Abstract

A manipulating device for manipulating a container includes a support means engageable with a support surface and a carrier means for carrying the container. The device also includes a displacement means for displacing the carrier means relative to the support means between a lowered loading position in which the carrier means receives the container and a raised discharging position in which the container is raised above the lowered loading position and is inclined at an angle to the support surface to permit any material within the container to be discharged therefrom under the operation of gravity.
