Description

塗装方法および塗装装置
 開示の実施形態は、塗装方法および塗装装置に関する。
 インクジェット方式を利用した塗装装置が知られている。このようなインクジェット方式の塗装装置には、塗装材料を吐出させるためのヘッドが搭載されている。

 実施形態の一態様による塗装方法は、液体を吐出する複数のノズルを有するヘッドを用いて被塗装面の塗装領域を塗装する。塗装方法は、前記塗装領域の縁部に沿う方向に前記ヘッドを移動させながら第1モードで塗装する工程と、前記第1モードよりも吐出率の高い第2モードで塗装する工程とを含む。前記縁部の少なくとも一部を含む第1領域は、前記第1モードで塗装される。
 また、実施形態の一態様による塗装装置は、塗装領域を塗装する。塗装装置は、液体を吐出する複数のノズルを有するヘッドと、前記複数のノズルからの液体の吐出を制御する制御部とを備える。前記塗装装置は、前記ヘッドを前記塗装領域の縁部に沿う方向に移動させながら塗装する第1モードと、前記第1モードよりも吐出率の高い第2モードとを有する。前記制御部は、前記縁部の少なくとも一部を含む第1領域を、前記第1モードで塗装する。

 上述の塗装装置では、塗装品質を向上する点でさらなる改善の余地がある。そこで、塗装品質を向上することができる塗装方法および塗装装置の提供が期待されている。
 以下、添付図面を参照して、本願の開示する塗装方法および塗装装置の実施形態を詳細に説明する。なお、以下に示す実施形態によりこの発明が限定されるものではない。また、図面は模式的なものであり、各要素の寸法の関係、各要素の比率などは、現実と異なる場合があることに留意する必要がある。さらに、図面の相互間においても、互いの寸法の関係や比率が異なる部分が含まれている場合がある。
 また、以下に示す実施形態では、「一定」、「直交」、「垂直」あるいは「平行」といった表現が用いられる場合があるが、これらの表現は、厳密に「一定」、「直交」、「垂直」あるいは「平行」であることを要しない。すなわち、上記した各表現は、たとえば製造精度、設置精度などのずれを許容するものとする。
 また、各実施形態は、処理内容を矛盾させない範囲で適宜組み合わせることが可能である。また、以下の各実施形態において同一の部位には同一の符号を付し、重複する説明は省略される。
[実施形態]
<塗装装置の構成>
 まず、図1を参照して実施形態に係る塗装装置の概要について説明する。図1は、実施形態に係る塗装装置の説明図である。なお、説明を分かりやすくするために、図1には、鉛直上向きを正方向とし、鉛直下向きを負方向とするZ軸を含む3次元の直交座標系を図示している。かかる直交座標系は、後述の説明に用いる他の図面でも示す場合がある。
 図1に示すように、塗装装置1は、ヘッド10と、ロボット20と、制御装置40とを備える。ヘッド10は、例えば、バルブ方式、ピエゾ方式、またはサーマル方式のインクジェットヘッドを用いることができる。ヘッド10として、ピエゾ方式、またはサーマル方式のインクジェットヘッドを用いると、高解像度化を実現しやすい。
 ヘッド10は、ロボット20に固定されている。ヘッド10は、制御装置40によって制御されるロボット20の動作に応じて移動する。ヘッド10は、複数のノズル11を有している。複数のノズル11が位置する面をノズル面12という。
 ヘッド10は、ノズル面12に位置する複数のノズル11から吐出した液体を、ノズル面12と対向する被塗装物30の表面に着弾させることにより、被塗装物30を塗装する。
 ヘッド10には、図示しないタンクから液体が供給される。ヘッド10は、タンクから供給される液体を吐出する。液体は、揮発成分と不揮発成分とを含む混合物であり、流動性を有する。なお、タンクは、ヘッド10に収容された図示しないリザーバであってもよい。
