Abstract

セラミックスボール収納トレイは、セラミックスボールを収納する収納部を有する。当該セラミックスボール収納トレイの収納部は、収納部の底面部の中央が中空で形成される凸部を有する。また、セラミックスボールの直径に対する凸部の外周面の高さは0.05以上0.30以下の範囲内である。セラミックスボールの直径に対する収納部の高さは1.05以上2.00以下の範囲内であることが好ましい。また、セラミックスボールの直径に対する凸部の内周面の高さは0.01以上0.10以下の範囲内であることが好ましい。

Description

セラミックスボール収納トレイおよびそれを用いたセラミックスボールの収納方法
 後述する実施形態は、セラミックスボール収納トレイおよびそれを用いたセラミックスボールの収納方法に関するものである。
 セラミックスボールは、ベアリングなどの分野で用いられている。セラミックスは窒化珪素、酸化アルニウム、酸化ジルコニウムなど様々な材料が用いられている。例えば、特許第5487099号公報(特許文献1)には、窒化珪素焼結体からなるベアリングボールが開示されている。特許文献1のセラミックスボールは直径20mm程度の大きなものであっても、優れた耐摩耗性を有している。
 ベアリングは、外輪と内輪の間に複数のベアリングボールを設置した構造となっている。つまり、1つのベアリングを製造するには、複数個のベアリングボールが必要になる。これに伴い、複数個のセラミックスボールを運搬する必要が生じていた。
 例えば、特開2004-18050号公報(特許文献2)には、ベアリングボールを収納する紙製容器が開示されている。特許文献2では、段ボール用ライナを少なくとも二枚以上積層合紙した厚紙を用いた容器である。特許文献2の紙製容器は、ベアリングボールを複数個収納したとしても、容器が破損しないことを示している。

 特許文献2の容器で複数のベアリングボールを運搬する際は、容器内に複数のベアリングボールを容器にまとめて収納していた。一つの容器に複数個のベアリングボールを収納すると運搬時にボール同士が接触して割れやカケが発生するといった問題が生じていた。また、セラミックス製ベアリングボールは研磨加工して球体となる。研磨加工前は帯状部を有するセラミックスボールとなる。例えば、特許第4761613号公報(特許文献3)には帯状部を有するセラミックスボールが開示されている。帯状部を有するセラミックスボールを一つの容器に複数個入れると、割れおよびカケが多く発生していた。帯同部同士がぶつかると破損し易かったためである。
 実施形態に係るセラミックスボール収納トレイおよびそれを用いたセラミックスボールの収納方法が解決しようとする課題は、このような問題に対処するために、セラミックスボール収納トレイに収納されたセラミックスボールの破損を低減することである。
 実施形態にかかるセラミックスボール収納トレイは、セラミックスボールを収納する収納部を有する。当該セラミックスボール収納トレイの収納部は、収納部の底面部の中央が中空で形成される凸部を有する。また、セラミックスボールの直径に対する凸部の外周面の高さは0.05以上0.30以下の範囲内である。

実施形態
 以下、図面を参照しながら、セラミックスボール収納トレイおよびそれを用いたセラミックスボールの収納方法の実施形態について詳細に説明する。
 実施形態にかかるセラミックスボール収納トレイは、セラミックスボールを収納する収納部を有する。当該セラミックスボール収納トレイの収納部は、収納部の底面部の中央が中空で形成される凸部を有する。また、セラミックスボールの直径に対する凸部の外周面の高さは0.05以上0.30以下の範囲内である。
 図1は実施形態にかかるセラミックスボール収納トレイの一例を示す上面図である。また、図2(A)は、実施形態にかかるセラミックスボール収納トレイの一例を示す側面図である。また、図2(B)は、実施形態にかかるセラミックスボール収納トレイの一例を示すB-B断面図である。図2(C)は、実施形態にかかるセラミックスボール収納トレイの一例を示すC-C断面図である。図3は実施形態にかかるセラミックスボール収納トレイの収納部のB-B断面を示す拡大図である。図4は、実施形態にかかるセラミックスボール収納トレイを上下に重ねた状態の収納部のB-B断面を示す拡大図である。
