Description

PIPE CONNECTOR GROUP COMPRISING FITTINGS MADE FROM WIREROD FOR PANEL RADIATORS WITH 8 INLET-OUTLET
Technical Field
The invention relates to obtaining a compact heater panel radiator with fittings used in heater panel radiators, reducing production costs and increasing efficiency.
Said invention relates to the fittings made of wirerod by cold forging method and integrated into all existing production lines, and water direction of which is determined depending on the manufacturer's request, to be used in heater panel radiators with 8 inlets and outlets.
Prior art
Today, fittings used in the manufacture of heater panel radiators are very important. The number of fittings that can be used for a radiator ranges from at least 4 up to 8 or more.
There are prior art practices similar to the subject of the invention for fittings used in panel radiators. In the prior art developed in 1984, by means of the fitting placed on the heater panel radiator, the water inlet and outlet are realized only from the side parts of the heater panel radiator. However, the positioning of the fittings only on the sides narrows the usage area of the heater panel radiator considerably. The fact that the water inlet and outlet is only from the sides of the heater panel radiator reveals the need to place fittings at different points of the panel. In line with this need, a technique was developed again in 1984. By means of the developed technique, fittings are placed both on the sides and the bottom of the heater panel radiator. Thus, water inlet and outlet are provided from both the side parts and the lower-side parts of the heater panel radiators. By this way, the use of panel radiators in water lines with water connections from the side parts or from the lower-side part is provided. The transmission of hot water entering from the lower-side fitting is carried up through the pipe that is between the fitting placed on the panel in the lower-side part and the thermostat located in the side-upperright part. In order to connect the heater panel radiator to the appropriate area, depending on the location of the connection area, the connection area and the lower-side fitting of the panel radiator are placed oppositely. However, in cases where the lower-side fitting of the heater panel radiator does not correspond to the connection area, the heater panel radiator needs to be rotated by 180°. However, when the heater panel radiator has to be rotated, the space to be used is not always enough. For this reason, in areas with water connections from the side-floor, only one side of the heater panel radiators is used. If there is not enough space for the heater panel radiator, the connection of the heater panel radiator to the required connection area cannot be achieved. This situation remained insufficient at the point of development of the usage area of the fittings developed in 1984. For this reason, a new technical study was carried out in 1996 based on the state of the art. The fitting, which was placed in the lower-side part of the heater radiator panel in the prior art, was taken to the lower-middle part of the panel with the technique developed in 1996. By providing the water inlet and outlet from the lower-middle part of the heater panel radiator, both sides of the panel radiator are made suitable for connection. By this way, the problem of limited space is eliminated and even if the panel is rotated, the panel is connected from both sides of the radiator. However, the technique developed in 1996 was insufficient as the fittings used could not fully provide water circulation and heat transfer.
In the most recent prior art developed in 2018, to solve the above-mentioned problems using fittings both in the lower-middle part and the lower-side part of the heater panel radiator is enabled. Thus, it is ensured that the panel radiator has 8 inputs and outputs. The produced fittings have a channel structure with inlets and outlets on both sides. A ring is placed on the fittings used in prior art. Water flows in different directions through each hole on the ring, which was also used in prior art. The task of a single ring on the fitting is to transmit water in such a way that all directed water flow directions are perpendicular to each other. However, it is not possible to ensure that the system required for the use of the placed ring in panel radiators is compatible with the existing production lines of all panel radiator manufacturers in the world. The manufacturer needs to change the existing production line with this developed technique. However, it is very costly for the manufacturer to change the production line. For this reason, the manufacturer cannot integrate the ring system into the heater panel radiator production process in this technique. Therefore, existing problems cannot be solved with this technique. The fact that the pipe structure of the fittings has inlets and outlets from both sides reduces the efficiency of the panel radiators considerably.
The problems mentioned above have made it necessary to carry out R.&D studies on fittings.
The Aim of the Invention
The aim of the invention is to improve the fittings used in heater panel radiators by solving the problems and disruptions experienced in the previous art.
The aim of the invention is to expand the usage area of 8-hole fittings in heater panel radiators and to enable them to be used in harmony with the existing production lines of all panel radiator manufacturers in the world.
Another aim of the invention is to produce a panel radiator with 8-hole fittings in the radiator production line. It eliminates the need for ring investment.
Another aim of the invention is for the developed fitting to be easily included in the heater panel radiator production processes and thus reduce the production cost.
Another aim of the invention is to make the production cost very low by way of the production of the fitting from wirerod by cold forging method.
Another aim of the invention is to determine, depending on the manufacturer's request, the water direction of the fitting made of filled material by cold forging method, and thereby maximize the efficiency by increasing the heat transfer of the heater panel radiator.
Another aim of the invention is to obtain two alternative flow directions, allowing both central and lateral connections.