 揮発成分は、例えば、水、有機溶剤、アルコールなどであり、例えば粘度や表面張力といった液体の物性を調整する。不揮発成分は、例えば、顔料、樹脂材料、添加剤を含む。顔料は、所望する塗装色に応じて使用される1または複数の着色顔料を含む。樹脂材料は、被塗装物30に付着して成膜する。添加剤は、例えば耐候性等を目的として添加される機能性材料である。かかる不揮発成分は、揮発成分に溶解されていてもよく、溶解されずに分散されていてもよい。このように、ノズル11から吐出される液体は、複数の成分を混合させて所望の塗装色が発現するように調製された塗装材料である。
 ロボット20は、ヘッド10を保持する。ロボット20は、例えば、6軸の多関節ロボットである。ロボット20は、例えば、垂直多関節ロボットまたは水平多関節ロボットであってもよい。ロボット20は、複数のアーム21を有し、アーム21の先端には、ヘッド10が固定されている。ロボット20は、床面や壁面、天井面などに固定される。なお、保持したヘッド10を適切に移動させることができれば、ロボット20が有するアーム21の自由度に制限はない。
 制御装置40は、塗装装置1を制御する。制御装置40は、塗装装置1を制御する制御部41と、記憶部45とを含む。制御部41は、吐出制御部42と、動作制御部43とを含む。
 制御部41は、例えば、CPU(Central Processing Unit)、ROM(Read Only Memory)、RAM(Random Access Memory)、HDD(Hard Desk Drive)、入出力ポートなどを有するコンピュータや各種回路を含む。かかるコンピュータのCPUは、例えば、ROMに記憶されたプログラムを読み出して実行することによって、制御部41として機能する。また、制御部41は、ASIC(Application Specific Integrated Circuit)やFPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)等のハードウェアで構成されてもよい。
 吐出制御部42は、記憶部45に記憶された設定情報に基づいてヘッド10を制御し、複数のノズル11から被塗装物30に向けて液体を吐出させる。動作制御部43は、記憶部45に記憶された設定情報に基づいて複数のアーム21の動作を制御し、アーム21を介してヘッド10の動きを制御する。ヘッド10と被塗装物30との間の距離は、例えば、0.5mm~20mm程度に保持される。なお、液体の吐出を含むヘッド10の詳細な動きについては後述する。
 記憶部45は、例えば、ROMおよびHDDに対応する。ROMおよびHDDは、制御装置40における各種制御のための設定情報を記憶することができる。記憶部45は、ヘッド10による塗装材料の吐出制御に関する情報を記憶する。また、記憶部45は、複数のアーム21の動作制御に関する情報を記憶する。なお、記憶部45は、図示しない端末装置を用いたユーザの教示作業によって入力されたデータを、ロボット20を動作させるための教示データとして記憶してもよい。また、制御部41は、有線や無線のネットワークで接続された他のコンピュータや可搬型記録媒体を介して設定情報を取得することとしてもよい。
 被塗装物30は、例えば、車体である。被塗装物30は、図示しない搬送装置に載置され、搬出入が行われる。実施形態に係る塗装装置1は、搬送装置を停止させた状態で被塗装物30を塗装する。なお、塗装装置1は、搬送と停止を繰り返し行う被塗装物30を塗装するものであってもよく、被塗装物30の搬送に並行して塗装するものであってもよい。
 図2は、実施形態に係る塗装装置が有するヘッドをノズル面側からみた平面図である。ヘッド10は、平面視で略矩形状を有している。ノズル面12は、ヘッド10の長さ方向に沿う第1辺13と、ヘッド10の幅方向に沿う第2辺14とを有している。ノズル11は、第1辺13に沿う列方向および列方向に交差する行方向に配列されている。ヘッド10は、第2辺14に沿う方向、すなわち、図2に示す例では、Y軸正方向またはY軸負方向に沿って移動しながら液体を吐出し、被塗装物30を塗装する。
 図3は、被塗装物の概略的な構成を示す平面図である。図3に示すように、被塗装物30は、被塗装面30aを有する。ヘッド10は、被塗装面30aのうち、予め定められた塗装領域31を塗装する。
