(システム構成)
図1を参照して、実施形態に係る移動通信システム1の構成について説明する。以下において、移動通信システム1が3GPP規格の第5世代システム(5G/NR:New Radio)である一例を主として説明するが、移動通信システム1には、第4世代システム(4G/LTE:Long Term Evolution)システム及び/又は第6世代システムが少なくとも部分的に適用されてもよい。
図2を参照して、移動通信システム1のプロトコルスタックの構成例について説明する。図2に示すように、UE100と基地局210との間の無線区間のプロトコルは、物理(PHY)レイヤと、MAC(Medium Access Control)レイヤと、RLC(Radio Link Control)レイヤと、PDCP(Packet Data Convergence Protocol)レイヤと、RRC(Radio Resource Control)レイヤとを有する。
図3及び図4を用いて、実施形態に係る移動通信システム1における想定シナリオについて説明する。移動通信システム1の標準化プロジェクトである3GPPのリリース18では、2つの送受信部を有するUE100が複数のSIMを用いて複数のネットワークとの通信を行う機能を策定するためのワークアイテムが立ち上がっている。
図4を参照して、UE100の構成例について説明する。図4に示すように、UE100は、アンテナ101と、アンテナ102と、SIM111と、SIM112と、通信部120と、制御部130とを有する。アンテナ101及びアンテナ102は、UE100の外部に設けられてもよい。SIM111及びSIM112は、SIMカード又はeSIMであってよい。
図5を参照して、第1ネットワーク200Aの基地局210Aの構成例について説明する。なお、第2ネットワーク200Bの基地局210Bも基地局210Aと同様の構成であるため、説明を省略する。図5に示すように、基地局210Aは、アンテナ211と、無線通信部212と、ネットワーク通信部213と、制御部214とを有する。
(1)第1動作例
図7から図12を参照して、移動通信システム1の第1動作例について説明する。本動作例おいて、UE100は、第1ネットワーク200Aのプライマリセル(Pセル)210P及びセカンダリセル(Sセル)210Sに在圏している。第1ネットワーク200Aの1つの基地局210AがPセル210P及びSセル210Sを管理していてよい。或いは、第1ネットワーク200Aのある基地局210AがPセル210Pを管理し、第1ネットワーク200Aの他の基地局210AがSセル210Sを管理していてもよい。なお、Pセル210Pは、キャリアアグリゲーション動作におけるPセルであってもよい。また、Sセル210Sは、キャリアアグリゲーション動作におけるSセルであってもよい。また、Pセル210Pは、デュアルコネクティビティ動作におけるマスタセルグループ(MCG)に属するPセルであってもよい。また、Sセル210Sは、デュアルコネクティビティ動作におけるセカンダリセルグループ(SCG)に属するプライマリセカンダリセル(PSセル)であってもよい。また、Sセル210Sは、デュアルコネクティビティ動作における、マスタセルグループ(MCG)、及び/又は、セカンダリセルグループ(SCG)に属するセカンダリセル(Sセル)であってもよい。
第2ネットワーク200Bにおいて、AMF221Bは、UE100宛のページングの送信を要求するページング要求(Paging request)を基地局210Bに送信する。基地局210Bのネットワーク通信部213は、ページング要求を受信する。
基地局210Bの無線通信部212は、ページング要求の受信に応じて、UE100宛のページングメッセージ(Paging)を送信する。UE100のRRC処理部131(受信部120R)は、ページングメッセージを基地局210Bから受信する。RRC処理部131は、第1ネットワーク200Aとの通信中に第2ネットワーク200BにおいてRRCアイドル状態又はRRCインアクティブ状態にあるときに基地局210Bからページングメッセージを受信する。UE100は、ページングメッセージを第1送受信部121を介して受信してもよいし、第2送受信部122を介して受信してもよい。
RRC処理部131は、ページング受信通知をNAS処理部132へ提供する。NAS処理部132は、ページング受信通知をRRC処理部131から受け取る。ページング受信通知は、UE100がページングを受信したことを通知するためのものである。RRC処理部131は、ページング受信通知により、第2ネットワーク200Bにおいてページングメッセージを受信したことをNAS処理部132へ示してよい。