A. Heater Panel Radiator
The lower middle fitting (3), that is the subject of the invention, that provides ease of production and increases efficiency in heater panel radiators (A), is shown in Figure- 1. The full part of the lower middle fitting (3) is produced from wirerod by cold forging method. The full part is shaped by cold forging and machining. The full part of the lower middle fitting (3) is spherical in the middle and cylindrical on the side. After the shaping process is completed, the sleeve (9) that provides the water outlet is welded to the full lower part of the lower middle fitting (3). The required water direction for the water outlet is determined in the lower middle fitting (3). To the full part of the lower middle fitting (3) of the present invention, a water guiding channel (10) is opened in such a way that an L form is given for the water direction. By this way, water inlet and outlet are prevented in one direction by blunting one side of the lower middle fitting (3) (leaving it full- unprocessed).
The lower middle fitting (3), which is produced from wirerod by cold forging, is produced by suitable machining and drilling on the full part so as to open an L- or T-shaped water guiding channel (10) as an alternative. The L- or T-shaped water guiding channel (10) structure can be used for all of the elements in the heater panel radiator (A).
After the L- or T-shaped water guiding channel (10) is opened, it is welded to the full part of the lower middle fitting (3) with a sleeve (9) and a single inlet fitting made of cylindrical pipe.
All fittings used in the heating panel radiator (A) can be produced in spherical and cylindrical structures. As seen in Figure - 1 and Figure - 2, the water distribution ring (14) is placed on the fittings located at the corners of the heater panel radiator (A), as in the prior art. The water distribution ring (14) is placed on both arms of the fittings located in the corners. By means of the holes on the water distribution ring (14) placed, the transmission of water between the fittings in the heating panel radiator (A) is ensured. By means of the spherical structure of the middle part of the fitting, the sleeves (9) providing the inlet or outlet are welded more strongly without any additional operation. By this way, the fittings of the said invention easily adapt to the heating panel radiator (A) production lines. The fittings, which are easily integrated into the heater panel radiator (A) production lines, are in the form of standard fittings, and because of this form, they are used in harmony with the existing production lines of all panel radiator manufacturers in the world.
In Figure - 1, the lower left fitting (2) connected to the heater panel radiator (A) is seen. The production of the side lower left fitting (2) is alternatively produced from cold forging and machining, and a water passage channel (11) is opened on the inside by machining, or the side lower left fitting (2) is produced from the pipe by the inflation method and the water passage channel (11) made of cylindrical pipe is welded to its inner part. The side lower left fitting (2) of the present invention is produced from wirerod by cold forging and drilling. By proper processing into the side lower left fitting (2) produced from wirerod by cold forging and drilling, two different flow paths, horizontal and vertical, are obtained. Alternative flow path is obtained by means of the water passage channel (11) and horizontal flow channel (12) opened inside the side lower left fitting (2) for the flow path. Side lower left fitting (2) can optionally be produced with at least two sleeves (9) depending on the usage situation. The side lower left fitting (2) of the present invention is produced with three sleeves (9) as seen in Figure-1.
Suitable fittings are determined for the inlet and outlet of water in the heater panel radiator (A). All of the fittings connected to the heater panel radiator (A) provide inlet and outlet of the water. However, the water inlet and outlet of the fittings that are on the sides of the heater panel radiator (A) in the present invention will not be mentioned, but only the water inlet and outlet flow path of the fittings connected to the lower parts of the heater panel radiator (A) will be mentioned. Alternative flow paths will be explained again in detail below after the water inlet and outlet paths of the fittings connected to the lower part of the heater panel radiator (A) are determined.
Figure - 1 shows the positioning of fittings with 8 inlet and/or outlet on the heater panel radiator (A). As mentioned above, the water inlets and outlets of the heater panel radiator (A) will be determined through the fittings connected only to the lower parts of the heater panel radiator (A) in the present invention. With the determined water inlet and outlet of the present invention, 2 different flow paths are obtained.