 図4は、吐出された液体が着弾するまでの様子を説明する図である。図4に示すように、ヘッド10のノズル11から吐出された液体50は、被塗装面30aの塗装領域31に液滴51として着弾する。このとき、ノズル11から吐出された液体50は、着弾するまでの間に気流60の影響を受けると、ノズル11の直下から逸れてしまう場合がある。かかる気流60の影響は、例えばヘッド10と被塗装面30aとの間隔g1を5mm以上とした場合に顕著となる。
 ノズル11から吐出された液体50が気流60の影響を受けると、例えば図3に示す塗装領域31の縁部311,312を含む領域を、Y軸方向に沿って移動するヘッド10を用いて塗装する場合において、縁部311,312を塗装するための液滴51の着弾がばらつき、塗装品質が低下する場合がある。具体的には、例えば、縁部311,312の直線性の乱れや、塗装領域31の外側への液滴51の着弾が生じることにより、塗装品質が低下しやすくなる。かかる塗装品質の低下は、例えば真直度が70μm以上、さらに100μm以上となる場合に顕著となる。ここで、真直度とは、図4に示すノズル11の直下に位置する仮想的な液滴51aから、実際に着弾した液滴51までの距離をいう。
 そこで、実施形態に係る塗装装置1は、塗装領域31の縁部311,312を塗装する場合と、それ以外の部分を塗装する場合とで、ノズル11から吐出される液体50の吐出率を異ならせる制御を行うこととした。具体的には、塗装領域31の縁部311,312を含む第1領域を第1モードで塗装し、縁部311,312を含まない第2領域を、第1モードよりも吐出率の高い第2モードで塗装する。これにより、塗装領域31の縁部311,312がシャープになり、見栄えが良くなる。このため、実施形態に係る塗装装置1によれば、塗装品質を向上することができる。
<塗装方法>
(第1の実施形態)
 次に、実施形態に係る塗装装置1が実行する塗装方法について、図5、図6を用いて説明する。図5は、第1の実施形態に係る塗装方法で塗装された塗装領域の第1領域および第2領域の一例を示す平面図である。図6は、塗装装置の第1モードの一例を示す説明図である。
 上述したように、塗装装置1は、塗装領域31の縁部311,312を含む第1領域R1を第1モードで塗装する。ここで、第1モードとは、ヘッド10が有する複数のノズル11のうち、一部のノズル11を用いて液体50を吐出し、残りのノズル11からは液体50を吐出させずに塗装する態様である。具体的には、第1モードにおける吐出率を1%~10%、さらに4%~6%として塗装することができる。吐出率が1%未満だと、例えば塗装領域31の縁部311,312を見栄えよく塗装できない可能性がある。また、吐出率が10%を超えると、例えばノズル11から吐出された液体50が気流60の影響を受けやすくなり、塗装品質が低下する可能性がある。ここで、吐出率とは、図2に示す複数のノズル11のうち、塗装に使用されるノズル11の割合をいう。例えば、100列のノズル11のうち、5列のノズル11を用いて液体50を吐出する場合の吐出率は5%である。なお、複数のノズル11からの液体50の吐出/不吐出は、例えば列単位で制御してもよく、個別に制御してもよい。また、液体50を吐出させるノズル11は、列方向および/または行方向に連続していてもよく、不連続であってもよい。なお、縁部311,312は、塗装領域31の最も外側に吐出される液滴51により形成されており、ヘッド10のノズル11のうち、塗装領域31の最も外側に位置するノズル11から吐出される。縁部311,312は、ヘッド10のノズル11のうち、塗装領域の31の最も外側に位置するノズル11から全体の1%である、例えば、16個目のノズル11から吐出される液滴51により形成されていてもよい。
 また、第1領域R1の領域R1-1は、塗装領域31の縁部311を含む塗装領域31を、ヘッド10を用いて所定の吐出率で塗装したときに、液滴51が着弾する領域である。同様に、第1領域R1の領域R1-2は、塗装領域31の縁部312を含む塗装領域31を、ヘッド10を用いて所定の吐出率で塗装したときに、液滴51が着弾する領域である。
