Abstract
Se trata de un cable, en particular para transmision o distribucion de energía eléctrica, que presenta una capa interna que comprende un materialautorreparador con una cohesion predeterminada y una fluidez controlada, de manera de restablecer, conla aparicion de una discontinuidad en al menosuna de las capas de revestimiento del cable, la continuidad en el revestimiento. La discontinuidad en el revestimiento puede ser causada por abusosmecánicos de diferentes tipos, por ejemplo por unimpacto a ccidental con herramientas cortantes. De esta forma, se evitan la infiltracion de humedady el generamiento de corrientes de pérdidas, que ocasionan una rápida corrosion del conductor.