 図中、符号1はセラミックスボール収納トレイ、符号2は収納部、符号3はセラミックスボール、符号4は凸部、符号5は凸部4の外周面の高さ、符号6は凸部4の内周面の高さ、符号7はセラミックスボール3の直径、符号8は収納部2の高さ、符号9は凸部4の外周面の直径、符号10は凸部4の内周面の直径、符号11は底面部、符号12は収納部2の周囲部、符号13は収納部2の直径、符号14は周囲部12のくぼみである。図1では、セラミックスボール収納トレイ1が、15個の収納部2を備えるものを例示している。トレイ1は、これに限定されるものではなく、収納部2の数は増減させることができる。また、図1では、セラミックスボール収納トレイ1が、収納部が縦方向3個×横方向5個に配置されるものを例示したが、こちらも適宜、増減可能である。また、セラミックスボール収納トレイ1のことを、収納トレイ1またはトレイ1と呼ぶこともある。また、セラミックスボール3を単にボール3と呼ぶこともある。なお、図1において、右側2列の収納部2は、その中にセラミックスボール3が収納された状態を示す。
 収納トレイ1は収納部2を有している。収納部2はセラミックスボール3を収納することができる。収納部2は、底面部11の中央Cが中空で形成される凸部4を有している。収納部2の底面部11はセラミックスボール3が抜け落ちないようになっている。また、底面部11の反対側(つまり、天井側)は、セラミックスボール3が収納し易いように開口部となっている。
 収納部2の底面部11の凸部4は、底面部11から下側に向かって凸状になった形状を有している。凸部4があることにより、トレイ1の搬送時(つまり、セラミックスボール3の搬送時)の衝撃を吸収することができる。また、後述するように、収納部2に凸部4を有することにより、収納トレイ1を上下に重ねたときに上下で隣り合うセラミックスボール3同士が直接接触するのを防ぐことができる。また、凸部4は、底面部11の中央Cが中空で形成される中空円筒形状であることが好ましい。凸部4が中空円筒になっていることにより、凸部4の強度を向上させることができる。以下、凸部4が、上方から見た場合に円状となる中空円筒である場合について説明するが、その場合に限定されるものではない。例えば、凸部4は、上方から見た場合に多角形状である場合であってもよい。
 また、セラミックスボール3の直径7をボール直径7と呼ぶ。セラミックスボール3は帯状部を具備したセラミックスボールであってもよいものとする。セラミックスボールは、金型成型を用いて製造すると、帯状部を具備したセラミックスボールとなる。帯状部を具備したセラミックスボールを研磨加工することにより、真球状のセラミックスボールとなる。収納トレイ1は、真球状のセラミックスボール、帯状部を具備したセラミックスボールのどちらを収納してもよいものとする。言い換えると、セラミックスボール3は、真球状、帯状部を具備する形状の両方を含むものである。また、研磨加工前のセラミックスボールのことを素球と呼ぶこともある。
 また、ボール直径7はセラミックスボール3の最大径である。セラミックスボール3が真球状であれば、最大径は任意の直径となる。セラミックスボール3が帯状部を具備する場合は、帯状部の対角線が最大径となる。
 (凸部の外周面の高さおよび内周面の高さ)
 また、凸部4は中空の凸状であるため、高さ方向にせり立つ外周面41および内周面42を有している。外周面41の高さを5、内周面42の高さを6とする。凸部4の外周面41の高さ5のことを、外周高さ5と呼ぶこともある。凸部4の内周面42の高さ6を、内周高さ6と呼ぶこともある。収容されるセラミックスボール3を内周面42の天井側で保持するようにするため、内周面42の高さ6は、外周面41の高さ5より低いことが望ましい。
 例えば、ボール直径7に対する凸部4の外周面41の高さ6である「凸部の外周高さ5/ボール直径7」が0.05以上0.30以下の範囲内であることが好適である。「外周高さ5/ボール直径7」が0.05以上0.30以下の範囲内であると、複数の収納トレイ1を上下に重ねたときに、上下に隣接するセラミックスボール3同士が直接接しないようにすることができる。また、トレイ1の搬送時の振動によりセラミックスボール3に破損するのを防ぐことができる。
 「外周高さ5/ボール直径7」が0.05未満であると、凸部4を設ける効果が得られない。また、「外周高さ5/ボール直径7」が0.30を超えると、凸部4が高くなりすぎる。凸部4が高いと、トレイ1を上下に重ねたときの安定性が低下する可能性がある。このため、「外周高さ5/ボール直径7」は0.05以上0.30以下、さらには0.10以上0.25以下の範囲内であることが好ましい。
 また、セラミックスボール3の直径7に対する凸部4の内周面42の高さ6である「凸部の内周高さ6/ボール直径7」が0.01以上0.10以下の範囲内であることが好ましい。また、内周面42の高さ6は外周面41の高さ5より低いことが望ましい。凸部4の内周高さ6は中空の凸部4の内周側の高さである。「凸部の内周高さ6/ボール直径7」が0.01以上0.10以下の範囲内であることにより、複数のトレイ1を上下に重ねたときに凸部4の内周側で下側のトレイ1に収納したセラミックスボール3を抑えることができる。複数のトレイ1を重ねて搬送したとしても、収納されたセラミックスボール3が動くのを抑制することができる。このため、トレイ1の搬送時にセラミックスボール3が破損するのを抑制することができる。