 また、第2領域R2は、塗装領域31のうち、縁部311,312を含まない領域である。本実施形態に係る第2領域R2は、第1領域R1以外の領域である。ヘッド10は、第2領域R2を、第1モードよりも吐出率の高い第2モードで塗装する。具体的には、第2モードにおける吐出率を90%以上、さらに95%以上として塗装することができる。第2モードにおける吐出率は、第1モードよりも高ければよく、50%以上であってもよい。
 このように、塗装領域31の縁部311,312を含む第1領域R1を、吐出率を抑えた第1モードで塗装することにより、ノズル11から吐出された液体50が受ける気流60の影響を低減することができ、塗装品質が向上する。
 一方、縁部311,312を含まない第2領域R2を、第1モードよりも吐出率の高い第2モードで塗装することにより、塗装効率が低減しにくくなる。
 なお、上述した第1モードおよび第2モードにおける制御に用いられる各種パラメータは、例えば、制御装置40の記憶部45に記憶させることができる。また、制御部41が実行する塗装領域31の塗装順序に制限はなく、いかなる順序で塗装させてもよい。例えば、制御部41は、第1領域R1→第2領域R2の順に塗装させてもよく、第2領域R2→第1領域R1の順に塗装させてもよい。さらに、領域R1-1→第2領域R2→領域R1-2の順に塗装させてもよい。
 第1モードにおいて、制御部41は、液体50が吐出されないノズル11内の液体50に対し、所定の制御信号を入力し、振動させてもよい。これにより、第1モードで使用されないノズル11を詰まりにくくすることができる。
 また、第1モードにおいて、第1領域R1に対応しないノズル11内に位置する液体50を吐出させる、いわゆる捨て吐出を行ってもよい。ここで、捨て吐出とは、例えば、少量の液体50を第2領域R2に吐出することを含む。これにより、第1モードで使用されないノズル11を詰まりにくくすることができ、かつ、第2領域R2の塗装品質も維持できる。
 また、第1領域R1および第2領域R2は、同じ速さで塗装されてもよく、異なる速さで塗装されてもよい。例えば、第1領域R1→第2領域R2の順に塗装領域31を塗装する場合、第1領域R1は第2領域R2と同じ速さで塗装されてもよい。これにより、例えばノズル11からの吐出速度と塗装速度とのタイミングのずれに伴う不具合が低減できる。
(第2の実施形態)
 図7は、第2の実施形態に係る塗装方法で塗装された塗装領域の一例を示す平面図である。図7に示す被塗装物30は、被塗装面30aに矩形状の塗装領域31を有している。塗装領域31は、Y軸方向に沿って延びる縁部321,323と、X軸方向に沿って延びる縁部322,324を有している。
 塗装装置1は、塗装領域31の縁部321~324を含む第1領域R1を第1モードで塗装する。第1領域R1は、縁部321を含む領域R11と、縁部322を含む領域R12と、縁部323を含む領域R13と、縁部324を含む領域R14とを含む。領域R11,R13は、Y軸方向に沿って移動するヘッド10-3によって塗装される。領域R12,R14は、X軸方向に沿って移動するヘッド10-4によって塗装される。
 また、本実施形態に係る第1領域R1は、第1モードで重複して塗装される重複領域である第1重複領域S1を含んでもよい。かかる第1重複領域S1は、ヘッド10を異なる方向に移動させながら複数回塗装されてもよい。
 一方、縁部321~314を含まない第2領域R2を、第1モードよりも吐出率の高い第2モードで塗装する。これにより、塗装効率が低減しにくくなる。なお、第2領域R2は、Y軸方向に沿って移動するヘッド10-3によって塗装されてもよく、X軸方向に沿って移動するヘッド10-4によって塗装されてもよい。