NAS処理部132は、能力制限指示をRRC処理部131へ提供する。RRC処理部131は、能力制限指示をNAS処理部132から受け取る。能力制限指示は、後述の制限情報の送信を指示するためのものであってよい。能力制限指示は、制限情報の内容を示してもよい。
RRC処理部131は、第2ネットワーク200Bとの通信のために制限情報を第1ネットワーク200Aへ送信する制御を行う。通信部120は、第2ネットワーク200Bとの通信のために制限情報を第1ネットワーク200Aへ送信する。具体的には、通信部120は、制限情報をPセル210Pへ送信する。通信部120は、制限情報を含むメッセージをPセル210Pへ送信してもよい。基地局210Aの無線通信部212は、Pセル210PにおいてUE100からの制限情報を受信する。
Pセル210Pを管理する基地局210Aのネットワーク通信部213は、スケジューリング停止指示を、Sセル210Sを管理する他の基地局210Aへ送信してもよい。基地局210Aは、Pセル210P及びSセル210Sを管理する場合、制御部214の内部にてPセル210Pを管理するエンティティからSセル210Sを管理するエンティティへスケジューリング停止指示を送ってもよい。
基地局210Aの無線通信部212は、Pセル210Pにおいて、UE100の通信能力を一時的に制限するための設定情報を含むメッセージ(例えば、RRC再設定メッセージ)をUE100へ送信する。UE100の通信部120は、設定情報を含むメッセージをPセル210P(第1ネットワーク200A)から受信する。当該メッセージは、制限情報に対する応答であってもよい。
RRC処理部131は、通信能力の制限を実行したことに基づいて、第2NW切替準備完了通知をNAS処理部132へ提供する。NAS処理部132は、第2NW切替準備完了通知をRRC処理部131から受け取る。第2NW切替準備完了通知は、第2ネットワーク200BとRRC接続を確立するための準備が完了したことを示す通知であってよい。
NAS処理部132は、第2NW切替完了通知の受信に基づいて、第2NW接続指示をRRC処理部131へ提供する。RRC処理部131は、第2NW接続指示をNAS処理部132から受け取る。第2NW接続指示は、第2ネットワーク200BとRRC接続を確立するための指示であってよい。
RRC処理部131は、第2NW接続指示に基づいて、基地局210BとRRC接続を開始するための処理を行う。RRC処理部131は、例えば、RRC接続を確立するためのRRCセットアップ手順(Setup)又はRRC接続を再確立するためのRRC再確立手順(Reestablishment)を実行してよい。また、RRC処理部131は、中断(suspend)されたRRC接続を再開(resume)するためのRRCレジューム手順(Resume)を実行してもよい。本動作例では、RRC処理部131は、RRCセットアップ手順を実行するケースを例に挙げて説明する。
基地局210Bの無線通信部212は、SRB(Signaling Radio Bearer)1を確立するために用いられるRRCセットアップメッセージをUE100へ送信する。UE100の通信部120は、RRCセットアップメッセージを基地局210B(第2ネットワーク200B)から受信する。UE100の制御部130は、RRCセットアップメッセージに基づいて、RRC接続(例えば、SRB1)を確立するための処理を実行する。制御部130は、RRC接続を確立するための処理を実行した後、ステップS114の処理を実行する。
RRC処理部131は、RRCセットアップ完了メッセージを第2ネットワーク200B(具体的には、基地局210B)へ送信する制御を行う。通信部120は、RRCセットアップ完了メッセージを第2ネットワーク200Bへ送信する。基地局210Bの無線通信部212は、RRCセットアップ完了メッセージをUE100から受信する。
基地局210Bの無線通信部212は、第2ネットワーク200Bの通信に用いる通信能力に関する能力情報を要求するための能力問合せメッセージ(例えば、UE能力問合せメッセージ)をUE100へ送信する。UE100の通信部120は、能力問合せメッセージを第2ネットワーク200B(基地局210B)から受信する。UE能力問合せメッセージは、他のRAT(Radio Access Technology)用だけでなく、NR(NR Radio Access)用のUE無線アクセス能力を要求するために用いられるメッセージである。
RRC処理部131は、能力情報を転送するための能力情報メッセージ(例えば、UE能力情報メッセージ)を第2ネットワーク200Bへ送信する制御を行う。通信部120は、能力情報メッセージを第2ネットワーク200Bへ送信する。基地局210Bの無線通信部212は、UE100からの能力情報メッセージを受信する。UE能力情報メッセージは、ネットワークにより要求されたUEアクセス能力を転送(transfer)するために用いられるメッセージである。制御部130は、UE100の通常の通信能力(制限されていない通信能力)を示す情報を能力情報メッセージに含めてよい。