 「凸部の内周高さ6/ボール直径7」が0.01未満であると、凸部4の内周高さ6が小さくなる。複数のトレイ1を上下に重ねたときに、上のトレイ1の収納部2の底面部11が下のトレイ1のセラミックスボール3に直接接触する可能性が高くなる。トレイ1の底面が直接接する面積が増えると、セラミックスボール3に掛る応力が大きくなり、破損する可能性が高くなる。また、「凸部の内周高さ6/ボール直径7」が0.10を超えると、凸部4が高くなり過ぎる可能性がある。
 (収納部2の高さ)
 また、セラミックスボール3の直径7に対する収納部2の高さである「収納部の高さ8/ボール直径7」が1.05以上2.00以下の範囲内であることが好ましい。収納部2の高さ8とは、収納部2の底面部11から、反対側の開口部までの長さである。
 まず、収納部2の底面部11の中心から上下に鉛直線を引く。次に、収納部2の開口部を端から端につながるように水平線(鉛直線の直交線)を引く。収納部2の底面部11の中心から、前記垂直線と前記水平線が交点までの長さを収納部2の高さ8とする。
 「収納部の高さ8/ボール直径7」を1.05以上2.00以下の範囲内にしておくと、トレイ1の搬送時にセラミックスボール3が動き過ぎるのを抑制することができる。このため、トレイ1の搬送時にセラミックスボール3は破損するのを抑制することができる。また、帯状部を具備するセラミックスボール3であっても破損を抑制することができる。
 「収納部の高さ8/ボール直径7」が1.05未満であると、複数のトレイ1を上下に重ねたときに上のトレイ1の凸部4が、下のトレイ1に収納したセラミックスボール3に必要以上に応力を与えてしまう可能性がある。また、「収納部の高さ8/ボール直径7」が2.00を超えると、複数のトレイ1を上下に重ねたとしても搬送時にセラミックスボール3が動き過ぎるのを抑制する効果が低下する可能性がある。このため、「収納部の高さ8/ボール直径7」の比は1.05以上2.00以下、さらには1.08以上1.60以下の範囲内であることが好ましい。
 (収納部2の直径)
 また、セラミックスボール3の直径7に対する収納部2の直径13である「収納部の直径13/ボール直径7」は1.05以上1.70以下の範囲内であることが好ましい。「収納部の直径13/ボール直径7」が1.05未満であると、収納時にボール3が入り難くなる可能性がある。また、「収納部の直径/ボール直径」が1.70を超えると、トレイ1の搬送時にボール3が動き過ぎる可能性がある。
 図4に収納トレイ1を重ねたときの一例を示した。複数の収納トレイ1を上下に重ねたときに、下側のトレイ1に収納したボールを上側のトレイ1の凸部4が抑える構造となっている。これにより、トレイ1の搬送時にボール3が動くことを抑制できる。
 また、凸部4の外周高さ5が凸部4の内周高さ6より大きいことが好ましい。凸部4の外周高さ5が凸部の内周高さ6より大きいということは収納部2の底面部11に段差があることを示している。これにより、1つのセラミックスボール3を複数個所で支えることができる。この結果、トレイ1の搬送時にセラミックスボール3が動くことを抑制することができる。また、凸部4の外周高さ5は3mm以上であることが好ましい。凸部4の外周高さ5を3mm以上とすることにより、収納部2の底面部11に段差を形成し易くなる。また、複数のトレイ1を上下に重ねたとき、凸部4が位置ずれ防止の役割を果たす。また、収納部2の内周面は、球面形状、段差形状など様々な形状を取ることができる。例えば、収納部2の内周面を球面形状とし、凸部4を空胴としてもよいものとする。空洞となった部分は段差となる。また、凸部4を空洞とすることにより、複数のトレイ1を上下に重ねた際のセラミックスボール3へのクッション性を高めることができる。また、トレイ1の軽量化も行うことができる。
 (外周面41の直径および内周面42の直径)
 セラミックスボール3の直径7に対する凸部4の外周面41の直径9である「凸部の外周直径9/ボール直径7」が0.3以上0.8以下の範囲内であることが好ましい。また、セラミックスボール3の直径7に対する凸部4の内周面42の直径10である「凸部の内周直径10/ボール直径7」が0.1以上0.6以下の範囲内であることが好ましい。なお、内周直径10が外周直径9より小さいことは言うまでもない。凸部4の外周直径9は凸部4の先端部(すなわち、下端部)を基準とする外径とする。また、凸部4の内周直径10は凸部の先端部(すなわち、下端部)を基準とする内径とする。