 なお、制御部41が実行する塗装領域31の塗装順序に制限はなく、制御部41は、いかなる順序で塗装領域31を塗装させてもよい。例えば、制御部41は、第1領域R1→第2領域R2の順に塗装させてもよく、第2領域R2→第1領域R1の順に塗装させてもよい。さらに、制御部41は、第1領域R1を、例えば、領域R11→領域R12→領域R13→領域R14の順に塗装させてもよく、領域R11→領域R13→領域R12→領域R14の順に塗装させてもよい。さらに、塗装領域31がヘッド10の幅よりも小さい場合、制御部41は、例えば、互いに向かい合う領域R11,R13を同時に塗装させてもよく、領域R12,R14を同時に塗装させてもよい。
 また、第1領域R1および第2領域R2は、異なる速さで塗装されてもよい。例えば、第1領域R1→第2領域R2の順に塗装領域31が塗装される場合、第1領域R1は第2領域R2よりも高速で塗装されてもよい。これにより、例えば第1領域R1が第1モードで塗装される場合に、縁部321~324の近傍に位置する塗装領域31の外側に液体50が付着し、縁部321~324の見栄えが低下する不具合を低減できる。また、領域R11~R14は、同じ速さで塗装されてもよく、異なる速さで塗装されてもよい。
(第3の実施形態)
 図8は、第3の実施形態に係る塗装方法で塗装された塗装領域の一例を示す平面図である。図8に示す被塗装物30は、Y軸方向に並ぶ複数の塗装領域31を被塗装面30aに有している。
 塗装装置1は、塗装領域31の縁部331を含む第1領域R1の領域R1-1を第1モードで塗装する。複数の塗装領域31が有する領域R1-1は、Y軸方向に沿って移動するヘッド10によって塗装される。
 また、塗装装置1は、塗装領域31の縁部332を含む第1領域R1の領域R1-2を第1モードで塗装する。複数の塗装領域31が有する領域R1-1は、Y軸方向に沿って移動するヘッド10によって塗装される。
 また、塗装装置1は、縁部331,332を含まない塗装領域31の第2領域R2を第2モードで塗装する。複数の塗装領域31が有する第2領域R2は、Y軸方向に沿って移動するヘッド10によって塗装される。
 このように、ヘッド10の一方向の動作で複数の塗装領域31を順次塗装することにより、塗装効率が向上する。
(第4の実施形態)
 図9は、第4の実施形態係る塗装方法で塗装された塗装領域の一例を示す平面図である。図9に示す被塗装物30は、第1領域R1を含む塗装領域31を被塗装面30aに有する。第1領域R1は、Y軸方向に沿って延びる縁部341を含む。なお、図9では、第2領域R2の図示を省略している。
 第1領域R1は、縁部341に沿う方向にヘッド10を移動させながら第1モードで塗装される。このとき、第1領域R1は、縁部341から離れるにしたがって明度が高くなるグラデーション塗装で塗装されてもよい。縁部341から離れるにしたがって明度を高くすることにより、第1モードで塗装された液滴51と第2モードで塗装される液滴51との境界が視認しにくくなり、塗装品質がさらに向上する。
(第5の実施形態)
 図10は、第5の実施形態に係る塗装方法で塗装された塗装領域の一例を示す平面図である。図10に示す被塗装物30は、第1領域R1を含む塗装領域31を被塗装面30aに有する。第1領域R1は、Y軸方向に沿って延びる縁部351を含む領域R11と、X軸方向に沿って延びる縁部352を含む領域R12とを有する。なお、図10では、第2領域R2の図示を省略している。
 領域R11は、縁部351に沿う方向に移動するヘッド10によって第1モードで塗装される。領域R12は、縁部352に沿う方向に移動するヘッド10によって第1モードで塗装される。領域R11および/または領域R12は、縁部351側および/または縁部352側から離れるにしたがって明度が高くなるグラデーション塗装で塗装されてもよい。これにより、第1モードで複数回塗装される第1重複領域S1に着弾される液滴51を適度に減らすことができることから、塗装品質が向上する。
(第6の実施形態)
 図11は、第6の実施形態に係る塗装方法で塗装された塗装領域の一例を示す平面図である。図11に示す被塗装物30は、第1領域R1および第2領域R2を含む塗装領域31を被塗装面30aに有する。第1領域R1は、Y軸方向に沿って延びる縁部361を含む。
