- a temperature value detected by the temperature sensor 2 is input to the controller 71 .
- the controller 71 for example, represents and handles the temperature value as an absolute temperature.
- the differential pressure value detected by the differential pressure sensor 3 is input to the controller 71 .
- the pressure value detected by the intake pressure sensor 4 is input to the controller 71 .
- the controller 71 periodically acquires the temperature value detected by the temperature sensor 2 , the differential pressure value detected by the differential pressure sensor 3 , and the pressure value detected by the intake pressure sensor 4 .
- an operation command from the operation device 28 is input to the controller 71 .
- the communication device 74 can transmit and receive data by communicating with a server or the like outside the work machine 20 by wireless communication, wired communication, or the like.
- the controller 71 determines failure of the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 based on the values detected by the temperature sensor 2, the differential pressure sensor 3, and the intake pressure sensor 4. Specifically, for example, the controller 71 may determine failure of the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 based on the index.
- the index is a value based on the ratio of the filter inlet side temperature to the filter outlet side temperature, and the ratio of the differential pressure (differential pressure between the filter inlet side pressure and the filter outlet side pressure) and the intake pressure of the engine 51. may be The controller 71 may determine that the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 has failed when this index exceeds the threshold.
- the value obtained by dividing the filter outlet side temperature by the filter inlet side temperature is represented by "a", and the differential pressure between the filter inlet side pressure and the filter outlet side pressure is divided by the intake pressure of the engine 51.
- the index may be a value represented by 'a/b'.
- the filter 11 When the filter 11 is clogged, the ratio of the differential pressure to the intake pressure of the engine 51 in the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 becomes larger than the ratio in normal times, and the value of "b" becomes larger.
- the filter 11 When the filter 11 is clogged, it means that a large amount of fine particles are deposited on the filter 11, and if the fine particles are burned in this state, the filter 11 may be damaged by melting.
- the value of "b” increases, the index "a/b" falls below the normal lower limit (threshold). Therefore, by detecting that the index falls below the lower limit value, the controller 71 can detect a failure of the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 before the filter 11 is eroded.
- the filter 11 may be melted.
- the controller 71 can detect the failure of the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 before the filter 11 is eroded.
- the index may be obtained by multiplying "a/b” by a coefficient learned from past data.
- the index may be a number "g(a/b)" that includes "a/b” multiplied by a factor f(t) that varies with time t.
- the values of "a” and “b” in the index may be weighted.
- the value of "a” may be set to have a greater weight than the value of "b".
- the product “a ⁇ b” of “a” and “b” may be used as an index.
- the upper limit value (threshold value) of the index in the normal state is set considering that the value of "b” increases when the filter 11 is clogged and the value of "a” increases when the filter 11 is at a high temperature.
- the failure of the exhaust gas aftertreatment device 10 is determined based on the filter inlet side temperature, the filter outlet side temperature, the pressure difference between the filter inlet side pressure and the filter outlet side pressure, and the intake air pressure of the engine 51. be.
- the amount of particles deposited on the filter 11 can be determined from the differential pressure between the filter inlet side pressure and the filter outlet side pressure.
- the temperature state of the filter 11 can be known from the filter inlet side temperature and the filter outlet side temperature. Therefore, by using the differential pressure between the filter inlet side pressure and the filter outlet side pressure, and the filter inlet side temperature and the filter outlet side temperature for determination, failure of the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 can be detected before the filter 11 is melted. can be detected.
- the outputs of the temperature sensor 2, the differential pressure sensor 3, and the intake pressure sensor 4 do not change significantly. Therefore, failure of the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 can be detected with high accuracy.
- the controller 71 may perform control for notifying the determination result when the controller 71 (specifically, the determination means) determines that the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 has failed. .
- the controller 71 may transmit, via the communication device 74 , to an external device such as a server located outside the working machine 20 that the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 has failed.
- a person outside the work machine 20 can be notified that the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 has failed. Therefore, for example, when the work machine 20 is automatically operated, the work machine 20 can be operated to stop the operation. Further, the controller 71 may transmit a failure of the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 to a terminal device for remotely controlling the work machine 20 . In this case, it is possible to inform the remote operator who performs the remote control that the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 has failed. As described above, it is possible to prevent the work machine 20 from continuing to operate in a situation where the filter 11 is likely to be eroded.
- the controller 71 limits the output of the power source within a predetermined range when the controller 71 (specifically, determining means) determines that the exhaust gas aftertreatment device 10 has failed. You may perform control for. Specifically, the controller 71 limits the output of at least one of the engine 51, the hydraulic pump 52, and the control valve group 53 within a predetermined range.
- the regeneration process is a process of increasing the load on the engine 51 to heat the filter 11 to burn particulates deposited on the filter 11 .
- the controller 71 calculates the cumulative time during which the operating device 28 outputs the operation command while the controller 71 (specifically, the limiting means) limits the output of the power source. can be calculated.