 「凸部の外周直径9/ボール直径7」が0.3以上0.8以下の範囲内であると、複数のトレイ1を上下に重ねたときに、凸部4にて下のトレイ1に収納されたセラミックスボール3を抑える効果を得ることができる。同様に、「内周直径10/ボール直径7」が0.1以上0.6以下の範囲内であると、複数のトレイ1を上下に重ねたときに、凸部4にて下のトレイ1に収納されたセラミックスボール3を抑える効果を得ることができる。
 「凸部の外周直径9/ボール直径7」が0.3未満であると、凸部4の外周直径9が小さくなりすぎる可能性がある。凸部4の外周直径9が小さいと外周直径9と内周直径10の差が小さくなる可能性がある。外周直径9と内周直径10の差が小さくなると、複数のトレイ1を上下に重ねたときに下側のトレイ1に収納されたセラミックスボール3に接する凸部4の面積が小さくなる。トレイ1の搬送時の振動で凸部4がセラミックスボール3への当たり方が鋭くなり、破損の原因となる可能性がある。
 また、「凸部の外周直径9/ボール直径7」が0.8を超えると、凸部4の外径が大きくなる過ぎる可能性がある。凸部4の外径が大きくしたとしても、それ以上の効果が得られない。また、「凸部の外周直径9/ボール直径7」が0.8以下であると収納トレイ1を軽量化する効果がある。
 他方、「凸部の内周直径10/ボール直径7」が0.1以上0.6以下の範囲内であると、複数のトレイ1を上下に重ねたときに下側のトレイ1に収納したセラミックスボール3を抑える効果をさらに得ることができる。
 また、「凸部の内周直径10/ボール直径7」が0.1未満であると、内周直径10が小さくなり過ぎる可能性がある。また、「凸部の内周直径10/ボール直径7」が0.6を超えると、凸部4の幅が狭くなり過ぎる可能性がある。凸部4の幅が狭くなり過ぎると、複数のトレイ1を上下に重ねたときに下側のトレイ1に収納したセラミックスボール3への凸部4の当たり方が鋭くなり、破損の原因となる可能性がある。
 このため、「凸部の外周直径9/ボール直径7」が0.3以上0.8以下および「凸部の内周直径10/ボール直径7」が0.1以上0.6以下の両方を満たすことが好ましい。
 (周囲部12)
 収納部2の周囲には周囲部12がある。この周囲部12は隣り合う収納部2同士をつないでいる。周囲部12は収納部2の側面を覆うような筐体であってもよい。なお、複数の収納部2のうち端(例えば、図1では上端、下橋および右端)の収納部2のさらに外側にも周囲部12を設けてもよい。また、収納部2の周囲の周囲部12にトレイ1の開口部側から底面部11側に向かってくぼみ14を設けることが好ましい。くぼみ14を介してボール3を保持した指またはロボットアームをトレイ1の開口部から収納部2に向かって挿入し易くなるため、収納部2にボール3をセットし易くすることができる。また、くぼみ14を介して指またはロボットアームで収納部2に収納されたボール3を掴みやすくなるので、収納部2に収納されたボール3をトレイ1から取り出し易くすることができる。
 (収納トレイ1の材料)
 収納トレイ1はプラスチックからなることが好ましい。プラスチックは合成樹脂とも呼ばれている。プラスチックは、石油などに由来する高分子材料を主原料とした可塑性を有する物質のことである。プラスチックは、熱や圧力を加えることにより成形加工を行うことができる。プラスチックは成形加工が可能なため、前述のような収納部2を形成するのに適している。トレイ1の材質としては、プラスチック、ゴム、紙、ガラス、セラミックスなどが挙げられる。この中ではプラスチックが強度と軽量化の観点から適している。また、プラスチックとしては、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、ポリプロピレン(PP)、ポリエチレン(PE)などが挙げられる。この中では、ポリエチレンテレフタレートが好ましい。ポリエチレンテレフタレートはリサイクル性が良いためである。
 (セラミックスボール3)
 収納トレイ1に収納されるセラミックスボール3の直径7は10mm以上であることが好ましい。つまり、収納部2は、直径が10mm以上であるセラミックスボール3を収納可能なサイズ及び形状を備える。セラミックスボール3は直径が大きくなると、収納トレイ1の搬送時の振動で接触する面積も大きくなる。また、セラミックスボール3の直径が大きくなると重量も増えていく。重量が増えると、振動でぶつかる応力も増える。実施形態にかかる収納トレイ1を用いることにより、搬送時の振動の影響を抑制できる。言い換えると、収納トレイ1は、直径10mm以上のセラミックスボール3を収納することに効果的なトレイであると言える。なお、セラミックスボール3の直径の上限は特に限定されるものではないが、100mm以下が好ましい。また、実施形態にかかる収納トレイ1は直径が10mm未満のセラミックスボール3にも適用してもよいものである。