 第2領域R2は、縁部361に沿う方向に移動するヘッド10によって第2モードで塗装される。このとき、第2領域R2は、縁部361から離れるにしたがって明度が高くなるグラデーション塗装で塗装されてもよい。縁部361から離れるにしたがって明度を高くすることにより、第1モードで塗装される第1領域R1と第2モードで塗装される第2領域R2との境界が視認しにくくなり、塗装品質がさらに向上する。
(第7の実施形態)
 図12は、第7の実施形態に係る塗装方法で塗装された塗装領域の一例を示す平面図である。図12に示す被塗装物30は、第1領域R1、第2領域R2および第2重複領域S2を含む塗装領域31を被塗装面30aに有する。
 第1領域R1は、Y軸方向に沿って延びる縁部371を含む。第1領域R1は、縁部371に沿う方向にヘッド10を移動させながら第1モードで塗装される。第2領域R2は、縁部371に沿う方向にヘッド10を移動させながら第1モードよりも吐出率の高い第2モードで塗装される。
 第2重複領域S2は、第1モードで塗装されるときと第2モードで塗装されるときに重複して塗装される領域である。このように、第1領域R1と第2領域R2の間に第2重複領域S2を位置させることにより、第1モードで塗装される第1領域R1と第2モードで塗装される第2領域R2との境界がさらに視認しにくくなり、塗装品質がさらに向上する。なお、図12に示した例では、第1領域R1および第2領域R2を同じ方向に塗装する例について説明したが、これに限らず、例えば、縁部371に交差する方向にヘッド10を移動させながら第2領域R2を塗装してもよい。
(第8~第10の実施形態)
 図13~図15は、第8~第10の実施形態に係る塗装方法で塗装された塗装領域の一例を示す平面図である。図13~図15に示す被塗装物30は、被塗装面30aの塗装領域31のうち、第1領域R1と第2領域R2との間に第2重複領域S2が位置している。図13に示すように、第2重複領域S2は、縁部371から離れるにしたがって明度が高くなるグラデーション塗装で塗装されてもよい。縁部371から離れるにしたがって明度を高くすることにより、第1モードで塗装される第1領域R1と第2モードで塗装される第2領域R2との境界がさらに視認しにくくなり、塗装品質がさらに向上する。かかるグラデーション塗装は、例えば、第1領域R1を塗装する第1モードで行われてもよく、第2領域R2を塗装する第2モードで行われてもよい。さらに、第1モードおよび第2モードの両方でグラデーション塗装が行われてもよい。
 また、図14に示すように、第2重複領域S2は、縁部381から離れるにしたがって明度が高くなるグラデーション塗装(第1グラデーション塗装)で第1領域R1を塗装する際に、第1領域R1とともに第1モードで塗装されてもよい。また、図15に示すように、第2重複領域S2は、縁部391から離れるにしたがって明度が高くなるグラデーション塗装(第2グラデーション塗装)で第2領域R2を塗装する際に、第2領域R2とともに第2モードで塗装されてもよい。
 以上、本発明の各実施形態について説明したが、本発明は上記実施形態に限定されるものではなく、その趣旨を逸脱しない限りにおいて種々の変更が可能である。例えば、上述の実施形態では、第1モードと、第2モードとが吐出率のみ異なる例を示したがこれに限定されるものではない。例えば、1つの吐出孔から吐出される液滴において、第1モードにて吐出される液滴が、第2モードにて吐出される液滴よりも少なくなるようにしてもよい。また、1つの吐出孔から吐出される液滴のサイズにおいて、第1モードにて吐出される液滴のサイズが、第2モードにて吐出される液滴のサイズよりも小さくなるようにしてもよい。
 以上のように、実施形態に係る塗装方法は、液体50を吐出する複数のノズル11を有するヘッド10を用いて被塗装面30aの塗装領域31を塗装する。塗装方法は、塗装領域31の縁部に沿う方向にヘッド10を移動させながら第1モードで塗装する工程と、第1モードよりも吐出率の高い第2モードで塗装する工程とを含む。縁部の少なくとも一部を含む第1領域R1は、第1モードで塗装される。これにより、実施形態に係る塗装方法によれば、塗装品質が向上する。