To obtain the 1st flow path, plugs are placed in the sleeves (9) on the side left outlet (2.3), lower middle outlet (3.2), lower middle inlet (3.1), side lower right fitting (4) and side upper right fitting (5). By this way, water inlet and outlet ways are preferred depending on the sleeves (9) in which the plugs are used. By placing the plugs, only the side lower outlet (2.2) and the side lower inlet (2.1) remain in the open position. In accordance with the usage areas with water connection installation, fittings are connected from the lower side to the side lower outlet (2.2) and side lower inlet (2.1) in a way to correspond to connection areas on the floor for the water inlet and outlet of the heater panel radiator (A). The fitting of the side lower inlet (2.1) and the hot water inlet connection area are brought opposite to each other. The side lower outlet (2.2) fitting and the cold outlet connection area are brought opposite to each other. By this way, the heating panel radiator (A) is placed on the existing water connections. For the 1st flow path obtained, first of all, hot water enters from the water connections by means of the sleeves (9) placed on the side lower inlet (2.1) fitting. Hot water moves in G1 direction in the vertical connection pipe (6) seen in Figure-1. The advancing hot water reaches the thermostatic valve housing (1.2). Hot water reaching the thermostatic valve housing (1.2) moves towards the thermostatic valve (1.1) in G1 direction again. The water flow proceeds directly to the thermostat (1) through the water passage channel (11) opened into the multi-directional side lower inlet (2.1) fitting made of wirerod. After the water temperature is determined in the thermostatic valve (1.1), the water direction changes by 90° by means of the water distribution ring (14) placed on the upper left fitting (1) and circulates on the back and front face of the heater panel radiator (A) and proceeds to the other fittings. Water flows in different directions through each hole on the water distribution ring (14), which is also used in prior art. The task of a single water distribution ring (14) on the fitting is to transmit water in such a way that all directed water flow directions are perpendicular to each other. The water circulating in the heater radiator panel (A) through water distribution rings (14) is transmitted to side left outlet (2.3) or side lower outlet (2.2) fittings. Since the side left outlet (2.3), lower middle outlet (3.2), lower middle inlet (3.1), side lower right fitting (4) and side upper right fitting (5) are closed with a plug, transferred water exits only from the side lower outlet (2.2) connection.
To obtain the 2nd flow path, different from the 1st flow path, plugs are placed in the sleeves (9) on the side left outlet (2.3), lower middle outlet (2.2), lower middle inlet (2.1), side lower right fitting (4) and side upper right fitting (5). By this way, water inlet and outlet ways are preferred depending on the sleeves (9) in which the plugs are used. By placing the plugs, only the side middle outlet (3.2) and the side middle inlet (3.1) remain in the open position. In accordance with the usage areas with water connection installation, fittings are connected from the lower middle part to the side middle outlet (3.2) and side middle inlet (3.1) in a way to correspond to connection areas on the floor for the water inlet and outlet of the heater panel radiator (A). The fitting of the side middle inlet (3.1) and the hot water inlet connection area are brought opposite to each other. The side middle outlet (3.2) fitting and the cold outlet connection area are brought opposite to each other. For the 2st flow path obtained, first of all, hot water enters from the water connections by means of the sleeves (9) placed on the side middle inlet (3.1) fitting. Hot water moves in G2 direction in the cross connection pipe (8) seen in Figure-1. The advancing hot water reaches the thermostatic valve housing (1.2). Reaching hot water moves towards the thermostat (1) in G2 direction. The water flow proceeds directly to the thermostat (1) through the cross connection pipe (8) welded to the lower middle inlet (3.1) fitting. After the water temperature is determined in the thermostat (1), the water direction changes by 90° by means of the water distribution ring (14) placed on the thermostat (1) and circulates on the back and front face of the heater panel radiator (A) and proceeds to the other fittings. Water flows in different directions through each hole on the water distribution ring (14), which is also used in prior art. The water circulating in the heater radiator panel (A) through water distribution rings (14) is directly transmitted to side left outlet (2.3) or side lower outlet (2.2) fittings. Since the side left outlet (2.3) and side lower outlet (2.2) are closed with plugs, the water flow proceeds directly in the horizontal connection pipe (7) in G2 direction. The water advancing in the horizontal connection pipe (7) welded between the side lower left fitting (2) and the lower middle outlet (3) fitting reaches the lower middle outlet (3.2) fitting. Since one direction of the lower middle outlet (3.2) fitting with L-shaped water guiding channel (10) is blunted, water is directly transferred from the formed L-shaped water directing channel (10) outwardly in the G2 direction. By means of the L-shaped water direction channel (10) structure of the lower middle outlet (3.2) fitting, the water path proceeds in one direction. By this way, incoming and outgoing water is prevented from mixing, and the efficiency of the heater panel radiator (A) is maximized.
By means of the water passage channel (11) and the horizontal connection pipe (7) opened in the production of the side lower inlet (2.1) fitting, it allows the use of two different flow paths described above. Depending on the use, the direction and number of alternative flow paths of the side lower inlet (2.1) fitting may change. By means of the fittings in the present invention, the water connection installation is used for all heater panel radiators (A) from the side, lower-side or lower-middle part. All the fittings of the invention are easily integrated into the existing production lines of all panel radiator manufacturers in the world, thus providing solutions to the problems existing in the prior art.
The distance (13) between the cylindrical pipe (6) and the horizontal connection pipe (7) inside the heater panel radiator (A) can vary according to the needs of the heater panel radiator (A) manufacturer.
The thermostatic valve housing (1.2) located in the heater panel radiator (A) and establishing the connection with the thermostatic valve (1.1) can be adapted to all the heating panel radiator (A) fittings available in the world and can be produced alternatively to allow the use of different valve housings.