 また、セラミックスボール3は、窒化珪素焼結体、サイアロン焼結体、酸化アルミニウム焼結体、酸化ジルコニウム焼結体、アルジル焼結体から選ばれる1種または2種以上が挙げられる。アルジル焼結体とは酸化アルミニウムと酸化ジルコニウムを混合した焼結体である。例えば、窒化珪素焼結体とは、窒化珪素を85質量%以上含有した焼結体が挙げられる。
 セラミックスボール3は窒化珪素焼結体であることが好ましい。窒化珪素焼結体は、酸化アルニウム焼結体などと比べて高価である。トレイ1の搬送時にセラミックスボール3に破損があると、経済的な損失は大きい。このため、実施形態の収納トレイ1は窒化珪素焼結体からなるセラミックスボール3に適用するのが好ましい。
 また、窒化珪素焼結体、サイアロン焼結体、酸化ジルコニウム焼結体およびアルジル焼結体は、3点曲げ強度800MPa以上のものが存在する。一方、酸化アルミニウム焼結体は、3点曲げ強度300~500MPa程度である。実施形態の収納トレイ1に収納されるセラミックスボール3が強度の低い酸化アルミニウム製セラミックスボールであったとしても、破損を抑制することができる。
 (セラミックスボール3の収納方法)
 セラミックスボール3の収納方法は、以上のような収納トレイ1を用い、収納工程において、セラミックスボール3を収納する。具体的には、収納工程は、セラミックスボール3を保持した指またはロボットアームを収納トレイ1の開口部から収納部2に向かって挿入し、収納部2にボール3をセットして収納する工程と、セラミックスボール3が収納された複数の収納トレイ1を上下に重ねる工程とを含む。次いで、セラミックスボール3の収納方法は、搬送工程おいて、複数の収納トレイ1を上下に重ねた状態で搬送する。収納トレイ1の構成により、収納トレイ1の搬送時の振動によりセラミックスボール3が破損するのを抑制することができる。
 なお、収納トレイ1に複数の収納部2を設けたとき、収納トレイ1はすべての収納部2にセラミックスボール3が収納されていなくてもよいものとする。例えば、帯状部を具備するセラミックスボール3は研磨加工を施すことにより、真球状のセラミックスボール3となる。真球状のセラミックスボール3はベアリングボールとして使用できる。また、複数個のベアリングボールを用いてベアリングを組み立てる。ベアリングを完成させるにあたって、トレイ1の搬送工程は発生する。トレイ1の搬送時におけるセラミックスボール3の破損抑制は重要である。
 (振動試験および落下試験の要領)
 実施形態にかかる収納トレイ1は、ボール3を収納した複数の収納トレイ1を上下に重ねてもよいものとする。収納部2が上記構成を具備することにより、複数の収納トレイ1を上下に重ねたとき、上下で隣り合うセラミックスボール3が接触しないようにすることができる。また、複数の収納トレイ1を上下に重ねたとき、凸部4を介して、上下で隣り合うセラミックスボール3同士が接触していてもよい。複数の収納トレイ1を重ねることができると、トレイ1の搬送作業を効率的に行うことができる。また、前述のように凸部4を設けることにより、上下のトレイ1をはめ合わせる構造を取ることができる。複数のトレイ1を重ねて搬送する際に、上下のトレイ1が位置ずれを起こすことを抑制することができる。
 以上のような収納トレイ1は、振動や落下により、セラミックスボール3が破損するのを抑制することができる。収納トレイ1の性能評価はJIS-Z-0200(2013)にある振動試験および落下試験で行うことができる。なお、JIS-Z-0200はISO4180に対応している。
 JIS-Z-0200の振動試験のレベル1および落下試験1のレベル1を行ったとしても、セラミックスボール3の破損を抑制することができる。振動試験はレベルがあり、レベル1が最も厳しい条件である。同様に、落下試験もレベルがあり、レベル1が最も厳しい条件である。
 実施形態にかかる収納トレイ1は、振動試験のレベル1、落下試験のレベル1を行ったとしてもトレイ自体の破損がない。また、振動試験のレベル1をセラミックスボール3を収納したトレイ1に対して行ったとしても、セラミックスボール3の破損を0%以上1%以下にすることができる。同様に、落下試験のレベル1をセラミックスボール3を収納したトレイ1で行ったとしても、セラミックスボール3の破損を0%以上1%以下にすることができる。このため、セラミックスボール3が搬送時に破損するのを抑制することができる。
 (実施例)
 (実施例1~10、比較例1~4)
