- the process of network equipment sending data to terminal equipment can be called downlink transmission.
- the process of the terminal device sending data to the network device can be called uplink transmission.
- network equipment or terminal equipment performs check code addition, code block segmentation, channel coding, rate matching, and coding on the original bits in the transport block (TB) before transmitting data.
- Block cascading, scrambling, modulation, layer mapping and multi-antenna precoding generate baseband signals and map them to antennas for transmission.
- Layer mapping refers to the code word obtained by concatenating code blocks after rate matching.
- the modulation symbols for scrambling modulation are mapped to multiple layers to obtain a new code stream.
- up to two codewords can be processed in parallel, that is, two processes from transmission blocks to codewords can be processed in parallel.
- the layer mapping process includes layer mapping of 1 codeword and layer mapping of 2 codewords.
- 1 codeword refers to a single codeword stream.
- 2 codewords refers to a dual codeword stream.
- Single-code word streams can be mapped to up to 4 layers, and dual-code word streams can be mapped to up to 8 layers.
- Multi-antenna precoding refers to mapping the code stream of N layers to N antenna ports based on the precoding matrix, that is, multiplying the output vector of each layer by a precoding matrix to obtain the precoding matrix.
- the result of encoding corresponds to the number of antenna ports.
- the number of layers can also be alternatively described as "number of transport layers".
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic diagram of a codeword processing process provided by an embodiment of the present application.
- resource unit Resource Element, RE
- Physical antenna physical antenna
- the number of antenna ports is the actual number of "paths", and the number of antenna ports is less than or equal to the number of physical antennas.
- the antenna port does not have a one-to-one correspondence with the physical antenna. It may be one-to-many or many-to-one.
- the receiver uses the Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) to estimate the uplink and downlink equivalent channels and then demodulate the data.
- DMRS Demodulation Reference Signal
- Each layer of data after layer mapping needs to be allocated a DMRS port, and DMRS is sent based on the multi-antenna precoded DMRS port, so that after the receiver receives the DMRS, it can estimate the equivalent channel of the layer data and demodulate the data. Therefore, DMRS is sent together with data, and the same precoding matrix as the data is used to perform multi-antenna precoding on DMRS. There is a one-to-one correspondence between DMRS, layer number and DMRS port.
- the network device can instruct the terminal device to receive the time-frequency resources of DMRS so that the terminal device can
- the DMRS is received on the indicated DMRS time-frequency resource, the DMRS is used to estimate the downlink equivalent channel, and the downlink data sent by the received network device is demodulated.
- the network device can instruct the terminal device to send the DMRS time-frequency resource, and the terminal device sends DMRS on the DMRS time-frequency resource indicated by the network device, so that the network device can receive DMRS on the indicated DMRS time-frequency resource, and utilize DMRS for uplink, etc.
- the effective channel is estimated and the uplink data sent by the received terminal device is demodulated.
- DMRS includes two different time domain mapping types: mapping type A (Type A) and mapping category B (Type B).
- mapping type A mapping type A
- mapping category B mapping category B
- the main difference between these two time domain types is the position of the first symbol carrying DMRS in the resource block (RB), that is, the time domain starting position of DMRS in the RB is different.
- mapping type A the first symbol carrying DMRS in the RB is located in symbol #2 or symbol #3 in the time slot.
- This mapping method does not care about the starting position of the actual data transmission, but fixes the DMRS at the relative edge of the time slot. For example, it is located after the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH).
- PDCCH physical downlink control channel
- FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of DMRS mapping type A provided by the embodiment of the present application.
- the smallest unit in the frequency domain is a subcarrier, and the bandwidth can be 15KHz.
- the smallest unit in the time domain is a slot, and a slot can be 1 millisecond (millisecond, ms).
- Each small square in the time-frequency resource grid represents an RE.
- the bandwidth of an RE in the frequency domain is 15KHz and the length of one OFDM symbol in the time domain.
- 12 consecutive subcarriers in the frequency domain and 1 slot in the time domain form an RB.
- NCP normal cyclic prefix
- one slot includes 14 OFDM symbols.
- the first symbol carrying DMRS in the RB is located at symbol #2 in the timeslot.
