Abstract
The invention provides an isolated nucleotide sequence disclosed in the specification, and an amino acid sequence deduced from the nucleotide sequence. Plant cells can be transformed with the isolated nucleotide sequence to confer on the plant resistance to maize streak virus (MSV). The plant is typically digitaria or maize. Gene constructs and vectors containing the isolated nucleotide sequence are also disclosed.