 実施例1~10にかかる収納トレイ1と、比較例1~4に係る収納トレイは、横523mm×縦415mmのプラスチック製のものを用意した。実施例1~10にかかる収納トレイ1には収納部2を設けた。一方で、比較例1、4に係る収納トレイには収納部2を設けず、比較例2、3に係る収納トレイには収納部2の範囲外の収納部を設けた。収納されるセラミックスボールと収納部の形状は表1に示したものとした。
 また、実施例1~8および比較例1~3にかかる、収納トレイに収納されるセラミックスボールは窒化珪素焼結体からなるものとした。また、実施例9~10および比較例4にかかる、収納トレイに収納されるセラミックスボールは酸化アルミニウム焼結体からなるものとした。窒化珪素焼結体製セラミックスボールは3点曲げ強度950MPaのものを用いた。また、酸化アルミニウム製セラミックスボールは3点曲げ強度400MPaのものを用いた。

 比較例1および比較例4は横523mm×縦415mmの四角形状の容器とした。このため、比較例1は収納部を設けていないものである。
 また、比較例2は凸部を設けない以外は実施例1と同じものとした。また、比較例3は外周高さ/ボール直径が0.5になるものとした。
 実施例および比較例にかかる収納トレイに関し、凸部の外周高さ/ボール直径、凸部の内周高さ/ボール直径、凸部の外周直径/ボール直径、凸部の内周直径/ボール直径、収納部の高さ/ボール直径、1つの収納トレイ内の収納部の個数を表2に示した。

 実施例および比較例にかかる収納トレイのすべての収納部に、セラミックスボールを収納した。また、比較例1、4には、1つの収納部に20個のセラミックスボールを収納した。
 実施例および比較例にかかるそれぞれの収納トレイに対して、振動試験および落下試験を行った。試験は、セラミックスボールを収納した収納トレイを上下方向に3段重ねて行った。3段重ねた収納トレイをダンボールで梱包し、結束バンドで固定したものを供試品とした。結束バンドの固定は、縦方向に2か所、横方向に2か所行った。
 振動試験はJIS-Z-0200(2013)のランダム振動試験のレベル1に準拠して行った。振動周波数は6Hz、振動方向は垂直方向とし、180分間行った。
 落下試験はJIS-Z-0200(2013)のレベル1に準拠して行った。落下高さは60cmとした。また、落下順序は、2-3-5角、3-5りょう、2-3りょう、2-5りょう、2-3-6角、3-6角、2-6りょう、5面、6面、2面、3面、1面、の順とした。
 振動試験後と、落下試験後とでそれぞれセラミックスボールの破損の有無を調べた。試験は供試品をそれぞれ10個ずつ用意して行った。
 振動試験および落下試験で破損したセラミックスボールの割合をそれぞれ破損率(%)として調べた。破損率(%)は、次の式から求められる。
 破損率(%)=(破損した個数/収納部に収納した個数)×100
 その結果を表3に示す。

 表3から分かる通り、実施例1~10にかかる収納トレイ1を用いた場合は、セラミックスボールの破損は確認されなかった。実施例9~10にかかる収納トレイ1のように、強度の低い酸化アルミニウム焼結体製セラミックスボールであっても破損はなかった。
 比較例1、4のように収納部を具備しない四角い箱では、破損率が大きくなった。特に、比較例4に示す強度の低い酸化アルミニウム焼結体製セラミックスボールの場合は、破損率の上昇は顕著であった。また、比較例2のように収納部に凸部がないものは、トレイを上下に重ねたときに凸部でボールを抑えきれていないため破損率が高くなった。また、比較例3のように凸部が高すぎると、トレイが上下に重ねられた際、下側のトレイに収納されたボールへの応力が大きくなるため破損率が上昇した。
 以上説明した少なくとも1つの実施形態によれば、セラミックスボール収納トレイに収納されたセラミックスボールの割れおよびカケ等の破損を低減することができる。
 以上、本発明のいくつかの実施形態を例示したが、これらの実施形態は、例として提示したものであり、発明の範囲を限定することは意図していない。これら新規な実施形態は、その他の様々な形態で実施されることが可能であり、発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で、種々の省略、置き換え、変更などを行うことができる。これら実施形態はその変形例は、発明の範囲や要旨に含まれると共に、特許請求の範囲に記載された発明とその均等の範囲に含まれる。また、前述の各実施形態は、相互に組み合わせて実施することができる。

Claims (15)

  1.  セラミックスボールを収納する収納部を有するセラミックスボール収納トレイであって、
     前記収納部は、前記収納部の底面部の中央が中空で形成される凸部を有し、
     前記セラミックスボールの直径に対する前記凸部の外周面の高さが0.05以上0.30以下の範囲内であることを特徴とするセラミックスボール収納トレイ。