- DMRS can be located in the front symbol of the resource block (RB), that is, the prefix DMRS, which helps the system obtain lower processing delay. In this way, the receiver can perform channel estimation as early as possible. Regardless of whether the transmission is completed or not, the receiver can perform relevant demodulation on the buffered received data without having to receive and buffer all the data before processing.
- RB resource block
- mapping type indicated by the network device is mapping type A
- the time domain starting position of DMRS is relative to the starting position of the time slot
- mapping type B For the DMRS time domain structure of mapping type B, the first symbol carrying DMRS in the RB is fixed in the first symbol mapped to the data transmission resource (such as PDSCH). At this time, the time domain starting position of DMRS is not relative to the starting position of the time slot symbol #0, but relative to the starting position of the data transmission resource. Mapping type B is mainly used in scenarios where data transmission only occupies a small part of the symbols of a time slot to reduce transmission delay.
- (b) in Figure 2 is a schematic diagram of DMRS mapping type B provided by the embodiment of the present application.
- the first symbol carrying DMRS in the RB is located at symbol #8 in the timeslot.
- DMRS includes two different configuration types: configuration type 1 (type 1) and configuration type 2 (type 2).
- FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of DMRS Type 1 provided by the embodiment of the present application.
- the frequency domain resources of DMRS are distributed at one RE interval in the frequency domain of one symbol, with a density of 50%.
- 3GPP TS 38.211 V16.7.0 stipulates that REs on even-numbered subcarriers can provide 2 orthogonal DMRS ports. REs on odd-numbered subcarriers can also provide 2 orthogonal DMRS ports. Multiple DMRS ports using the same subcarrier belong to the same Code Division Multiplexing (CDM) group.
- type 1 corresponds to two CDM groups, such as CDM group 0 and CDM group 1.
- each CDM group can provide 2 orthogonal DMRS ports; when using dual symbols, each CDM group can provide 4 orthogonal DMRS ports. Since the DMRS sequences corresponding to the DMRS ports of different CDM groups occupy different frequency domain resources, they are orthogonal to each other. DMRS sequences corresponding to different DMRS ports in the same CDM group occupy the same time-frequency resources, and orthogonal cover code (OCC) is used to make the DMRS sequences corresponding to these ports orthogonal to each other.
- OCC orthogonal cover code
- FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of DMRS Type 2 provided by the embodiment of the present application.
- the frequency domain resources of DMRS are connected together every two REs in the frequency domain of one symbol, separated by 4 REs from each other, and the density is 33.3%.
- type 2 corresponds to three CDM groups, such as CDM group 0, CDM group 1 and CDM group 2.
- the DMRS sequences corresponding to different DMRS ports in each CDM group are also orthogonal through OCC codes.
- Each DMRS port in type 1 occupies a higher frequency domain resource density and has better channel estimation performance.
- Type 2 supports more orthogonal DMRS ports and can support the transmission of more layers of data.
- Each DMRS port is identified by a port number.
- the time-frequency resource position occupied by the DMRS sequence is determined by the port number and configuration type (type 1 or type 2).
- the configuration type is indicated to the terminal device through the high-level signaling radio resource control (RRC) parameters, and the port number is indicated to the terminal device through the antenna ports (antenna ports) field in the downlink control information (DCI).
- RRC radio resource control
- the embodiment of the present application provides a method for sending DMRS.
- the network device first flexibly determines the expansion mode of the DMRS port based on the channel information of all currently scheduled terminal devices; then configures the expansion mode of the DMRS port for each terminal device, as well as instructions.
- the DMRS sequence is generated in such a way that the terminal device receives DMRS or sends DMRS through the DMRS port of the extended CDM group.
- This method flexibly selects the expansion mode of the DMRS ports of each CDM group to ensure orthogonal expansion of the DMRS ports in different scenarios, thereby achieving robust channel estimation and data demodulation.
- the channel information in this method can be delay spread or other channel information, which is not subject to application and is not limited. For ease of description, the following takes channel delay spread as an example.

Description

M=4,表示type 1对应的两个CDM组的DMRS端口扩展2倍。
M=6,表示type 1对应的两个CDM组中,一个CDM组的DMRS端口扩展3倍,一个CDM组的DMRS端口不扩展。

M=2,表示type 2对应的三个CDM组的DMRS端口均扩展2倍。
M=3,表示type 2对应的三个CDM组中,一个CDM组的DMRS端口扩展3倍,一个CDM组的DMRS端口扩展2倍,一个CDM组的DMRS端口不扩展。
M=4,表示type 2对应的三个CDM组中,一个CDM组的DMRS端口扩展4倍,两个CDM组的DMRS端口不扩展。