- the controller 71 causes the storage device 73 to store this accumulated time. From this, it can be known how long the movable part has been operating in a state where it is determined that the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 has failed and the output of the power source is restricted. Then, the controller 71 transmits the accumulated time stored in the storage device 73 to the outside from the communication device 74 at the timing when the engine 51 is stopped, for example.
- the controller 71 (specifically, security processing means) performs information security-related processing on at least one of the values detected by the temperature sensor 2 , the differential pressure sensor 3 , and the intake pressure sensor 4 .
- the controller 71 verifies this signature, and if the verification succeeds, calculates an index based on the signed detection value.
- the controller 71 verifying the signature attached to the detection value transmitted to the controller 71, falsification of the detection value can be detected, and the sender can be confirmed to prevent spoofing. Thereby, the security of the detection value can be ensured.
- An external device such as a server outside work machine 20 may verify the signature.
- the controller 71 itself is desirably mounted in a tamper-resistant area. For example, it is desirable to store the controller 71 in the housing so that it is difficult to remove it illegally, or to detect that the controller 71 has been illegally removed from the housing.
- At least one of the temperature sensor 2, the differential pressure sensor 3, and the intake pressure sensor 4 may encrypt the detected value to be sent to the controller 71.
- Encryption may be a public key cryptosystem or a common key cryptosystem.
- the controller 71 decrypts the encrypted detection value, and when the decryption is successful, calculates an index based on the decrypted detection value.
- An external device such as a server outside work machine 20 may decode the detected value.
- the controller 71 preferably stores the encrypted detection value in a tamper-resistant area (a chip or the like that is tamper-resistant against unauthorized access).
- FIG. 5 is a flowchart of diagnostic processing.
- the controller 71 activates the temperature sensor 2, the differential pressure sensor 3, and the intake pressure sensor 4 (step S1).
- the controller 71 calculates indices based on the detected values of the temperature sensor 2, the differential pressure sensor 3, and the intake pressure sensor 4 (step S2).
- the controller 71 detects the filter inlet side temperature and the filter outlet side temperature based on the values detected by the temperature sensor 2 (temperature detection step), and detects the filter inlet side temperature based on the values detected by the differential pressure sensor 3.
- the differential pressure between the side pressure and the filter outlet side pressure is detected (differential pressure detection step)
- the intake pressure of the engine 51 is detected based on the value detected by the intake pressure sensor 4 (intake pressure detection step)
- these detections Calculate the index using the results.
- step S3 determines whether or not the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 is in a state of failure (abnormal state) (step S3, determination step). If it is determined in step S3 that the state is not abnormal (S3: NO), the controller 71 returns to step S2. On the other hand, if it is determined in step S3 that there is an abnormality (S3: YES), the controller 71 notifies the determination result (step S4). The controller 71 then limits the output of the power source within a predetermined range (step S5), and terminates this flow.
- the filter inlet-side temperature, the filter outlet-side temperature, the differential pressure between the filter inlet-side pressure and the filter outlet-side pressure, and the intake pressure of the engine 51 the failure of the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 is determined.
- the controller 71 multiplies the ratio of the filter inlet side temperature and the filter outlet side temperature by the ratio of the differential pressure between the filter inlet side pressure and the filter outlet side pressure and the intake pressure of the engine 51.
- a failure of the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 can be determined based on the index, which is a value. Since such an index is dimensionless, failure of the exhaust gas aftertreatment device 10 can be detected with high accuracy by using this index for any type of work machine 20. .
- the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 when it is determined that the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 has failed, it is possible to notify the result of the determination. For example, when the determination result is notified in the work machine 20, the operator who operates the work machine 20 can be informed that the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 has failed. Further, when the determination result is notified to the outside of the working machine 20 via the communication device 74, it is possible to inform a person outside the working machine 20 that the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 has failed. . Therefore, for example, when the work machine 20 is automatically operated, the work machine 20 can be operated to stop the operation.
- a terminal device for remotely operating the work machine 20 is configured to transmit a message indicating that the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 has failed
- the remote operator who remotely operates the exhaust gas after-treatment device 10 can be notified that the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 has failed. can tell Therefore, it is possible to prevent the working machine 20 from continuing to operate in a situation where the filter 11 is likely to be eroded.
- the filter 11 when it is determined that the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 has failed, it is possible to limit the output of the power source within a predetermined range.
- the filter 11 When the upper limit of the power source output is restricted, the filter 11 can be prevented from being melted. Further, when the lower limit of the output of the power source is restricted and the load applied to the engine 51 is increased, the regeneration process of the exhaust gas post-treatment device 10 can be assisted.
- information security processing can be performed on at least one of the values detected by the temperature sensor 2, the differential pressure sensor 3, and the intake pressure sensor 4. Accordingly, information security can be ensured by, for example, detecting falsification of the detected value or encrypting the detected value.
