Abstract
Célula vegetal monocotiledonea o semilla de ella que contiene un polipéptido de mamífero, producido por la expresion, dentro de la célula o de la semilla,a paartir de un cassette de expresion, que comprende una secuencia de codificacion para el polipéptido , de modo tal que en la célula vegetal o la semilla hayaun rasgo adicional seleccinado del grupo formado por: (a) el polipéptido que se expresa fusionado a una senal de retencion del retículo endoplasmático (RE);(b) la secuencia de codificacion para el polipéptido que está precedida, en el cassette de expresion, por una secuencia líder 5 no traducida (5 UTR); (c) elpolipéptido que se expresa fusionado al péptido líder; (d) cualquier combinacion de un par formado entre (a),(b) y (c); y (e)una combinacion de (a), (b) y(c). Para aumentarel rendimiento del polipéptido dentro de la célula o semillas, la secuencia codificante puede fusionarse a secuencias adicionales de modo tal que elpolipéptido se fusiona a una senal de retencion ER, tal como, KDEL o HDEL,y/o a un péptido líder,tal como,una senal para dirigir un objetivo a los cloroplastosTambién para aumentar el rendimiento, la secuencia codificante para el polipéptido puede ser fusionada a secuencias adicionales, por ejemplo, a una secuencialíder no traducida 5.
