであって、
     前記制御部は、前記レーザ定着装置による定着工程を実行する場合に要する時間が閾値以下であるか否かに応じて、前記搬送ユニットを振り分けることを特徴とする染色システム。
  7.  請求項4から6のいずれかに記載の染色システムであって、
     前記制御部は、前記レーザ定着装置の稼働状態に応じて前記搬送ユニットを振り分けることを特徴とする染色システム。
  8.  請求項4から7のいずれかに記載の染色システムであって、
     前記搬送ユニットに関する情報を読み取る読取部をさらに備え、
     前記制御部は、前記読取部によって読み取られた前記情報に基づいて、各々の前記搬送ユニット毎に染色工程の条件を取得し、取得した前記条件に応じて前記振り分け部の駆動を制御することで、前記搬送ユニットを前記レーザ用搬送経路および前記オーブン用搬送経路のいずれかに振り分けることを特徴とする染色システム。
  9.  請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の染色システムであって、
     染料が定着された前記樹脂体の色情報を計測する色情報計測器をさらに備え、
     前記色情報計測器は、前記レーザ定着装置によって染料が定着された樹脂体、および、前記オーブン定着装置によって染料が定着された樹脂体の両方の色情報を計測することを特徴とする染色システム。