 また、実施形態に係る塗装装置1は、塗装領域31を塗装する。塗装装置1は、液体50を吐出する複数のノズル11を有するヘッド10と、複数のノズル11からの液体50の吐出を制御する制御部41とを備える。塗装装置1は、ヘッド10を塗装領域31の縁部に沿う方向に移動させながら塗装する第1モードと、第1モードよりも吐出率の高い第2モードとを有する。制御部41は、塗装領域31の縁部の少なくとも一部を含む第1領域R1を、第1モードで塗装する。これにより、実施形態に係る塗装装置1によれば、塗装品質が向上する。
 さらなる効果や変形例は、当業者によって容易に導き出すことができる。このため、本発明のより広範な態様は、以上のように表しかつ記述した特定の詳細及び代表的な実施形態に限定されるものではない。したがって、添付の請求の範囲及びその均等物によって定義される総括的な発明の概念の精神又は範囲から逸脱することなく、様々な変更が可能である。

Claims (14)

  1.  液体を吐出する複数のノズルを有するヘッドを用いて被塗装面の塗装領域を塗装する塗装方法であって、
     前記塗装領域の縁部に沿う方向に前記ヘッドを移動させながら第1モードで塗装する工程と、
     前記第1モードよりも吐出率の高い第2モードで塗装する工程と
     を含み、
     前記縁部の少なくとも一部を含む第1領域は、前記第1モードで塗装される
     塗装方法。
  2.  前記縁部を含まない第2領域は、前記第2モードで塗装される
     請求項1に記載の塗装方法。
  3.  前記第1モードにおいて液体が吐出されない前記ノズル内の液体を振動させる工程を含む
     請求項1または2に記載の塗装方法。
  4.  前記第1モードにおいて、前記第1領域に対応しない前記ノズル内に位置する前記液体を吐出させる
     請求項1または2に記載の塗装方法。
  5.  前記第1モードでは、前記縁部から離れるにしたがって明度が高くなる第1グラデーション塗装を行う
     請求項1~4のいずれか1つに記載の塗装方法。
  6.  前記第1領域は、前記第1モードで重複して塗装される第1重複領域を含み、
     前記第1重複領域は、前記第1グラデーション塗装で塗装される
     請求項5に記載の塗装方法。
  7.  前記第1重複領域は、前記ヘッドを異なる方向に移動させながら複数回塗装される
     請求項6に記載の塗装方法。
  8.  前記第2モードでは、前記縁部から離れるにしたがって明度が高くなる第2グラデーション塗装を行う
     請求項1~7のいずれか1つに記載の塗装方法。
  9.  前記塗装領域は、前記第1モードおよび前記第2モードで重複して塗装される第2重複領域を含み、
     前記第2モードでは、前記第2重複領域を前記第2グラデーション塗装で塗装する
     請求項8に記載の塗装方法。
  10.  前記第1モードでは、前記第2重複領域を、前記縁部から離れるにしたがって明度が高くなる第1グラデーション塗装で塗装する
     請求項9に記載の塗装方法。
  11.  前記塗装領域を塗装する前記ヘッドと前記被塗装面との間隔は5mm以上である
     請求項1~10のいずれか1つに記載の塗装方法。
  12.  前記第1モードでは、1%~10%の吐出率で塗装する
     請求項1~11のいずれか1つに記載の塗装方法。
  13.  塗装領域を塗装する塗装装置であって、
     液体を吐出する複数のノズルを有するヘッドと、
     前記複数のノズルからの液体の吐出を制御する制御部と
     を備え、
     前記塗装装置は、
     前記ヘッドを前記塗装領域の縁部に沿う方向に移動させながら塗装する第1モードと、
     前記第1モードよりも吐出率の高い第2モードとを有し、
     前記制御部は、前記縁部の少なくとも一部を含む第1領域を、前記第1モードで塗装する
     塗装装置。
  14.  前記制御部は、前記縁部を含まない第2領域を、前記第2モードで塗装する
     請求項13に記載の塗装装置。