RRC処理部131は、第2ネットワーク200Bとの通信に用いるUE100の通信能力を一時的に制限するための制限情報を第2ネットワーク200Bへ送信する制御を行う。通信部120は、制限情報を第2ネットワーク200Bへ送信する。通信部120は、制限情報を含むメッセージをPセル210Pへ送信してもよい。基地局210Bの無線通信部212は、Pセル210PにおいてUE100からの制限情報を受信する。
基地局210Bの無線通信部212は、UE100の通信能力を一時的に制限するための設定情報を含むメッセージ(例えば、RRC再設定メッセージ)をUE100へ送信してよい。UE100の通信部120は、設定情報を含むメッセージを第2ネットワーク200B(基地局210B)から受信する。
図12及び図13を参照して、第2動作例について上述の動作例との相違点を主として説明する。第2動作例では、UE100が、通信能力の一時的な制限を解除又は変更するための情報を、第2ネットワーク200Bへ送信するケースについて説明する。
UE100は、第1ネットワーク200Aとの通信を終了する。
基地局210Aの無線通信部212は、RRC解放メッセージをUE100へ送信する。UE100の通信部120は、RRC解放メッセージを基地局210Aから受信する。UE100の制御部130は、RRC解放メッセージの受信に基づいて、第1ネットワーク200AにおいてRRCコネクティッド状態からRRCアイドル状態又はRRCインアクティブ状態へ遷移する。これにより、UE100は、第1ネットワーク200AにおいてRRC接続を解放してよい。
制御部130(例えば、RRC処理部131)は、RRC接続の解放完了を示す解放完了通知をNAS処理部132へ提供してよい。制御部130(例えば、NAS処理部132又はNASレイヤよりも上位レイヤの処理部)は、解放完了通知の受信に応じて、第2ネットワーク200Bとの通信に用いるUE100の通信能力の一時的な制限を解除するか否かを判定してよい。また、制御部130は、当該通信能力の一時的な制限を変更するか否かを判定してよい。
図12に示すように、NAS処理部132は、第2ネットワーク200Bとの通信に用いるUE100の通信能力の一時的な制限を解除すると判定された場合、能力制限解除指示をRRC処理部131へ提供する。RRC処理部131は、能力制限解除指示をNAS処理部132から受け取る。能力制限解除指示は、後述の制限解除情報の送信を指示するためのものであってよい。能力制限解除指示は、制限解除情報の内容を示してもよい。
制御部130(RRC処理部131)は、能力制限解除指示に基づいて、第2ネットワーク200Bとの通信のために制限解除情報を第2ネットワーク200Bへ送信する制御を行う。通信部120は、第2ネットワーク200Bとの通信のために制限解除情報を第2ネットワーク200Bへ送信する。具体的には、通信部120は、制限解除情報をPセル210Pへ送信する。通信部120は、制限解除情報を含むメッセージをPセル210Pへ送信してもよい。基地局210Bの無線通信部212は、Pセル210PにおいてUE100からの制限解除情報を受信する。制限解除情報は、第2ネットワーク200Bとの通信に用いるUE100の通信能力の一時的な制限を解除するために用いられる。
Pセル210Pを管理する基地局210Bのネットワーク通信部213は、スケジューリング開始指示を、Sセル210Sを管理する他の基地局210Bへ送信してもよい。基地局210Bは、Pセル210P及びSセル210Sを管理する場合、制御部214の内部にてPセル210Pを管理するエンティティからSセル210Sを管理するエンティティへスケジューリング開始指示を送ってもよい。
基地局210Bの無線通信部212は、Pセル210Pにおいて、UE100の通信能力の一時的な制限を解除又は変更するための設定情報を含むメッセージ(例えば、RRC再設定メッセージ)をUE100へ送信する。UE100の通信部120は、設定情報を含むメッセージをPセル210P(第2ネットワーク200B)から受信する。当該メッセージは、制限解除情報又は制限変更情報に対する応答であってもよい。
UE100は、Pセル210P(又はMCG)との通信を維持しつつ、Sセル210S(又はSCG)との通信を開始する。
上述の実施形態では、UE100が2つの送受信部を有するケースについて説明したが、これに限られない。UE100は、複数の送受信部を有していればよい。例えば、UE100は、3つ以上の送受信部を有していてもよい。

前記通信能力を一時的に制限するための制限情報を、前記第2ネットワークへ送信するステップと、を備える