  2.  前記セラミックスボールの直径に対する前記収納部の高さが1.05以上2.00以下の範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のセラミックスボール収納トレイ。
  3.  前記セラミックスボールの直径に対する前記凸部の内周面の高さが0.01以上0.10以下の範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項2のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックスボール収納トレイ。
  4.  前記セラミックスボールの直径に対する前記凸部の外周面の直径が0.3以上0.8以下の範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックスボール収納トレイ。
  5.  前記セラミックスボールの直径に対する前記凸部の内周面の直径が0.1以上0.6以下の範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項4のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックスボール収納トレイ。
  6.  前記収納部は、直径が10mm以上である前記セラミックスボールを収納可能なサイズ及び形状を備えることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックスボール収納トレイ。
  7.  前記凸部の外周面の高さは3mm以上であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項6のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックスボール収納トレイ。
  8.  前記セラミックスボール収納トレイはプラスチックからなることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項7のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックスボール収納トレイ。
  9.  前記凸部は、前記底面部の前記中央が中空で形成される中空円筒形状であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項8のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックスボール収納トレイ。
  10.  請求項1ないし請求項9のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックスボール収納トレイを用いて、前記セラミックスボールを収納した複数の前記セラミックスボール収納トレイを上下に重ねることを特徴とするセラミックスボールの収納方法。
  11.  前記複数のセラミックスボール収納トレイを上下に重ねたとき、上下で隣り合うセラミックスボール同士が接触しないことを特徴とする請求項10に記載のセラミックスボールの収納方法。
  12.  前記複数のセラミックスボール収納トレイを上下に重ねたとき、前記凸部を介して、上下で隣り合うセラミックスボール同士が接触していることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のセラミックスボールの収納方法。
  13.  前記複数のセラミックスボール収納トレイのそれぞれに帯状部を具備する前記セラミックスボールを収納し、前記複数のセラミックスボール収納トレイを上下に重ねることを特徴とする請求項10ないし請求項12のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックスボールの収納方法。
  14.  前記複数のセラミックスボール収納トレイのそれぞれに窒化珪素焼結体からなる前記セラミックスボールを収納し、前記複数のセラミックスボール収納トレイを上下に重ねることを特徴とする請求項10ないし請求項13のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックスボールの収納方法。
  15.  前記セラミックスボールが収納された前記複数のセラミックスボール収納トレイを上下に重ねた状態で搬送を行うことを特徴とする請求項10ないし請求項14のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックスボールの収納方法。
