Abstract
Un método para determinar la orientación de un primer cano en una tubería que tiene una serie de uniones, la tubería está insertada en un pozo, cada unión tiene un miembro espiga conectado por medio de rosca a un miembro de acoplamiento, el miembro espiga y el miembro de acoplamiento están ubicados en una posición de unión completa cuando se instalan en la tubería, dicho método comprende: ubicar una marca de alineación de la espiga en cada miembro espiga; ubicar una marca de alineación de acoplamiento en cada miembro de acoplamiento; realizar con una máquina una pluralidad de roscas en cada miembro espiga y en cada miembro de acoplamiento en una profundidad calculada, de modo tal que la marca de alineación de la espiga esté alineada en forma circunferencial con la marca de alineación del acoplamiento cuando el miembro espiga y el miembro de acoplamiento se encuentren en la posición de unión completa; y observar la orientación de un segundo cano en la tubería para determinar una posición circunferencial del primer cano.
