Abstract

Método para mejorar significativamente el brillo y propiedades de coloracion de productos de PCC de alta calidad. El método incluye la provision de unaalimentacion que contiene calcio con impurezas colorantes. La alimentacion que contiene calcio sec onvierte en una lechada acuosa de carbonato de calcio. Acontinuacion, la lechada se pasa por un tamiz fino de malla 325 para obtener una lechada de carbonato de calcio grado material de carga. La lechada decarbonato de calcio grado material decarga se somete a molienda en humedo para liberar las impurezas colorantes y reducir el tamano medio de partículas delcarbonato de calcio a menos de 2 micrones. Las impurezas colorantes se separan magnéticamente de la lechada de carbonato de calciosometie ndo a ésta a un campomagnético de gran intensidad. Después del paso de separacion magnética, se puede eliminar el agua de la lechada para obtener un polvo seco, o, comoalternativa, la lechada se puede dejar en su forma acuosa. En cualquiercaso, el p roducto de carbonato de calcio resultante tiene un tamano medio de partículade menos de 2 micrones y un brillo TAPPI superior a 96.
