Abstract
Un espejo retrovisor externo tiene una lámina especular, un dispositivo para regular la posicion de la placa especular y que comprende un activador, una estructura de soporte para sostener el activador, un alojamiento que admite la placa especular, el activador y la estructura de soporte; un punto vertical de giro situado en el interior del alojamiento; un dispositivo para la estabilizacion de las posiciones del espejo, incorporado en la estructura de soporte y armado de modo de articularse alrededor del puntal; una base colocable en el costado de un vehículo, la que tiene una protuberancia en la que se sostiene el puntal; y una estructura de refuerzo situada en la base. La estructura de soporte, el puntal y la estructura de refuerzo están compuestos por un material plástico que es similar al material plástico de los demás componentes, donde tanto la parte principal como la parte de encaje, receptores de tornillos, una parte lateral en forma de manguito y su costado con muescas están moldeados en material plástico y, en conjunto, forman un solo elemento enterizo.
